[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Ryosuke [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Alex Reed [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: Twenty-two [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Kisuke Urahara, BLEACH [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Ryosuke [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Ryosuke possesses a different amount of colors about his body in some ways that are most unorthodox and unnatural while in others they are quite natural. His hair is blonde and glossy, possessing a fine feel to it in ways most abnormal to the very awareness of the wear on his body. Skin possessing a chalky color to it in his paled form of tone as opposed to others of his family of gamers as their skin is dark and ebony in detail. The colors from this are also eminent in his blue eyes of very gripping proportions, proposing the natural idea that he cares little for most of what is around him. This is untrue of course but these are the colors to what exactly he appears as given his hair atop his head in a messy atmosphere. His face his gentle, actually his entire appearance is structured around being gentle given his height can be at most times very daunting. The body structure being quite lithe in its ways that aren't abnormal while muscles are still under all the skin. The scraggly hair for a scruffy beard also is something of a shaggy appearance but it is still there and only makes him appear that much more wholesome. The face possesses an appearance of some bizarre item on display. There is the oddity of which Ryosuke possesses a rather pleasant welcoming appearance. His eyes small, narrow, and at the same instance they are quite formative with a bit of curiosity to the face. The body possesses a few marks, each one hosting a different continuum to them that provides an oddity in and of itself to the same regard. The first is the scar that runs from the corner of his right shoulder downwards in a vertical line from there to his hip, a scar that hosts a very pink hue to it. This scar was one he received from his first battle side medical emergency in real life that he put on his avatar. The next being an electrical scar tissue found directly three inches left of his lower back's center, also known as the sweet spot, as this is where Ryosuke took a nasty slash with an electrical blade many years ago. The number of scars will surely increase as his days as a medic are not ended yet. He was certain to bring all of these scars over into the game world, each one shaded in an odd color as he chose the race of the rituals, making his scars florescent in their color to a rather acidic green color. These markings he will tell anyone that asks, it just is his way of doing things. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]This individual possesses a persona that is almost unorthodox in the makings and mannerisms of what one can expect. Ryosuke possesses an innate prospect of a code of chivalry, a chivalry that has led his life on to becoming quite the prospective medic. His nature of upholding the most elegant of rules on life were most necessary for him to follow in his line of work. Protect the innocent at any cost, and due to the need of any cost his reasoning may well be locked in every manner of being. This nature projects itself though, his ideal destiny of helping others aided and lead to succumbing to the needs of protection. He is that last one for his incessant need for wanting to heal right in the middle of a battle. He is well trained in verses of self-protection but also the preservation of those around him. Now knowing his code of conduct and following suit the nature of his outer shell, all which is left is the way he treats others. That is the matter of high discussion as it depends greatly upon individual; however, needless to say he treats them equally and with good reverence. Loyalty to his friends is met with loyalty to the individuals, whereas betrayers are then obliged to be betrayed by his slip of medical hand. The arts and natures of the other individuals however comes up shy in some regards, the most notable being where guilds are against another guild. Ryosuke bares and holds no grudges on those of other alliances unless they turn on him or a guild he is apart of as that sparks the ignition of discord. In times of passion, Ryosuke is a hopeless loss and yet a romantic at that. His idea of romance is candle light, full moons, soft playing music, and all what a generalized public would call a feminized viewpoint. However to him, he enjoys that stuff because of his feline-esquire nature. He can be a bastard at times, cruel and unusual in word and voice to someone he feels love to, but that is like anyone who had gone to high school, hate and love are two sides of the same coin. His natural familiarity of love is to that of females, females who need no checklist to fill to be perfect in his eyes as none can ever be truly perfect as he has come to believe. Moving on, Ryosuke hosts a specific difference from others in terms of friendship, anyone and everyone can be a friend however it is not that easy to become one. Hell, becoming a lover is easier than a friend. He is one with very few friends, for the notice he only possesses two friends to the date. Friends are those that must survive battle of some kind with one's own. He became a healer for that reason and it was to heal others and make them friends on or in the future to the occurrence he was required to heal them upon. Such a stature, friends are those who are also survivors and for that reason they are the only true friends he will make in this day and age. When it comes to his code, there is a line of thought one must undergo with such ideology. With him, there is only so much he can do; after all, he is only human. The seven virtues known are chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility. The verse side being the sins of lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. For the utmost he has humility, diligence, chastity, and kindness mastered. The others being a constant battle on the inside for his own soul. Everyone is not without sin, and to house a virtue only leads to being hosted by sin that much further. In his case: gluttony, greed, and wrath. These are not in the common folk senses, the greed not so much for money and power but greed for knowledge. The gluttony as he is a glutton for punishment rather than just food, and wrath houses his mind for only a few cases, cases that test his patience to higher extremes than he can hold out. Once achieving the position he has now, one can say he has mellowed out on everyone being worthy of being a friend to him. Maybe it is for these things he chose to become a hex bound individual rather than another medic in a video game, perhaps it is the real world that has bored him… Whatever the case he is something opposite of how he used to be, though still a bastard he may be at times. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Alex was a proud student going through colleges and job training for a few different career choices while being a medic for the military. His resounding success was found when he had his very own chance to become a non-destructive testing engineer. He was highly analytical, and it was seen in his many performances within the military combat zones that he was dropped in at. Taking an almost completely gone individual and having such technique at sewing up bodies and mending wounds that it was almost unreal how methodical he was with it. Then came the time for his return trip, he found himself moving back to the other side of the world, away from combat to find a package had been waiting for him. A rather odd one as it was boxed up but he found a few things about it to be very wrong, his fiancé left him… She instead left him this box and in it were a few games but one he never heard of. It was during this time he found himself drowning in sorrow that he dashed himself into the gaming world, to resolve and find what exactly he could do to get his mind off the love he thought he had. It was then everything changed, the cataclysmic events that took place and landed him in a place he never knew existed until it finally swallowed him whole. At first the only thoughts were that it was his punishment for being a lousy love to his fiancé, but eventually he learned that there was no possible way it could be that. Perhaps this was a second chance at living, a second chance at life, a second chance at love, and lastly a second chance to life as we know it. Whatever it was, it was something he did not take for granted nor would he ever, this cataclysm was world and life changing. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]As stated above, his "tattoos" for the ritual race is actually all the battle scars he has from real life made florescent green. |

Especially among the People of the Land, this condition is extremely serious and treated with extreme prejudice. Victims of Corruption may often be forced into solitary isolation until they recover from its effects. Stratford Wardens have been known to execute the most extreme cases for the sake of purity. Corruption reduces over time as characters avoid exposure to Miasma. Starting at three cycles since the last exposure, Corruption is reduced by 5 points each post cycle. The effects of this skill apply to all characters affected by Corruption, even if they are not a Heretic. |
Stage 1 - 10-30. The Miasma is beginning to root itself into one's being. Minor mental and physical symptoms such as headaches or fatigue occur.
Stage 2 - 31-50. At this stage, Miasma Corruption begins to show noticeable physical symptoms such as paleness in skin or cracked fingernails. Regardless, one may still bluff, attributing their condition to other natural causes. The victim suffers stronger lasting mental symptoms.
Stage 3 - 51-75. Hallucinations, delusions, paranoia become commonplace. Physical symptoms include wrinkling of skin, clouded eyes. Affected targets have their Mind debuff resistance decreased by 1 stage. Stage 3 is where Corruption starts to become infectious. Characters at Corruption Stage 3 or higher cause nearby characters' Corruption to increase by 1 each post cycle.
Stage 4 - 76-100. Distinct personality changes and mental instability plague the minds of these subjects. Affected individuals either look weak and decrepid or threatening and zombielike. By this level, Stratford Wardens may exercise individual command in capturing affected subjects. Stage 4 subjects have their Light debuff resistance decreased by 1 stage.
Stage 5 - 101+. The ultimate stage of Corruption. Weak-willed victims lose their minds so long as they are exposed. Extreme personality changes and schiophrenia set in, causing the subject to become a danger to themselves and their surroundings. Moreover, Stage 5 subjects have physically mutated to the point where they only appear vaguely human. Guards are ordered to exercise strict detainment and even lethal force if resisted.[/ul][/div][/div]
[attr="class","skill"]Morphogenesis [Beginner Skill]: Passive. Due to the Heretic's mastery over Miasma, its corrupting influence is slightly more resisted by the magician. When the following Stages are reached by the Heretic, they gain 1 Morphogenesis Point. A Morphogenesis Point can be spent to gain one trait at the character's current Stage. Traits are active until the end of the thread or whenever the character's Corruption Stage drops below a required Stage for the trait to be active. Naturally, a character may only gain up to 5 Morphogenesis Points per thread. Once a Trait is selected, it cannot be changed for the duration of the thread.
[/ul][/div][/div][attr="class","skill"]Painful Potency [Beginner Skill]: Passive. The presence of Miasma looming around the Heretic's body acts somewhat like a magnet to any Psyche energy in the atmosphere, causing mana to diffuse lower toward the ground. This obviously increases the magical potency of the Heretic's party, without any noticeable side effects. All magical damage for the party is increased by 5%. Multiple instances of this skill do not stack.
[attr="class","skill"]Gluttonous Haze [Tier I Skill]: The Heretic casts a spell onto a target, causing a thin black mist to surround their body. As that target deals damage to an enemy, the mist absorbs the Anima that was spilled by the blow and feeds it into the target's body to heal them a small amount. This spell, combined with Tainted Charity, allows the Heretic to take a slightly more support-oriented playstyle. However, keep in mind that the presence of the black aura has been linked to mood swings and aggressive among those affected by it. Gluttonous Haze has a duration of 10 seconds, a 4 second cast time, and a 20 second cooldown. While a target is affected by this skill, their Mind resistance is reduced by 1 stage.
[attr="class","skill"]Miasma Curtain [Tier I Skill]: The Heretic concentrates Miasma in a dispersed form and swings its essence around them, causing a violet mist to materialize and rapidly whip out from the Heretic's body. The Miasma strikes all opponents within 2 meters with dark attribute damage and applies 1 point of Corruption to all affected targets. Miasma Curtain does not damage allies, but will still apply Corruption if they are within range. This skill has a minimum casting time of 2 seconds, a maximum casting time of 5 seconds, and a cooldown of 10 seconds. Miasma Curtain's casting time can be increased in order to deal 10% extra damage and 1 additional point of Corruption per second.
[attr="class","skill"]Shackles of the Sentenced [Tier I Skill]: Miasma takes a tangible form in the shape of violet-black chains which erupt from the ground and wrap around a target. These chains root the enemy in place for 5 seconds. During this time, if the target should be afflicted with any skill that inflicts Corruption, their Corruption is increased by 1 additional point. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds.
[attr="class","skill"]Tainted Charity [Tier I Skill]: Miasma and Anima are two sides of the same coin and so it is no surprise that Miasma can be used to restore the body. This skill heals the target by a small amount. Its animation is fairly deceptive, looking very similarly to the Heal skill. If a target who received healing from Tainted Charity is not healed again by Tainted Charity within 2 minutes, all HP restored by the skill is immediately removed. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown. Tainted Charity inflicts 2 points of Corruption on the target.
[attr="class","skill"]Night Shade [Tier I Skill]: The Heretic creates a barrier gradient that filters incoming light, causing everything under the barrier to look dark from an outside view. Vision under the gradient is greatly reduced, causing everything to look black and white. This barrier reduces the damage of all incoming light attribute attacks by 50% toward any targets inside the boundary. Night Shade has a duration of 10 seconds, a range of 1 meter, a casting time of 5 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds.
[attr="class","skill"]Humoral Stigma [Tier I Skill]: The Heretic infuses an open wound with Miasma. As a natural antagonist to Anima, the energy of life, the Miasma lingers around the wound and prevents it from healing naturally. As such, this is a bleeding debuff curse that causes open wounds to continuously bleed. The target loses HP over time as long as their HP is less than full, or after 2 minutes have passed. The HP loss is fairly little but it adds up over time, much like a poison effect would. If the wounds should somehow be fully healed and HP reaches 100%, however, the curse is expelled. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. A target currently affected by this skill's effect is treated as though their Corruption was increased by 3.
[attr="class","skill"]Timber [Lv 1 Skill]: Toggle skill. Woodcrafters naturally have an affinity for chopping and carving wood, making their abilities key in harming monsters that happen to be arboreal in nature. Woodcrafters deal 20% more damage to Plant-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Plant-type monsters upon a successful hit.
[attr="class","skill"]Outlaw [Lv 1 Skill]: Toggle skill. Gunslingers have an affinity with firearms, allowing them to use firearms without penalty if their main class is normally not able to wield firearms. When Outlaw is toggled, the Gunslinger will see the remaining number of bullets in their current magazine and the total amount of bullets remaining in their inventory, displayed at a corner of their vision. If the firearm is empty and requires reloading, the number will be displayed in red.
