[attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Oliver has very fair and feminine features to the point of androgyny. Despite trying his whole life to break away from his feminine build he's been cursed with a seemingly unchanging body that refuses all efforts at attaining some form of masculinity. It doesn't help that he has exceptionally olive-tan skin that is almost uncanny in how blemish free and smooth it is. His warm brown hair reaches down past his shoulders and is kept meticulously and immaculately clean. Usually his hair is worn with a fashionable side braid that does a good job of keeping the full length of his hair hidden. He has vibrant olivine colored eyes that seem to hold a certain loneliness to them. If you stared at his eyes for long you'd feel something inside your soul just deflate and be crushed by the loneliness they exude. Oliver's feminine features don't just extend to his face but his whole body shape. If you actually saw him naked from the back or with form flattering clothing you'd swear he was a girl from how his body is shaped. His form is very slender and petite; he has womanly curves. Yet, despite this, there's a strength to him. He's been involved with athletics from a young age and despite his graceful form there's a lot of lean muscle to his body that you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at him. Even still he only weighs just over 100lbs and is only 5'0" tall. Oliver designed his Elder Tale avatar to look almost exactly like he does in real life with the only noticeable differences being that his pupils look almost slit like in the right light and he has a seafoam green Half-Alv mark on his tongue. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Quiet, withdrawn, and incredibly shy; Oliver, has a very introverted and docile personality. He's very respectful and calm, never quick to anger nor to make a rash decision. He always thinks things through to the best of his ability. He is also somewhat meek though not to the point of being spineless. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and would prefer to do good instead of harm others. However that doesn't mean he's a push over, far from it in fact. He hides a steel like strength bellow the surface which allows him to remain firm against adversity. Once he sets his mind on something its hard to sway him from that course. Even if he comes off as mousy initially there's a surprising amount of bite to this boy. Despite being painfully shy around strangers and those he isn't entirely familiar with, around friends he's very open and jovial; to an extent. Even in gatherings of fellows he tends to shy away if the group is too large. He has trouble with large crowds and prefers smaller groups. He's loyal like a dog to those whom he calls friend. Oliver's personality only serves to highlight how freakishly feminine he is. Combined with his looks it becomes increasingly hard to believe he's actually a boy. This only gets exacerbated by the fact he enjoys cooking, cleaning, and other traditionally feminine hobbies. A lot of his friends have joked that he's destined to be the Ultimate House Husband, a notion that embarrasses him greatly. Though his subclasses in Elder Tale show that he does take some pride in these hobbies. |

From the earliest stages of his life, when he first became aware of himself, Oliver always felt like he was out of place. His father and step-mother were a very traditional family and he grew up in a house with a very strict and rigid upbringing. From the earliest he could remember that too was something he was aware of. His home life was stifling. Where most kids were expected to play, to grow, to have fun his parents forced his nose into books and forbade him from playing with the other kids his age. His step mother was especially cruel to him in her own way. She spoiled him not out of kindness, but because, even from the age of five, she could tell that he would grow not into a handsome young man but a beautiful one. She treated him like a girl. She treated him like her own personal doll to dress up and play house with. Meanwhile his father only grew to feed his step-mother's insanity while continuing his own rigidity in raising his son. Oliver never really had much of a childhood for that reason. He was ether forced into being a girl for his mother or being a good little student for his father.
They never let him go to a regular school, insisting to home school him for most of his life. Oliver never got to interact with anyone but his parents. Every night he'd lay awake and wonder why his life was the way it was and why he always felt so strange and out of place. Why was his world so disjointed? It wasn't until he turned twelve that he thought to ask the obvious question. It was something that had been on his mind ever since his father had been upfront about his mom being his step-mother. He had been too scared to ask but on that evening he finally opened his mouth. He asked his dad who his real mother was. For that he earned a beating from his step-mother and was told to forget it and that she was as good as his real mother. His father, for all his faults, was horrified at what his step-mother had done.
Later that night when she was asleep, Oliver and his father left her. It was as if some spell that had taken hold of him had finally been broken and his senses returned. While in the car his father told him the truth about his mother. His mother had been a high profile political consultant whom his father had worked with. The reason why his father was so strict with him was because he wanted to keep him out of the limelight. He had been afraid his son would be bullied if he had been allowed to go to regular school. He wanted him to not fall behind in academics and so he had pushed him without really knowing how hard of an effect it had had on him. He apologized and told him that he was going to take him to see his real mother. Later that week Oliver would learn the truth of why his father would have ever gotten with a shrew of a woman like his step mother.
Oliver's father took him to an isolated and small graveyard far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. His father took him to his mother's grave. He told him that his mother was very ill when they had met. He was already married to the woman Oliver knew as his step-mother. His mother was special and she made him happy. Despite being a married man he had fallen for her and, well, Oliver happened. However she had been weakened from years and years of illness and the act of childbirth had been too much for her. She passed away but not before making him promise to raise their son for her. Oliver now knew the truth. He asked his father what they were going to do now and his father told him they were going to move from the states back to where he grew up in England. His father had been offered a teaching job and he had kept it secret from his wife. His father and step-mother divorced and the two of them moved to England where Oliver enrolled in the private school where his father taught. It was here that Oliver learned about Elder Tale.
Video games had been something unheard of to him thanks to his upbringing but a few of his friends had been talking about the popular MMO and it intrigued him. They had been bipassing the region lock to play on the Japanese server and, after asking about it, Oliver joined their group. Originally he played as a guardian but made a new assassin character when their raiding group needed a new dpser. It was a lot of fun and he enjoyed playing with them; even making new friends in half the world way. When the Unfounded Kingdom was announced he was stoked to play Elder Tale without having to use nefarious methods to bypass the region lock. He was looking forward to starting fresh and playing as a samurai (wanting to incorporate bits of both classes he played as).
The day came, he created his character, logged in and...
...and then the catastrophe happened.
It was frightening. He watched his friends turn on each other. Most of the people he had known for three years now turned violent and participated in the slaughter. It was madness. Eventually, when the city guardians showed up, he had enough and did what he could to help them without violating their own rules. He couldn't physically attack another player without triggering the guardians himself but he could do other things. He helped some of the younger landers vacate the area whenever the guardians showed up. They didn't need to see the PKing or the guardians killing the other adventurers. He also just in general tried to be useful. Eventually though it became clear to him that Londinium was a mess. It was time to move on. He needed to get stronger and make the trek out from the starting city towards Startford. Maybe, just maybe, the castrophe hadn't reached that far and he could among the first adventurers in this new world to make it there and set a better impression than the adventurers had in Londinium.

Ace Move: Denkosekka (Lightspeed) - Tier 1 - Chain 1 Defensive. Starts or resets the current Chain. The activation of Denkosekka covers the samurai in a electrifying aura, raising the user's movement speed. This aura is also used as a makeshift barrier that can absorb some damage from a single hit before dissipating. However, the samurai must be sure not to stray too far from their party while this ace move is active, lest they risk collapsing the party formation. This skill has a maximum duration of 15 seconds and a cooldown of 25 seconds.
Ace Move: Izuna-giri (Vacuum Slash) - Tier 1 - Chain 2 Offensive. Usable after Chain 1 skills. Izunagiri is performed using a overhead slash, creating a vacuum air blade to be shot directly forward and strike enemies. The concept is also available toward bow use as well, engulfing the arrows in a wind current that allows for additional piercing damage. This attack is notably one of the few Samurai skills that can strike from long range for melee fighters. This skill's attribute is wind, has an animation time of 2 seconds, and a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Ace Move: Tsurugi Bunshin (Blade Mirage) - Tier 1 - Chain 3 Offensive. Usable after Chain 2 skills. The user channels their mana in order to create a trailing afterimage that follows their every movement for 10 seconds. Every time the user performs an attack, the afterimage causes the attacking animation to persist about an extra second after the attack was launched. In the case of a ranged attack from a bow, an afterimage will trail behind the first arrow and cause two arrows to apparently be shot. Because of this effect, a target is not only hit once by a basic attack, but twice. As such, performing this Ace move prevents the user from using any other skills until the effect has worn off. This skill has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
