Malakath Grimm
Character Info
NAME: Lewis Goodchild
GENDER: Male
AGE: 20
SEXUALITY: heterosexual
FACE-CLAIM: Humanised Darkrai
PLAYED BY: Malakath Grimm
RACE: Elf
FACTION: Adventurer
Appearance Malakath is a 6'1" character, despite his tallness he is not well built for it, and whilst not unfit he could be described as lithe, the best explanation for his body type is he is muscular but to the extent of when he exhales you can see his rib cage. He set his body this way because he was being a warlock Heretic but also an elf. The interesting thing is that whilst he left the face of the charachter with some beautiful face accentuating tattoos, these being a few different sets like a U shaped tattoo connecting each tip of his thin lips and looping under his chin which carried on to a point halfway down his neck and a pair of straightline tattoos running down from the tips of his eyes. The arms and upper body were covered in tattoos which were placed there to show the self destructive nature of his class depicting ritual markings and old voodoo stencils he implemented from his graphics tablet.. Beneath the pair of glasses that seemed to follow him into the game he had a rather unique set of deep Crimson eyes.. Mostly though his eyes are quite almond shaped that being round but with a squint in the corners. Their hair generally does not change, pure white with it being mostly messy and short but at the back there is a long and messy ponytail that reaches all the way down to his coccix. In real life they wore very goth like but unassuming clothes, tended to avoid drawing attention as much as possible however in the game he preferred to dress as a role. For instance whilst his heretic is a low level he will wear a simple buttoned up black overcoat but it will slowly become something more sinister as time goes on. Favourite colour choices include black, grey, deep purple, red and green. Walking style is odd for him. Generally he walks around with purpose. Fast and quite heavy footfalls. However in the game he became timid. As almost as soon as he started he began hearing faint whispers on the wind. Started walking as if there was always something over his shoulder. Lurking in the dark. Stereotypically he fits the look of an evil mastermind or insane villain however he couldn't personally be any further apart, generally he is a kind of not arkward individual just looking to make friends. He dresses this way because of his usual life. He is mistreated and bullied in real life and so online he becomes an awe inspiring and fear mongerer by building merciless pop builds. However upon starting his journey into the game he quickly realised he wasn't to paraphrase in North Yorkshire anymore so although he doesn't change his look he becomes a different personality than that of his usual online self. | Personality Malakath is an introvert, an introvert who wants to be an extrovert however is too nervous to even attempt it. As far as learning goes. He has a lot of experience with MMORPGS and is pretty knowledgable on the entire system but as a result he just tends to ignore people when they are talking about using the system because he thinks he knows it all. But mostly he likes to read, study and test rather than find out later. He is mostly analytical about pretty much anything he doesnt feel strongly about however if there is something he cares about quite strongly he will without a doubt put his emotions into the mix. With regards to talking to others if he stays in character rather than being himself, he walks a very fine line. He speaks bluntly and directly, but in a way that doesn’t try to offend and upset others. But when deciding what to do tactically. Emotions become an issue unless fear is involved. Fear always makes people perform better or worse depending on the situation. He generally doesn’t like revealing exactly how he feels to others for fear of them mocking him again. But does make clear decisions, and sadly he is only human but tries to separate the right thing from the thing he feels is best as much as possible. However he is open to suggetions. It is odd for him since he has so much MMO experience and he is a background support and damage role he tends to be the team monitor. But can take different roles accordingly as long as people can put up with him. His view is that honesty is important but he can understand and forgive liars if it was for an overall good outcome. This is a strange topic for him because he recently felt that opening up about his real life was important in the game so that if he does forget he can have someone else share the burden. They generally follow the rule of trust based on their personality, and then if theyt are not good they are bad until proven good sort of deal. Issue is that noone can really tell here because appearances can be decieving. Large groups they tend to stay silent, preferring to listen than speak, only speaking when something needs saying. Their voice carries a certain tone to it that makes it sound somewhat important and direct. Tey speak more relaxed in small groups unless leading a party combat wise and it’s quite strange how quickly the transition is for most to witness. Because he doesn’t know anyone and his family is not in the game. He prioritises lovers over friends mostly, not that he has any, he hopes to and now his fantasy and real world has blended together he has a new sense of fulfilling his dream. Malakath despite seeing all of the change is still massively competetive. He will back down from a massively unfair fight but will never say never to a fair one. He plays to builds he creates and specs to mind perfectly and sticks to them to provide the best edge early on. As far as strengths and weaknesses go. He couldn’t put them simply into words as he sees them as an ever changing aether of things. He looks at his strengths and weaknesses in terms of combat as being weaker to light based attacks and his mentality is strained due to the corruption changing it. |

Miasma Corruption
Beginner Skill
Any being that comes in contact with the Miasma will become slowly corrupted in mind and body. Especially among the People of the Land, this condition is extremely serious and treated with extreme prejudice. Victims of Corruption may often be forced into solitary isolation until theyRECOVER from its effects. Stratford Wardens have been known to execute the most extreme cases for the sake of purity. Corruption reduces over time as characters avoid exposure to Miasma. Starting at three cycles since the last exposure, Corruption is reduced by 5 points each post cycle. The effects of this skill apply to all characters affected by Corruption, even if they are not a Heretic.
Corruption Stages:
Stage 0 - 1-10 points. Exposure to the Miasma, no matter how miniscle, is treated as a Stage 0 infection. At this level, however, the presence of Miasma is virtually indetectable through conventional means. No symptoms should normally occur from this level of infection, although animals and small children may act a little more irritable than usual.
Stage 1 - 10-30. The Miasma is beginning to root itself into one's being. Minor mental and physical symptoms such as headaches or fatigue occur.
Stage 2 - 31-50. At this stage, Miasma CorruptionBEGINS to show noticeable physical symptoms such as paleness in skin or cracked fingernails. Regardless, one may still bluff, attributing their condition to other natural causes. The victim suffers stronger lasting mental symptoms.
Stage 3 - 51-75. Hallucinations, delusions, paranoia become commonplace. Physical symptoms include wrinkling of skin, clouded eyes. Affected targets have their Mind debuff resistance decreased by 1 stage. Stage 3 is where Corruption starts to become infectious. Characters at Corruption Stage 3 or higher cause nearby characters' Corruption to increase by 1 each post cycle.
Stage 4 - 76-100. Distinct personality changes and mental instability plague the minds of these subjects. Affected individuals either look weak and decrepid or threatening and zombielike. By this level, Stratford Wardens mayEXERCISE individual command in capturing affected subjects. Stage 4 subjects have their Light debuff resistance decreased by 1 stage.
Stage 5 - 101+. The ultimate stage of Corruption. Weak-willed victims lose their minds so long as they are exposed. Extreme personality changes and schiophrenia set in, causing the subject to become a danger to themselves and their surroundings. Moreover, Stage 5 subjects have physically mutated to the point where they only appear vaguely human. Guards are ordered toEXERCISE strict detainment and even lethal force if resisted.
Painful Potency
Beginner Skill
Passive. The presence of Miasma looming around the Heretic's body acts somewhat like a magnet to any Psyche energy in the atmosphere, causing mana to diffuse lower toward the ground. This obviously increases the magical potency of the Heretic's party, without any noticeable side effects. All magical damage for the party is increased by 5%. Multiple instances of this skill do not stack.
Biography
Malakath before the game was Lewis Goodchild. And safe to say he was a good kid really. Problem for him was that he was mercilessly bullied and everyone mocked him, whether it was for his glasses or his goofy look, him being tall but skinny and disliking P.E. Even after school and he got good grades he still held on to that hatred of people. Suffering from anxiety and depression, both of those disappeared when he stepped into the virtual world as he became accustomed to becoming the one to be both feared and admired within it.
Making powerful builds for PvE and PvP and earning the admiration of many and the fear of his enemies he was always the evil overlord of the PvP servers. Reaching the top leaderboards and destroying opponents slowly taking his time with them, even letting himself get hit to near death only to come and destroy his enemy with 10% health left. Or clearing 20 man raids solo through kiting and destroying all the creeps with heavy AoE then using teleport and timing for activating levers and the like. He became a prodigy of the MMO genre and even got virtual interviews over the game for the website. Alas his original MO server closed down at last and he moved on to greener pastures, starting this one he tried to fill the hole that the previous one filled in his psyche and self esteem and went into the game, only he went a little too far into it.

Tainted Charity:
Tier I Skill
Miasma and Anima are two sides of the same coin
and so it is no surprise that Miasma can be used to restore the body. This skill heals the target by a small amount. Its animation is fairly deceptive, looking very similarly to the Heal skill. If a target who received healing from Tainted Charity is not healed again by Tainted Charity within 2 minutes, all HP restored by the skill is immediately removed. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown. Tainted Charity inflicts 2 points of Corruption on the target.

Roleplay Class: Scholar
Skill Name: Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface.
Crafting Class: Scribe
Skill Name: Transcription: Scribes are known for their ability to copy and examine documents carefully. This allows them to obtain the Adventurer skill [Mythic Script] as a Beginner-level skill without it taking up a skill SLOT. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. If the character can already use grimoires through racial or class bonuses, grimoire damage increases by 10%.
