Saiph lingered in the square where the Sages were for a bit longer before he left and headed to the Thames Coastline. He had hoped on asking the Sages a few questions regarding what they had told him before walking off. For example, he had no idea who or what Alves were or even how long ago they existed. He recalled hearing about them during the very brief time he had played Elder Tales before, but lore was never his thing so he didn’t go deep into the history… which was rather ironic considering that he was a Half-Alv.
Saiph briefly thought back to his encounter with Sayha. She probably knew exactly who they were and when they existed. He wouldn’t doubt that she knew a lot more about the lore than she ever let on… or at least that was his impression. They had met… the year before? It was right before Sayha had begun leveling and when Saiph was still building up his information network. Though one thing Saiph never thought about doing was networking with scribes or people who knew lore… Or had he… he didn’t remember.
The walk to the Thames Coastline took longer than Saiph thought it would. It was technically connected to Londinium but it also wasn’t part of the city. He had never bothered to go to the coastline since the Windsor Greatwood was a better place to hunt than the Thames Marshland that covered the northern area of the Coastline.
Once he did reach, Saiph realized that he had no idea what he was looking for. The Sage had mentioned fragments, but what kind of fragments? A piece of crystal would take forever to locate… but then he remembered the Rod. He pulled the Rod out of his inventory and studied it. To Saiph, it looked kind of… pathetic honestly. It was nothing more than a twig with a few small green leaves in full growth… Though looks weren’t everything. Saiph could feel the magic or mana pulsating from the twig; he wasn’t quite sure which of the two it was though. Maybe he would be able to tell honing his skills more, but that wasn’t his problem at the moment.
