[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]GLACIS RAINMAKER [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Rani Richardson [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 21 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Coco Adel, RWBY [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Rani [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Appearance-wise Rani, and even Glacis really, is an average looking person with an average build, and her online character was customized to look very similar. She has eyes that are just a little big, but also pointed in a way that makes her look mature. Her hair is short and naturally brown with purple tips in the game, but she tends to change things up every so often in terms of hairstyle depending on the season, her feelings, and what she's wearing. Of course the big stars of her looks are the clothes that she wears, allowing her averageness to stand out significantly more. Rani is an absolute fashionista, wanting to be a fashion designer and all, and wears the title proudly and with a confident aura. Though when she is on her own she will most likely be found still in her pajamas, publicly she wears whatever happens to be trendy at the time. This is a feat that she has found to be both harder and easier to accomplish in the world of Elder Tale, since it's harder to get something trending with so many people focusing on other things, but when a trend appears, it stays, also due to people being busy with other things in life. The population is considerably smaller now, after all. Rani will wear most anything that looks good, but when given the choice she is partial to the color blue. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Rani has an extroverted personality that carries over completely to Glacis. She thinks so highly of herself that she feels no need to hide behind an internet persona, and even less now that she lives as Glacis herself. She is a firm believer in growing one's network of friends, and is therefore always up for meeting new people. In a similar way, she is always looking for adventure and new opportunities. After all, she feels that you have to put yourself out there in order to get noticed, and she does indeed strive to get noticed. It's the fashionista in her. Of course, she is a very ambitious and determined person, especially in this new world. If she has work to do, specifically as a tailor, she will prioritize that above adventures, parties, or going out with friends. Rani, and therefore Glacis, is the type of person to live in the now. All her decisions are usually based around what he feels at the moment, which can make her a bit of a hot head sometimes but she is normally pretty chill. Her ambitions require her creativity, which she thinks to be fueled heavily by emotion. She rarely thinks about the future if it's not explicitly told to her, making her chosen subclass of fortuneteller extremely useful. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Ever since she was little, Rani Richardson has loved Clothes. Yes, she's a girl, stereotypes abound, but it was never about looking good for her. She loved the art behind clothing. The time and effort it takes to create a design that fits perfectly around the human body. This is the love that drove her to want to be a fashion designer. She spent much of her time drawing and reading articles and journals, Buying the most fashionable and trendy outfits whenever she was able to afford it. In class she was usually busy doodling designs rather than pay attention, so she was not the greatest of students, but that was the price she chose to pay for chasing her dreams. Of course, such dream chasing was stressful at times, no matter how much she loved it. Once in a while she needed to unwind. That's where Elder Tale comes in. Rani had always been into computer games, but not as much as some other kids. For her it was never an obsession or anything. It was a hobby that she partook in every so often to relax. She liked MMO's specifically because they were social experiences while also being a fun time. So when she heard that the popular Japanese game Elder Tale was making it's way westward, she had decided that it was due time to take another breather and play. Impressed with the advanced customization options, She Made her character: a spunky human with Shaman as her class. Rani liked support classes bet because she always felt needed with them. At the time she had decided to try out the game and choose any subclasses later. That was when everything went... weird. Suddenly she woke up with thousands of other people, looking just like her character, Glacis Rainmaker, though this change in appearance was not far off from what she looked like in real life. She was adorned in the awkward starter Shaman wear from the game, and found herself holding a strange wooden staff. She was confused. No, confused was not the right word to describe what she felt. Her mind had a meltdown trying to process what was happening with no success, and she couldn't recover from it for many days. She wandered around aimlessly, eating the flavorless food without thinking, sleeping whenever she felt tired, wherever she was, never leaving the main area she had started in and so never finding herself in real danger. She had no motivation, no drive, as she struggled to understand or at least get used to this new world around her until one day it clicked. It happened suddenly. She realized that she was getting nowhere like this. all around her there were people going out there and making something of themselves and she needed to be one of them. New world? why not make it her own? After all, all these default game clothes needed to be spruced up. She became a Tailor and chose Fortunetelling as her subclass, wanting to know the future trends before they happened. Watch out Elder Tale, your world is about to meet Glacis Rainmaker. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]Since Glacis knows exactly who she is and who she wants to be, her Shikigami looks similar to her in style: img1.ak.crunchyroll.com/i/spire3/90649b8b5935ba566c08e7b754d20eab1267223322_large.jpg (Not depicted: The Shikigami, Aquae, has a wolf's Tail.) A little caffeine never hurt anyone. |

Upon hostile contact with the barrier, both the target and the hostile are tossed in separate directions. Any damage from the attack still lands. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Damage Interception: Tier I Skill A barrier skill known as the signature move of the Shaman. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heal: Tier I Skill The most fundamental HP recovery magic of the healer classes and the root of all restorative skills. Although it grants HP restoration, it is known for its poor mana efficiency compared to other healing skills, barrier skills and reactive activation skills, thus putting this on low priority amongst healing skills. Beginners often look at healers based on how much HP this skill heals, causing some to be called second-rate or third-rate healers. That said, truly useless healers are out of the question, since most are at least competent in using restorative magic. When this skill is used, the caster is surrounded by a hazy warm light, and the chosen target is showered down with particles of light. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown. If used by a non-healer class, the cooldown is 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Reactive Barrier: Tier I Skill The shaman creates a reflective stationary barrier. Melee attacks that pass through the barrier during contact have their momentum reduced and offensive magic is partially returned to the enemy's direction. Essentially, this skill works as a filter. The target behind the barrier will still take most of the damage received, so it's not an absolute barrier. Ranged attacks and non-offensive magic will still affect the target normally, however. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hybrid Barrier: Tier I Skill A Barrier skill that allows for the caster to combine two barrier styles together for a hybrid effect. This allows for a Shaman to stack more barriers onto a single target in a shorter timespan. When this skill is used, two other Barrier skills can be cast at the same time onto a single target. The duration of the two barriers become the average of their maximum durations. This skill has an instant casting time and triggers a global cooldown of 1 second. [attr="class","skill"]Purifying Barrier: Tier I Skill A barrier of purifying quality designed to ward off debuffs and other debilitating conditions. Unfortunately, upon absorbing the harmful buff it vanishes entirely and its protection leaves with it. Casting this skill on a target that is already under a debuff will not remove the current debuff but rather protect the target from the next one. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and no cooldown time. [attr="class","skill"]Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Prediction: The fortuneteller is able to see into the future and predict certain situations. This skill allows them to survey an area of radius 5 meters from their current position. All monsters that will spawn within the next 5 minutes will appear as semi-transparent figures with timers above their heads showing their spawn time. This information is only visible to the Fortuneteller. While some Fortunetellers use this as a way to avoid trouble, there's been a number of field boss hunters who like to have one with them so that they can predict the incoming monster and make preparations. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Chainmail: A basic set of chainmail armor made from cheap iron. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Staff: A two-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is typically used to channel magic, but can also be used to whack people on the side of the head. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: "" [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: Leave blank [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"]Snickerdoodle Plush (Level 1): A cheaply made plush item in the image of a snickerdoodle cookie. |
