Guardian - Cavalier - Blacksmith ____________________________________________________ Placidity draped across the cherry blossom haired woman's face as her fork shook violently within her eggs. An anxious sigh escaped her lips as her eyes tensed, gazing down at her fake meal. Her veil of security was shattering as she sniffled, placing the false conception of food against her tongue. The burst of bland salt did little to comfort her as the wolf hair rested her forehead atop her wrist. As depression set in, she shook her head with grief.
"What the hell is going on with this world...?" She exhaled as she opened her menu and an illuminated screen expanded in front of her.
A slender finger pressed against the logout button as she gazed grimly at the rejection of serenity from the menu's refusal to set her free.
Several days had passed and still nothing. Trapped and insecure, she was alone in a world foreign to her. The things that felt familiar to her like a pent house suite, luxury meals and the finest decorum; they were becoming a fleeting memory.
"I just want to go home..." She muttered in a grieved whisper, her index finger striking her vibrant brow. Sapphire eyes lingered over her reflection in her cheaply crafted platemail.
"Oh, look at me, I look a mess..." Saskia sniffled while mustering a faint smile as she wiped away the tears that cascaded down her face.
She looked through her inventory on the menu in dissatisfaction. She hadn't had very much money and was unable to afford to stay at the inn the nights prior.
"I can't sleep on cold ground another night..." Saskia muttered to herself, her eyes going back to the screen. "And I've run out of money for food..."
She had been reluctant to leave the city in her state of paranoia and fear. The possibility of death was a undesirable fate and their was still too much unknown about this world.
As she rose from the table, she walked to where a group of adventurers gathered around a quest board.
"Well, time to not be so broke, busted, and disgusted!" Saskia cheered with a look that held determination, fear, and yet held hope.
One quest in particular stood out to her, it was a quest about hunting down some slimes in a mine. Saskia raised a quizzical brow.
"What's a....slime?" She grimaced as she kept reading through. "Looks like I'll have to fight them.."
Saskia opened her inventory and equipped her poorly crafted spear and shield. She never even used them before and her nerves were starting to get the best of her.
"Oh, I don't even know where to begin...how'd I let Lacey talk me into playing these video games..." Saskia stated as she gazed around the crowd. "I wonder if any of these guys actually have an idea what they are doing..."

[attr="class","solcap"] That all too familiar and unwelcome sensation of suffocation was back. Constance sat with her back hunched and arms wrapped tightly around her legs, her chin resting on her knees. Thick, long strands of black hair fell across her face, though not enough to cover the golden eyes beneath. Her skin was paler than normal, and if one were to pry her jaw apart, they would see a set of sharp fangs. The ears of her people were thankfully flattened against her skull and too well meshed with her hair to be noticed. The only thing she was missing right now was a tail, but she wasn't that far gone off the deep end.
She was fine in the beginning, back when the shock had yet to fully set in. Constance told herself that it was only a fluke. She'd go to sleep and wake up, slumped over her desk; that whatever force was responsible for putting them here would be reversed. Yet as time went by and by, it became clear that she would be here far longer than anticipated, and without a single ally to her name. It was hard not to be homesick and grumpy, especially when your faithful companion was a yappy little pet.
The mini-Fenrir was running around, trying its damnedest to…what? Cheer her up? Demand she play with it? Constance gave the whelp a half-hearted growl. What she didn't expect was the lack of humanity in it. It wasn't quite dog level, but it was close enough to spook the pup. It scooted back, emitting high yips of panic. She brushed hair out of her face, sat up, and rose to her feet. Melancholy had a way of finding her even outside of her seasonal episodes, however, it was not safe to mope around in this world. She lacked her own private shelter, for one. And for another…
"Sitting around isn't going to make you feel any better, Constance." An image of her ancient grandmother's scowling face came into mind. She was moodier as a child and would lounge around all day if she could get away with it. To this day, she was still unsure if her grandmother meant well with the cooking lessons, or if she only had profit on the mind.
The pup whined in protest at being seized by the scruff of his neck, stubby little legs kicking in protest. A few people gave her looks of disapproval; why, she could not tell. It wasn't like the pup was actually alive or anything. They were all a bunch of pixels, incapable of actually dying, from what she'd observed. If someone died, they'd just rematerialize elsewhere. It was up for debate with monsters, but little guys like the mini-Fenrir could reappear in your inventory.
She eventually transitioned the pup into one arm, using the other to readjust her hair and smooth wrinkles out of her clothing. This world was doing a good job of making her feel "filthy" in all the wrong ways. The lack of technology was killing her, and having to bathe like a wild animal in streams was embarrassing. And the food was an insult to her and the family business. There was no taste to any of it -- unless you counted cardboard or wet paper, which she did not. Made her glad she decided against the Chef class. The meals she was capable of making were not as grand as the cooks in the family restaurant, but she'd be humiliated if she tried serving any of the rubbish here to people.
A high pitched yelp of surprise sounded from her elbow. Constance had unknowingly choked the poor pup while lost in reverie. Without looking at the glorified plushie, she reached to rearrange him and paused with her fingertips brushing against his fur. The tips of her ears perked up in tune to the hint of red spilling into her cheeks. How long had she been staring down the fun sized pinkette? Constance instinctively moved to readjust a set of glasses she only wore outside of the game, and nearly poked herself in the eye. A few more seconds of distracted wandering and she would have collided with the shorter woman.
"Sorry, I didn't see you there-- don't I know you from somewhere?" Constance stopped herself before she could poke at the pinkette's hair. She was having a horrible moment akin to déjà vu, though could not place the woman. The avatar vaguely reminded her of someone she just couldn't place, like a celebrity, but she couldn't think of one with that shade of hair. "…Never mind." Leo opened his eyes, with his vision still blurry his mind started working again, eventually forming the one thought he kept having every morning since that fateful day: " Please let this be my home". Half a second later, his eyes adjusted to the morning light and Leo finally discovered with disappointment that he was looking at the same old inn's wooden roof, instead of his cement made apartment's. He stared at the roof in annoyance for a few seconds before yawning and getting up from the bed, stretching his aching muscles while trying to focus his thoughts. One of the worst things in living into a post apocalyptic mmo with medieval like technology was the lack of a comfortable bed, everytime he went to sleep he knew the next day he'd feel like a train passed over him in the night. During those first days Leo didn't really have a schedule: he got up whenever he wanted, looked at the quest board for some interesting jobs, completed his daily dose of questing and grinding, ate the tastless food of the landers when he felt hungry and then he went to bed at one of the local inns. He didn't really have a wide array of things to do so he tried to occupy his time with questing, it was better than waiting doing nothing all day. Leo also figured that trying to raise his level was the smartest thing to do, he needed the strength to survive in this new world full of dangerous monsters. He yawned once again while exiting the inn, Leo wasn't really a morning person but he really couldn't sleep more in that awful bed, not if he wanted to retain his ability to walk straight. The streets were almost desolated and the air was still as heavy as the first day, all the players needed more time to adjust to their new lives and Leo wasn't any different. He kept thinking on the things he was missing in real life and he had a flight back home in a few days he couldn't miss no matter what, not since he treated his family and friends so bad before he left for London. He felt frustrated and powerless, not to mention somewhat lonely. Fortunately in this new world he found a thing he could enjoy, he loved fighting and that served as a nice distraction for his mind filled with questions that couldn't be answered. Absorbed as he was in his thoughts, Leo arrived at the quest board without noticing it, he gave a quick glance at his surroundings and then back to the quest board. Around the plaza were some adventurers and landers, the density was at its highest near the quest board though, and rightly so. Leo sighed in annoyance, the quest board was huge and he didn't want make his way around those many people just to take a quick glance at some paper notes. He looked around and then noticed two girls talking, maybe they already gave a look at the quest board and could point him to an interesting job. As an healthy male in his prime he couldn't help but looking them from head to toe, one of them caught his attention for her impossible hair color, a bright pink while the other girl had, to describe it with an old saying, "booty fo' days". He grunted to remind himself they probably were greasy middle aged men in real life and walked to them. " Hey you two, did you see if there are any interesting jobs?" Leo said to the two girls while pointing the quest board with his thumb. Direct, blunt and with an annoyed/pissed expression, just what was needed to make new friends. Tags: Saskia Eisbaer

Guardian - Cavalier - Blacksmith ____________________________________________________ Insecurity and distress settled in as the pink cotton candy haired woman reviewed the quest notice. As she examined the message board and began reading, a woman collided with her and knocked her a few steps back since her stance was off.
"Oops, sorry." Saskia apologized, although nothing was her fault. She just wasn't in the mood for confrontation. Whether that was because she was too emotional or because she wasn't being attacked by crazed fans remained to be seen. She looked down at her feet, forgetting that her red bottom heels had been replaced by sturdy boots.
She blinked her attention back at the woman as her eyes rose up the girls figure. She seemed to be well toned with great..."assets". Her skin was mystical and pale, yet held alluring qualities in combination with her hair.
"Hm? Know me....oh that's right...my avatar didn't change much from how I look in the real world. You might know me from when I won Britain's got talent or perhaps you've seen a music video or heard one of my songs. I've done concerts all throughout London...or at least...I used to. " Saskia frowned. "Anyways...my name is Hope MacLaren, it's a pleasure to meet you." She beamed with a vibrant smile.
"Your character design looks lovely. I love your hair. You're just fabulous!" She complimented in her soft british accent.
"Do you listen to Pop music at all? Seems like some of the villagers here don't even know what that is...pretty crazy, huh?"
Saskia's small talk was interrupted by another gamer that seemed in a rush to hop into the fray.
"Oh, hey...uhm...well I was thinking about doing that quest to earn some gold...but, well...to be honest, I'm not much of a gamer, I don't know much about where to go or what to do or how to fight...all I do know is...if I don't get any gold soon, I'll be sleeping outside and not have much to eat."
Saskia looked up at the male in front of her. "..But hey, you look like a pretty tough guy, why don't we all go together. I'm sure it won't be hard if we work together. " Saskia smiled. " We're all supposed to have different strengths and weaknesses, right? We got a better shot and making some money if we team up. "
Saskia glanced back at the woman to get a feel for if she were up to join, then noticed her mini-fenrir.
"Oh, wow...that's pretty cool. How did you get one of those? That little guy seems like he'll follow you everywhere!" Saskia smiled. "Pets are fun. I have this horse in the stables nearby. You'll get to meet him soon enough if you both are coming along. "
"Speaking of which...does anyone know the way to these mines?' Saskia looked around, seeking reassurance.

[attr="class","solcap"] ...And now she was certain that she knew the pinkette from somewhere, and not as just another face on the television screen. Not from the talent show for sure; Constance didn't care for reality shows or comedies, for that matter. Dramas, ranging from crime to the absurdity broadcasted on Korean networks held her interest more. And music. Even if she were so unhip as to not have heard of "Cherry Blossom," her niece would be more than happy to fill the gap. The girl damn near screamed her head off when Constance supplied her with the singer's autograph, though left out the part about helping her client with legal troubles. The news and paparazzi did enough of that.
"Yeah I-- wasn't sure at first, since people like to model their characters after celebrities or their favorite characters." She never understood the appeal of doing so, but to each their own. "I don't know if you remember me, or even recognize me like this -- thanks, by the way." She took pride in the design of her avatar, though sometimes regretted it because of the unwelcome attention it drew. "Private investigator Bang? Constance Bang?" One of her ears pulled free from her hair, perked up high like an eager dog greeting its master. She didn't think she'd need to elaborate much; it was a pretty big affair for the other woman at the time.
The mini-Fenrir whined in boredom as the topic shifted to music, but scrambled around at the approach of a man. Constance kept one ear trained on Hope, the other aimed at the man who addressed them. Having an extra set of ears was strange, especially when you couldn't tell if they were cosmetic or actually served a purpose. She couldn't tell if her hearing was determined by one or the other. "Jobs?" Quests, no doubt. Constance did a few on her own, though she could not earnestly call them "interesting." They were simple and lacking in variety.
"I don't mind coming along to quest. I've got nothing better to do, to be frank. And." She eyed the man up and down. He was younger than he for sure, somewhere in his early or mid-twenties. She didn't like the idea of the smaller woman going off alone with him, despite owing her nothing in turn. Former clients only held her interest if they were looking for more business or paid her well. And it being a game was more of an "every man for himself" rule.
But she could really use an ally and one that knew her, if only fleetingly, was a bonus.
In the end, the pup was the one to settle it. He yipped enthusiastically at Hope, tail waggling so fiercely that it repeatedly slapped at Constance's hip. "I know nothing about the mines, unfortunately, but I can't imagine they're too far off." "eeeh?..." Leo thought in the privacy of his mind while looking at the pink haired girl with a puzzled expression. When he asked if there were any interesting leads he didn't expect for the girl to talk about herself and then suddenly invite him, a simple answer like "yes, it's this" or "no there aren't" was all he was expecting.
The other girl accepted quickly her offer and then looked at the man when she stated her reason to join. He didn't like that look, it didn't require a genius to understand that he didn't make a good first impression at all. Fortunately Leo was used to this, so he didn't give it any weight. He knew from experience that his way to approach people wasn't the best, but hey, old habits die hard. Just a few moments after, Leo could swear he heard a puppy in the vicinity, he gave a better look in the direction of that sound and soon found out that the girl with the strange skin color held what looked like a small dog. Leo looked at the pupper with curiosity, since he had a love for dogs he couldn't help but ask himself how that girl got it in the first place, since the catastrophe he didn't even see a wild one in the city.
Leo shook his head and focused his thoughts again on the pink hair girl's offer, it was indeed true that working together they could complete the quest much earlier and easier than going solo, it was also true that mmorpgs are social games and many times their content was aimed at a group, better to start getting a feel of teamwork as early as possible. "I don't mind too, I was going questing anyway." He responded while shrugging lightly. "By the way, I'm Stryke, nice to meet you" Apparently their quest was set in the mines and neither girls knew where that was, truth be told Leo didn't even know there were mines in the vicinity. "Excuse me for a moment." he said to the two girls while eyeing a lander passing nearby, at least he hoped it was a lander from the type of clothing he was wearing. He quickly jogged to his position and asked for directions, then he returned to his party. "The mines shouldn't be far off in that direction, if we follow the road we will arrive without much trouble" He said while pointing in the direction the lander told him. Since no one knew where to go Leo tried to help in his own way, even if deep down he just didn't want to admit his ignorance openly.

Guardian - Cavalier - Blacksmith ____________________________________________________ Saskia squinted her eyes as her ears quivered slightly in partial recognition of the adventurer's voice. It seemed pretty distinct, though she was unsure if her idea of who it belonged to was accurate. She nodded her head in understanding when presented with the idea that other gamers could potentially be impersonating her as their avatar.
"Well, that's a little flattering. I always wondered what it would be like to have a twin." Saskia chuckled. "Recognize you...hmm...how many golden eyed women have I met in my lifetime..." Saskia tapped her index finger on her chin, mimicking being in deep thought as a joking manner.
The armored guardian shook her head in disbelief as the woman revealed her identity. She had a prior professional relationship with the talented Private Investigator during some pre-marital disputes, however, she never thought she would bump into the woman again, especially not on these terms.
"Constance Bang?! Wow, well I definitely would have never pegged you as the gamer sort. You know...with all the case files and stuff." Saskia beamed with a pearly white grin. "Are you having as much trouble figuring the game mechanics as I am? It certainly is a lot to take in all at once."
Saskia leaned against the wall, cutting out a little space for her to have some elbow room as she listened to them discuss the quest. She returned her gaze to the man with the ebony unkempt hair.
"Nice to meet you as well, Stryke. That sounds like a pretty fierce name. "
Saskia asked as the male who seemed more experienced came back with news of their destination.
"Well, that settles it then. Let me go get Icarus from the stables. " The wolf hair replied as she exited the building and retrieve a gallant steed with an ivory coat and brilliant blonde mane. The horse seemed wary around others, but slightly comfortable with his owner, at least enough to let her mount him.
With a tug on his reins, she rode Icarus over to the others on the road. As they arrived at the outskirts of the mine, Saskia inquired about the game. "So, what are our characters even supposed to be good at? My sister made my character and I barely even played...but judging by the armor, I certainly at least feel a little bit safer."
She began to pull up an image of her menu display. "How do I even figure out what stuff I have that I can use or what skills I have? ...hmm.." She spoke aloud as she seemed focused on trying to learn how to navigate the menu.

[attr="class","solcap"] Constance smiled uneasily as Hope pretended to contemplate her identity. This type of playful behavior she could only tolerate from women in bars or nurses uniforms. It was exhausting to deal with in general, but Hope dropped the act once she was convinced. "The one and only. I'm actually not big on gaming. I've played a few MMOs, but I never got very far." Give it a month, and she'd have dropped Log Horizon. Sadly, there was no guarantee she'd be safe even then. Whoever was responsible for this… "I've been studying the mechanics almost exclusively. I find it more…engaging than senselessly killing monsters." She eventually hoped to get into crafting and exploring her roleplay subclass.
Stryke was a slightly creative name, though did little to make the man seem like anything other than a brute. His name implied that he liked hitting things; hopefully not women. Constance was briefly left alone with him while Hope ran out to retrieve her mount. The older woman had a few of her own, none very standard at all.
She had a wolf, a bear and a chicken. Riding her wolf as a wolf hair made her uncomfortable; it was a male, and she a member of the opposite sex. The chicken was simply out because it looked ridiculous. The bear? The bear was the only option here. "I hope you came prepared," she said to Stryke. "Cause I don't double up with men." She could make an exception for life or death situations, but moments like these? He could walk.
The woman was climbing onto the back of her black bear when Hope trotted over on a horse. It was nice and elegant, unlike the woman and bear standing in the road. She rested her chin on the bear's neck during the ride. "I'm a offensive healer, basically. I can summon a few monsters to help me, too. I only have an Alraune and wolf pup for now, but I should get stronger ones later." That was how these things worked.
"As for your menus…there's a thing there at the corner of your eye. It's weird, but just think of the menu as a virtual filing cabinet." It really was a strange concept, but it made the most sense to her. The pink haired girl mentioned that his name sounded fierce, well, she hit the nail on that one. Leo's choice of names for games wasn't exactly creative and was even worse during his adolescence, his most creative one in that frame of time being "crusher" and that speaks volumes about it. He felt little shame in that, he just liked names that evoked strength, the key was in finding one that wouldn't make him extremely embarrassed in hindsight. Leo shuddered at the thought of some names he came up during character creation, he was particularly glad of not having chosen the joke name of "Mr.Smackdown". The pink haired girl left them to go take her horse. Leo recalled that one of the subclasses in the game let you have a horse as early as the start, very convenient to have a mount so early, he thought. The idea of having a mount was cool for him, especially since in this new reality he would be the one directly commanding it. As Leo started thinking about mounts, the other girl summoned one as well, a big black bear.
The swashbuckler widened his eyes as he saw the bear suddenly coming into life from thin air, he tried to keep his usual appearance with all his might despite the urge to fawn over that incredible beast. "THAT....IS....SOO....COOL" He thought trying his best to not let his excitement be seen. The woman hopped on the bear and made clear that he wouldn't have the joy of riding a friggin bear like a man among men. He pierced her with a cold stare for a moment, coming prepared? Leo didn't even know it was possible to get a mount so early outside from the cavalier subclass and what did she have against men? He began seriously questioning whether she was really a girl in real life or just a middle aged guy. "...My feet work well...I don't like being carried." Big. Meaty. Lie. Truth be told he was dying from envy, though he didn't let his emotions show as usual.
The pink haired girl soon returned with her stallion, Leo twitched his eyebrow as he saw the horse, then he looked back at the black bear, then back to the horse, why was he the only one without a cool animal at this side? "... And I'm a dps, basically an offensive centered class" Leo responded to her question, then let the other woman teach her how menus worked. He looked furrowed back and forward both girls on their cool mounts, "....Now let's go..." He grumpily muttered while placing his hands in his pockets and taking the lead to the mines, he felt like an idiot being the only one forced to walk and he was clearly envious of both of them, but that couldn't be helped.

Guardian - Cavalier - Blacksmith ____________________________________________________ Saskia compartmentalized the in-game knowledge that Constance Bang was providing. The bright haired woman knew that she would have to learn quickly and a fellow player that was willing to teach was a great asset to have, especially early on. However, the woman did explain that she too, wasn't any type of hardcore gamer like Saskia's sister and cousin were. Video games seemed to be popular among today's generation, but it seemed to skip Saskia.
Eisbaer seemed to have a healthy respect for the way the game worked and like Saskia, she wasn't one of those sadistic gamers that got excited from brutally 'murdering' animals and beasts in the game. She seemed a bit more relaxed and refined.
Unless, of course it came to the topic of men, then it seems like she had her aversions. However, Saskia couldn't blame her. Some guys were just idiots. Alas, Saskia still believed everyone deserved a fair chance to prove themselves.
As they headed off, Constance summoned a bear using a familiar whistle. Saskia froze atop her horse, still not yet accustomed to some of the game's unrealistic version of allies. She heaved a heavy breath, steadying her nerves . She hoped no one noticed how timid she was behaving just before they were about to enter combat.
"Well, good to know he's on our side.." Saskia stated nervously. "Since when did people start riding bears?"
As Saskia watched Constance reject Stryke, a part of the guardian wolf hair wanted to offer him a ride, but Constance's stance held some influence over Saskia's actions and she didn't want to be perceived as a week woman.
"It'll be okay Stryke. Maybe we'll make enough money soon for you to buy your own mount." Saskia smiled genuinely, her body straddling her steed, bobbing up and down as Icarus's tail wagged lightly.
Saskia listened intently as Eisbaer described the abilities of her class.
"Offensive healer..sounds pretty powerful. Seems like you'd be able to hold your own. Not too sure what an Alraune is, but I'm pretty sure I'll find out soon. And a wolf? Wow, wolves are cute but that sounds a little dangerous. I see you like to live on the wild side~" Saskia cooed promiscuously.
"You know Stryke, I bet if you came in riding on a bear, you'd have the ladies in this game all over you." Saskia teased as she took a canteen from her satchel and took a sip of water.
"Hey, Eisbaer...that's your gamer name, right?" Saskia said, though she already figured that much out. " Where you here when the riots broke out too...that was insane. Worst night of my life I swear. So riots break out in the city right, there's this werecat scurrying around, barely able to walk and he's with this girl right. So I try to tell the girl that is trying to help the guy walk that we need to get him to the hospital. "
Saskia continues on with the chatter to pass the travel time.
"So, turns out the guy is a freaking looney tune, he says if I say he needs to go to a hospital again that I'll be the next one to kick the bucket. So I look to the girl, she's acting as if nothing happened and still aids the cat, though they literally just met. You'd think she'd at least say something about his violent behaivour right? Nope. She ignores it. I tell the guy to back off and that I was only concerned about his welfare, but that crazy werecat...he snatches me by the back of my neck and threatens to beat me, and the girl...she doesn't do anything."
" Next thing I know they are shoving me into a cart and all hell breaks loose. Lucky for me, that wolf showed up when I tried to call the guards with that whistle. Oh, and there was that cool Samurai lady that helped out, too.. her name was Evelyn." Saskia blinked as she realized she had said a mouthful, but it was the first social interaction the woman had in a long time, and Constance was one of the few connections Hope had left to the real world.
"But yeah, crazy world...if you see any players named Rebutia or Spades...do me a favor and kick their ass for me." Saskia smirked mischievously. " Those guys are some crooked characters. "
Saskia shifted her attention to Stryke who seemed miserable as he walked in front of them.
"DPS, huh? So I guess that makes you the strong one...I see you have two weapons there...maybe I could do that too..." Saskia stated, ignorant of the potential debuff she would receive by doing so.
She leaned forward, eyeballing Stryke who was taking the lead.
"So how we looking there, Sergeant Stryke? We almost there yet?" Saskia stated. After all, he was the one with the details on the mine's location and was the ladies' leading man.

[attr="class","solcap"] "Good." Were she the playful sort, Constance would've stuck her tongue out at the sulky young man. That was just how the world was; how this world was. Maybe if she got to know and trust him, he would be offered a ride. Until then, he would just have to rough it.
As a dps and therefore their main damage dealer, Stryke had a good chance of proving himself sooner than later. Unless he was one of the dumb types that needed to be babysat. Constance could hardly judge, of course, not being a hardcore gamer and all. She was at least somewhat decent when it came to healing, one of the roles usually delegated to her. She'd be a lot worse off if she were in Stryke's place, for example.
"Not so sure about the powerful part yet. The skills I have so far are more support oriented than anything. My Alraune helps with healing, but my wolf, just a little pup, might I add, can do some damage. And I have this...some kind of fire spell." Her experience with combat in this world was minuscule, though she knew enough to barely scrape by. And was it just her imagination, or was Hope being flirtatious? "Hm, I wouldn't say wild. The most I've done is buy motorbikes and a muscle car." And jump from buildings or run from gangsters, but that was more of an occupational hazard.
She tried not to smirk at Hope's comment to Stryke. She wasn't sure how many women would actually jump over a guy with a bear mount. A wolf, maybe. But then she never could figure out straight women. For those who greatly valued masculinity, Stryke would be quite the catch. The daintier girls might get skittish, and she honestly couldn't blame them. Once stuck in the game, she was reluctant to try riding any of her mounts, for fear that they might assault her when she least expected it.
"That is correct, Saskia. But I'd prefer it if you called me by my given name." "Eisbaer" sounded cool in principle, but was never intended to be used as a personal address. "Eis works too, I guess..." She fell silent when the girl brought up the riots, head nodding in affirmation. "I was somewhere near St. Pancras Station. I fled into the tunnels along with a few others, and stayed there until the riots blew over." Never again. She had the pleasure of being holed up with two crying children with heavily bearded dwarven avatars, a sassy teenage werecat, and an overly muscled man who wouldn't cease peacocking at her.
Hope's crew did not sound too bad, at least. Well, aside from the werecat; the girl with him did not seem like a threat. "Spades and Ruebtia, huh?" She filed those names away for later. If she ever came across those two, she'd steer clear of them. Troublemakers were the last thing she needed right now. Leo just gazed at saskia expressionlessly for a moment after she said that maybe they'd gain enough money to buy him a mount. He wasn't sure whether the pink haired cavalier was joking or not, usually mounts in these games weren't accessible so early but Leo was literally standing between 2 of them used by level 1 players, it was clear that his past experiences in mmorpgs weren't going to be as useful as he thought. " that sounds incredible, I'm sure there aren't any men playing girl characters anyway " He responded very sarcastically to the girl, who mentioned that by having a bear mount he'd get all the ladies in the game. In all honesty he didn't want to try his luck in this new world, everything was already too much bizarre for his tastes without adding the possibility of wooing a cute girl who could potentially be a hairy man in real life. Let's be real, most mmorpg populations consists of something like 70% male players, why would this one be any different? The odds were clearly stacked against him. The group continued going forward, Leo focused on on searching for the mines while the other two girls in the back talked, and talked, and talked, and talked. Well, it was mostly Saskia who did the talking while eisbaer responded every once in a while. The pink haired girl seemed like the gossip type you can find in schools and colleges, fortunately her target for the time being was Eisbaer. She mostly talked about various adventures with strange characters, but when they talked about the riots in the city he started paying more attention, the first day in this world had been intense for everyone and hearing other people's experiences helped him get a better idea of what happened during the catastrophe. On the first days Leo only left the inn to go hunting and questing, getting into a pointless fight was the stupidest thing since he wanted to find a quick way out of the game, so he traversed the city on very early hours to avoid any unnecessary confrontation. After a while Saskia finally acknowledged his presence again, " According to the class info i have read, swashbucklers are the only class that can effectively dual wield without an accuracy loss, so it might not be advisable to do it on other classes. There may be a way to get around that handicap, but in all honesty i think you'll be better off with a sword and shield for your class, as a tank you want to focus on mitigating damage and protecting the party." Leo had his own share of experience with the holy trinity system, enough to know that a squishy tank isn't the most viable build, especially since if a tank dies in a fight it generally leads to a complete party wipe. Leo returned his gaze forward, only to be asked by Saskia if there were there yet. " ...Sergeant Stryke?" He thought with a puzzled look on his face, wasn't it way too early to already give nicknames? He sighed lightly and looked ahead of him: " Yeah, I can already see the entrance, just a few minutes from here". The entrance to the mine was nothing more than a glorified hole inside the ground, big enough for all 3 adventurers but certainly not for the mounts, probably it opened up once fully underground. Guardian - Cavalier - Blacksmith ____________________________________________________
Heavy hooves trotted through the mossy soil that lied underneath Icarus as he followed behind Stryke, it was a bit of an odd sight, being paired next to a giant bear. As they rode, Saskia’s mind began to wonder if bears would even eat horses in the normal world. She didn’t know where a thought like this came from, but it made her more curious about the wilds. She began to wonder about what abilities it had as she never used it in combat before. However, unlike her horse, the bear and wolves looked vicious as natural predators normally do. A part of her felt like she was on one of those wilderness channels with the people who get way too close to dangerous animals and are perfectly comfortable around them.
The whole thing seemed a bit risque. That was the aura that Constance put out. Between the motorbikes, muscle cars, and the dangerous occupation it seemed very telling that this woman lived life on the edge. However, she tried to seem cool and non-chalant about it. In Saskia’s eyes she seemed like some kind of action packed heroine. However, Saskia did tend to over glamourize different facets of life.
“Sounds like you have a lot of assets to bring to the team. So you heal and support the team and help us not die? Oh, well then you’re most definitely the real MVP in my book.” Saskia smiled. “ I remember my sister always saying that healers were like the most underappreciated class that always gets blamed for the team getting wiped, but really without them, then most quests or boss fights are just impossible.”
She was trying to fit in somewhat by regurgitating the gamer lingo her sister would go on and on about, or what she remembered her sister shouting out over her headset to the rest of the team whenever she would play at Saskia’s villa.
“So, I got to check out a few of my skills. I gave my sister the money to pre-order a special edition of the game when it came out and she made a character for me and I never really played it, but apparently she hooked my character up with some nice skills. Mostly it’s just a bunch of stuns, counters, passive defense boosts, and stuff to basically make the whole world pissed at me. “ Saskia chuckled.
“Oh boy, my pain tolerance is going to have to skyrocket if I’m going to have to be the one taking all the hits.” Saskia said with a pained expression, ultimately acknowledging her fate.
After hearing about how Eisbaer related to the drama that occurred during the riot made Saskia think of how scary it must have been for people who had to endure riots in real life or mass genocides.
“Cool, Constance works better for me anyway. I like my Hope just fine, too.” Saskia grinned.
After Stryke made his comment, Saskia chuckled as she caught his hint. “Oh wow, so a lot of guys play as girls. I didn’t even know that was a thing. I guess that would suck for them if they got stuck in here.”
Saskia then leaned forward and squinted skeptically at Stryke, then thought to herself a scary thought for all that manliness in front of her.
“Wait...so half the people I’ve met probably weren’t even the gender they appeared to be? Well, that’s a hell of a news flash.” Saskia then looked over to Stryke. “So...you are a guy, right? I mean I’m just asking because I don’t want to call you anything you’d might find offensive.”
“I mean, you sure seem like a man to me.” Saskia replied. “And if you are a woman, you definitely got the macho masculine walk down…” Then she clasped a hand over her mouth, realizing she might have made a rude remark if Stryke was indeed a woman who would take offense. "I mean, sorry...forget that. You're cool. We're cool, right?"
Saskia fidgeted with her hands and wanted to hide from the feeling of embarassment from her unfiltered mouth.
“Hmm, well unfortunately, I don’t have a sword. I do have a couple spears, however. Whenever I messaged my sister however, she said that I have a roleplay subclass of Cavalier, so spears are better than swords, because apparently I can use two-handed spears and a shield while mounted.” Saskia stated. “Thing is….I don’t have any two handed spears. But I figured I’d get used to it. I thought it’d be pretty cool to be one of the few people that can actually fight well on a mount without getting the debuff.”
Saskia’s face beamed began to recall something, “Oh, right, we should check our inventory to make sure we’re equipped well and have a good stock of potions. I almost forgot to equip my accessories!” Saskia began to hold out the palm of her hand as a projection of a menu interface opened up.
“Hm, let’s see…” She muttered as she selected three low quality trinkets and equipped them. “These should come in handy.” As the trio arrived at the mines entrance, Saskia’s face pouted. “I figured…” She sighed as she looked at the tiny hole, too small for their mounts to enter properly. “Well, Icarus, I’ll have to come back for you later, love.” The fair skinned woman hopped of the horse and placed an affectionate hand on his face, before taking a deep breath and looking into the hole.
“Well, if that isn’t creepy, I don’t know what is…” Saskia said as she walked over and inspected the entrance to the mine shaft. “Well..” She nodded her head a few times as she placed her canteen back in her satchel. “I’ll take point. The entrance seems pretty narrow and it’s pretty dark in there.”
Saskia licked her lips in anticipation and took a few cautious steps into the hole, raising her shield high in front of her chest. Her spear, which she gripped in her left hand was placed over the left edge of her shield as she watched warily for any dangers. The echo of her heavy steps and shifts in her platemail among the eerie silence was met with the sound of rocks sliding underneath her feet.
The ground itself wasn’t very stable, and it was easy for a persons foot to collide into a chunk or rock or dropped ore on the ground. Due to the winter, the condensation levels of the mine were high so it caused the inner workings to be very damp and frigid. The drop in temperature would be noticeable the more they descended into the unknown.
“Cold, dark, and damp...my three favorite things when going out exploring..” Saskia said sarcastically as she trekked onward, feeling her way around with her shield arm as she tried to maintain her balance.
Once they reached stable ground, Saskia noticed a few pickaxe lying around, either standing up out of the soil or laid out across the ground. Partially filled carts also littered the area as well as sturdy wooden beams holding to man made structure intact.
Fortunately, the inside had some form of man made lighting that illuminated the halls and allowed for the team to see normally, although the source was dim, and a few of the bulbs could be seen flickering. As Saskia explored deeper within, she turned a corner before the others could approach, she lifted up an arm gesturing them to hold back.
“Hold on, I think I hear something... “ Saskia stated as her ears picked up the sound of squishing and awkward noises from around the corner. As she stalked closer, she felt a gooey surface stick to her boot. “Aw, gross…” Saskia squirmed as she lifted her boot to find she had stepped in a gooey residue. As her eyes followed the trail of green goo, she could seem a small horde of slimes skulking about.
There was a group of three in one corner, and a pair of two in the other. They all seemed to slither in randomized patterns, but held within their group.
“Oh, they look terrible..” Saskia grimacedas a horrid smell entered her nostrils, stimulating her heightened wolf hair senses. “And the stench...ughh..” Shaking her head, she looked onward at the pair of slimes. “Let’s start with these guys first.” She nodded her head in their direction as she opened up her interface.
“This area is a bit too tight to fight well while mounted, but if your mount is a combat one, then they should be able to hold their own. You have a bear already and they are meant to be kind of like me, with the ability to piss off enemies and get their attention. It’d be good in case we need the extra backup.” Saskia stated as she scanned her inventory. “Which means...that we could probably afford for me to use a more offensive mount, but I think I’d feel better with the defensive buff the bear gives than the wolf.”
She grasped the wooden whistles with the bear and wolf symbols upon them, then reluctantly chooses the bear summon mount.
A light form emerges with a large black bear eating a delicious pot of honey. He seems to be rather gluttonous and lazy as he becomes immersed in his food. His passive ability [Ally] boosts Saskia’s defense rating by 5% and he also had another ability called [Roar] which when activated would aggro all nearby enemies.
“Well, at least they start out at level 3 so that’s pretty cool.” Saskia stated to make herself feel at ease. Unfortunately, in all the blind chatter, Saskia didn’t notice that she had summoned her bear a little too close to the enemy mobs and that made for a very, very pissed off bear.
However, he seemed to redirect his anger towards Saskia and slung the honey pot like a Chicago Cubs ace pitcher and it collided with the back of Saskia’s skull.
“Ow, what the hell was that!?!” Saskia shouted at the bear in a flowery, yet angry british voice as she rubbed the back of her head in an annoyed. “Oh, piss off you damn bear! Tossing honeypots at me for no reason! I knew I should have picked the bloody wolf!”
Saskia scowled at the bear and looked up at the incoming pair of two slimy creatures. “Oh, to hell with this…” Saskia gritted her teeth as she nervously charge forward in a defensive stance. “Anchor Howl!!!” She shouted in a valiant war cry. A phase of energy projected from her steering the atacking slimes away from her bear and towards her, however, they were slowed in their movement as they crawled towards her.
Her body tensed up as she threw a shaky thrust at the slime, causing it’s body to slither around the tip and spray a green ooze out of it’s body. She retracted her spear, but it felt awkward retrieving it from such a gooey substance. Perhaps the foes were more resistant to thrusting attacks than slashing or magical weapons.
The slimes had both attacked from the front, slamming their bodies into Saskia’s platemail for a moderate amount of damage. Saskia seemed to be handling the pain well enough. It wasn’t as bad as she thought, especially sense these were weaker enemies and she had the highest defense stats of the level one characters and a proper buff from her ally. Her bear moved in to intercept the same slime that Saskia had drove her spear into.
Mentally, Saskia felt very confident knowing that they had the advantage in numbers. She now laid her trust in the support of her team to overwhelm the enemy.

[attr="class","solcap"] The nameless black bear trudged along at an easy gait, a fact which Constance found odd. She supposed she could chalk it up to being "game logic," but could a bear really carry others on its back without suffering strain? She wasn't very heavy, but…The bear yawned lazily when she gave the back of his head a light pat. It would be more believable if she were a small werecat or dwarf. The wolf and chicken, too...
Constance was rubbing her thumb against her lower lip, deep in thought when the loquacious Hope reengaged conversation. "Hm? Oh, you could say that. Calling me an MVP might be pushing it, however. As far as I know, druids are just well rounded healers; jack of all trades, master of none. I don't think I can afford to go all out, either. Mana issues and all." There were a few games where she'd reach the point of needing to carefully moderate her mana, but she'd have to be especially careful here. "But yes -- that is an issue most of us face. In reality, it's usually the other team members who are too prideful to consider the issue lies with them." People like that made the worst teammates.
"I think my only mistake in character creation was dual wielding. Hadn't counted on it being an actual issue, until now." She would just have to remedy that later. "Good on your sister for looking out for you, Hope." She was also glad Hope was onboard with using IRL names, and not their virtual aliases.
"It's fairly common for men and women to play as the opposite gender in games, but what most people fail to realize is that the number of female players is almost on par with that of males." But there were no girls on the internet, correct? "So the odds of you encountering a man with a female avatar isn't as high as you'd think." Not these days, anyway. "I think it's safe to say that Stryke is a guy…or a tomboyish woman in disguise."
Potions she had plenty of, but no accessories. Yet. Constance could barely be bothered to wear trinkets in general, but would reconsider that if they were a necessity. "I have plenty of health and mana potions. Nothing else here will be of any particular use." She left her bear with a pot of honey to entertain himself while they were questing. The bear slumped into an undignified heap on the ground and shoved his snout into the pot.
Constance fell into line behind Hope, body tense and at the ready for the first sign of trouble. When it became apparent that nothing was going to immediately ambush them, however, she reached for her wand and whip. It was better to be prepared, and on the off chance that something did leap out at them, she wanted to be ready for it.
When the time to react arrived, Hope was faster on the uptake, bringing forth her own bear mount. Sadly, the bear was rebellious and chose to assault its owner, rather than the slimes huddled up in a corner. Constance winced as the pot smacked Hope in the back of the head. She'd have to be careful around hers.
The druid placed her back against the wall, giving Stryke room to squeeze through and attack head on, should he so desire. The woman did not see an immediate need to summon forth her grey wolf pup or Alraune, and instead chose to hang back and apply Cure Bloom on Hope. It was a heal over time skill that also made the receiver smell nice. Once again, Leo found himself staring expressionlessly at both Saskia and Eisbaer. Well, they weren't wrong, for all they knew the swashbuckler could have been a woman pretending to be a man for whatever reason. Of course the same could be said to them as well, or for any adventurer in this new world for that matter. Leo closed his eyes for a moment, thought about the hilarious implications of their statement and then gave a small chuckle. He was a prideful man, but every once in a while he knew how to take a joke and look at himself in a less serious way, " You know, you two are right. Guess it works both ways, I too could very well be what I say I am, or not. Same applies to you." He said, returning his sight on the mines near them. As suggested by Saskia, the party looked through their inventory to see if they had enough supplies of potions and consumables. Leo snorted as he looked at his screen, which just glared in front of him with a mocking [EMPTY] tag. He was lucky the two girls couldn't see it, especially since they appeared to have plenty of supplies for their own. " ...I'll manage..." He said without sounding too convincing and trying to not being too obvious about his lack of emergency consumables, it'd be embarrassing if they found out he was the only one with absolutely nothing at hand but his swords. With the group finally arriving at the mines, the two girls had to abandon their mounts for the moment. Leo looked at the bear with its face stuffed into the honey pot, he didn't know how could such a manly animal become so adorable in a few seconds. This time Saskia took the lead and adventured for first into the mine. It was a good call, as a tank it was probably best for her to take a leading role. The Mines were dump, really dump, like a rainy evening in London. Leo snorted as he entered into the uncomfortable hole, he was something akin to a cold blooded reptile, preferring to stay in warm places and avoiding like the plague cold environments. It didn't take long before Saskia discovered the location of some slimes, then she summoned her own bear companion to aid her in battle. " Wait...she got one too?" Leo thought looking more puzzled then ever, how in hell did they get these beasts? It appeared this one was less willing to help too, instead deciding to hilariously lunch his honey pot back at saskia. Leo didn't laugh, he was burning from envy, he snorted again and then unsheathed his trusty dual swords, at least now he had a target to unleash all his pent up frustration to. The swashbuckler closed his eyes for a moment and focused his thoughts, his wolf features appeared from thin air and he locked his deathly stare on the slime. With his blades pointed outward at his side, Leo dashed forward, remembering the basics about dps optimization: buff yourself before attacking, then apply your dots. Since he didn't have have yet any buff skill, Leo concentrated his thoughts on the skill < Viper rise>, jumping on the slime and piercing it with both blades. A bleeding icon appeared next to its name tag, proving that he successfully applied his dot on the monster. Without losing time, he jumped off the slime and attacked the other one near him, he didn't want to generate too much aggro on just a single mob. since his dot skill was on colldown, Leo Slashed the mob with an x motion with both blades before jumping back to get some safe distance. If he attacked too much he risked of taking the mob's aggro, he could obviously take a low level mob head on but he thought it'd be much more beneficial to Saskia if he let her get accustomed to tanking. Support would arrive in the the form of a stalwart swashbuckler rushing to her side. With a tenacious golden glow in his eyes, it seemed as if he was a possessed demon dancing along the battlefield with his weapons in hand. It caught Saskia off guard when the man jumped so high and dived in onto the slime that spewed out what seemed to be a disgusting spray of green blood that leaked onto the surface of ground and over her boots. It stunned her for a moment, as the slice that penetrated the slime was quite gory.
She began to fear if similar skills might ever be used against her in the future. Her eyes quivered as the slime continued to bleed out. Before she could realize it, Stryke kept up his momentum by performing a cross slash against another slime. Dispersing his assault and allowing himself to get full use out of the bleeding effect that was slowly sapping the initial slimes health away.
Seeing Stryke not skip a beat in battle, she realized she had her part to play in the battle, too. She scanned her available skills and noticed something was missing. One of her skills was grayed out due to the fact that it required her to be in a party to become active.
‘Oh, crap…we forgot about the passives from partying up’ Saskia began to realize as she activated [Cool Defense] and [Immovable Object Stance] to buy her some time to navigate into her window and toss out a quick party invite as she was being struck continuously by the slimes. “We should party up for our class buffs. I can boost all of our defenses!” It might not have been the best move she made by initiating it right in the middle of combat, but hopefully her sleight of hand could gain the group a healthy advantage. "
With [Cool Defense] activated, Saskia’s mana slowly began to sap away while she received reduced damage from the enemies. [Immovable Object Stance] increased her aggro generation per attack by 25% and would increase the stats of her armor and shield as if they were 5 levels higher while decreasing the damage of her spear and great shield as if they were 5 levels lower. Saskia didn’t know whether or not if anything could go lower than level one, but if she did have to suffer a negative effect, the boosted defense was certainly worth it. As she focused her attack on the slime that Stryke attacked in the latter segment of his assault, it allowed Stryke an opportunity to go all out. “Stryke…it says I get a big increase to aggro generation while in this stance, you can go all out on whatever I attack and I think you’ll be okay!”
As the slimes continued to pummel Saskia with their amorphous bodies, Saskia grit her teeth to brace against the blows. However, a soothing healing sensation would overwhelm Saskia and a floral scent showered over her. Saskia paused. “Wait…did you just heal me…and make me smell nice at the same time? You trying to say I got B.O. or something, Constance?” Saskia teased as she looked back towards Eisbaer.
Saskia’s eyes widened as she noticed several things etching out of the darkness, squirming over towards Eisbaer. “Oh shit! Wait…what’s happening? Why are they going for Constance?” Saskia couldn’t comprehend why they would travel so far outside their normal patrol pattern, but it seemed as if something had attracted them to Eisbaer’s presence. Saskia had not known anything of the monster’s mana attraction passive ability, so she wouldn’t have been able to take into effect that slimes were attracted to caster types when she initiated combat.
Once the slimes got closer towards Eisbaer, they began to wobble as if alerted to another presence, turning their attention to their sister slimes that were being attacked and then they begun to bounce over as a collective group to assault Saskia and Stryke.
“Shit…hold on…” Saskia shouted as her eyes glanced about her screen in a panic. Anchor Howl was already on cooldown. Fortunately, two of the three incoming slimes had already come lunging at her, the other for Stryke. She didn’t have much time and was forced to make a decisive decision. “Accept those party invites. I need my defense buff! Uhm…shit this looks like it might help. “
“Wall of Shards!” Saskia cried out as a cracked semi-transparent purple glass barrier formed around her. “It says the skill boosts my damage, and hurts enemies that hit me for damage based on my defense. We only got 15 seconds to un-[Explicitive] this situation!”
Saskia groaned as the slimes piled up on her in a well executed ambush. After watching the other slime attempt to attack Stryke, Saskia lunged her spear at it, hoping to draw it’s aggro while Stryke focused on his targets in piece.
Saskia was taking one hell of a beating, as all five slimes kept crashing into her from all sides. Her bear tried his best to aid her by viciously mauling the slime the both her and Saskia had attacked, making it’s health very minimal and setting up the chance for someone to claim the finishing blow.
Saskia grunted as she saw her health parameters drop and then increase in increments by the second due to the healing over time and damage she was taking, hopefully her team could react fast enough to remedy this situation. “If I can get heals, maybe wall of shards can make them wear themselves out a little…”

[attr="class","solcap"] Constance had also forgotten about the party bonuses, though to be fair she'd not have much of a reason to utilize them until now. Or fully explore the party system from anywhere other than behind a computer screen. "I have Nature's Blessing. Oh, it's always active? It buffs healing for the whole party." That would really help out when it came to breaks and the like. Plus it meant she did not have to stress too much over healing.
She happily accepted the party invite, equally grateful for the passive boost in defense. Now the slimes would slaughter them slightly slower. She'd have to consider becoming more involved in the fight, despite the crowded conditions. It wouldn't do to accidentally set the tank or dps on fire, now would it?
The fight seemed to be going...fairly well, from her perspective. Constance had the easy job of standing back and providing support to her allies. It was a little strange to wish them harm so she'd have something to do. Before, she'd never cared about that, and why should she? Video game characters only bled pixelated blood, not something to be concerned about. Hell, sometimes she'd make a joke at her team mates for getting badly battered when they jumped into a fight they were unprepared for. Other times, she might hold back on healing them until their health was down to thirty percent. That would teach them to aggro a horde of flesh eating goblins.
But now? Hope's health was plunging steadily lower, and she was anxious to do whatever possible to remedy that. "It's nothing personal, Sasi," she responded with a teasing tone. Shame that flowery spell would be little use in keeping the guardian at full health...but her only other healing skill at the moment involved her Alraune's abilities. Wait...what?
The color drained from Constance's face when she reread the flower girl's description. The Alraune didn't actually heal. She provided support by slowing down targets. 'Are you freaking kidding me?' Why had she thought -- oh this was not going to end well.
Matters only worsened once the slimes decided to gang up on her for some reason. Hope got in the way between them, however. She used some sort of shield to fend them off, but it wasn't going to last for long. The only way Constance could help was by using Flameburst, but that was too risky; friendly fire and all. And her Alraune was equally useless, what with the slimes clustered so close together. If they were at a distance, it would be highly optimal.
Constance brought out her Grey Wolf pup, and instructed the creature to target the nearly dead slime. In the meantime, she would refresh Cure Bloom on Hope. Stryke looked okay, so she would dedicate heals to the tank for now. And, if they could somehow line the slimes up so that Hope wouldn't be incinerated, maybe set them aflame.

OOC: Sorry for the late post ;_; It was nice that Saskia reminded them about party buffs, since it was the only thing they entirely forgot about. Leo nodded and accepted the party invite: " Good call, I have a passive too that increases party attack speed by 5%". Upon accepting, 2 popup windows appeared in the corner of his eyes, they displayed the current HP levels of both Saskia and Eisbaer. Aside from party buffs, knowing exactly how much hp your team members have is great especially for healers, Leo was sure Eisbaer would have an easier time managing heals with that tool at her disposal. Leo grinned as Saskia told him he could go all out without worrying about the aggro, that was at least before another group of slimes made their way to Eisbaer completely unnoticed. Saskia promptly aggroed even those slimes and was now in quite a pinch, she had 5 slimes on herself, quite a few more than what it would be considered safe. It was imperative to dispose some of those mobs in the quickest way possible if he was to relieve the pressure on both his healer and tank. The swashbuckler quickly looked over the and noticed the mob which he had previously attacked with his damage over time skill, it was close to dying and so was the perfect target for him. As swift as he could, he ran to the slime and prepared for the confrontation. With an outward motion Leo slashed the slime with his right sword, then he quickly followed up with his left sword with the same motion. The slime exploded into tiny blue particles as Leo took a quick breath, he still had to get used to fighting with swords, he was untrained and felt unsure if he was even doing it right, if he only picked monk in character creation he could have fought with much more confidence and performance, since he made a living out of punching guys anyway. There were still too many slimes alive though, without conceding himself another moment of rest he lounged on the other slime he had attacked before. As if knowing what his intention were, the slime turned form saskia and faced him head on, extending its gelatinous body to attack the swashbuckler. Leo was caught off guard by that sudden attack, he didn't realize that there were too many mobs for saskia to keep a healthy amount of aggro, not with a level 1 character with limited skills. He tried to put up a weak guard with his swords but he was too late, the slime headbutted him in the guts, making him retreat a few feet behind. Leo let out a good chuck of air out of his lungs, he didn't loose much HP though thanks to the dfense buff provided by saskia. Leo growled as he set his golden eyes again on the slime, without a further moment he actiated his skill <Miracle Dealer>, slashing it with an x motion and then teleporting to its back. Leo continued his assault and barraged the slime with slashes before it turned around to face him again. This slime too exploded into tiny particles. Leo grinned as he saw them flying outside his field of view, he felt like he was waving his arms like a moron for most of the time, but the sensation of killing mobs was an exciting one, at least he could fight without people complaining of him being too rough on his opponents.
