Sayha decided that she had put off leveling her Scribe subclass enough. It was time to finally get to work on it. That day, Sayha had made her way to St. Pancras Station in Londinium since that was the crafting hub. To start her off, she needed to at least make a Quill Pen, some paper, and some ink. First things first. She needed to find a feather to use as a base for her Quill Pen. However, that would be easier said than done. She wasn’t familiar with the Station at all; she had only been there once when she came to find an Artisan for what was now known as the Celestial Arms quest.
She had just finished the most recent portion of the quest with Hiro, a now good friend of hers. After their last game of Hide and Seek in Moon Dance Forest, Sayha had asked to join his guild, Aprocrypta. She enjoyed spending time with Hiro, and hoped that the rest of the guild would come to be her friend as well. That, though, was yet to be seen as she hadn’t met anyone else at that time.
Sayha let those thoughts enter her mind as she walked around the shops, looking for a feather. After a while, she found a very small booth selling basic scribe supplies. As much as she would have just preferred to buy the materials outright, she knew that it wouldn’t help her leveling at all. Instead, she bought a black feather she intended to turn into a pen. After talking to the scribe manning the booth, they helped her turn it into a Quill Pen.

Now that Sayha had the Quill Pen, she needed decided that the paper would be the best thing to make next. After reading the recipe on how to make paper, she ended up going to the British Royal News Headquarters where they had plenty of extra paper that Sayha could use to make the paper she needed. After she collected the paper, she returned to the Station where she knew of a good area to start her paper making skills. She started my taking the paper and soaking it together. Surprisingly though, it took longer than Sayha that thought it would. After it had become pulpy if that’s how you’d call it, Sayha started to mix the fibers together to make them into a uniformed piece. Once the pulp was mixed together, Sayha sifted it and let it dry, turning into her first piece.
Before she continued the process though, she wanted to make sure that the paper she had just made would be decent enough for what she had planned. The drying process took a while so Sayha used this time to get up and walk around. She watched other adventurers work on their crafting, and it made Sayha slightly jealous. Scribing seemed really boring to her, at least at that point. However, she knew it would come in handy for what she had planned.
She liked adventuring and exploring as well as questing and raiding. In the near future, Sayha had hoped to make a detailed map of each and every area as well as a larger, general map of the area. At that moment though, she was going to help Hiro with his collaboration on getting the trains running. She had planned on taking each and every train in the area as well as walking near the rails to make a detailed map of the pathway so that they could be available to those who needed it.

When Sayha returned to her station, her first paper was done. She was surprised it turned out as well as it had her first time, and she used that momentum to make her next sheet. She figured starting out two sheets would be fine. She could always come back later and make more if she needed to. Once again, she soaked the paper, turning it into a pulp. After sifting it and leaving it to dry, she decided to sit down and relax for a bit.
She thought back to some of her previous MMO games and her experiences with them. What usually caused her to jump from one MMO to the other was more than likely the lore aspects of the game. She loved lore. It made the game feel more alive. Of course, the situation was very much like that for her now since she somehow became trapped in the Elder Tales game. She wasn’t bitter about it at all, like some adventurers. Actually, she had never felt more alive living in the game now than she ever had before.
Back in the other world, it was like a part of her died when she moved from the US to England. She had found a place where she could belong, but then her witch step-mother ripped it from here. She had no idea what her father saw in that woman. All Sayha knew was that the witch hated her for some unknown reason, and she did everything possible to make her life miserable.
Of course, she was young when her mother died so she didn’t remember her well. What she did know, though, was that she had been a much kinder woman than the witch was.
Sayha sighed, standing up. Her second paper was done finally, which was good for Sayha. Now, the only thing left was to make the ink.

The ink, Sayha thought, was going to be tougher than the paper had been. Sayha left her area in the Station and began to wander through the stalls once more. She needed to find an Alchemist who was selling Mana Fragments. Thankfully, there were plenty of Alchemists around, most of them beginners. She was able to buy a few at a cheap price. Her problem though was that she wasn’t sure how many Fragments she would need in order to make the ink.
Then, she remembered she would want a small container for the ink once it was done being made. After walking around, she was able to find a small square glass container that was actually being thrown out. She took it willingly and left.
Sayha studied the recipe for making Magic Ink as she made her way back to her small area. The process itself sounded complicated, but she knew it would be easy once she did it the first time like how it had been with the paper. Following the instructions, she began to form the ink. It was a slow process like the paper had been. Patience was a necessity when it came to crafting… which was probably why Sayha had put it off for a while.
By the time she was done with the first batch of crystals, she realized that she didn’t have enough to fill the vial she had obtained earlier. Sighing, Sayha stretched a bit and looked around. She decided she would find another alchemist for the remaining Fragments.

Since Sayha had already located a series of Alchemist booths from earlier, she quickly weaved her way through the crowds at the Station. There seemed to be more people know which made Sayha feel like she was suffocating slightly. She had actually started get used to more people in smaller places, but that was still a work in progress. It was also a practice for a later time. For the time being, Sayha just focused on getting more Mana Fragments which she got easily and made her way back to her area. Sayha was thankful that she had chosen a very out of the way area where there was little to no foot traffic. It allowed her to finish her work in peace, or at least as peaceful as she could get. In the background, she could still here the muffled talking of everyone in the nearby area.
Sayha finished making the rest of the ink and then studied the now full and now closed vial. It looked black like any other ink she had ever seen, but she could see sparkles of blue scattered throughout. Sayha thought that it must be what remained of the Mana Fragments, but she doubted there was any way to know for sure what they were. Well, she could track down a higher-leveled Scribe and ask them, but she had a pretty good feeling they’d be just as clueless as she was.
Either way, though, Sayha had crafted her first supplies, and that was something for her. Now, it was time to meet up with Hiro. Hopefully, he hadn’t been waiting for her long.
