Appearance In the old world Patricia was an Anthropology graduate student at University College London (UCL). As a graduate student she had limited resources to spend on her aesthetic appeal and mostly wore purely utilitarian, and ugly, clothing such as baggy sweats and wide brimmed glasses. She was also a tad overweight. When she began to play Elder Tale she elected to play a 'cuter' character. Although she retained her general physique, she gave her Elder Tale avatar a few stylistic differences. In-game she swapped out her glasses and sweats. In their place she accumulated racks of trendy clothes that she could not afford, or was too ashamed to wear, in the old world. She has long black hair that reaches to her back and hazel eyes. Her height is 5'4''. | Personality Patricia is an introvert, which is partly why she spent most of her free time in the old world playing Elder Tale over going out. Her introverted nature can also be seen in other in-game choices she has made such as her selection of the Monk class, a solo friendly class, in order to avoid needing a party to explore. When she does interact with others she prefers to seek out the company of those who are her juniors. She is comfortable in teacher-student relationships, but noticeably becomes agitated when she is around others of her own age. When she is angry she channels her emotion in passive aggressive insults. In both the old and current world she has never enjoyed getting into blatant fights. She briefly went through a stage where she sought to cope with the current situation by picking fights with other players, but she quickly found this unsatisfying and quit after she was killed for the first time. In the current world she has allowed herself a more whimsical personality and plays pranks of her fellow adventurers. Her favorite gag is to flirt with others - males and females alike. This whimsical personality is partly her method of coping with the situation - she finds refuge in humor. In the old world her coping mechanism when she became nervous or angry was playing with her pet cat. Early on she attempted to replicate this by adopting a pet familiar in Elder Tale, but she felt as if she were cheating on her cat by doing so. Although it has taken her awhile to come to terms with the new world, she has taken genuine interest in cataloging it. She is at her happiest when she is writing down notes on beasts and creating maps. She wears a wide grin and becomes more tolerant of interacting with others during these moments. |

Biography
Patricia Proudhon was born and raised in Warwick, England. She was brought up as an only child in an upper middle class family. Her parents were French migrants. Her mother was a homemaker, but her father was a college professor. Her family are Easter & Christmas Catholics, although her mother attempts to push her and her father to attend more regularly. She completed her undergraduate studies in the University of Warwick before being accepted to the anthropology graduate program in University College London. Her selection of academia had never been explicit, but Patricia always felt it implicit that she should continue the work of her father.
Although she has had a few romantic relationships, they never went anywhere as she refused to commit to marriage until after her studies were complete. This refusal to commit was not a major issue in her early relationships, few adolescents are thinking of marriage, but it became an increasing obstacle as she grew elder. Patricia has been a strict monogamist.
Patricia began playing Elder Tale during her undergraduate study. Many of her childhood friends had been split up when they attended different universities and Elder Tale presented an opportunity for them to continue interacting despite geographical distance. Patricia's first character had actually been a Healer and she partied with her friends regularly. After a few years though she fell out of her relationship with most of her friends as they moved on in their lives and focused their energy on their careers and families. Patricia had never been particularly social and eventually she created a new character, her current monk, when she no longer had a regular party to explore with.
Patricia has never seriously been part of a guild. When she had first joined Elder Tale she regularly partied with her friends, but they were such a small group that there was no need to make a guild. When she became a solo player she occasionally joined a guild, but always for a clear goal. She spends most of her time exploring the game and cataloging what she can.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Monk
Wind Bullet: Tier 1. Toggle skill. A skill that is usually performed with a free hand, making it a useful technique for Monks and characters who wield only a single one-handed weapon. It can also be used with an actual firearm, causing wind bullets to be fired whenever the gun is not loaded with any form of ammunition. Its bare handed version is performed by extending the thumb and index finger while curling the other three fingers, as though a gun gesture is being made. Thanks to the toggle function of this skill acting as a safety, it can be turned off for those times where you don't want to accidentally shoot people because of your careless gestures. By pressing down the thumb or trigger, a concentrated shot of air is expelled forward from the index finger or barrel, causing a minor recoil from the shot. Wind bullets shot from this attack are fairly weak and are used more often to subdue or stall an opponent. This skill has a range of 10 meters, an animation time of 0.5 seconds, and a cooldown time of 1 second.
Heal: Description. Tier 1. The most fundamental HP recovery magic of the healer classes and the root of all restorative skills. Although it grants HP restoration, it is known for its poor mana efficiency compared to other healing skills, barrier skills and reactive activation skills, thus putting this on low priority amongst healing skills. Beginners often look at healers based on how much HP this skill heals, causing some to be called second-rate or third-rate healers. That said, truly useless healers are out of the question, since most are at least competent in using restorative magic. When this skill is used, the caster is surrounded by a hazy warm light, and the chosen target is showered down with particles of light. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown. If used by a non-healer class, the cooldown is 5 seconds.
Cardinal Rose: Tier 1. A skill that distinguishes a character's ability to be a good navigator. It is a toggle skill that uses a negligible amount of mana when it is activated, causing an icon of a compass to appear in the bottom right corner of the character's vision. As long as this skill is active, the character will always know which direction is north. This skill is particularly effective when exploring in uncharted territory.
Level 4 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 4.
Level 7 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 7.

Level 25 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 25.
Level 28 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 28.
Level 31 Tier II Skill: A skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. The skill may be either a Tier I or II skill. Unlocked at Level 31.
Roleplay Class: Courtesan
Allure: A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels.
Crafting Class: Scribe
Transcription:Scribes are known for their ability to copy and examine documents carefully. This allows them to obtain the Adventurer skill [Mythic Script] as a Beginner-level skill without it taking up a skill slot. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. If the character can already use grimoires through racial or class bonuses, grimoire damage increases by 10%.
