Bosco was subdued and trembling, and would not stop huddling against Capsule for comfort. She could only imagine the horrible things he had witnessed while being babysat by the Trickster and company. He was physically unharmed at least, so she could not accuse the Trickster of foul play. Besides, time was of the essence. She needed to meet up with the Messier Order to report her findings… and ask a few questions, while she was at it.

Upon reaching the meeting spot, Capsule found her eyes being drawn to one of the other sages. There was something very familiar about him, though she could not immediately place it. He possessed an air of authority over the rest of the sages, and -- He turned his head, giving Capsule a full view of his profile. "…Eh? Magistrate Zaffre? What are you doing here?"

The Sage blinked back at her in surprised confusion, and then softly laughed. He introduced himself as Sage Bode. "I have been getting that a lot lately, but no, I am not the Magistrate. I take it that your journey has gone well thus far?"

"Oh! Right. A lot happened, but I also met someone who looked just like you while I was in Lune. But first…" Capsule went on to explain her previous journey, from meeting the Trickster, to traversing the catacombs, and Praesepe. "It was a tougher fight than Brachyura, honestly. I would not have made it out alive, if not for the Lander who helped me. She was from the uh… the Black District." She so wanted to ask for clarification on this whole district thing.

Sage Bode slowly stroked his chin, now deep in thought. "I would like to start by saying that I am a descendant of Magistrate Zaffre. I am not the only one, either. The rest of the Order is composed of the descendants of Lune who managed to flee the city." With one hand, he gestured at the rest of the group. "So you can see why this quest is so important to us. We require more of your assistance, and will help you any way we can." It figures that they would be the last surviving members of a dead culture. Capsule had not seen much of the districts, but she was always skeptical of division like that. Just look at North and South Korea, or Berlin. "Unfortunately, we lack the power to command the powers of the Pebble, but we will guide you in our stead."

Capsule nodded. "Then tell me of what you know about Praesepe."

"Ah, the Genius of Pestilence. Truly a remarkable foe. It is almost a shame that its mind eroded away to madness. It fed on the emotions of the people, after first bringing them to despair. Its presence in the Lune Seaport was more than enough to leave the city defenseless. You see, it did not just go for the citizens, oh no. It targeted several prominent leaders, killing or abducting them, almost as if it were sent on an assassination mission… It was during the Harvest Moon Festival of the Third Cerulean Era, too. Their guard was down, so it was… easy." Like shooting fish in a barrel. "We do believe that you were successful in your mission. The creature was once mentioned in exquisite detail in our old texts, but now it is scarcely more than a footnote. You have changed history, Capsule."

She changed history, but there was still the issue of the destruction at the Harvest Moon Festival. Capsule inwardly groaned. She could feel another boss fight coming. Of course, this also meant that she got to attend the banquet, and that required her to go right whatever wrong occurred at the festival. Her stomach filled with dread as Sage Bode shifted to a different topic: the Pebble. He and the others were hoping to turn it into the Philosopher's Stone. Capsule just shrugged. They would have plenty of time to prepare, while she was out losing an arm and a leg over these fricking boss fights. "If that is all, I am going to get going now. I have a lot of work ahead of me."

She also had a weird grimoire to sort through. This quest reward… it allowed her to summon the Genius of Pestilence, much like the gemstone used to summon Brachyura. These items would give her an edge over the next boss, though she would feel safer if she had a party member to back her up. Hopefully she would be able to convince Guinevere and Cassius to join her. Somehow she had her doubts about the former, but maybe she could get the ex- lovers to work together.
