[attr="class","capsol"] Having had to run all the way back to the Messier Sage, Hiro managed to get another Divining Rod, since the other guys had happened to disappear for some reason. As much as he wanted to do this as a group, the others seemed to have all vanished somehow, which he could not explain at all. As surprising as it all sounded, even he had yet to fully understand what'd happened. Apparently, the Sage foresaw them leaving to take care of other things in the meantime, and knew that they would no longer be able to help out with the mission at hand, and had contacted Hiro to help him get back and obtain another Divining Rod. Rushing back, he heard about all this from the Messier Sage in the alleyway, and was given a replacement Divining Rod. As much as he found it confusing, he also found it somewhat relieving. He didn't want to endanger the others, and thought that this entire thing might be just a bit too much for them, but he didn't know how bad things would be, exactly. Finding himself being completely surprised by the situation at hand, he knew that time was of the essence now, so he rushed back to the Coastline, to search.
Hiro returned to the Coastline, with enough time to see a large number of adventurers and others who were interested in this mission now flocking to different parts of the beach, none of which had their own Divining Rod. So, as it stood, Hiro knew that he'd likely be able to just clear through all of this, holding the wand out before himself, and just find the artifact like that. Just as he started to pull the Divining Rod out, a few Adventurers decided that it would be a good idea to walk up to the Monk, looking at the weapon which he'd held in his hand. All of which seemed to be rather mean-looking individuals, but none of them exceeded his own level. The Adventurers had no idea what his level was, since they were still far enough away that they couldn't see it. But, he could tell that these ruffians weren't very strong at all, most of which being level 20's or so. It was about this time that their "leader" walked up closer to the Monk, ignoring his level entirely, and sneered. Hiro noticed how almost all of these guys had pompadours, and wore leather jackets, as though they were some sort of Japanese-style mob. All of them had grins on their faces, but none moved, as their leader who was now close to Hiro began to speak to him.

[attr="class","capsol"] The leader approached the Monk. "Yo..." He began, his voice deep and menacing. Hiro turned his attention to the guy, returning a glare. The leader just kept grinning. "So... My and my boys, we're gonna need that Divining Rod."
Hiro raised his eyebrow. "Oh?" He asked, in a taunting fashion. "I'm surprised you know what this even is."
The leader chuckled. "Yeah, yeah we know." He motioned to the rest of the group. "See, we want whatever this artifact piece is, but we're gonna need that in order to find it." He placed a hand on Hiro's right shoulder, an obvious height difference between he and Hiro. "Name's Gauze. Like the Japanese Punk band. Now that I've given you my name, perhaps we can be more civil towards each other?" The guys all around Hiro started to pull out weapons from their inventory. Swords, Clubs, Pipes, Knives, and one guy even had a Spiked Bat. "So, how's about you give us the stick, and you get to walk away?" Gauze leaned down to Hiro's level, his pompadour poking the Monk in the forehead. "Sound like a fair trade, kid?"
Keeping the glare on his face, Hiro let a grin of his own begin to form. "Normally, I'd agree." Hiro gently grabbed Gauze's hand off his shoulder, and took a step back. "But, I'd like to keep this for myself. Seems like a waste that such a powerful item be left in the care of a bunch of idiots who think they're tough shit, just because they have a gang-vibe going."
Gauze began to glare daggers at the monk. "The neep'D you say!?" He shouted, but was cut off by Hiro some more.
Lifting up his shoulders in a shrugging fashion, Hiro continued to taunt them. "You guys had better go back to town and beg the Sages for a Divining Rod, because you're not gonna get anything from me." Relaxing his shoulders once again, he tilted his head down a bit, the grin and glare reforming on his face. "Might I recommend that, if that doesn't work, you lot go ahead and gang-bang yourselves. Seems like the most productive thing any of you can do." The group was getting progressively more angered as Hiro turned around to start walking away. "Oh, and one more thing." He stopped in his place, turned his head back toward Gauze, and lifted up his middle finger to him. "Pompadours are stupid."
Clearly unable to hold his rage any further, Gauze lunged at Hiro. "YOU SONUVABITCH!" He screamed, throwing his fist toward Hiro. He, however, grinned even more widely, and ducked just down and underneath the punch. Within milliseconds, Gauze realized that Hiro had dodged it, but also realized the very obvious counter attack coming his way. Hiro's leg glowed blue for just a moment, and a sudden rising Roundhouse kick was performed into Gauze's stomach, which sent him flying into one of his homies behind him. Having successfully used Aura Kick, Hiro let the momentum carry him to a stopping position, resting his foot on the ground once again. A moment later, Hiro shuffled in place a bit, striking his battle stance, as the leader disappeared into data. One shot. That's how Monks do. The rest of the gang, seemingly hesitant, began to scream and charge him at the same time. However, their tactic to all run at him at the same time was smart, since most others would just go one at a time. But, it wasn't like Hiro wasn't used to this. Without waiting another moment, he vaulted backward onto his hands.
Just as the mob got close to him, he whipped his legs around like a helicopter, moving forward and into the punk just ahead of himself, following it up with the classic Windmill-style, and sweeping his legs low to knock the guy off balance. Finishing off on his back, Hiro rolled backward and jumped up to a standing position, just in time for the punk to get up a bit. Moving forward, Hiro brought his right leg up high, and forced it crashing down onto the guy's face, performing a solid Axe Kick. Intuition guided his next move, as he spun himself around after that attack, and thrust his left leg backward and into the chest of one of the other pompadour guys. Catching him off balance, Hiro followed up with a bit of flair. Spinning himself 720 degrees, he brought his right leg around for a strong, momentum-forced Roundhouse, knocking the guy off to the side and into the skies as data. He looked to his side with just enough time to see the Spiked Bat guy aiming to swing up high at him, which he crouched under, and drove his leg up into the guy's chin. Following up with another low sweep, knocking the guy completely off balance, Hiro stood back up and jumped up into the air a little ways. Dropping his elbow onto this guy, Hiro had dropped their numbers down further. The other 3 remaining, confused, shaking, and scared, he lowered himself for his next attack.

[attr="class","capsol"] The three that were left didn't seem like they wanted to fight all that much, so Hiro just remained in his crouched position. However, after just a few more seconds, it looked like at least two of them wanted to go at it. They decided to make a double attack, one sweeping low, and one sweeping high. Smirking as they did this, Hiro activated Wyvern Kick and launched himself up high into the air. The one guy swung high, but not high enough, apparently. As Hiro reached the top of his arc, he began to crash forcefully back down onto the one who swept high, causing a massive amount of damage suddenly. Enough to send him into data packets, anyways. As he landed, Hiro noticed the other guy just standing there in disbelief, to which he smirked. "Sorry, man." He said, tauntingly, as he wound back and decked him in the face. Luckily enough, this was the guy that Gauze had crashed into just a little while before, so he had already taken a bit of damage. This was enough to cause him to disappear as well. Turning one again, Hiro noticed the last guy, who was shaking in his place, before turning to run away.
Hiro sighed at this sight, and began to charge up a skill really quick. After a few moments of his hands being cupped together, Hiro released an Aura Dragon Punch at the last remaining member of the Pompadour Patrol. The blast caught up to its mark and sent him forward a bit, but it wasn't enough to kill him. Wondering why this was the case, Hiro watched as the guy began to get up. He noticed that he had some heavier armor on. Must've been a Guardian. But, he only had a bit of health left, so Hiro picked the Divining Rod out of his inventory, and grabbed it. Thinking that irony would be kinda fun to work with, Hiro reeled back and launched the rod, spinning powerfully. The end of the Divining Rod hit the last of them on the back, causing him to disappear. Patting off his hands from the dust and sand that may have accumulated on them, he began to walk after the Divining Rod. However, Hiro noticed that something was amiss. Moving closer to inspect it better, he noticed that the Rod was glowing at the top. Quickening his pace to a run, he got closer to the rod, and looked at it for just a few moments. Afterward, he got down onto his knees and began to dig.
Apparently, irony was on his side after all. After about a minute of digging, Hiro managed to scratch what looked to be a piece of tablet. Digging all around it, and lifting it up out of the ground, Hiro began to dust it off. Well, he couldn't really tell what was written on it, but it sure as hell looked like the tablet that Hiro needed to recover the piece off of. But, he wouldn't be able to turn it in right now, as the sand and wind had eroded pieces of it away, causing it to be incomplete. He would need to find some kind of a crafter that could fix this. But, he knew of only one type of crafter that would work with stone. Luckily enough, or unfortunately enough, he knew just the person to contact in order to get it all done and taken care of. Reluctantly, Hiro opened up his messaging system, and put a hand to his ear. "Hey, uhh... Saeko?" A loud, shrill yell was heard from the other end, but the conversation itself went down just fine. Hiro asked if the Samurai could take a look at the artifact, and if she could fix it. Of course, this meant that he had to trick her into accepting the job, by walking around in circles in conversation. Lowering his hand, and picking up both the Divining Rod and Artifact Fragment, Hiro began to walk back to the city. This would end up being a fairly long day, he felt. And, he was right.
