[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]SANCTUS [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Sanctus Diem Somnia (formerly Sanctus Notturno) [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: N/A [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 28 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Ein, RIVIERA: THE PROMISED LAND [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Person of the Land [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Sanctus’s appearance is, put simply, despite his age, he has the looks of a teenage boy. He has no birthmarks, tattoos or scars, but he has a large injury on his back. For his age of 28, he is somewhat thin and only with the height of 168 cm (5’6”) and the weight of 61 kg (134 lbs). His eyes are black and rounded, the color matching his hair. He has black hair, and of course, it is cut short. He doesn’t mind clothing, but he is always seen with a white scarf, whether it is hot or cold, he always has it. He is fine and doesn’t have any disabilities. It depends on him on his walking posture, if he’s fine, then he would walk okay and relaxed; if angry, he walks fast, along with stomping his feet. He doesn’t really have anything on his appearance to fit his personality. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Sanctus is very sociable, and he likes making friends with people. But he isn’t the type of extravert who keeps asking questions until he gets answered… if his friend doesn’t want to reveal information, he just lets it go and he thinks that maybe someday he’ll know what it is. He observes something first before saying a thing, because he doesn’t like to be thought of as “stupid”. When he handles situations, he thinks of what the people that are involved in the situation would feel, and how would it affect his reputation if he did the things that are not right for them. He likes to like to convey to others that they want to feel in control of his way of life, making clear decisions and organizing plans carefully. Sure, everyone can lie, and Sanctus is no exception, but he is honest most of the time, and to him, honesty is very important, though that actually depends on the circumstances. He is really unsure if he can trust a person or not. most likely, he is trusting, but due to thinking that too much trust can lead into trouble, he might not be trusting at times. If there’s a person who he doesn’t know that much, he is willing to know them. But as said before, if that person has no intention of revealing something, he just lets them go. It doesn’t really matter if Sanctus is in a small or large group, but he doesn’t have much leadership skills, so he prefers being the follower. And he still has his doubts if the orders given to him are right or wrong. Of course, he would do the right things, but he isn’t much sure about how to handle the “wrong” orders. He is a loving person, he loves his family, friends, his teammates, and others he care about. He isn’t sure about his acquaintances and rivals, but he would despise and dislike his enemies, of course. Sanctus doesn’t mind being involved in a competition, but it actually depends on how important it is. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Prior to beginning his adventures, Sanctus was born into a small family with his parents and his elder sister, Armonia. He had a simple but happy life, and when he and his sister were little, they played games inspired by fantasy and adventure. With this, the two wanted to grow up like fighting warriors. Their parents would put them to sleep by telling them stories, like how some parents put their children to sleep. It was just a peaceful life… … But when Sanctus was around 17, his parents died due to their whole house burning and that they didn’t manage to escape in time, and shortly after the fire, Armonia is missing for an unknown reason. He was then fostered by a family of bards, woodcrafters, and scholars introducing him to what music, woodcrafting and scholarship is. But he would reminisce the events of he and his sister and parents… Later on, Sanctus’s foster family died of murder, but he managed to escape from the house to keep himself from getting killed. Even if he survived, he kind of blames himself for letting his foster family get murdered. And because of that, he leaves his home. Now, he’s a traveling bard, searching for people for his inspirations on songs, and searching for his sister who’s missing… but actually, he’s got more reasons than that… [attr="class","h3"]statistics and inventory [attr="class","b"] [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi6"]RACE: Human [attr="class","bi6"]CLASS: Bard [attr="class","bi6"]MAIN CLASS LEVEL: 10 [attr="class","bi6"]CRAFTING SUBCLASS: Artisan [attr="class","bi6"]CRAFTING SUBCLASS LEVEL: 8 [attr="class","bi6"]RP SUBCLASS: Scholar [attr="class","bi6"]RP SUBCLASS LEVEL: 6 [attr="class","h3"]Skills [attr="class","b"] MAIN CLASS SKILLS Ballad of the Gullible Snail, Tier I Bard Skill: Andante skill. A song that causes the very atmosphere itself to appear lethargic for the enemy. It generates a moderate amount of aggro on the Bard, so one must be careful on the timing of this skill. On use, a distorted spiral effect will appear around a target, affecting up to 10 enemies within 10 meters of the Bard. Affected enemies have their movement speed reduced by 50% and animation times increased by 1 second. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a debuff duration of 20 seconds, and a cooldown of 45 seconds. Battle Tempo effect: While in Andante/Adagio, the casting time is reduced to 2 seconds and the duration is increased to 30 seconds. Lullaby of the Moonlit Mermaid, Tier I Bard Skill: Andante skill. A support song that has a mild area of effect range. One key concept to remember is that depending on the difference between the Bard and the enemy's level, it will take some time before the target succumbs to the skill. When used, an aqua-blue ripple effect will occur and an image of a singing mermaid will appear over the head of the caster. Popular uses for this skill involve a sleep lock, a sequence in which the target is put to sleep, followed by the Bard's party members aiming their attacks all at the same time, which is then followed by a recasting of other sleep skills to initiate a relapse. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds. Battle Tempo effect: While in Andante, this skill has a cooldown of 20 seconds. While in Adagio, this skill has a cooldown of 15 seconds. Phantom Ensemble, Tier I Bard Skill: Untempoed skill. The user plays an oppressive song that generates an air current from the musical instrument, which blows up to a radius of 1.5 meters from the bard. The closer an opponent gets within the radius, the stronger the wind is and the more likely they would be blown away unless they are strong enough to withstand the effect. Most moderately-sized enemies wind up being knocked back about 3 meters by this skill's effect. Continuously using this skill drains MP at an extremely fast rate, so it's best used only as an emergency defense. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds the moment it is interrupted. Battle Tempo effect: While in Andante/Adagio, MP is drained more slowly so this skill can be sustained longer. While in Allegro/Presto, the knockback effect is doubled. Dischord, Tier I Bard Skill: Allegro skill. A skill that utilizes the pent-up vibrations accumulated in the musical instrument and harnesses it in order to strike the foe with sound waves produced by constructive interference. It is casted by shaking the musical instrument for a few seconds and then hitting the opponent with the instrument within 10 seconds. An enemy hit by the musical instrument at this moment is left highly disoriented, reducing all of their stats by 10% for 5 seconds. This debuff does not stack. This skill has an casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. Battle Tempo effect: While in Allegro/Presto, the debuff duration is increased to 10 seconds. While in Presto, the target's stats are further reduced by an additional 5%. Resonance Beat, Tier I Bard Skill: Allegro skill. The Bard imbues a tune onto a weapon that allows the weapon to cause a shockwave on impact with the target's body. From this point on, the remnant shockwave remains on the target's body and acts like a time bomb ready to be set off by another attack. If the target is struck by an attack while Resonance Beat is still active, they suffer an increased amount of damage on the second blow. It is such that Bards who use percussion instruments and repeatedly use Resonance Beat are called "Drummers" or "Taiko masters". This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. Battle Tempo effect: While in Allegro/Presto, the effect of Resonance Beat's second blow knocks down the target. Scarlet Symphony, Tier I Bard Skill: Allegro skill. The Bard plays a song as a menacing red mist starts to form around them. Then, after two seconds, the Bard's mana mixes with the aura to create blood-red blades that swirl around the Bard in a small circle of a meter in radius. Opponents struck by the skill suffer a bleeding damage over time debuff. This skill has a minimum casting time of 2 seconds. The cooldown of this skill is 5 seconds, and it applies as soon as the Bard stops playing their instrument. Battle Tempo effect: While in Presto, the range of Scarlet Symphony doubles. CRAFTING CLASS SKILLS Carving, Level 1 Artisan Skill: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. RP SUBCLASS SKILLS Evaluate. Level 1 Scholar Skill: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment / Inventory [attr="class","b"] EQUIPMENT: Harp of Diem Somnia: Level 10 Harp. One of the harps belonging to the Diem Somnia family. As a bard of the Diem Somnia family, Sanctus has this harp wherever he goes. It is a really nice harp, though it isn’t really a powerful one. Sanctus’s Clothing: Level 8 Cloth Armor. The clothing that Sanctus usually wears along with his White Scarf. White Scarf: Level 5 Accessory. A scarf that Sanctus always wears. It was a scarf made by his foster mother, and since it was given to him, he always wears this. Yes, even if the season is hot, he has this worn… [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] - Dominant Hand: Ambidextrous - Blood Type: B+ Trivia: - "Sanctus" means "Ghost" or "Holy" in Latin. - "Diem" means "Day", also in Latin. - "Somnia" means "Dream", still in Latin. *sigh* - "Notturno" means "Night", now in Italian. (yeah, yay me) Bit of Notes: Alright, this is the last character with a Riviera: The Promised Land Faceclaim I will ever have. After that, no more. And also going to be my first and last and only NPC, no exceptions, and also the last character I will ever make. Done deal. (yeah, I just have to remind you all... sorry about that.) And I tried with the backstory... |
