"Now what is going on around here?" Varis asked to no one in particular as he stood in the midst of Londinium while looking out at the mild crowd of adventurers that was oddly enough crowding around a certain area in particular. Varis had just came back from his hunt out in the fields and was actually quite curious of what was going on. The sky still represent as noon since the sun was still hanging up high in the sky, shining its brilliant light onto the world around them to banish majority of the darkness from the nights that dwells just on the nearby corner of the sky. There were quite a few cloud floating up in the sky as well, but none of them were dark to where it might storm soon. Just white fluffy clouds that just lazily floats around.
Then Varis decided to eavesdrop on a pair of adventurers that wasn't Landers that was for sure. "Oh man, did you hear how those sages uncovered something from an ancient civilization yet?" The other one replied as he was a thin framed man who was equipped with a grimoire from what Varis could guess. "I-I suppose so, though its just another quest isn't it?" Then the first one barked out laughing as he looked to be a Guardian from the heavy armor along with the broadsword at his belt and the tower shield that's set on his back. "Indeed it is! Which is why it is so interesting! Though you would have to talk to that Lander Sage first to receive a quest item to really do anything in the quest, but I heard that you can reap some good rewards from it!" This guy was definitely not being quiet about it, though in this case Varis guessed it would be a bit pointless to try to keep it a secret since just about everyone would know it eventually.
Then the pair had walked away and at this point Varis had obtained enough information for what was going on to grasp the idea now. Which kind of makes sense now for this crowd to be here. Folding his arms across his chest, he started to softly hum to himself before he mumbled to himself once again. "A quest... sounds like it would be fun, but first I would need to find this sage..." After saying that he looked out at the crowd of people as a faint smile spreads across his lips before he places a toothpick between his teeth almost like he was going to smoke but isn't going to. "That shouldn't be too hard though, just gotta follow the herd to my target." While he was in the middle of saying that, he would begin to make his way over to the crowd and would eventually weave through the crowd to get through.

After her initial run-in with the Sages, Sayha decided that she would keep a close eye on them. She returned from the Purple Mirror Mansion with Hiro, and he didn’t trust them at all. Sayha was not completely sure at that point in time. However, she figured that keeping a close eye on the Sages might bring about some new information about them, their circle, or at least about what was going on. Sayha was currently crouched down in an out-of-sight spot, having <Silent Move> active so that no one would hear her. She was watching as the Sages continued to give out quests. Most of the adventurers were decent level, veterans for a lack of a better word. That was when she saw a newbie samurai begin to make his way through the crowd. Not that there were any new people around since the Catastrophe, but she considered anyone under level 10 one. Then again, she had been a newbie when she originally picked up the quest, but no one had warned her what would happen. However, she also had no intention on telling him what she knew about the order. It wasn’t like he would trust a complete stranger that seemed to materialize out of nowhere.
For the time being, Sayha decided that watching was all she would do for the time being. If the samurai were to accept the quest, she would offer to assist him. If he were to accept his help, she would make help him of course. However, she had no intention on revealing herself to the Sages again. At least not yet. She needed to figure out their end game or at least come up with a better idea of what they’re after.

Not seeming to notice that he was being watched, or rather the crowd is being watched for the simple fact that there was quite a bit of people around here that he didn't really bother to take note on what people were looking at. Most were talking to either some new yet strong friends, or even forming plans with their other friends or maybe even from a guild. Varis kept to himself mostly, lazily scanning the area around him occasionally to make sure that he didn't get in someone's way where he would step away from their path while continuing to make his own way. In a way he really couldn't stand being in a crowd like this, too many people opens up too many vulnerable points where one can just slit his throat and just act like that assassin was a bystander only to scream in alert reducing the likeliness of getting caught in the act. Varis placed a hand over his left eye as that was just a scenario being played inside his mind that he tends to do when he isn't really thinking about anything in particular.
Then he would try to bluff of his mind scenario by taking the toothpick out from between his teeth as he approached the sage who was indeed handing out the quests that was more likely a Lander. Since he's never seen anyone other than a Lander hand out quests like giving candy to a baby before. "Excuse me, I heard that you were requesting for an investigation or something about fragments?" He asked the sage as the elderly looking figure turned its hooded head to Varis before the sage cracked a dry smile on its lips. "Why yes, see we've uncovered an artifact of knowledge before the Alvs. But i'm afraid the fragments have been lost due to it being buried for so long. If you would to be so kind as to fetch these fragments for us, it would be greatly appreciated." It was Varis's turn to be smiling now, only he was smiling softly this time. "Look I don't care what reason you have to be after these fragments, but if i'm supposed to be doing this then i'll need to know where i'm going to go get it. Otherwise you would have to get somebody else to do it." The smile on the figure's lips dropped as he hesitantly formed his words. "W-wait just a second now! No need to be so hasty yes? You'll need to search around Thames Coastline for the fragments, and you'll be able to find them by using this." The figure reached into the folds of its star dotted robes only to pull out some Divining Rods in its hands. Varis looked down at the rods for a moment before a sigh escaped from his lips before he placed the toothpick back into between his teeth. "Alright, if you say so." Then Varis would take the Dowsing Rods into his hands before putting them into his inventory before he turned his back to the sage. "Oh, and one more thing. Please don't sell it off to someone else. It would be troublesome at that point." The sage called out after him as Varis simply waved in a lazy motion to dismiss the information. "Yeah yeah, I hear ya." Speaking back to the sage as he walked away from the crowd.

Varis would only glance at Sayha at first, since he originally was just passing by he didn't have any intent of chatting with anyone else. However after hearing that she was speaking to him he stopped as he looked over his shoulders so that he could look at her. He kind of wanted to protest that he wasn't a newbie, but considering that he's probably the weakest one around here he decided that it was best not to say anything since he would just get burned for it. Still he was listening to what she was saying, and pretty much in his mind she was asking to aid him though he would get full credit as well as talking to the sage he kind of rose a brow at her. He wasn't going to pry into what happened, but he got the hint that she doesn't trust the sage. Which in truth he wouldn't blame her for he doesn't really trust them either. Since in just about a lot of other games events like this or quests where one has to go find something of an old civilization fragment generally ends in the hands of a villain which the hero(s) would have to go and wrench it out of the villain's hands. It could lead where if he completed this quest by handing the fragments to the Circle of Sages which could be a potential evil cult looking for other sources of power for their twisted deity. At least that's one of the other scenarios that is playing inside of his mind which is starting to get annoying to him. Though its more becoming of a habit of his when he's obtained new information.
After he had listened to her words quietly, and learned that her name was Sayha. He finally turns to where he was fully focusing his attention to her while he was reaching up to take the toothpick out from between his teeth. "Well that's fine with me, but I have my orders if you are going to be partying up with me Sayha." He held up just his index finger to indicate one. "Number one, don't die." Then he raised his bird finger to indicate the number two. "If your number is up, get out. Lastly, hide. If you're lucky, catch the enemy off guard and blast it." But then he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand as he slightly frowned at himself. "Wait, is that four?" Though his voice sounded a bit distant as if he was saying that to himself than anything else. Then he would offer a smile before he reached out with his free hand that doesn't have the toothpick. "Follow those lines and I think we would work just fine. Name's Varis by the way."

Sayha was back near where the Sages were. Thanks to a friend of Hiro, she was able to have the Fragment repaired without having to go see the creepy Artisan she had previously dealt with. He had been a Lander with a booth at St. Pancras Station down in the Londinium Railway. She had no problem going to someone else to help them… or rather Varis. It had been a friend of Hiro’s who helped them out. It was kind of nice not to have to rely solely on yourself, especially if you were able to get out of uncomfortable situations. After the fragment had been restored, both she and Varis made their way back to where the Sage’s camp was. Just out of sight of the Sages, Sayha stopped and turned to Varis. “I’ll wait out here for you,” she said, “I’ll still help you with the next stages of the quest, but like I said, I have no interest in dealing with the Sages at this moment.” She nodded for him to keep going on. Once he had made his way towards the Sages, Sayha relocated to a better position where she could see and hear the Varis and the Sage but still remain out of sight. She knew the next step would be the easier part. It was the stage after that worried her… and confused her at the same time. Sayha paused, passively touching her pocket, the memories of everything that had happened spinning in her mind.
Sayha took a deep breath and shook her head. Now wasn’t any time to think about that. She needed to focus on the present.

Varis was actually a bit surprised that Sayha knew someone who could fix this thing up to where it'll be legible at least to read for the Sages, considering that she hasn't done hers until now, which caused him to wonder if she was after some other motive for helping him. Taking note of how Sayha is keeping out of sight from the Sages and that she wasn't even talking to them also raised a few questions that he figured he would let go unanswered for now. 'What could she have seen that's made her so untrusting to the Sages?' He thought to himself as they were waiting for this find of Sayha's to finish up on the fragment. During that time he was kind of lost in his thoughts, often wondering how his friends were doing back in the real world. Probably just going about their daily lives as usual, however he can't help but picture one or two of his co workers that were looking for him perhaps. It would be a bit logical, since he practically disappeared from the real world and somehow got transported into this game where even death is not helpful to get out of here. Granted Varis hasn't died once yet, and he would like to keep it that way so he only had to go by what he has seen in the Cathedral.
"So if you don't mind me asking, by why is it that you're so neglecting on talking to the Sages? If they really were bad or anything the best way of really knowing is just going with the flow while not acting suspicious and such." Varis had asked her as they made their way back to Londinium once again after they got their fragments fixed by Sayha's contact. It was a question before he went to the Sages because he felt like it would be more beneficial if one was to blend in with the crowd and strike if things get bad because none of them would suspect a thing considering that there's over a dozen adventurers coming to the Circle of Sages that it'll be pretty hard to memorize everyone's faces. Not like the Sages can even see people's faces anyway with the hood in the way. But after hearing her saying that she was still helping him out after this part is done, he shrugged his shoulders and would leave his question unanswered as he went to the Sage with the fragment in his hand. "Yo Sage, I got that fragment piece you were looking for." Speaking up so that the sage could hear him as the robed figure turned around to greet him with that same expression that doesn't show much emotion behind it. Varis guessed the sage could see as Varis didn't held the fragment below the hood, probably because the fabric is see through or something as a grin spreads across the sage's lips. "Excellent... May I please see it for a moment?" Varis nods his head in agreement as he handed the fragment to the sage as his silent answer. The sage took the fragment out of Varis's hands where the sage reaches into the folds of its robes to bring out a tablet that was very similar to the fragment. After the sage pieced the fragment together with the tablet, a picture formed to reveal a distinctive looking fountain of some kind. Which the grin on the sage's face kind of dropped a bit. "Ah, now I see. It all makes sense now. This painting is representing the Ultima Thule, a temple of an ancient origin on the Isle of Thule." Then the sage looked up under the hood towards Varis that gave the samurai the vague hint that he was going to be the one to do some exploring. "If you would be so kind to do the Circle another favor. Could you please go into the Ultima Thule and seek whatever this tablet is indicating? Do mind that it is a treacherous place for its only been recently accessible due to the storms surrounding the island, but i'm sure you would be capable to withstand that." A silent sigh escaped from Varis's lips as it was exactly what he expected it would go, which could easily lead to where there's a guardian that he would have to face and such. So after nodding his head in agreement that he would go to this temple, he begins to make his way through the crowd to get away from the Sages and the other adventurers as he was sure that Sayha would be catching up to him.
