[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Eadon [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Owen Sinclair [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 17 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Naoshi Haruki, Starry Sky [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Eadon [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Probably the first thing anyone ever notices about Eadon are his eyes. An almost golden colour, they are unusual in that they are only a few shades lighter than his auburn hair is. Somewhat short for his age, and with a very slight build, Eadon benefits from physique better suited to running, dodging and agility than any heavy lifting. That said though, despite his slightness and small size Eadon is fairly well toned, his body fine-tuned and deceptively strong. He has large fairly open eyes, making him come across as innocent or naive. That said, this is only when he isn't asleep, which he is surprisingly often. His auburn hair is fairly short, only reaching to his ears, usually very messy and in a complete disarray of orange spikes. The idea of hair care is a foreign one to Eadon, resulting in the messy almost constant just got out of bed look. On the rare occasions he is forced to use a comb, or style it in some way, it usually sits much more neatly and makes him seem surprisingly dignified. His preferred clothing is super-comfortable and colourful casual outfits, usually consisting of various jackets, t-shirts and jeans - often only ever wearing armour or more formal clothing when absolutely necessary. Unusually for a Summoner and a magic based class, he wears a set of chainmail armour and wields a sword in addition to his grimoire in combat due to his abilities as a novice blacksmith. He prefers brighter colours where possible, not being a huge fan of drab or dreary outfits. Eadon is not super complicated, and more or less wears what he would have worn in the real world in the digital one. Largely devoid of scars, freckles, injuries, tattoos or any other distinctive marks, the only really noticeable feature is a birthmark on his upper left arm which resembles a crescent moon. Eadon is fairly well tanned, a result of an active lifestyle and too many days spent out adventuring or on the beach if he can get away with it, both in real life and in the virtual one. He avoids jewelery, unless it is not really noticeable and has particularly powerful magical effects, as he considers it to be too girly. Eadon usually comes off as highly approachable and friendly, if a bit eccentric and fast-paced at the same time. Not the type to stand still for any length of time, he tends to be constantly on the go and with seemingly boundless energy, no doubt a result of sleeping far too much. If you had to sum him up physically with only five words, the best ones would be small, messy, eccentric, naive and happy. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Eadon's personality can best be described with one word. That word being hyperactive. Everything from his choice in clothes, to how he speaks, moves and interacts with people comes back to this point. Eadon finds sitting still or listening to long speeches boring, and would much prefer to be out and doing something than sitting around. Even in real life, he was not your typical computer gamer, being hugely into team sports, camping and other adventure type sports. Eadon, or Owen as he was in the human world, only played Elder Tales because he had friends who made him sign up for an account. Usually very passionate, super friendly and hopelessly innocent and naive, combined with his complete lack of anything resembling inhibitions or boundaries, people tend to either love him for his openness and his outgoing personality, or hate him because he is obnoxious, loud and doesn't think about consequences. Something of a firebrand, he suffered from ADHD in the real world, and usually got fairly poor grades in everything except for PE, his various metalworking classes and in his extracurricular activities. Not traditionally smart, or particularly intuitive, he doesn't tend to notice when his passions or his exuberance get on peoples nerves, though does not mean anything bad by it. His favourite sports in real life were fencing and orienteering, which both prove to be immensely useful skills in the world of Elder Tale. For this reason, even despite his class being a magic wielding Sorcerer class, he still prefers to use a sword as his primary weapon, due to his real life experience with wielding one, his classes proficiency with them, and because he thinks it makes him look cooler than if he had a wand. He thinks wands and staffs are for girls, and stuffy old wizards who live in giant castles in Scotland, after all. Generally good intentioned, Eadon is nonetheless easily lead and would do terribly in any position of leadership. Due to his brash personality, he loves being on the frontline in battles, despite his low HP and physical abilities as a Sorcerer, often leading to many problems that could have been easily avoided. If that passion and love for doing things is properly channeled by someone who knows how to manipulate it however, Eadon can be guided into being much more useful to a group. With such a super outgoing personality, Eadon also has a tendency to crash, usually faling asleep almost instantly if offered half a chance and then proceeding to sleep for hours upon hours. He hates being woken up, and will usually grumble and refuse to get out of bed unless physically dragged away. Fairly open with his emotions, Eadon is just as likely to show anger or sadness as he is to show his usual enthusiastic and buoyant personality. That said though, these emotions rarely last long, and only in exceptional circumstances. Eadon knows that people only tend to like him because of his happy go lucky attitude, so tries not to dwell on things that upset him. His greatest fears are being alone for any long period of time, being trapped and unable to explore or adventure, and strangely enough cats. He absolutely hates cats, convinced that if he is left alone with one it will try and kill him. Eadon is almost incapable of acting serious, and completely incapable of staying still, always either fiddling with something tapping his foot, or stretching if forced into sitting still for any long period of time. He is also useless in formal situations, even if scrubbed up well and made to look presentable he will soon find a way to go back to his usual scruffy look, and his behaviour tends to wreck the calm and sophisticated look pretty quickly anyways. In the real world, Eadon wanted to join the army and go on adventures, so is not overly upset about being trapped in the world of Elder Tale, where he can explore and entirely new world. He would love to join a combat based guild at some point, and secretly hopes to become the best sword wielding Summoner in the entire world. Eadon treasures his friends, of which he tends to make quite a few if given half an opportunity, but is horrible at reading them. This makes him a loyal friend, if an unobservant one. If someone he trusts asks him for help, he will give it with out a second thought. While more interested in adventuring and swordfights than he is in relationships, Eadon is still willing to consider them if they stumble upon him. he is not really bound up by conventional standards of sexuality, and is generally more interested in what a person is like than in whether they are male or female. his Myers Briggs personality type is ESTP, or The Doer. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Eadon was born in the town of Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The youngest of eight children, he literally could get away with almost anything during his childhood and took full advantage of this, with his various older brothers and sisters often covering for him when he went too far with his antics. Being born in a small tourist trap town, Eadon quickly became good at making friends with almost anyone - spending a lot of his time exploring the island and the land around his town or befriending the children of random tourists. His parents were both very Scottish, his mother having lived on the island her entire life, and his father having come from Northern Scotland, bringing with him the Sinclair surname. Despite this though, Eadon never picked up the accent, or only in trace amouts, watching far too much television and listening to far too much music while growing up, helping to make him at least somewhat understandable to Brits and Americans. Outside of school, he mostly spent his time playing sports or with various friends playing video games or generally wasting time. Happy go lucky, and generally hating to sit still, Eadon was very popular at his school, though had his own share of enemies, forcing him to adapt and be able to fight and defend himself when necessary, which was occasionally a bit too often. He eventually hoped to apply for the army, and go explore the rest of the world, and put his talents for fighting and for bravery to use. The main attraction of the town, an ancient Scottish castle, was also home to a local fencing instructor who taught Owen a great deal about the use of swords. Because of the isolation, he also spent quite a bit of time online, making a huge network of friends living all across the country. It was through this group that he became aware of the game Elder Tale, and of its impending release in the UK, set to coincide with the release of some new expansion, the Novasphere Pioneers, or some such thing. Whatever the case, Eadon figured he would give the newly released game a go, if only for a few days, in order to appease his friends. He was far more interested in sports, and exploring the countryside, after all, than spending his time cooped up in his room with a computer game, after all. When he signed in though, and suddenly found himself trapped within the game, everything changed. Faced with a huge and unexplored world, Eadon felt only one thing. Excitement. This was better than anything he had ever dreamed of, and now he could be one of the first to discover and experience this new frontier. Eadon is also very interested to see just how magic can work, and what kinds of things he can make with it. A target struck by the weapon at this time can be ignited, causing minor damage over time. Because of the direct hit necessary to activate this skill, it is a slightly risky strategy. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Blink, level 4, Tier I Skill A short range teleportation technique often employed by the Sorcerer for emergency escape. The Sorcerer jumps in a direction and teleports about 1-5 meters away in the desired position. The only downside is that the teleportation distance is very haphazard and might actually not move you very far. Still, it's a useful means of misdirection especially when you're up against only one enemy. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Fragarach Arms, level 7, Tier I Skill The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the wind element, causing it to glow green and release a gentle air current from its surface. This spell persists until the user violently swings their weapon in a vertical arc. At that moment, a cutting wave of air will be immediately launched forward. Fragarach Arms thus serves as a short-term solution in combating enemies who get too close. if used on the caster's weapon. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Thunderbolt Crash, level 10, Tier I Skill The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the lightning element, causing it to glow white and occasionally release sparks from its surface. A target struck by this weapon is inflicted with a minor paralysis effect. It can also affect a target who uses uninsulated metal equipment. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Icicle Impale, level 13, Tier I Skill The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the ice element, causing it to glow blue and seemingly crystallize as though it were encased in ice. If an opponent's weapon makes direct contact with the enchanted weapon at this time, it will freeze and become more difficult to wield, lowering the opponent's attack speed. Likewise, if the enchanted blade comes in direct contact with the opponent's body, the opponent will be slowed for a little while. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Heatsink (Blacksmith, level 1) Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Speed Forge (Blacksmith, level 11) The blacksmith's role in an active situation usually demands that their teammates' equipment is kept up to shape. A broken weapon cannot hurt much, while broken armor will only spell trouble against a difficult foe. It is in this time that blacksmiths will prioritize speed over quality. By taking makeshift materials around them, be it metal fragments, ore, or even rocks, they quickly melt it down and fix up equipment for the time being. Proper repairs will have to be performed following the battle in order to prevent impurities from weakening the equipment's quality. Defense debuff effects are halved when this skill is used on a target. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Placeholder (Blacksmith, level 21) A skill shrouded in mystery. When the Level 21 skill is released, you may switch this out to that skill. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Seal of Aquarius (Sigilmaker, level 1) The Sigilmaker is able to create emblems which passively raises a target's stats for a short duration. When using this skill, the Sigilmaker must declare one of the following stats: Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Intelligence, Wisdom. The target will receive an Aquarius Sigil buff and the stat selected will be increased by 5% for the duration of the target's next post. Only one Aquarius Sigil can affect a single target at a time. For every 10 levels the Sigilmaker achieves, the duration of an Aquarius Sigil increases by 1 post. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Burnished Chainmail: Level 10 Chainmail Armour. A simple but lightweight set of chainmail made with very fine links that have been shined to a bright finish. Not an incredible peice of armour, it does however do the job admirably for such low leveled gear, and looks very nice to boot. Obviously it was made with care by a highly accomplsihed, if lower leveled, craftsman. Reforge: [Increases the wearer's maximum HP by 2.5% when equipped.] [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Camulus: Level 10 Rapier. This rapier, while similar to its predecessor Lugus in many ways, is made from better materials and has obviously had a lot more time spent on it by a craftsman who has learnt many lessons in swordsmanship from previous mistakes. it is better balanced, has no noticeable faults and is a well made blade in every respect. Its only downfall is its relative simplicity, and that it uses only readily available level 10 materials in its production. Reforge: [Every hit with this rapier has a 2.5% chance of inflicting a paralysis debuff on the target.] [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Apprentice Grimoire: A one-handed apprentice’s book of spells designed for novice mages, made out of cheap materials. Doesn’t particularly have too many pages, but it is better than nothing. If used by a magic class, you get the ability to shoot a basic magic attack with a range of 2 meters. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Bracelet of Ankou: This bracelet is made of a seemingly simple but complex leather celtic knot weave, and is impossible to find where the bracelet starts and where it ends. The bracelet is named after the Celtic god of Death, Ankou. Reforge: [Fragarach Arms damage +2 levels]. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: Cloak of Senuna: This cloak is named after the Celtic Goddess Senuna, she is a rather generic celtic goddess but her shrine would normally be surrounded by workshops of crafters, thus it is hoped that this Cloak passes some of her power to its wearer to improve their craft. Reforge: [Bonus Blacksmithing Production Quality +1. The user may apply this bonus to raise a crafted item's level by 1. Crafted items cannot exceed their tier's level. Bonus Production Quality cannot be increased past 10.] [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: Description [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: Description [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Starter Long Sword: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. Starter Chainmail: A basic set of chainmail armor made from cheap iron. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Lugus: Level 1 Rapier. A plain and unadorned rapier, with a fairly straight metal blade and a basket style hilt that shares more in common with a spiders nest than any form of actual hand protection. This weapon is obviously not of high quality in materials, or made by a highly proficient craftsman, but has obviously been made with a lot of care. It is not really all too useful, but it is reasonably well balanced, not too heavy, and for the most part effective as a weapon for a beginner. It is named after Lugus, the ancient Celtic god of creation and learning. Reforge: [Increases the wearer's Attack stat by 0.25% when equipped.] |
