Sayha and Hiro had followed the tracks of the Hypno-Thanos from the Windsor Greatwood into Sarum Frontier. In Sarum Frontier, they had encountered more monsters than they had in the Greatwood, and they had guessed because there weren’t as many adventurers clearing out the region. Sayha had made a mental note to come back to Sarum at another time to help exterminate some of the monsters there that were her level or close to. Just as she had done in Greatwood, she “tagged” a monster with <Eagle Track> but that ended up taking them all over Sarum. Eventually they decided to move onto Avon Valley where they both believed the cause to be. They had heard of a castle that had become infested in the area, and that was their end goal.
Sayha learned that the castle was located closer to the River Avon or in that region so the two set out for there.
“You know,” Sayha said to Hiro as they were making their way through the area, “Have you ever heard about an event where monsters go through various regions before? I’ve played games where there are like mini events ongoing and they change depending on where you are, but this is a first for me.”
The wind blew very hard at that moment, and Sayha pulled her coat around her tighter. The last time she had been in the region was when the two of them went to the Purple Mirror Mansion to see the Trickster, but that felt like a while ago. Other than that, she really didn’t know where she was going.
“Hiro, have you been to this area before?” Sayha asked, “I know that the castle we’re headed to is close to River Avon, but I don’t know much other than that. Only time I was here was when we went here together for that quest.”

[attr="class","capsol"] After having traversed Sarum for what felt like days, the two had finally come to Avon. The land itself felt dark, and Hiro didn't much care for the region, though he had been here a while back, on various scouting missions and for the trains he had been trying to get running, at that time. He recalled running into Stryke, whom he had recruited into the guild at the time, while the guy was trying to fight some monsters. He had been in a bit over his head, and Hiro jumped in and helped out as fast as he could/ The monsters in the area were less than pleasant to people, though with the current iteration of Halloween monsters, the sentiment might be better carried over, thanks to them being fairly hostile in the upper levels as they had been beforehand. The romp through Sarum had left a sour taste in the Monk's mouth about the whole thing, though he had calmed down a bit since then. He turned to look at Sayha, when she had asked him about the event that had been transpiring. He looked ahead again, an emotionally neutral look on his face. "Dunno." He said, curtly.
"This world's changed so much, thanks to the Catastrophe, so it's easy to assume that even the monsters around here don't play by the game's rules anymore." This was when the wind picked up a bit, sending a chill all across his body. He noticed that Sayha had drawn her cloak tighter around himself, to which he smiled softly. He was about to offer a jacket or something to keep her warmer, but she had asked him about his time spent here in Avon. He recalled the quest that she was mentioning, since it was the Celestial Arms stuff that they had been dealing with at the time. He answered her question after a few moments of silence, the wind being the only noise they could hear. "Yeah, I've been here on a few occasions before." Hiro stated. "Not my favorite place to be, especially because of how dark this whole place feels, but I've had to come here before for other reasons. One of which was for a failed train project, a long time ago now." He laughed a little. "It was during that time that I'd met a friend of mine, Stryke, running from some shadow wolves in the nearby area. Poor guy would've been dead, if I wasn't there."
While he was reminiscing, he remembered the wolves and all the other monsters. Their levels outclassed Sayha's, and those were the normal mobs for the area. His expression turned a bit more stern, as he turned to her. "Sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask that I take over for the leader thing again. The normal monsters here aren't too friendly, nor are they weak." He turned ahead, keeping up the pace. The wind blew again, chilling them some more. This place was cold, in temperature and in spirit. "The normal monsters around here would be anywhere between 30 and 40 in levels, and, as that's the case, I'll be using my fists. I can't risk having you get hurt here." Hiro fell silent, as his mind shifted back to a few more of the occasions that he had been here for. None of which were necessarily pleasant, nor were they all that enjoyable. He hated this place. It wreaked of just plain out evil, in his mind, and the castle that they would soon be approaching might not be that much different. He shifted back to the here and now, though, and turned to Sayha again. With her cloak so tightly around her, he couldn't help but smile a little. "If you want, I have another cloak, if you're cold." Hiro offered. He wouldn't get it out, unless she wanted it. He was fine as he was, since he was used to the cold in this world by now. As they walked along, he would wait for her reply.

Hiro wasn’t happy about their escapade through Sarum at all; Sayha actually thought he was more perturbed than she was. He explained that the world changed a lot since the Catastrophe which was true. He went on to say that he had only been to Avon a few times, and there seemed to be a lingering darkness that covered the valley. Sayha hadn’t been surprised when Hiro asked to take over as party leader since they were there. “Sounds like a plan to me,” Sayha said, “Though I am level 30 now. I can help with the lower-leveled mobs, but I’ll make sure not to get in the way for the other ones. Though if you do want me out of combat completely, that’s your call. I will make the suggestion though of finding some Landers nearby so we don’t go wandering like we did in Sarum.”
Sayha was already cold thought it felt more like freezing. She was not made to handle the cold, but she hadn’t planned on telling Hiro that. She figured as long as they kept moving she would be fine. Though just as Sayha was thinking that, Hiro turned and offered her to use a cloak if she was cold. Then she realized that Hiro was not wearing one. She felt colder just thinking about it.
“I’ll be fine,” Sayha said, pulling her coat around her tighter, “I’ve never been very adaptable with the cold, but I might as well get used to it. I have a feeling I’ll be hunting in this region more often pretty soon.” Sayha already suddenly felt like a hindrance since she had a good feeling Hiro would bar her from combat, but she tried to not let it show… though it probably did.
“Let’s just get this hunt done and get back to Londinium,” Sayha sighed, trying to refocus her thoughts, “Hopefully the castle is easy to get to.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was reminded of the situation with Stryke, as the wind had blown across the field once more. It was somewhat similar to how it is now, though he knew that Stryke was, at the time, a higher level than even Sayha was right now. He was reminded that the girl was now 30, which he was glad for, but at the time, he believed Stryke to be at least 35, or maybe even somewhere near 40. Just thinking about it made him worry all that much more, since he didn't want anything bad to happen to the Assassin. However, he had quelled his mind a little bit by remembering that he was there, too. Hiro was level 90, and he had already shown Sayha that he can do some decent tanking. It also helped to keep in mind that Sayha was a rather typical Assassin, in which he meant that she was good at sticking to shadows, and hanging back, waiting for a good moment to strike. This had been proven earlier on in the day, back in Windsor, that she knew how to stay out of sight, and damage immensely all of a sudden. So, he could be a little less worried about the person he was currently traveling with.
To be perfectly frank, he would prefer it if Sayha fought. The added damage would be absolutely necessary to dispatching some rather difficult mobs. That being the case, he wouldn't try and keep Sayha from combat, because of how useful she could be. That, and he still had a few healing tablets with him, so if she had gotten badly injured, then he could help heal her up a decent amount. However, that was about as far as he could reasonably go. Anything beyond there, if he had run out of healing items, he would tell her not to fight anything from there on, to save her the trouble from possible death. He would not allow one of his own to go down in a place like this. At least, as far as he could stop it.
He shrugged a little, and closed his inventory. "Suit yourself." Hiro said, in response to her answer about the cloak he offered. He did notice a little bit of self-doubt appear on her face, though, which was likely a common occurrence for anybody in this kind of a situation. She was a level 30 Adventurer, in an area where the monsters were usually level 30, being accompanied by a level 90 Adventurer, who could rather easily dispatch the mobs in the area. He looked ahead for a moment, and thought about it some more. He wondered what he could do to raise her spirits up a bit more, but couldn't think of much. Instead, he did what he thought was the best move. Placing a hand on Sayha's shoulder, he smiled. "I'll be asking you to do a bit of Assassinating while we're in the castle. You up for that, partner?" He removed his hand after a moment, still smiling. His smile soon disappeared, as he looked ahead.
He noticed that, not too far from them, was the castle in question. His expression turned stern very quickly afterwards. It did not look welcoming at all. In fact, it looked like something out of a Castlevania game, with a high tower at the end of it. There didn't appear to be any lights on inside, though that only made him think there was something inside even more. The presence of the Halloween Monsters around the server seemed to be rather high, and he wasn't very much a fan of that fact. Especially since there were much higher leveled monsters in the areas prior to this, going up to 50 in a level 1-20 zone. The Adventurers there would have been crushed and destroyed if those monsters weren't taken care of quite as quickly. However, that was then, and this was now. He hoped that the monsters up ahead would be easier to defeat than the ones they'd had to face beforehand. With that thought in his mind, he pressed on.

Hiro shrugged when she gave her reply. Though it seemed that Hiro saw how she had felt and asked her to do a bit of Assassinating while in the castle, and he asked if she would be up for it. “You do realize that I don’t know that skill yet, right?” Sayha asked, “As for sneak attacks, I will do my best. I do have <Hiding Entry> as well as <Silent Move> so I can at least get behind any monsters we encounter.” At that point, Hiro seemed to see something, and she looked at where he was. It was the silhouette of an old-style Victorian castle. As they got closer, it became more apparent that there was just something inherently wrong with the castle. Not physically but… maybe aura-ly if that was a word. Around the outside of the castle, Sayha began to see the silhouettes of monsters. After looking at them more closely, she began to be able to make out the monsters. There looked to be about 3 out front almost acting as guards. That unsettled Sayha quite a bit. On top of that, it looked like two of the monsters were Draco Zombies like they had encountered back in the Greatwoods. The other one was a monster they hadn’t encountered before or at least she didn’t recognize the silhouette at the time. Unforunately, they were too far away for her interface to actually pick up their levels.
There was something else that felt off. Were they being watched? Sayha couldn’t see any Landers or Adventurers around, but she couldn’t shake the feeling. In the end, she just concluded it was the combination of her worrying about the castle and the cold. After all, it was way too cold for Sayha.
“Looks like we have company before we even get inside,” Sayha said, “What’s the plan, Hiro?” Sayha glanced at Hiro, waiting to hear what his plan was.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro knew that Sayha didn't have the specific skill Assassinate, though he meant it more in a manner of what they were likely going to do at some point. He would do the tanking thing, and she would do the damage things. However, as they had gotten a bit closer, Hiro did begin to notice that there were, indeed, monsters guarding the entrance. Two of them were Draco Zombies, like they had fought before, but he knew that their lowest possible level would be a bit too much for the Assassin to handle. The one in the middle, though, he couldn't tell what they were. At least, not from here. He would need to get a bit closer, before he would be able to tell. But, for now, he looked at the creatures up ahead, and glared. Sayha had asked what Hiro's plan was, and he responded quickly. "I dunno." He held his fists out to the sides, and the ignited on flames quickly. He had started to use Hellfire Drive, as his body had engulfed into flames thereafter. "Same stuff as always?" He suggested, as his body launched forward towards the monsters in question.
They were still a ways off, but thanks to the speed boost from Hellfire Drive, he was able to get there fairly quickly. He saw all three monsters clearly, and took note of their levels. The Draco Zombies were both level 40's, and the one in the middle, a level 25 Ghostrider. He would focus on the dragons for now, before they could call in any reinforcements. Hiro launched his fist up and into the first dragon on the left, using Dragon Rising Uppercut. The sudden attack caused it to drop a lot of its HP suddenly, as well as decrease its resistance to physical damage down to normal. He planted his fists into its body a few more times, initiating something like a beat rush, and was able to end it rather quickly from there. He turned his attention to the other Draco Zombie, and brought his leg around in a wide roundhouse kick. A yellow beam of light had appeared, using Warp Fang, and began to launch itself into the dragon. From there, Hiro had disappeared from sight, only to be seen a few meters above the monster, hovering in air for a second. After his suspended animation, he began to fall down toward the monster powerfully.
The projectile that had been formed from his leg crashed into the monster, which was followed quickly up by an impressively powerful dropkick. He vaulted himself up and off the monster, and quickly slammed his fist into it a few times as he flipped. He landed on the ground just nearby, and some clones of himself began to appear, as he used Incarnated Assault. The clones of himself all rushed forward, and planted their fists into the monster's body, as Hiro did the same. The monster behind him had already exploded, but thanks to Warp Fang, he was able to dodge the attack. Now that the other Draco Zombie had been killed and removed from the fight, he needed to move quickly. With Hellfire Drive still going, and his aggro very obviously on the Ghostrider, he dashed back a good distance from the bridge, with the last monster following him from there. The second monster exploded, as Hiro started to turtle up. He would let Sayha do the honors of killing the last monster, since it wouldn't be too powerful for her to deal with. With that in mind, the Monk brought his arms up to defend himself, toggled off Hellfire Drive, and waited for Sayha to blast this monster into oblivion. Thankfully, this one wouldn't make any noise, so they shouldn't alert any more monsters nearby of their presence. Hopefully.

When Hiro suggested that they just do what they always did while he lighted himself on fire, Sayha rolled her eyes. She drew her weapons, holding them backwards while activating <Death Stinger> and <Hiding Entry>. Sayha watched Hiro as he dashed ahead first, and Sayha followed after him. She opted for speed over stealth so she was going faster than she normally would. That, however, was still very slow compared to Hiro’s speed. She watched as Hiro attacked the first Draco Zombie. She could now see that both Draco Zombies were level 40, and that meant they had no chance against him. That was proved rather quickly as the first one exploded in bubbles almost immediately.
By that time, Sayha was able to tell the monster she hadn’t been able to identify was called a Ghostrider, and it was level 25. She decided that would be the focus of her attacks. Hiro had already started attacking the second Draco Zombie when she ran past him which meant he would probably dispatch of it soon.
Once Sayha was within range, she flipped the swords in her hand so that they were in the correct position and readied her attack, “<Quick Draw>.” Sayha’s <Hiding Entry> faded as she dashed forward, hitting the Ghostrider. It didn’t do a whole lot of damage, but it did enough… plus it was now poisoned. “<Sword Rain Flurry>,” Sayha stabbed her swords forward quickly and then readied her final attack, “<Deadly Dance>.” She slashed her swords forward in an X pattern.
Sayha jumped back, and watched as the monster’s health drained to 0 thanks to her poisons. Once it did hit 0, it exploded into bubbles. She turned around to see Hiro deactivate the fire that covered him. His fight was done as well.
Sayha turned back and faced the castle. Now that she was closer to the castle, she could see that parts of it had caved in and that the front door was non-existent. Instead, there was a huge gaping hole that looked pretty rough. Compared to the other wearing on the castle, the hole looked relatively new. Had it been caused by the monsters in the area? Sayha wasn’t sure, but she had a very bad feeling. She kept her weapons drawn but flipped them so they were backwards. She instantly wanted to check out the castle, but she knew that it could possibly be suicide. Plus, Hiro was in charge. She had to wait for his verdict on the situation.

[attr="class","capsol"] As Sayha had finished up with the monster at hand, he also turned to the castle. It was a very old, Victorian era-looking castle. Hell, it looks more like a haunted mansion, more than a castle, though he didn't exactly know why such a thing was built out in the middle of nowhere. It looked somewhat familiar, too, as if he had seen something like it a while back. He couldn't put his finger on it, but it still felt eerily familiar. He looked down at the door, and noticed that there wasn't much of a door to speak of. More like a giant, gaping hole in the wall, where a door could have been, if one was lucky enough to have found one there. The darkened sky, the feeling of death in the air, all of it just didn't feel right to him. There was something much more sinister going on here, that he couldn't really explain. It just felt like, with a combination of both the area being as dark and deathly as it was, along with this creepy old castle, it just seemed both out of place, yet characteristic. A clap of thunder off in the distance made him snap back to reality quickly, as he blinked a few times.
He turned to look at Sayha, and spoke. "Well, we might as well start moving." Hiro said, taking a few slow steps toward the building. He was honestly a little spooked. He never really did well with the whole scary houses or haunted mansion types of things, though he never really thought about them all that much. Perhaps it was just the scenario that was treacherous, not so much the idea of the castle. Then again, he wasn't sure why he was worried at all. The concept of being in this place wasn't daunting or scary, since he was just an avatar on a screen somewhere at the moment. Maybe it was the fact that this world has been his home for so long now, that everything's seemed to blend together in his mind. That, even though this is a fake world, the situations in it are still quite real to him. He shook his head a little bit, trying to keep his mind on track. "If you get scared," Hiro began, looking teasingly over to Sayha. "Feel free to hide behind me." He threw a wink her way, hopefully giving off the joking nature of the remark, and started to move at a normal pace toward the building. His fear was still there, but there wasn't much he could do about it for now.
He began to take a step into the building, just as a small drop of rain his the top of his head. He started to look around a little bit, making sure that there weren't any monsters in the immediate area. He looked back to Sayha, shrugging, and took another step inside. He didn't want to just call out to the nothingness, as that would have alerted a monster or two along the way. He took a few more steps inside, as a clash of lightning brightened up the entire house. The loud clap of thunder that followed sent a chill up the Monk's spine, and continued to do so, as the candles in the hallway began to light up mysteriously. His eyes widened up a little bit at the sight of it, and he had grown a bit more pale as a response. He figured one of two things at this exact moment. One, Sayha was just as confused and spooked as he was. Two, she was totally fine, and would likely call him a chicken anytime soon. However, given that the whole thing happened in just about a second's time, he figured he would have some kind of a grace period with it all. Hiro began to take a few more steps inside, noticing a door barely shut just on their right. He made sure to move quietly, so as to not entice the aggro of monsters immediately. He stopped a little ways from the door, and somehow regained his dignity long enough to get into a fighting stance. As he walked closer to the door, he began to open it up, a creaking sound being heard from the hinges. He stepped in front of the door, and made sure there were no monsters inside. Once he did, he started to walk in.

Song
Sayha suddenly heard thunder in the distance which caused her to look around. It seemed it would rain or snow soon, and the wind picked up as well. Sayha wanted to curse the weather, but Hiro telling her that they should start moving interrupted her. She begrudgingly nodded and followed behind him. The castle hopefully would at least keep the wind out. When it came to haunted castles, they honestly didn’t bother Sayha very much. She had pretty thick skin when it came to creepy houses, mansions, or castles, but she could tell when something was off about a place. However, she was usually not very perceptive when it came to figuring out those things. It was a good thing Hiro was around.
Just outside the gaping hole, Hiro turned to Sayha telling her if she was scared she could hide behind him. He winked which made her smirk and scoff slightly under her breath. After, he walked inside the castle, and Sayha followed behind. Neither of the two could see any nearby monsters so they were okay for the time being. The hallway was rather dark until a clash of thunder and lightning temporarily lit everything up. Right after, candles along the walls of the hallway. She saw Hiro pale slightly. He was not doing very well in the castle. Under normal circumstances, she would have called him out on how he was acting, but she felt like someone was watching them. It disturbed her greatly, but she did her best to not show it.
Hiro began to walk forward, and Sayha followed behind, sheathing her blades. They would probably be in the way for the time being, but she made sure that she could easily get to them if she needed to. On their right side, Hiro had noticed a door that was slightly open and began to open it. The creaking sound seemed to echo throughout the entire castle, and Sayha activated <Hearing Aptitude> to make sure she would know of any incoming monsters.
Hiro stepped into the room, and she didn’t hear any monsters attacking so Sayha followed him in. Then, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.
The room looked kind of trashed, and it looked like it was done fairly recent considering how much dust was over everything. In one corner was a table that was splintered right through the middle. Tomes, parchment paper, ink, and quills were scattered and spilled all over the room. However, that wasn’t the part that bothered her the most. Across the walls, there was writing in mana which she could read using her <Mythic Script> ability. They were lyrics to a song she remembered hearing on the other side. The song was a Russian lullaby which sounded nothing like a lullaby to her. It was the song “Tili Tili Bom.”
“Someone,” Sayha said, “a human, was here. It was probably an adventurer. Along the walls in mana, they wrote out the lyrics to a song ‘Tili Tili Bom.’ It’s a rather creepy song.” Sayha walked over to one of the tomes on the ground and picked it up. She flipped through a few pages trying to figure out what was going on. However, the words in the book she had picked up she recognized as Edgar Allen Poe poems.
As Sayha sat the tome down, she heard movement. It seemed to be a bit away, and she couldn’t even tell what it was.
“We may have company soon,” Sayha whispered, putting her hands on the handles of her katanas. She then moved off to the side of the wall behind the door.

[attr="class","capsol"] The room itself was torn up and ripped to shreds, so to speak. It looked like a warzone of sorts. Pages and books, scattered all throughout the room, with tables and chairs being just as broken as can be. The whole place seemed to be very decrepit, and looked as though all the damage was done only recently. Along with the monsters that were nearby, perhaps the fact that this place was until recently uninhabited was enough of a reason for Hiro to think something was definitely off. As Sayha looked over the room, Hiro went further inside it. The room was dark, destroyed, and the rain had begun to fall outside. There was one window that faced outside, revealing the drizzle that was just starting outside. The thunder clapped again, as lightning in the distance flashed. This place gave him the creeps, for sure. It wasn't all that much longer, though, that Sayha had managed to find something on the walls, that he couldn't see. Something about a song. From what he could tell, it was a song from the other world. So, he had every right to believe the Assassin when she had mentioned that it was likely another adventurer in this place.
As the Assassin had begun to flip through one of the books on the ground, Hiro continued to look around. There were paintings on the wall, but they didn't look... Normal. The paintings seemed to be of an old family, as though it were in the mid-to-late 1800's. They were all slashed up in some ways, except for one figure. A small girl was always kept in pristine condition. She had long, black hair that stretched far down to the base of her torso. Everybody else in the picture, including what seemed to be a sibling of some sort, as well as parents, but all of them had been ravenously maimed in some way. The girl was always kept in perfect condition, though, which very clearly made it look like it was on purpose, even more so than normal. The other people in the images were all maimed, but they were still kept in the images, as though signifying that they still existed in some way. While this was both very creepy and obviously a horrible form of vandalism, he couldn't help but feel like there was some kind of pedophilia-type context behind it all. Of course, he was probably wrong, and that this was just to add flavor to the creepiness of the castle. He still shuddered, though.
He heard the noise that Sayha had mentioned, and his eyes darted over to the door. He started to walk over in that direction, slowly, without trying to make too much noise. Whatever was moving just a little ways from them, he needed to make sure that they weren't going to aggro onto the two of them immediately. Walking over a little ways, toward the door, he saw the shadow of what looked to be a person, walking through the halls. Hiro motioned over to the Assassin nearby, keeping his eye on the person as they moved. They seemed to be moving rather weirdly, as though they were in some kind of a trance. Hiro figured that Sayha could also see how they were moving, and why he was worried. This just didn't seem normal. The shadow moved down to the end of the hall, and went into one of the doors. Leaning out a bit to watch them go in, Hiro caught a glimpse of some kind of robe, just before the figure vanished. He turned back to Sayha, and spoke. "We should go investigate that, as if I even need to say it." He looked back in the hallway again, and looked down it. There didn't seem to be any monsters for the moment, but he was still cautious. "Let's go." He said, quietly, as he started to slowly, quietly, walk out and into the hallway, heading for the door at the end.

After Sayha had moved behind the door, Hiro went to the door to look at what was going on. After a brief moment, he motioned her over to look, and she did. When she looked out the door, she saw a figure she wasn’t expecting to see. It was a girl, or at least a shadow of a girl. If Sayha had to guess, the girl was probably somewhere between 10 and 13 years old. The shadow moved… oddly. It was swaying back and forth, out of sync of a shadow of someone just moving. Were they hypnotized or sleepwalking? Whatever was going on with the girl, Hiro was visibly concerned. Sayha activated <Eagle Track> and tried to target the shadow. By some miracle, it worked because Sayha was able to catch a small glimpse of her robe. Hiro stated the obvious, which he had admitted, that they should investigate it. Sayha nodded, and Hiro began to move down the hallway. She followed behind him, whispering to him quietly, “I’ll be here, but I’m going stealth just in case. I’ll be right behind you.” Sayha then activated <Hiding Entry> and <Silent Move> making her practically invisible.
The two of them followed the girl down the hallway… or rather hallways. It was like they were zig zagging through all the hallways, and the girl never once turned to notice them… or rather Hiro following them. Though, Sayha looked at the time <Hiding Entry> was on. It had already been almost 4 minutes so she knew her stealth wouldn’t last too much longer, but it hopefully would last long enough for them to get to end of the path.
What bothered Sayha the most was that she didn’t hear anything other than the girl’s footsteps and the storm outside. She still had <Hearing Aptitude> on so she would have been able to hear something… then she suddenly did. She could hear creepy giggling and got louder the more they walked.
Eventually the girl came upon to large wooden doors that were open. The two of them could see the figure of the girl, and she walked through the doors. As soon as she did, a gust of wind came out of the door. And, due to the distance, Sayha could tell that the giggling was coming in the room. She assumed Hiro could hear it as well thanks to how loud it was. However, she also heard other noises from coming from inside the room. Growls and snarls… were there monsters inside?
Sayha whispered to Hiro, “I don’t like it. I can hear both giggling and monsters inside… what do you want to do now?”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro nodded as Sayha had vanished from sight, turning to look ahead. He knew that whatever that shadow was, it had to have been up to no good. He didn't like the idea of following an apparition of any sort, especially since they didn't even know if this being was real or not, but they had nothing else to go off of for the moment. He squinted a bit at it, as he began to walk up to the door at the end of the hall. It was left wide open, and it looked like the shadowy figure continued to move along, as though nothing else were going on around them. They seemed to have been ignoring basically everything else in the world, and continued to move in their creepy, side-to-side movement style. As he continued to follow them from a safe distance, he still noted how strangely they moved, and what it was that they could have possibly been doing here. Hiro couldn't exactly tell who or what this image was, but he knew that they were not likely a very friendly entity, since they were, in fact, in a creepy old Victorian castle. Halloween plots 101: Castles are the best places to be haunted.
What ended up being a little trek behind the shadowy figure turned into a long hike throughout the entire place. First floor, second floor, even the third floor. Every wing of the building, and yet no monsters appeared at all to surprise them. It was definitely strange, and Hiro didn't very much care for the thought of he and Sayha being the only two possible humans at this current time, save for the possibility of the shadow being a human of some sort, as well. He wasn't going to jump to any conclusions, since he didn't know what exactly was before them. Well, until the faint sound of giggling could be heard from a doorway along the hall. His eyes squinted a bit, as the giggling had been accompanied by the sound of a monster, snarling. Sayha had whispered to the Monk, to which he nodded. He didn't like the sound of it all, with the giggling and the growling. Keeping his voice low, he spoke. "Stay here for now, I'm gonna go check it out, okay?" Without waiting for a response, the Monk moved forward a little ways, and leaned up against the wall. He tilted his head in a bit, trying to keep his entire body from being seen, and just wanted to get a quick glimpse inside.
The giggling stopped, and the snarling ended. Nothing could be heard, as Hiro looked around the empty room. He didn't want to motion for Sayha to come in quite yet, since he wanted to make sure everything was okay. Upon taking a few more steps out into the open, he looked around the room even more. A blast of wind had occurred not a minute before, but it seemed like everything stopped for the moment. Cautiously, Hiro began to take a few more steps into the room. Upon entering it entirely, he looked all around. It was an empty room, with some windows on the other side, looking out over the river nearby. He didn't see a single person from there, nor could he see anything that would signify human interaction. His confusion having peaked here, what happened next...
"Milady, I do believe we have a few visitors." A semi-masculine voice spoke from nowhere. Hiro jolted a bit and turned all around, looking for the source.
"It appears we do, my dear." A feminine voice responded. "Perhaps we should... Welcome them."
Upon that line having been said, a claw of darkness appeared and swiped Hiro before he had a chance to react. He let out a shout, as the massive manifestation of a hand grabbed him and slammed him into the nearby wall. The room suddenly began to shift and change into what looked to be a throne room of sorts, with two figures standing in the room. One appeared to be a man, clad in a priest's gown and garb, and the other was a woman, covered head to toe in a long, black dress. Her face was covered by a veil, but the man, Hiro could clearly see the face. They guy looked to be a late-teen, blonde-haired priest, though his voice didn't seem to fit quite well. The two of them had interfaces appear before themselves: The woman was a Level 35 Heretic, and the man was a level 18 Cleric/Priest. Their names weren't visible, as they had somehow managed to hide them. One other important note to make about the Heretic, though, was her corruption level. She was at Stage 4 Corruption. The Priest turned to the opened door, and spoke aloud. "Please do bring in our other guest." He asked.
Unbeknownst to Hiro, a Warden had appeared behind Sayha, holding up a gun to her. The Warden's level was 60, so her fighting back with them would likely end in trouble. The Warden looked to be a 14-year-old girl, with long, black hair. Their face was pale and devoid of color, and they spoke no words.

After Sayha spoke to Hiro, he turned to her and told her to stay there as he was going to check out the room first. She spoke nothing, but she didn’t like it. However, it was the best option for that point in time. After Hiro went into the room, Sayha heard both the giggling and snarling stop… but began to hear other footsteps behind her. And clanking, like plate mail. The sound hadn’t been there before. Sayha turned to see a Warden… pointing a gun at her head even though she was still in stealth… or she had been. Somehow, her stealth had disappeared without alerting her.
The Warden was level 60. Sayha stood no chance against her in a fight. The Warden was also a girl… probably close to her mid-teens. Her hair was pitch black, and her skin was extremely pale. Her eyes… her eyes were glossed over. It wasn’t like she was blind like the Elder she had bet was… it was different. Maybe that’s what it looked like when someone was controlled.
The Warden grabbed Sayha’s arm and turned her around. Then, Sayha heard some voices inside the room as well as a loud thump. Then the slightly masculine voice that had spoken before that came from inside the room, telling the Warden to bring her in. Sayha felt the gun press into her back, and she figured that was her cue to step forward.
Sayha walked forward and into the room. Hiro looked like he had been hit with something and was against the wall to her left.
The room was like a throne room which was to be expected since they were in a castle. In front of the two thrones were two people she didn’t recognize. One was a heretic and the other was a cleric.
Behind her, Sayha heard the door shut and a thunk of a piece of wood going against the doors to lock anyone in or out. Sayha turned off <Hearing Aptitude>, seeing as how she wouldn’t need it for the time being.
Sayha glanced around the room, trying to find a way out. Unfortunately, there were no immediate exits that she could find. What disturbed her was that there were various kinds of Jacks and other Halloween monsters in cages and attached to chains throughout the room. Something was definitely off about the situation.
“This is quite a welcome,” Sayha spoke sarcastically to the two in front of the thrones, “The destroyed entry room definitely gives the castle a warm feeling. Of course if you’re going for something cooler, I’m sure you can find an interior decorator.” Sayha wanted to hear their reaction. The only threat to her was the Warden and possibly the Heretic. If she could get rid of the Cleric quickly though… “Tell me, if you call us guests, shouldn’t you introduce yourself to your guests? Seems kind of rude not to.”
That was when she realized that her <Eagle Track> had still been on… but the footsteps disappeared. What the hell was going on?

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro still felt the powerful grip on him, as Sayha had been brought into the room, a Warden holding a gun up to her. His eyes widened a bit, as he saw the young girl holding up the weapon to the Assassin's back. Their demeanor was strange... Perhaps even as though they were being controlled. It was just now that he had noticed all the different Jacks and caged monsters spread around the room. Quite a welcoming sight, if Hiro had ever seen one. The darkness of the room was apparent, aside from a few candles that burnt, and the occasional flash of lightning. The room itself wasn't horrendously dark, as there was still light coming in from outside. However, these people needed to learn a certain mixture of words, specifically "mana lanterns." That being said, though, it didn't look like these people were overly fond of much light, outside of candles. If he had to stake a guess, these two definitely weren't the kind of people to take kindly to sunny days, long walks on the beach, or anything pleasant at all. He glowered at them, as Sayha had spoken.
The Cleric stepped forward, toward the Assassin. "Mind your tongue, woman!" He shouted. He was stopped by the hand of the Heretic, who then turned to face her as well.
"She proves a valid point, though." Her voice seemed innocent at first note, though the menace in her voice was still clear to decipher soon after. "We are, in truth, the hosts for these two, and we should rightly introduce ourselves." A wicked smile appeared across the Heretic's face, as she curtsied before the Assassin. "Greetings, young one, and welcome to the abode of Hecate, soon-to-be Goddess of the Crossroads in Elder Tales." She motioned to her side, pointing to the Cleric. His eyes shot open for a moment, before he bowed before Sayha as well. "To my side is my devout follower, Azrael, who has sworn his ever-lasting loyalty to me, as his righteous deity." The wicked grin continued to grow, somehow becoming more bestial, as she turned back to face Hiro, and curtsied to him as well. "The one holding the gun behind you, dear, is of no importance. She is only here to carry out my bidding." The Heretic fell silent again, and moved to the throne. She sat down, and made herself cozy. The Cleric moved to her side quickly thereafter, standing at attention.
Hiro raised an eyebrow. "Someone's clearly got a bad case of chuuni." He said, under his breath. He straightened himself up, and thought that he should ask some questions while he was here. "So, Hecate and Azrael. Any reason why you've decided to trash a castle and call it your own, after taking out all the lights?"
Hecate laughed silently. "This place was deemed the most fitting for my royal throne, as it exists in a place that is most suited for my needs." The veil on her head started to turn toward the Monk, the same creepy smile on her face. "Since it was previously inhabited, I merely... Readjusted how the interior was decorated, to also better suit my desires."
"Oh? That include slashing the shit out of all the paintings, save for one little girl? Seems kinda creepy enough to me."
The smile soon faded. "The portraits all across my home will not bolster another person's family, except for my own. The girl was simply left there, as a remnant of what my own life used to be." She stood back up, the grin reappearing. "After having come to this world, I've become much happier in my own way, and need not to be reminded of the worthless world from which we've come from." After this, Hiro fell silent. His glare was still more than present on his face, though he wanted to wait and see if Sayha had any further questions before he breaks these people's necks. Hecate smirked, and giggled a bit more. "I can see the hate on your faces, and I am willing to answer any more questions you two may have, should you desire answers. It matters not, for your lives will soon be mine, in due time." Hiro scoffed at this, and Hecate only smiled more. He didn't like this bitch. Not one bit.

The Cleric didn’t like Sayha’s tone at all, but Sayha suppressed her smirk. She had to make sure they were completely unaware of the plans that she started coming up with. And for once, she had the play by play plan in her head. She hoped Hiro would go along with it. It wasn’t the most honorable plan, but she had a pretty good feeling the Darklings would fight honorably. Of course, the heretic’s crap made it easier. The girl, the Heretic, had the nerve to say she was going to be a goddess. She announced herself as Hecate and the cleric was Azrael. The Warden wasn’t given a name. Hiro wasn’t happy about the situation either from what he was saying. More words were exchanged, but Sayha wasn’t listening. She was slowly moving for her move, and no one noticed at all. Good. By the time Hecate claimed that the two of them would be hers, Sayha made her move.
Her left hand was partially behind her back so she quickly turned to her left, slamming the Warden’s gun hand with her left hand. A shot discharged into the ground, aggravating the monsters, but that wasn’t her concern. In one quick shot while she slammed her left hand into the Warden’s hand, her fight formed a fist, and Sayha hit the warden directly in the jugular. Under normal circumstances, the Warden would have been sent to the hospital with that blow. The Warden was definitely caught on surprise which was Sayha’s advantage. With her left hand, she grabbed the gun out from the Warden’s hand. Once it was hers, she threw it to the side and slammed her right fist into the Warden’s face straight-on. The Warden fell backwards, but Sayha didn’t care what happened after that.
Sayha quickly turned, drawing her right sword only. She dashed forward full speed towards the two thrones; thanks to her armor, she was extra fast and hoped that helped her ability to dodge skills. She knew she could handle attacks from a 35 and an 18. Hopefully Hiro was busy with the Warden now.
“<Quick Draw>,” Sayha stabbed forward at the Cleric. The first attack did a lot of damage, and she planned on finishing it. “<Deadly Dance>,” Sayha slashed at the Cleric again, bubbles exploding from where his body once was.
PKing, or Player Killing, wasn’t something widely supported. Sayha never really got into PvP on other games either. However, she didn’t see any other option. Of course, she had a good feeling that the Heretic was the one actually behind everything. Nonetheless, the best strategy was to always go for the weakest opponent first.
Sayha drew her second sword and turned to the Heretic. With her right blade, she pointed at the Heretic’s neck. “With my sword, I vow I will kill you no matter what,” Sayha growled, “And I’ll kill you as many times as it takes for you to abandon your ridiculously stupid nightmare. My question: are you prepared for your damnation?”

[attr="class","capsol"] Having seen that Sayha had also had enough of the ramblings of a clearly-mad Heretic and her lackey, Hiro decided that he might as well make a move as well. He flexed his muscles suddenly, and started to rip himself out of the Darkness claw that had held him in place for the time being. A few of the Jacks had decided to float over his way, but all of them were rather low-leveled. Hiro needed only to punch them each once, before they all disappeared into nothingness. Sayha had, by this point, finished with dealing with the Warden that had held her 'captive' for now, and she dashed over to deal with pretty boy. Hiro knew that he would need to keep the Warden's attention, just to make sure that Sayha didn't feel the backlash of thrusting her back to an opponent. Having stepped cleanly in between the Warden and the Assassin, Hiro struck a defensive pose. The Warden still seemed to be dazed from the attack, or that might have just been her demeanor at the time. Hiro was about to strike at the girl, when suddenly, his eyes widened harshly, and he began to shake a little. The Warden's information had appeared above their head:
Morticia De'larose-Hardesty Race: Human Warden, Level 60 HP: -6792/ 6878 MP: -1987/ 1987 Person of the Land Heiress of Hardesty Castle
Hiro was confused. If the Warden had negative HP remaining, why were they still alive? What did that mean, having negative HP? He'd never seen anything like it before! The Warden, Morticia, did not seem to be reacting quickly at all. Hiro slowly reached out, and put a hand onto their pale skin. It was cold. Cold as ice. Hiro was without words at that moment. He stared, unbelieving. Was this girl... A Reanimated Corpse...?
The sound of laughter could be heard from the Heretic just a little ways away, with the blade at her throat. Hiro turned to look at them, slowly. The fear in his eyes shifted very quickly to pure rage. Without even realizing it, his body began to burn bright with Hellfire Drive, and his eyes turned feral, thanks to Eye of the Tiger. His body vanished from where it stood, as well as Hecate's body, as Hiro had lifted her up by the collar, a little distance from Sayha. "What..." He started, the rage fueled in his voice. "WHAT DID YOU DO!?!"
The Heretic had continued to laugh, even though she had now been lifted up off the ground. The veil covering her face had fallen off, showing her demonic purple eyes, and half of her face had been covered in black markings. Her devilish grin was accompanied by fangs instead of teeth, and her hair had finally fallen down, revealing raven black hair. Hiro was more than certain that the Miasma corruption had been the cause of this whole debacle, and that this had somehow given the Heretic a bypass with the monsters nearby. Her eyes shifted down to the Monk, the grin still present on her face. "The child was already dead when I found her." Hecate began. "My pets had just finished her off, and were about to devour her, when I stepped forward, and graced her with the blessing of being my knight. Then, I merely spoke to her, using my Level 41 Idol skill, to have her risen back from the dead, under my own conditions. She now serves me for all eternity, so long as I remain alive!" She glowered at the Monk, and continued. "Speaking of which..."
At that moment, a level 60 Draco Zombie had crashed in from above. It brought along with it a similar Level 30 Draco Zombie. The impact had caused Hiro to lose his grip on the Heretic, and he fell backwards. The higher leveled dragon had landed between himself and Hecate, while the lower leveled one landed next to Sayha. Both of them roared as they stared down the two Adventurers. "Now, you play with my lovely pets, and soon, you, too, shall join the ranks of my undead army!!" The insane Heretic walked back over to her throne, an sat back down. Hiro, still alight with flames, glared at the Draco Zombie before himself, as his anger had skyrocketed. He struck a fighting stance, and dashed off toward the monster.
Meanwhile, just a little ways away, Morticia stood there, watching the whole scene unfold. Soon enough, she crouched down onto her knees, and began to shiver slightly. "Ssssss..." A slight noise could be heard from the girl. "Sssssss... So... C-C... Cold..."

Just as Sayha had finished speaking, Hiro began to speak… and his voice was filled with rage. Sayha glanced over at what Hiro was getting mad at, and she now saw the Warden’s profile. Sayha’s grip on her blades grew tighter. The Heretic laughed as she began to float, and she removed her veil to show off her unhuman face. She was past saving. She then gloated about near killing the Warden and that she was controlling her from beyond the grave. Sayha was shaking. Not out of fear, but out of anger. She barely noticed when the Draco Zombies crashed through the roof and landed in front of both her and Hiro. Sayha sheathed her right blade and shrugged off her coat. The cold did not affect her when she was in the state of mind she was in. She dropped the coat behind her. She glared up as the Draco Zombie in front of her roared. She didn’t even flinch. Her eyes were now devoid of any feelings, showing how much anger was in her. As she heard the Heretic speak again, she had two clear thought in her mind. The heretic reminded her of the person she hated the most… and that she would kill the damned heretic… even if it meant her own death.
“You know, witch,” Sayha spat, her voice full of venom, “People like you are the reason people like me are made.” With only her left blade, she quickly dashed forward along the side of the Zombie. Her movements were different than before… she was no longer trying to psyche out anyone. She was going for a straight kill without any frills.
“<Shadow Bind>,” Sayha stabbed at the Draco’s shadow. Tendrils grabbed the Draco just as she ran past it. The Heretic was in her sights. With her right hand, Sayha grabbed the Heretic’s clothing that was by her chest. She was still moving so she pulled her off balance. Sayha abruptly stopped, pivoting to face the Heretic. Then, she slammed her fist downward to the ground as hard as she could. The Heretic’s body thumped very loudly at impact. Though Sayha wasn’t done.
“<Accel Dance>,” Sayha stabbed her blade against the Heretic’s body on the ground. Once the series of attacks were done, Sayha punched the Heretic in the stomach as hard as she could with her right hand. On that side, Sayha wasn’t nearly as strong as Hiro due to her class. However with both her training in mind and the class of she was fighting in mind, she as dealing plenty of damage with what she was doing.
Sayha heard the Draco Zombie roar at her, and she gave it a sideway glance. She grabbed the Heretic where she had before and threw her at the Zombie as it began to breathe its <Hellfire> attack. The Heretic took the full damage, and Sayha was undamaged.
Sayha then pivoted into a run and ran at her two opponents, “<Sword Rain Flurry>.” She stabbed forward at the two monsters, stabbing the Draco through the Heretic. The Draco still had quite a bit of health, but that was not her concern. The Heretic was almost dead, and she didn’t look like she was in a position to fight back herself. Sayha readied her blades for her final attack whenever it was off cooldown.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro's fist collided with the Draco Zombie before himself, as the burning light damage along with physical took place immediately. He wasn't holding anything back. He held far too much hate for this Heretic, and her ideals. He had absolutely no intention of even harming this Person of the Land, who happened to have become a reanimated soldier, for Hecate. Just thinking about it caused him to cringe even more. His anger was rising even more from there, as the flames grew a bit brighter. He recoiled off the Draco Zombie, and dodged to the side quickly as it began to unleash a blast of Hellfire. Hiro landed to the side, and wound back, letting some energy charge up in his fist. A blue glow began to form around his hand, becoming red due to the effects of Hellfire Drive, and it formed into an orb very quickly afterward. It started to grow in size, as he launched himself toward the monster again. His fist impacted onto the beast, using Dragon Rising Uppercut, which dealt a massive amount of damage. The dragon stood there, as darkness started to seep out of it.
Hiro disappeared from sight once again, only to show up next to the other Draco Zombie. As much as he wanted to beat Hecate senseless, he figured that Sayha was already doing that for him. Begrudgingly, he'd let her do it, while he'd watch her back. This was the job of a tank, in any case, despite how much he wished to personally demolish the Heretic's particles. The Assassin would be able to take care of everything for the time being, and the Monk would focus on making sure that she wasn't going to be attacked. His anger and rage shifted over to the Draco Zombie before himself, as his fist planted itself into monster. He quickly followed it up with another fist, and then another, and another. Pretty soon, his legs would be involved. Soon enough, he was in an all-out rage of a beat rush, quickly decreasing the monster's health, finishing it off with a powerful roundhouse kick, knocking it away from himself. The flames around his body roared with anger. As the Draco Zombie exploded into darkness, the Monk turned his attention over toward the Warden nearby. His body returned to a normal state, and his eyes reverted as well. Morticia had been kneeling there, holding herself and shaking, her health increasing once again, heading toward 0. His eyes started to become more somber, as he approached the girl. Her eyes were slowly closing, as she mumbled silently to herself. Hiro's eyes darted back to the Heretic, absolute hate burning within his pupils.
The Heretic, after having been thrown around by the Assassin, was still laughing as maniacally as before. She watched the angry Assassin's eyes, and reveled in them. She was clearly insane, as the corruption had taken its toll on her mind. She found the lowering of her health bar to be enjoyable, rather than fearful. She said nothing, but continued to laugh as she had been before. Eventually, her health started to drop to a dangerous amount, after the Assassin had stabbed her through to the Draco Zombie. Hecate had stepped forward, towards the Assassin, holding out her fingers. "You, too..." She started. "Shall... BURN!!!" Dark flames erupted from her fingers, and flew directly to Sayha. [Hellfire], the Heretic's own skill, would wrap itself in dark fire around Sayha, and assault her with the burning evil. The flames persisted for a few seconds, with Hecate laughing all the while.

Sayha felt the explosion of the first Draco Zombie, and she saw Hiro go for the second. It quickly exploded into darkness as well. During that entire time, the Heretic was still laughing. Sayha saw Hiro eye the Heretic, but he didn’t attack her and instead went over to the Warden. He was trusting her to finish the job. Then, the Heretic held out her hand, telling her that she would burn. Black fire came out of her fingertips, and it enclosed Sayha. She didn’t even feel the heat or darkness that bit at her, and she quickly dashed forward toward the Heretic, coming out of the fire.
“<Quick Draw>,” Sayha dashed forward, slicing the Heretic, “<Deadly Dance>.” She slashed in the opposite direction than she had, and the Heretic exploded into bubbles. Her demonic laugher didn’t leave the air until the bubbles were completely gone. All of Sayha’s anger slowly left her, and she went back to how she usually was. She sheathed her blade, walking forward a few steps. She grabbed her jacket from where she left it and shrugged it over her shoulders. Then she turned to where Hiro and the Warden were.
The Warden’s HP was about to hit zero. “I’m sorry that we can’t help you,” Sayha said, “but may your passing now be in peace.” When the Warden’s health hit zero, Sayha closed her eyes and sighed. When she opened her eyes, she felt tears form, but she held them in.
“There’s nothing more for us here, Hiro,” Sayha said softly, “The only thing we can do for her now is to burn her and this place to the ground. The fire will purify this place, and no one will dare try to take a throne here again. We can at least do that for her.”
Sayha waited for Hiro to respond, and she would help him do whatever he decided.

[attr="class","capsol"] The next few moments were filled with combat. Sayha had struck down the Heretic, after having basically shrugged off the fire that had been launched at her. Hiro watched as the Assassin had caused the laughing Heretic to disappear into nothingness. Perhaps the release of a death in this game would be enough to clear the corruption from her mind, and would wake her up from the trance that she had been put into. He let out a sigh of relief, at the ending of the Heretic, as well as the last of this place's last worries. However, the next bit of time... Wasn't exactly the most relieving moment. Hiro's eyes had shifted back to the shivering girl, just behind him. The weapon on the ground, just a little ways away, had rusted over entirely, and couldn't have been fired, no matter how hard the user tried. The user, however, had slowly been dying once again. Her body began to shake less and less, as she slowly slumped over onto the ground. Sayha had said a few words to the young girl, but she soon closed her eyes, letting out a sigh. The girl had passed, finally, right before them.
Hiro felt a mixture of emotions. Anger, hatred, remorse, sadness, regret, and a few others. He tried to take in a deep breath, to calm himself down, but one could easily hear the wavering in even his breath. He clenched his fists tightly, making his knuckles white. He had to really suppress his emotions at the moment, to make the best call. Hiro looked over to Sayha, and nodded to her idea. He then walked over, and picked up the gun that was just on the floor a little ways away. As his hand touched the cold gunmetal, the feeling of remorse swelled up within him, but very quickly turned to anger. Anger toward that Heretic, Hecate, and her little lackey. He silently damned the both of them, as he started to leave the room. As he walked out, he felt a cold chill run down his spine. He looked over to the end of the hallway, and saw the shadowy figure from before. It was standing there, just looking over at them. It was, indeed, in the same shadow that they had seen before. However, it was plastered up against the wall. The figure slowly bowed to the two, before it disappeared, with a flash of lightning. After that, silence...
The rain was still pouring just outside, though it wasn't enough to quell the fire of the burning building before them. Hiro had made the motion to bury the gun around here, and made a small headstone out of a few various large rocks. It wasn't necessarily a good enough memorial, but it was still something. Hiro didn't know what exactly to do in response to everything. The overwhelming sadness in him shifted over to plain old remorse, as he watched the building burn. He couldn't say that he was attached to the girl, though it was enough that she happened to be a Lander. One who could not revive at all. Perhaps that's why Hope had left such a big imprint on him. Having not really experienced much death before now, especially not having watched someone die before his eyes, he didn't really hold a significant connection to just how long forever is. Hiro started to open up his menu, feeling that he couldn't really take this all anymore. "We should probably go." He said to Sayha, activating Call of Home. It wasn't that he didn't care about the girl, but he felt guilt over her passing. If only there was something he could have done... Which, he knew wasn't possible. With the thought still in his mind, he watched as the rings began to form around him, to return back to London. As the skill was performing its animation, though, he spoke very quietly, looking up to the building. "Hey, Hope." Hiro whispered. "Do me a solid, would you?" He paused for a moment, as his body was whisked away. "Keep an eye on Morticia."
As the two of them vanished, a girl's voice quietly spoke. "Thank you..." From there, the cracking and burning of the house was all that could be heard, among the pouring rain.
