This is one reason why he typically prefers more formal clothing styles, for they give him the atmosphere of confidence. Even still, he doesn't usually wear his clothes in the typical fashion that one would expect. As the day passes on, collars are more likely to be popped and jackets tend to be draped over the shoulders. Yet he continues to walk with a dignified air, a wild aura unlike an aristocrat but more of a mafia boss. This in itself is characteristic of his personality as well. While appearance is important, what's necessary is to always remain who you are. Majestic golden hair yet clothes of a man who isn't afraid of digging through the Earth in order to uncover the treasures within... This combination of formal attire yet a somewhat unkempt posture is what many will remember him by. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Izo is not the kind of person who will cling to formalities and do everything properly. He is a very independent person who values practicality. His clothes are formal enough to give a good appearance yet comfy and warm enough to wear when he doesn't need to keep up appearances. His class choice of Guardian is practical enough that he can decide to rush recklessly into battle or play it safe whenever he desires. He even delegates his work if he finds that others are more capable. Stuff like official applications, be them for a job or for hobbies, might as well be left to someone who can handle all the complicated business. Izo isn't one to get caught in the details. The end justifies the means, and if the end is something worth striving for, then why not make it a little easier for himself? That said, when it comes down to it, Izo isn't afraid to take action and call the shots. He is a born leader, possessing loyalty in his comrades and pride in his roles. Much like his forementioned image of a mafia boss, even new acquaintances are treated with regard as though they were old friends. When it comes to the needs of other people, he often places them before him. Sometimes this desire places him into contradictory positions of inconvenience, but that doesn't stop him. Helping a friend is probably one of the most practical things you can do, no matter what the cost. This is, however, the root of his troubles as well. Being a person who prides compassion for others, he is greatly hurt when his kindness is exploited. With a heavy heart, he will be forced to make tough decisions on whether it would be practical to maintain a friendship or to cut ties for both parties' sake. It will usually take a few days and more than a few glasses of alcohol in order to get his concentration back on track. But once he recovers, he is ready to continue forward. If he is to make a good role model for other people, he needs to be able to show an outside confidence in order to put everyone at ease. Even if his world comes crumbling down, he will stand tall and see to it in the end. And then he will rebuild it himself, with his own hands. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Izo grew up in a rather poor family who struggled to get by. With a mom who worked two jobs and a father who was always at the office, Izo’s early years were filled with struggle and strife. Although Izo didn’t attend the best schools, he was a natural at all subjects often scoring all A’s. Thanks to that, Izo was able to attend a university on a full ride academic scholarship. When Izo turned eighteen, he was hired into a big corporation, working from an intern and eventually was promoted to a supervisor position. While Izo enjoyed work, the things he enjoyed more than anything were video games and alcohol. Izo wasn’t the raging alcoholic type of drinker, but the fun and social kind that enjoyed drinking while having fun with his friends. Currently Izo lives with his fiancé who works as a chef at a nearby restaurant. Both Izo and his fiancé heard about Elder Tale while playing another online game. This instantly caught the attention of both, so they both ran out and bought copies as soon as they could. But as Izo logged in to get a head start while his fiancé was at work, the catastrophe happened, leaving Izo locked in Elder Tales without his significant other. This causes movement speed away from the Guardian to lower the farther away a user is. As a result, some might attempt to make a run for it by either dashing or jumping. These two actions trigger the second part of this skill, which delivers a heavy counter to punish a retreating foe. It effectively serves as a way to maintain the enemy's attention on the Guardian. [attr="class","skill"]Resilience: A passive ability of the Guardian. Due to their highly defensive class role, their HP regenerates faster outside of battle compared to other classes. Additionally, they regenerate a small amount of HP within battle, every couple of seconds. This passive battle healing is not very high, but it might prove to save one's life in the long run. [attr="class","skill"]Shield Mastery: Passive skill. As the premiere tank of Elder Tale, the Guardian's signature equip is their large shield. Even so, it's rather bulky and takes some time to get used to for most players. As Shield Mastery progresses, the apparent weight of the shield decreases and its defense increases. [attr="class","skill"]Holy Banishment: The Exorcist covers their palm in a glowing light and points at a target, releasing a semi-transparent laser forward. If the target was an aggressive monster, they drop aggro on the party for a few moments and may even retreat. If the target is an Undead or Spirit monster, or if they are weak to abilities of the Light element, then this skill knocks them back and deals light damage. It has a cast time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 10 seconds, and its potency increases with a higher Wisdom stat and Exorcist level. [attr="class","skill"]Detox: When your occupation is all about alcohol, you can't let things like hangovers slow you down! Brewers are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and potions. They also recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Mace: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Great Shield: A starter great shield designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron.
