Appearance What he once was? The epitome of irrelevancy; though, what he is now amounts to a humanoid feline with a pelt of melancholic blue. He possesses no greater nor lesser stature than his long-forgotten earthen form, a result of his characteristic humility seeping into the character creation process. Perhaps his feline ears, fur of a darker blue paint, accounts for an extra few inches he was not in possession of prior; but with that said, Kayseth is, in summary, a short individual. Typically, reservation can be found within the werecat’s strides, behaviours and expressions. Solitude brings about an average, aloof variety of stride while an influx of other individuals can result in a folding over of the self. His head lowers, shoulders rise subtly in elevation and he often hunches over. Seemingly, his face is forever a blank and curious canvas that only accentuates his apparently simple equanimity. Kayseth’s world is filtered through a pair of brown irises, ones which bear an unfaltering verity and hide behind them an ignominious, bowelless seed. His facial features as well as his overall appearance suggests he resides in years both youthful and filled-to-bursting with untapped potentials. His body is toned moderately, shapely. His hide holds two shades of blue: a navy blue, which begins as a makeshift hairline and covers the top and back of his head as well as his ears, his forearms, hands, ankles, and feet and a lighter blue, which serves as his dominate fur colour. Like all werecats, he, of course, possesses no tail, but just a pulchritudinous derrière. What he dons is whatever he is able to afford. This means Kayseth wears few things outside of the armor he is capable of wearing as his class; but he prefers simple, comfortable cloth. | Personality Kayseth beams a phlegmatic nature and casts much of the remaining three temperaments to the wayside. Like a passing storm, his wild and childly persona left an unsettling calm within its wake. A certain equanimity cling’s to the werecat with a stubborn viscidity. Often, his face reflects this and at times peaks with a characteristic bewildered curiosity. Blessed with a blend of common sense and considerateness as well as a respectable portion of empathy, he is very much aware of his own space and that of others. ‘Space’ is what defines him. He respects it, wishes not to obstruct it in the physical, mental, or even spiritual sense and to do so would be sinful. Meek, but without a shred of cowardice. The approachable, albeit aloof nature Kayseth possesses was not born of cowardice, but a coalesce of waning self-worth and empathy. Hardly surprising is his tendency to keep to himself, to behave as the quiet individual he undoubtedly is. Within, though, nestled in a cold, estranging dark lies a concentrated seed of frustration and ire. Perhaps its vapours is what bestows upon him his usually steady emotional state and surprising, but definite courageousness. Those that do not allot to any degree the respect he does upon them stirs that very seed. Kayseth’s modest and reserved nature spoils into something dismissive. It sours further into a more outward and obvious, but quiet display of hatred and in honesty, this may be Kayseth’s truer self. It is the self used when he fights, something he never had to do when his character danced to the rhythm of his fingers. As an individual who turns inward more frequently than he does outward, Kayseth could be considered more in tune with his intuition. While he does not discard observation, it is of a different kind; one relevant to people and how they - or even he as a reference, typically react. It makes him fairly perceptive, but far from psychic to say the least. His weaker points, like politics, makes it difficult to read the actions of politicians and other individuals in positions of power for a position of power is something he has never been in. While Kayseth is nigh intrepid, relatively perceptive, approachable and considerate, he harbours bottled frustrations that easily fester into unfounded hatreds. Typically, he is approachable with a favourable disposition. He is reserved, but after two years in game living alongside NPCs, he is more willing to reach out to others on his own accord. It makes him marginally socially awkward. Expectantly as a well-established introvert, the denser a crowd, the more smothered he feels. Public speaking is likely his biggest fear and sociability his biggest weakness. However, the mental focus and resolve he is capable of wielding is likely his biggest strength. |
Extra
Pascal himself is ambidextrous - a petty talent that ostensibly fits him perfectly. While in his most rebellious phase during adolescence, he crafted wooden weapons instead of furniture as instructed. This is where a habitual interest in archery developed, something that would quickly become quite the convenient development after his world became that of Elder Tale. This is the reason for his stubborn bow-and-arrow-focused build.
Biography
Mundanity; a placid, insipid ocean of a life for certainly, it was a thing of beauty for its simplicity alone. Pascal was born as an only child in France to a very regular wed couple. Each were bilingual, speaking both French and English. The young Pascal, with the usual mind that gluttonized and digested information with the utmost degree of ease, would become bilingual as well. As a child, he was active with a typical, outgoing and childly persona. However, as he grew, he developed a perspective based on his own observations. Instead of imposing or being in the way, he would take care in giving others enough space to be themselves. In the end, that space he allotted others was mistaken for a space he was creating himself in an effort to distance himself from everybody else.
His insight was very much a product of his growing introversion. Following his graduation, that distance made him ever-the-less alluring to maintain contact with. So, the few friends Pascal had during his schooling were lost. He felt abandoned and possessed no answer as to why he amounted to, outside of his immediate family, little more than a specter. Though, it mattered not for he needed to focus on preparing for the rest of his life. A flux of fortunate good and ill. There was a family business of sorts and it revolved around the creation and selling of furniture. Essentially, a future had already been laid out for him; but oh my, how dull it was. Fortunately, Pascal cared not. Already, he felt as if his life had very little meaning. Perhaps not chronic, but he certainly was depressed. With a future of woodcrafting already laid out for him, it just meant there was one less thing to stress about.
Pascal’s interest in gaming grew alongside his growing absence of company. For Pascal, MMORPGs offered the tantalizing illusion of being social when in actuality, he was being anything but that. His play style, class and profession choices reflected such. He often ventured off on his own. Games that required teamwork seemed to be the bane of his existence and were fated to ultimately lose his interest. Elder Tale, however, was a game too large to cast to the wayside to try yet another “promising” “F2P.” Alongside post-secondary schooling, Pascal dabbled in Elder Tale until he eventually found himself living inside of it in, very much, the literal sense.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Assassin
Hiding Entry: Tier I Skill. Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, lightly draining the user's MP upon use. It has a cooldown of 10 seconds the moment it is canceled.
Atrophy Break: Tier I Skill. Debuff Ranged Attack. While Assassins primary favor physical attacks, they have adopted some minor magic in the past to keep up with the advances of magi. By enchanting a projectile with a spell, the Assassin can cause a spectral chain to bind their target on contact, the projectile itself only deals normal physical damage however. Weaker enemies with little resistance can be completely paralyzed by the chains, while stronger enemies are merely slowed. This skill has an casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds.
Death Stinger: Tier I Skill. Self Buff. Poison, a classic tool of assassins but honor less by nature. By coating their weapons in these foul concoctions, the attacks of an Assassin can poison their enemies, slowly chipping away at their health overtime. A successful hit with an regular melee or ranged attack by the Assassin inflicts a Death Stinger poison debuff on the target, which inflicts damage over time for 10 seconds. Every time the target is hit again, the debuff duration is refreshed. Users of this technique must be wary though, as anyone struck by the blade can be poisoned, even the users themselves. The effect of this skill is removed whenever the Assassin switches out the weapon. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds and a cooldown of 30 seconds.

Roleplay Class: Tracker
Silent Move: A skill that deadens the user's movements whenever traveling, preventing them from making any sound while walking. In exchange, the Tracker's movement speed is reduced by 50%. For every 10 levels the tracker gains in their subclass level, this debuff is decreased by 10%. After Level 50, the debuff is eliminated completely.
Crafting Class: Woodcrafter
Timber: Toggle skill. Woodcrafters naturally have an affinity for chopping and carving wood, making their abilities key in harming monsters that happen to be arboreal in nature. Woodcrafters deal 20% more damage to Plant-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Plant-type monsters upon a successful hit.
