Adam slowly opened his eyes, sunlight seeping in through mostly shit eyelids. He raised his hand to block the light as he turned around to face away. A breeze blew past him from behind, red hair flowed forward. Adam ran his hands through it to keep it at bay- and stopped. This isn't him. Adam looked at his hands and arms, red sleeves adorning his upper arms. Red hair flowed back in front of his face.
Nope. You've got to be messing with me right now. Must be a dream. This has to be a dream.
Adam Shoji was in his character's body. Aella. He was never so happy he had made a human character in his life. At least he got half of the equation right. The lighter body of the female avatar felt a little odd to Adam. He was slender enough in reality, but in the game it felt different. Different weight distribution, if he had to guess.
Alright just stay calm and think through this. This is real. I'm just gonna treat it as such.
"Alright. First thing is to start using my name. Aella. A-la? Ay-la. Yeah that's it. I've never actually said it aloud before, now that I think about it. And I guess I'm a 'her' now?Ugh, my voice is different too. I'm going to have to get used to it."
Aella finally got around to looking up. Surrounding her were all different walks of life from Elder Tale, walking in the streets, talking to NPCs in booths- it was insane. The city itself was completely different too. Completely overgrown, the buildings were definitely recognizable. Aella's apartment was actually just down the street. "That's my first stop, then." She began to walk down the street, slipping between people, who seemed to be in similar situations. Confused mutters and arguments were beginning to break out, and Aella didn't really want to be present when the shit hits the metaphorical fan. Struggling through the crowd, she popped out of one group onto the sidewalk. She was in front of the building, it seemed. That was weird, considering it took a lot less time then normal. Stepping aside of the crowds, Aella pulled up the game menu.
"Just as I thought. No log out. Alright, big surprise. Now, let's check out inventory, and there they are. Level 1 weapons. Its nice to see these again," she said as she switched to status. "Yeah, Starter Gear everywhere. Rapier on right hip, sword on back." She felt the weight appear on their respective positions. She was already used to the body at least, after surviving the crowd and all. It was probably different in battle, but that was a whole different story. Wasn't a problem right now.
"And now to discover any and all information available." Aella headed back into the crowd, determined to find out the source of this madness.
