[attr="class","titleBox"]This broken glass is all I've got left! [attr="class","textBox"] The vision Saber received was something far different than he could have ever expected; he saw a peaceful city. It was quiet and steady, with people patiently making their way through its streets without much of a care in the world. Merchants and traders argued over prices while others minded their own business, carrying either goods or children to and from various different locations. Guards paced through their designated patrol zones either alone, or in groups, and they did so very professionally. The day seemed like any regular day, but Saber felt different as he looked on. He was unable to move and unable to turn his eyes away from anything as he looked on from some sort of split dimension. People phased through his vision and didn’t even acknowledge his presence as they did so. It was as if Saber was a ghost, a ghost who was forced to see.
Directly to his front, Saber could see a massive fountain and several people crowded around it. Some of them sat with friends, chatting away while a few others looked after their young ones. The eyes Saber was forced to use though blinked a few times, turning away after a few moments. The eyes looked left and Saber spotted someone who was completely out of place as compared to the others. This being was armored to the teeth and clothed quite vibrantly. The man wore bright red colors and his armor was branded with several sigils. This man relaxed in his seat beside where Saber was trapped and seemed to be staring forward. The eyes then turned to the right and Saber found himself looking at a woman dressed in much lighter armor, sharpening a blade. She was dressed in black clothes and her brand was different. Once again, the eyes turned back to the fountain and the being Saber was trapped in leaned back in the seat.
“It’s here.” The man to the left spoke as the fountain began to sputter. The peaceful air only lasted a short time more and then a sharp, high pitched scream echoed into the streets. The two beings to Saber’s right and left stood up and stepped forward as a portal appeared above the fountain. It was a dark hole that ripped open in the clear blue sky and out from within came the end of all things. A swarm of bees buzzed outwards and engulfed the people surrounding the fountain, devouring and stinging the people to their deaths. The being Saber was stuck in stood up and pulled forth a staff, using the tall object as an additional leg.
“Let’s go.” The man in red said aloud, pulling a shield off his back and a longsword off his waist. The woman in black nodded and drew a second knife, twirling them both in her hands. The bee swarm expanded and several of the little bugs disappeared down the other streets. However, the three Saber was concerned with did not rush. They prepared themselves for war and when they were ready, then they attacked. The man in heavy armor rushed forward, his sword and shield ready to carry the world as the woman in green ran behind him. Several bees sprouted forth from the collective and attempted to attack the two, but they swiftly dispatched of the annoyances and then hunkered down. The mage Saber observed from cast a few spells, reinforcing his allies with his chants. The hive hissed loudly and then attacked with force.
“Here they come!” The three seemed prepared for battle, or at least comfortable in it. The man in red attracted the bees to him with a howl and slashed at the beings which dared get to close to him. The woman in green swiftly dissected those who attacked the man’s weak spots and eradicated the bugs that tried to get to their support mage. The mage performed several healing skills and kept the debuffs off of his allies. In between heals, the man attacked with ranged magic. They were good, but no matter how many they killed, the bees kept coming.

[attr="class","titleBox"]This broken glass is all I've got left! [attr="class","textBox"] “Hold the line!” The red warrior shouted, his body igniting with emotion and strength as he fended off the barrage of bugs. Around his feet, the body count of bees increased rapidly. Yet with each bee he swatted, another three emerged from within the portal and the swarm only increased. The trio held their ground even so, their weapons alight with strength and their movements unwavering. They worked together like a well-oiled machine and covered methodically dealt with the problem at hand. Yet they could only hold back so many of the creatures and those that they could not get spread into the streets. People screamed in horror and agony, other soldiers moved to fight and alarms sounded off all throughout the port city. Hell on earth had come to their door.
“This isn’t working, Randal!” The green-clothed female shouted as she tried to intercept a dozen bees heading for a nearby building. A man scrambled out from beneath its wooden body and ran down the street towards where the mage was standing. The Cleric turned his gaze and attacked the bees, striking them down with a powerful spell. The woman nodded and turned her attention to the lingering bugs, finishing them off. The man in red armor huffed and squeezed his sword tight, swinging violently to his right. His weapon cut through the bodies of three bees. Indeed, it was not working. Saber could see it.
The trio was working efficiently and effectively, they were covering each other and kept the attention of the swarm on them. However, they were not strong enough to keep all of the bees on them. Even with all of their might and their strength, the city was still being attacked. It was as if they were the ones being kept at bay, and not the collective of yellow demons. The man in red realized this but he did not change his plan. Instead, he shouted for the others to do better, try harder, and kill faster. They acknowledge his cries and did their best, they tried harder, and they killed faster. Yet the hive met their pace. The city was dying and its people were being slaughtered. Saber could hear it. He could hear the swarm spreading like a virus through the city and as he watched, helpless, only death filled his view. This city, this beautiful city, was being systematically ripped apart by that hive. The trio Saber watched were brave, but they could not hold out forever.

[attr="class","titleBox"]This broken glass is all I've got left! [attr="class","textBox"] “The gate! The Gate to the other districts has fallen!” A soldier shouted as he ran up the street. This snagged the attention of the mage immediately and he looked over his shoulder. Saber watched as the man ran forward, shouting for the attention of the three at the hive’s feet. The cleric looked back towards the other two and let out a sigh. He cast another spell, chanted once more, and then encapsulated the armored man in a bubble. The man glared over his shoulder towards the mage, who stood defiant.
“Randal! Do not lose focus! Our goal is not to destroy but to buy time! The city is falling and evacuation has begun! We must keep the attention of the beast!” The Cleric shouted out his words, trying to refocus the man across from him, but all he got was a hard stare. Randal wanted glory, not success and even Saber could see it. The cleric cursed under his breath and released the armored warrior, watching as the man went back into a frenzy with his blades. The Cleric cast healing magic on the man to support him, but then the Cleric did something else. He buffed Randal thrice, increasing the man’s defense, health, and strength. After he did that, the Cleric whistled for the attention of the woman in green.
“Laura! Go to the Trickster! Lonsdale has fallen!” The words which came from the Cleric’s mouth stunned the woman for a moment and she looked towards him as if he was mad. Randal snarled and smashed his blade into the ground as he spliced a bee in half. He glared towards the Cleric and roared.
“Lonsdale will not fall! Not while I stand!” Randal barked, turning back to the hive as the adrenaline in his veins pulsed like gasoline. Saber narrowed his eyes and waited, watching as the Cleric continued to provide support. The hive did not react to the argument and the bees kept coming, an unstoppable force of death as it spread through the city. Randal sprouted nonsense and seemed to be only engulfed in his own war as he swung his blade. The cleric, on the other hand, remained calm and collected. Saber watched as he checked his surroundings as well as on the other sections of the city that he could see. The Cleric processed all of the information and concluded that Randal was not enough, thus he had given the order. At this rate, they would be the last three left. When that happened, Saber knew that they would be killed.
“Laura! Go! Now! Before it’s too late!” The Cleric enhanced the woman’s body and she jumped back, escaping from the reach of the hive as she felt her body heat up. She landed beside the cleric, her body coming to a halt just off to his side.
“Are you sure, Elton?” Laura glanced over towards the Cleric and he answered with a curt nod.
“Warn him of what you saw. Tell him everything. He will know what to do.” The Cleric spoke in a determined tone and Randal shouted out curses towards the Cleric, but received no response. Without much more support, the bees began to attack Randal with more ferocity. The red armored warrior was quickly overwhelmed and even with the Cleric performing his strongest magics, the armor could not hold. Elton gave Laura one last call and demanded that she leave. It was then that she did so. The woman turned her back on her two allies and ran up the street, disappearing into the alleyways. The Cleric cursed out loudly and shifted from defensive magic to offensive and began to strike at the hive aggressively. Bees dropped out of the sky from the power and even as Randal fell, Elton kept the hive at bay. This was the final hour…

[attr="class","titleBox"]This broken glass is all I've got left! [attr="class","textBox"] With Laura gone and Randal collapsing, Elton had only one option remaining. He exchanged his life for power and enchanted himself with a sacrificial skill. He attracted the horde in front of him and engaged with all of his strength. Lightning, fire, and earth was flung at the hive as the Mage barred his fangs. For a moment, the hive was contained and the buzzing army was crippled. Elton waved his staff and shouted his orders towards the skies, summoning forth several minions to fight for him. Then, he called to the dark. Black magic poured out from his staff and infected the bodies around the hive, including Randal’s. The bodies, now nothing but empty shells, were filled with the black mana and they returned to life. The beings stood up tall and attacked the hive with their bodies and whatever weapons they could grab. Elton made his final stand. “I will give them time! Every second of my waning life will be given for this city! You! You wretched beast! You will not take them from me!” Elton shouted, his staff illuminating brightly as the skies began to swirl above him. A thunderous roar echoed out from above as the mage called for the heaven’s retribution. From above, a massive meteor shot down and crashed into the center of the hive, obliterating several bees as well as causing damage to the area around the hive. Elton braced himself as the shockwave blasted out from the impact point and shoved his staff into the floor. Rocks turned upwards and hovered around the mage before shooting forward like missiles, striking the hive in its core. However, even with all of his magical might, the hive persisted. Bees surged from the portal behind the hive and spread like fire. They attacked Elton’s minions violently and tore them apart. Elton grit his teeth. “With every fiber of my being, I will hold you here!” The staff in the mage’s hand flared once more and all around him and the hive, a massive wall of mana spread and stretched into the sky. The bees which tried to escape were devoured by the magic and burned to a crisp. Elton locked himself into the shell with the hive, forcing it to direct its attention onto him. But even then, the hive would not take him. Elton chanted one final spell and froze time around himself and the hive, stopping the bees in their tracks. The mage closed his eyes and took in a heavy breath. “Laura… May the Celestials be with you…” When he opened his eyes, Elton cursed the hive and used his staff to cut his hand. Blood leaked out and a seal appeared at his feet. With a final chant, the man sealed himself into a statue and with all of his remaining power, the wall of mana collapsed on the hive. The vision ended.
