[attr="class","capsol"] Things were getting a bit too heavy for Hiro. The realization that he had made beforehand seemed to throw a lot of things out of whack, which caused him to wonder if things were even normal to begin with. His vision of Hope, back when he fought Brachyura, seemed to be the end of Hope in general. She had died fighting that monster, yet somehow, she was alive at the point at which the war meeting happened. Something didn't sit right with the Monk, and he felt that there was some kind of connection that was missing. "Something doesn't feel right about it..." Hiro spoke to himself. "If she fought and died with Brachyura, then how would she have been at that war meeting?" The obvious answer was that the war meeting was sooner, but there was something different even about that. As much as he wanted to just assume the answer right there, he just couldn't bring himself to. That wasn't the true answer, Hiro felt. Then again, the whole prospect of Hope being a Lonsdale resident as well was all speculation, based on information that he had been formulating together, but either way, that just felt more correct to him.
While he was trying to explain his feelings to himself, Hiro had been walking around in the tunnels for a little while now. Not necessarily aimlessly, though he didn't know where exactly to go. This catacomb was rather extensive, and he felt that there was some trick to finding the correct way out. He felt like he was walking around forever now, but he'd only been here for at most 15 minutes. That would have been enough time to bury in any assailants, should they have entered this place as well. But, that was going back to the thought of this being a means to trap people inside, while the civilians escaped. As he thought about this, though, he walked further in, where he could see something like an open area up ahead. Nothing that lead out into the open, but it was an area that seemed to be bigger around than the tunnels. Perhaps some kind of a lobby of sorts? That might mean that he's getting closer to the exit. He walked ahead further, entering the open area. He looked around, seeing two tunnels, but it wasn't the tunnels that had caught his eye. On the opposite side from where he stood, he saw a female sitting there, with long purple hair. His eyes widened suddenly, as he realized who it was.
"Sayha...?" Hiro asked, somewhat confused. The last that Hiro had seen anything about the Assassin, he figured she was still in the Purple Mirror Mansion, back with the Trickster. Sure, she may not have liked being there, but at least she would have been safe from whatever was down here. Having had to fight level 30 monsters, Hiro was immediately concerned for her. She was sitting down when he had walked in. Maybe she had been attacked!? His worry skyrocketed, as he opened up his inventory in a hurry, pulling out some medicinal items that would likely heal her back up to full HP and MP. Afterward, he ran over toward where she sat, though as he got close enough, he saw that her health and MP were just fine. Letting out a sigh of relief, he slowed down to a walk, and put the items away in his inventory. Stopping a bit before her, he smiled. "Glad to see you're alright." He spoke in a genuine tone. It was nice to see that she was okay, but he was still worried about the fact that the level 13 Assassin was even here to begin with. his expression shifted to one more of concern, as he continued. "Did you run into any trouble here? The friend list said you were back in the Mansion. How'd you get here from there?" Sure, maybe a few more questions than he needed to ask, but he was still worried. He waited for her response.

Sayha had been sitting in the room for a while now. She knew she needed to get moving to find the exit, but she had a weird feeling that she should just stay for a while longer. After checking the tunnels to make sure they were still empty, Sayha sat back down and waited for a little while longer. Despite her feelings, when Sayha heard her name being called she thought she was going crazy. When she looked around, she didn’t see anyone at first since it was still dim. Then she saw a familiar face walk into the room via another tunnel.
“Hiro?” Sayha questioned, standing up. Even though she was surprised, she instantly felt relieved, “Thank God I’m not alone anymore.” Hiro also appeared relieved after he saw her, and he asked her how she had gotten there since on his friends list it stated she was still at the Mansion.
“I was actually about to ask you that as well,” Sayha replied, “On my friends list, it said you were at the Mansion. I tried to call you telepathically, but it didn’t work for whatever reason.”
“As for if I had trouble,” Sayha started, “I didn’t have any direct trouble. I used <Silent Move> to sneak through the catacombs pretty much unannounced. However, most of the mobs down here are decently higher than I am. I really don’t want to know what would happen if I were to die here, but I don’t think using the <Call to Home> spell would work if the telepathics aren’t working. Hope you don’t mind being a bodyguard while we’re stuck here?” Sayha did not like or want to rely on anyone like that, but she really didn’t have a choice. Hopefully, Hiro wouldn’t mind.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro's worry over the girl began to slowly fade away, as she had mentioned that she wasn't in any kind of danger. The sudden flow of relief for her safety almost forced the urge to throw his arms around Sayha, as though a giant weight were lifted off his shoulders. But, he would probably regret doing that, as well as she would probably not appreciate it that much. So, he held his ground for now, and decided against the action. Instead, the Monk listened to his friend's explanation of what had been going on. He was just as confused as she was, about the whole situation of having seen their names and locations saying back in the Mansion. That might have had something to do with them being in something like an instance. It would show the previously recorded place where they were, instead of the instance they were in. Then again, this meant nothing for time travelling, especially if they had actually time-traveled, and this wasn't just a game anymore. Delving deep into the game's lore, having players decide the fate of an existing place... Perhaps that was what this was.
His mind shifted back to when she had mentioned that she was glad she wasn't alone anymore. The mention probably meant nothing behind it, though Hiro felt a small sentiment there, just from the wording. He wouldn't think too hard on it, though, and continued to listen. She was right that most of the mobs here seemed to be above her level. But, given how far they had both presumably traveled, it was safe to say that they would likely be fine for the time being. But, it was always nice to be relied on, every so often. Hiro brought his hand up and pointed his thumb to himself. "You won't find a better bodyguard than your's truly, Sayha." He let a bit of bravado show, since he normally didn't try to primp himself up. "You can count on me." He finished his little statement, as he looked around again. "Call of Home wouldn't work here, I don't think, especially if this is something like an instance. Which would also explain why our last recorded locations would be the Mansion." He felt that Sayha should be appraised on the situation, as much as he was thinking about it. Then again, perhaps telling her about his thought on Hope's nationality would stay inside for now.
Hiro looked back to the Assassin, a bit of resolve in his eyes. "I'm assuming that the tunnel you were sitting next to was probably where you had happened to come from, right?" A safe assumption, he felt, so he continued. Turning to the last tunnel that they had left to explore, which he assumed would lead them to the exit. He motioned with his head, nodding in its direction. "Perhaps that will be the best way for us to go from here, then." He turned his head a bit, looking at Sayha out of the corner of his eyes. A smile found its way onto his face. "Shall we, then, milady?" He threw in a little bit of chivalry at the end, hoping for some kind of positive reaction out of her. If he as going to play the role of bodyguard, he might as well make the most of it. Turning ahead and starting to walk forward, he spoke a bit more. "Try to stay close. I'm fast, but I tend to mess up every now and again." Probably not the best thing to say, but honesty was key when it came to trust. That, and it would likely help solidify in her mind that she should probably actually stay close. Not that that was even in question to begin with, but still worth keeping in mind. One must always be prepared, as they say, after all.
Finally taking a step into the corridor, Hiro began to think back on what he had experienced while here in the catacombs, which he decided he would share with the girl supposedly near him. "So, I did a bit of thinking while I was here, walking along." His tone wasn't as loud as it usually was, but instead it held a more serious vibe. "Given all the hints and such that we were given back with the Trickster, and even before then, I've come to the conclusion that the Trickster, himself, is a remnant of Lonsdale. And a powerful one, at that." Turning to face her a bit, he continued walking and talking. "Think about it. Lonsdale residents supposedly were mythical, right? That meant they hold some impressive magical power. And the Purple Mirror Mansion being circled on that old map wasn't just a coincidence, I don't think." Hiro looked ahead again, his thoughts spilling out of him at this point. "Since the Trickster offered to send us here, and has somehow managed to cast us into the past... I think he may be connected to the Fairy Gates, which stopped working." His expression turned darker, as he squinted. "The Trickster may even control the powers of the Fairy Gates themselves." He fell quiet for a moment, hopefully letting his words sink in. "At least, that's what I think, given the evidence." Hiro paused in his speech, to let Sayha respond, if she, too, had a thought.

Sayha was slightly relieved that Hiro didn’t mind being her bodyguard for a while; actually, he almost seemed excited to be. When he explained the two of them were in an instance, she nodded. It made the most sense as to what the situation was. Hiro was also correct stating the tunnel she was sitting next to was the one she had just come from so she simply nodded and let Hiro continue talking. The two of them headed to the last corridor that they had neither of them had been through. Hiro went ahead, and Sayha followed close behind, keeping her eyes and ears peeled in case there were any enemies nearby. As they started their journey through the catacombs, Hiro’s voice turned serious when he told her some thoughts that had come to him while he had been alone. She was glad Hiro was able to get the details that she wasn’t, and everything he explained made sense to her.
“Well if you’re right about the Trickster, then things make a bit more sense,” Sayha replied, keeper her voice slightly lower than normal, “Then there’s another thing that we might be able to assume. Back when we asked about the old map, he said that he couldn’t project it but did it anyway. Maybe he was able to project it because he was there in that war meeting we saw. He obviously wasn’t in the form he was in now, but it is a possibility. Then maybe something happened with the Fairy Gate that turned him into the form that he once was.”
She was silent for a while trying to organize her thoughts, “If the Trickster was there, it is possible that the Messier Sages were there as well. We don’t know much about them, but it is kind of odd that we’ve never been able to see their faces. Maybe they’re covering them because of what the magic of the Fairy Gate did to them, but then again it doesn’t explain everything.”
That was when an eerie thought occurred to her, “What if… what if the Sages were the ones who betrayed Lonsdale and they knew what would happen if we found the Pebble… could this be their way of making up for their mistake?”

[attr="class","capsol"] A little after Hiro had begun walking with Sayha, he felt something nearby them. He turned his attention over to where the source of the disturbance was, but as he saw nothing, he let it slide. It wasn't anything bad that he had felt, but it was more of a complete feeling. Something along the same lines of an Enchanter that he knew. He figured that Capsule wasn't here at all, though he thought he might have felt another presence around them, matching the same aura as his Pharmacist friend. He returned his attention to what he was doing, a smile on his face. Hiro's attention had flicked to Sayha, as she had been speaking her own thoughts on the matter. She had brought up some good points, though one thing he probably could have explained by just mentioning that the Trickster's name was, in fact, the Trickster. But, as she continued to speak, he felt that maybe there was actually more to the story. If the Trickster was there in a previous form, perhaps as a human or something, then that might explain why he knew about the war meeting. Then, she began to mention how the Messier Order might have been in on it, too, possibly being the ones to cause the calamity that befell the city of Lonsdale. His mind flashed back immediately to the Sage that Hiro had been forced to deal with, and how they had become increasingly more hesitant, yet hostile, as time went on. Hiro squinted as Sayha finished her thoughts with the mentioning about the Pebble and how they might have been making up for their own mistakes, using the Adventurers to do so. He couldn't necessarily agree with that last part, though, and he would explain why. "It's possible, though," Hiro began. "That the Trickster could actually reach into our minds, and pull out the exact map that we were thinking of. His name is the Trickster, after all." He concluded this thought, giving a basis to some skepticism, before he moved onto the topic that she was going on about. "Then again, the other half would be that he was actually there, as you said, in a different form. And the Order of the Messier Sages could definitely predate the happenings of Lonsdale, as far as we know. But..." Hiro put a hand to his chin, still thinking, as they walked. "If we asked directly to the Sages, they might deny such a thing of being the truth, and therefore would try and dispel any belief in that. We may have to look into the validity of that on our own." He removed his hand from his chin. "That being said, though, there's one thing that we need to keep in mind. The Sages did know about the Pebble of Philosophy, but they didn't know where exactly it was, until we brought them the fixed up piece of the tablet. If they knew where it was to begin with, then why have us do all the dirty work to get that?"He paused for a second, making sure he wasn't crazy. "The link between the Trickster and the Fairy Gate is also still blurred, though we can both probably agree that there is definitely a link. As to what that link is, how it happened, and how it effects us, I don't have the slightest clue. The only thing we can really go on about that is that the attack on the Fairy Gate must have had something to do with the Trickster, or whatever previous form he was in. Again, that's assuming that the previous form was some other kind of being, and not the being that he is today. However, that link may prove to be the key to unlocking this whole mystery." His tone shifted more serious once again. "The Sages, Lonsdale, the Trickster, everything may be explained." He paused for a minute, the severity of the whole situation seeming to set in from there. His expression lightened up soon after, though, and he turned to face Sayha, smiling. "But, that's neither here nor there, at this current time." Lifting his head up a bit and facing forward, he spoke further. "We have something else to deal with for now, and that's whatever's going to happen up on the surface. We'd better be ready for that, first." Hiro fell silent from there, waiting to see if Sayha had anything further to say. Hiro listened to Sayha as she just spoke what came to her mind. Was it right, probably not. However, she was rather impressed with Hiro that he explained why he thought she was incorrect instead of just saying that she was, which is what happened to her a lot. After he was done talking, Sayha nodded. “ Though I think there is one thing I think we can both agree on, and that is that everything is connected to each other. We’re just going to have to determine how it is connected. If we figure that out, we might be able to figure out what we should really do.” Sayha pondered about the last bit, “As for what’s on the surface… if it was as big as a disaster as it sounds, I don’t know if just the two of us will be able to deal with it. I mean, this is the event that destroyed Lonsdale right? It’s not going to be a mob of five level 40’s or something. For all we know, we’re going to have to fight an army.”
They walked a little bit longer when Sayha saw a flash of light ahead of them. “It looks like the exit is straight ahead,” Sayha said, not sure if Hiro could see the light as well, “I guess now is the time we brace ourselves for what comes ahead.”
Just as they were about to reach the exit, both Sayha and Hiro began to glow for some strange reason. “Another vision?” Sayha questioned just as the glow overtook her.
