‘Huston, I’m not in Kansas anymore,’ Kynn thought to herself as she looked around. Last she checked, she had finished adding “Elder Tales: Unfounded Kingdom” to her computer and finished making her character. Then, she blacked out… and not a falling on your face black out. Like a black out, black out when you don’t remember anything. At that point, Kynn was standing in the center of some city square that looked absolutely nothing like anything she had ever seen before; not even from the movies. The buildings around looked like a car had flown through them and someone had planted a garden on the walls. The sky above was bluer than blue, so unlike the sky where she lived. The clouds also looked fluffier and brighter too.
She turned looking around to see other people standing around in a shock as if they’re favorite colored shirt had been bleached. Kynn decided to walk around to see if she could find her brother… maybe he had mysteriously appeared here too.
Then, she faceplanted onto the street. Kynn tried again, standing up and taking a few steps. But then she faceplanted again. “What in all of blueberries is going on?” she asked, standing up again. Then she looked in a window to see a reflection. “Hey, that’s my avatar,” she said, moving a bit. The reflection moved with her. Curious, she moved again, and the reflection moved again. Then she looked down at herself and exclaimed. She had become her avatar. “Wait… does that mean I’m not short anymore?”
While looking at her reflection, Kynn did some stretches that she did when she was getting ready to play her sports. Once she felt stretched out enough, she began to walk again. This time, she didn’t face plant.
“Jordan!” Kynn called out, walking through the streets, “Jordan, I don’t like this game of Hide and Fetch.” After a while of not finding him, she gave up looking. Maybe he really was at work after all. It wasn’t very nice of him, leaving her alone to play a game she hadn’t played before. If he would have told her she would have been transported into the game so she wouldn’t get distracted, she would have worn more comfortable clothes. Of course being brought into a game would explain why her brother took a while to respond to her.
“So if my body is at my computer, does that mean I’m actually my mind and can’t hurt myself?” Kynn then took a small rock and hit herself with out. “Oww!” she dropped the rock and rubbed where she had it. So is that what happened to people who got headaches from sitting at the computer too long?
After a moment, her interface randomly appeared in front of her, and it showed all her information. “Well that’s kinda neat,” she said. Then she noticed the “Log Off” button. When she pressed it, it turned red, not letting her log out. “Does that mean I have to find a weird circle box to save the game first?” Kynn questioned, “Oh well, I’ll find that later.”

Kynn walked around the city for a while, just enjoying the experience. Though she was rather confused why everyone else around her was freaking out. They were all freaking out about not being able to log out and having things to do. “Does that mean no one else had found the save point?” Kynn wondered to herself just as she ran into a light pole. “Who built a pole in front of me?” Kynn groaned, falling backwards on her butt. She rubbed her head where it had hit the light pole, “I’m going to have a really bad headache when I get out of here… hopefully Jordan doesn’t worry too much.”
Kynn groaned, standing back up again. She turned and started walking again, “This time I’ll keep my eyes open.” After a moment, she ended up at another glass window where she could see her reflection. “You know, I kinda wish I looked like this in real life… but if I did, would that mean I would turn into a main character in one of those anime shows?”
Out of curiosity, she gently poked the glass. A crack formed where she poked the glass. “What?” Kynn poked the crack. The glass suddenly shattered. Kynn covered her eyes to protect them. Once she heard the glass stop, she looked around and blinked. “Who did that?” she looked around to see a bunch of people suddenly staring at her. She laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her head with her hand. She turned to walk way when she walked into yet another light pole.
Once she rebounded from destroying the glass and walking into the second pole, she made her way to a quiet part of town where there really wasn’t anyone. She decided to take a break and sit town on a bench. She sighed, looking up at the sky. She had lost track of time, but she didn’t know how much time had actually passed yet. She would need to find a way out soon or else her brother would scold her for not doing her homework.
Out of curiosity, she opened her interface screen again and pressed the “Log Off” button. It blinked red again then went to normal. “I wonder if there’s a show me how to tutorial guide on here,” Kynn clicked a few buttons which ended up with a bunch of windows suddenly in front of her. She groaned, trying to close all the windows.
“Well, I guess Jordan’s just gonna have to wait for me.”
