When the light faded and it felt like she stopped moving, Sayha finally opened her eyes. However, she couldn’t see very much as it was really dim. After a moment, she got her bearings and found that she was somewhere in some underground tunnels with torches lining the walls. “Now that you’ve accepted the price, you must now make your way through the Lonsdale catacombs to the city and save the city,” the Trickster’s voice entered her mind, “Stop the catastrophe.” She waited for more explanation, but she didn’t get any.
At that moment, though, Sayha realized that she was alone. “Hiro?” Sayha asked aloud, looking around. When she didn’t get a response, she became concerned. That was when Sayha pulled up her interface and opened her friends list. She clicked on Hiro’s name, but the telepathics weren’t working, and his location still showed the Purple Mirror Mansion. Did he not get teleported like she did? She had agreed for both of them, but then again the Trickster might not have accepted her accepting for both of them. Sighing, she realized she had to make a decision. She had to find the way out or just abandon the quest at that point. She was only level 13 at that point in time, and the <Pebble of Philosophy> didn’t seem to be activating as it had when she fought Brachyura. Of course, she had accepted the quest and, for all she knew, she was in the past. Who knew if the <Call to Home> would work. Probably not if the telepathics weren’t.

Sayha cleared her thoughts, realizing she really only had one choice. “<Silent Move>,” Sayha said aloud, activating her Tracker skill. Slowly, she made her way through the corridors, keeping both of her hands on the handles of her katanas the entire time. When she heard movement, she stopped instantly, crouching down. Even in the dim light, she saw a pack of four Kolbolds walking down one of the ways perpendicular to the one she was in. They were all level 15 or higher. There was an extremely slim chance of Sayha winning that fight, but she didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks. She crouched down along the side of the corridor, making herself as small as possible, and she slowed her breathing. The Kolbolds passed, not going anywhere near her. After making sure they were gone, Sayha stood and kept making her way down the corridor, turning where she hoped would lead her out. However, she kept being delayed because one, her <Silent Move> debuff, and two, she didn’t want to fight as it might cause mobs to come at her. If that were to happen, she would most certainly die. Sayha had no plans on dying.
In the distance, Sayha heard a noise, as if someone else were down in the catacombs fighting. She stopped and tried to zero in on their location. However, there were just too many walls for her to accurately pinpoint whoever else was there. It was possible that it was just some mobs getting mad at each other, but the thought that it could be Hiro, who was max level and able to kill everything here, made her a bit less anxious.
Though there was something on her mind that didn’t sit right with her.

When Sayha had listened to the Sages, she had no problem taking the quest. After all, it wasn’t unheard of Sages or Mages or whoever to find out the history of the world. After all, there were archaeologists and people who studied mythology back on the other side. At first, it was a simple quest – go find some piece of a tablet that had an eerie prophesy. She found it after taking an unhappy swim in the Thames. Of course thanks to water wear, she had to find an Artisan who would be able to restore the artifact. After searching the market area, she found a Lander Artisan who restored the piece at no cost since she was helping the Sages.
Though when she thought back, she hadn’t heard of the Sages before they appeared. Other Landers obviously knew them, and the Captain that took her to the Isle of Thune came to mind. Were they people who just kept to themselves unless they needed help?
Of course after being attacked by the weird crab man monster thing, Sayha probably should have questioned them more, but they gave a reasonable explanation… or at least the one she talked to did.
When she went to explain what happened, she ran into Hiro, a monk who had recently helped her with her Tracking skills. He was there helping the sages as well, but the sage he had spoken to was creepy and gave Sayha a bad feeling. However, the one she talked to was there also so she didn’t push any facts.
Though since she teamed up with Hiro, things went from being helpful to just downright confusing. Since then, the two hadn’t gotten any straight answers. Maybe Hiro was right to not trust the sages. However, she also knew that whatever was going on was big. It wasn’t something to ignore. Even if the two kept everything to themselves, they needed to know what was going on.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Sayha finding a decent sized room. After making sure it was empty, Sayha entered. There were still corridors all along the walls, which made Sayha feel a bit deflated. She was lost.
Sayha sighed, deactivating <Silent Move>. She found a spot and sat down, hoping maybe someone else would appear soon. In the meantime, a break wouldn’t hurt.
