[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]EGLANTYNE [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Eglantine Seraphina Brown, née Price [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 30 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: milia storck, SHIEI NO SONA NYL: WHAT BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Bellona [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Eglantyne is what the real Eglantine looked like in her mid-twenties. Standing with her back straight at 5"10', she was tall and long limbed, slim yet soft—in a word, graceful. She was brought up to always be presentable and continues doing so within the Elder Tales world, thus she prefers to dress in modern 19th century fashion and wore dresses and skirts whenever possible, but does not hesitate to wear trousers when it was necessary. Her hair, face, hands, and feet are always perfectly groomed, and she could have been a runway model if not for her own desire not to pursue such a career. The main difference between a twenty-six year old Eglantine and her avatar is the shade of azure she'd picked out for her waist-length hair and eyes. Eglantyne always has the same faintly sad and amused expression on her face, characterized by slightly narrowed eyes and a small smile. She looks like the type of person who enjoys life and is never in a hurry, but when she sets a task for herself, doesn't slow until it is done. For the most part, Eglantyne acts like the perfect married lady, but those individuals who were more perceptive than most are likely to sense that she had a secret to hide. Other details of Eglantyne's appearance: she favors classical colors like ivory and cream or ivy green and maroon, and considers black and gold too flashy. Her accessories of choice are a black lace choker, a beaded necklace with a large metal ring pendant, and fresh roses over her left ear. Eglantyne has grown so used to the way she dresses that she tends to don tailored pieces even in private. She is also one of those women who has worn high heels consistently for so long that walking without them has become painful. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Recent history aside, Eglantine is a difficult combination of a romantic and an achiever. She is very easily taken in by emotions and plights of mercy but is aware of this fault, and as such, uses reasoning to make most of her decisions. While she appears to be old-fashioned, Eglantine is actually quite liberal and is unafraid of new ideas, though her caution against sentiment requires her to be thorough in exploring them. Eglantine enjoys making social connections and bonding with people as much as she does reading books and knitting. She is affectionate and very community oriented, her concern usually earning her mother hen status. As a slightly older person than most of the Adventurers, she has little patience for indecision. She greets conflict with a smile and does not shy away from it, but neither will she deign to suffer its presence if it could simply be banished by taking initiative. She is humble in her own way and does not consider age a quality that defines one’s position in the social hierarchy, valuing attitude and knowledge instead. Eglantine does not like to waste time, but neither does she think that enjoying life is not essential. She takes a hands-on approach to everything, partly because she has an active mind and is always eager to learn. If Eglantine had to choose one weakness, it would be her tendency to overthink things. After she was widowed, Eglantine has been irrational. While she maintains a genuinely happy expression in public, she occasionally slips into reveries and seeks affection in the wrong places. She is most herself when she has work to do and people around. That said, she is resistant to making genuine connections and focuses instead on improving the social tension around her. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Eglantine Price was born in England and grew up with twelve brothers and sisters, a mix of blood relations and adopted ones, but all of whom were older than her. She had been hardworking and sincere ever since she was a small girl. In school she worked hard to be in the top of the class, though learning was equally as important as her record. She worked to maintain good relationships with her peers, both because of the advantages of doing so, and because she felt it was the right thing to do. Eglantine was not popular in the traditional sense as she was too much of a teacher’s pet and not enough of a party girl, but she was lucky enough not to be bullied growing up and eventually completed tertiary education with honors and her thirst for knowledge intact. After graduating, she travelled for a year before she entered the family business along with her other siblings. When she was twenty six, she got involved with a married man. His first wife died a year into the relationship, and by the end of the second, they had married. Eglantine and her husband loved children, but they were both incapable of producing one of their own. As such, they became involved with the UK’s foster care system and happily dealt with whoever fell into their care. For two years, they were happy. In the year of the Catastrophe, one month before her husband’s birthday, a man claiming to be an old friend asked for their details. Her brother-in-law confirmed he knew the name, and she gave him their address, along with an invite to her husband’s birthday party. They were to have dinner out with the family and a close circle of friends, but decided at the last minute to delay the celebration because one of their kids had fallen ill. They discovered the so-called friend on their return, robbing them blind. There was a struggle where both she and her husband sustained grave injuries and were sent to the hospital, but he passed away after a few days in a coma. Her family had come to the rescue magnificently, taking care of her kids until another home could be found for them, and taking shifts to keep her company. It was one of her youngest brothers who suggested she try out Elder Tales to take her mind off of things, and he had been dozing off in his chair when the Catastrophe hit. This summons an Alraune, a toddler-sized sprite resembling a girl made from flower petals. Alraunes usually perform a passive support role by placing pollen and powder onto targets to slow down their movement speed. However, they can also use this trait for an offensive support use by attacking the opponent and manually placing these spores on them. If enough spores are placed on a target, they may even be stunned for a few moments. The Alraune's offensive powers are very lacking, though, so a tank will usually be necessary if one were to go this route. [attr="class","skill"]Cure Bloom: Tier I Druid Skill A low-base healing ability that releases a thin pink mist with the fragrance of flowers. Its quick casting speed and low cooldown makes it a very utility skill for keeping up dedicated healing on a party member. The aesthetic effect also makes it a nice ability to have when cleaning a room, too! [attr="class","skill"]Earthbeat Healing: Tier I Druid Skill Heartbeat Healing, in the form of a full party regeneration ability. It covers the target in a sparkling blue light. Understandably, it has a longer cooldown and a slightly lower efficiency than its single-target counterpart. However, it can be stacked with Heartbeat Healing to create a steady rate of healing over time. Be careful, as this skill attracts a high amount of aggro from opponents. [attr="class","skill"]Flameburst: Tier I Druid Skill This skill involves the Druid thrusting forward the spell. Then after a second's cast time, an attack resembling a flamethrower is fired forward in a cone-shaped pattern. Enemies in the flame radius are scorched, causing their HP to gradually decrease every few seconds for about ten seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heartbeat Healing: Tier I Druid Skill One of the Druid's signature healing spells, Heartbeat Healing is a spell that covers the target in a sparkling green light and delivers gradual HP regeneration to the target every few seconds. It is the primary and most potent spell of the healing core, with many other healing spells rotated in between. [attr="class","skill"]Nature Revive: Tier I Druid Skill A revival skill on par with the Cleric's Resurrection skills. It can only be used if the target has only been incapacitated within the last 10 seconds. This skill will bath the target in blue light and resurrect them with low HP. There is also a slow HP regeneration effect upon revive. The only downside to this ability is that a target cannot be revived again by this skill for two minutes, so the party should quickly support them back up to a safe state as soon as possible. [attr="class","skill"]Negotiation: 1st Accountant Skill Passive skill. Using their powers of negotiation, an accountant is able to bargain prices in order to save their much-needed funds. An accountant pays 10% less Gold when renting guild halls, purchasing buildings, and hiring NPCs. This bonus extends to their guild, but Negotiation does not stack regardless of other Accountants in the guild. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: 1st Blacksmith Skill Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Leather Armor. A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Halberd. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Halberd. A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
