Having found himself back in the Alleyway, Hiro had returned to the Messier Sage. Having both the Artifact Fragment and the Divining Rod in his hands, he held them out for the Sage to take. "I had to have this repaired a bit, it was in some pretty bad condition. I hope that this will-" The Monk was cut off by the Sage, raising their hand up to him. The Sage looked at him for a moment, before taking both the Divining Rod and the Restored Cuneiform from his hands. Looking back to the Sage, he tilted his head a bit. "Are you... Is this all we need?" He asked. Just as he did, the Sage brought forth the Tablet, and began to fit the pieces together. Still covered up by the various bandages and coverings upon their body, the Sage's eyes, the only things that could be seen from the outside perspective, were heavily fixed on the tablet. As the pieces finally meshed together, the Sage read the imagery to themselves, squinting. After a few moments, the Sage's eyes shot wide open, and looked to the Monk. They seemed distraught, confused, and maybe a little bit scared.
The Sage placed the tablet on the ground, pointing at it. "This place..." They began to speak, silently. Their voice was androgynous as ever. "It's as if the stars demanded for this to happen..." Their eyes moved back up to Hiro, who returned the gaze. "Ultima Thule..." They muttered, pointing again to the tablet. "This is the place where you will find an even more powerful artifact. The Sages of old talked about this item... They talked about it with such reverence, as though it was their deity, or some other higher power." The Sage looked back down, reading now from the tablet. " 'The Heavens brought to us an artifact... One which we have kept close and hidden... Within the Temple of Ultima Thule.' " Their gaze returned to Hiro, this time more longingly. "I must apologize, young one, but I must ask you to search this place." The Sage walked over to him, grasping his arm tightly. "The storms around the area have opened it up once again for you to access it! It is as the world demands! I beg you, find the Pebble of Philosophy, one of the Alv's most guarded artifacts! If we could have this object... We would be one step closer to understanding them..." The Sage trailed off, and began to stagger backwards, murmuring to themselves.
Hiro felt it best to not speak further, except to confirm that he shall go to this place. Afterwards, the Sage continued to mutter inaudible words, as though they were stuck in a trance. Hiro had no idea how to react from there, and decided that the best decision he could make from this point was to go to this place. "Ultima Thule, huh..." Hiro looked up, as he walked. "So, it's some kind of a temple. Maybe there's some kind of a boss in there... Would I need to bring some help?" He asked himself, before quickly turning his head back forward, shaking it. "No, I can't endanger others." He found more power in his strut from there, strength flowing from his inner self. "This will have to be something I do on my own." He found the resolve in his body and mind, letting everything sink in. The secrets of the Alvs was definitely a powerful force to fight for. Learning what they had kept hidden for so long, or maybe even learning about this world in some way. He couldn't pass this up. If this meant even getting one step closer to finding a way home, then he had to take it. The magicks of the Alvs from long ago rivaled that of an immensely powerful spell, one that could transform the world. This was a chance that he had to take. With his body and mind prepped to find this Pebble, he continued on.
Unbeknownst to him, a shadow lurked and watched from afar...
