When Two (Newbie) Assassins Meet [Closed/Valentine]

Ken doesn't know how to react all of this. One minute, he was about to play the newly installed Elder Tale on his computer just to escape his step-parents' torturous scolding. But once he did, he found himself not only in the game world of the MMORPG but also in a body of his newly created avatar, Eniko. Of course, when he managed to take one good look at his new surroundings, all he can say was...

"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!!"

Before he can say anything else, he quickly fell down as his butt landed on the ground, still shell-shocked at what happened to him. Of course, he's not the only one as he sees many players started to panic at the same incident he is facing. "N-No way... I-I'm in Elder Tale. I'm... literally in the world of Elder Tale! It's not just me, everyone seems to be reacting the same way as me." As his thoughts start to run through in his mind, the 13-years-old boy grew more and more restless as he slowly realized his situation at hand. "This online game... dragged me here. I can't believe this... I don't want to believe any of this!!!"

He then quickly stood up and tried to run away from the crowd, but as he did, he quickly tripped and fell down face first to the ground. But as he recovered, he quickly saw some kind of menu screen in front of him, which revealed his status, his in-game name, and his class and level. "W-What the?! A holographic menu?! D-Don't tell me that I'm in that novel with swords and that death VR game?!"

Unfortunately, he was completely panicking right now due to his situation, that he is unable to think clearly. In fact, anyone can see him stuttered in shock as he tried to recap his whole situation.

Yuri had just gotten home from her shooting practice, she then did put down her gear in the corner of then entry and rush into her room past the nanny. The nanny was yelling at her like always for running inside, all Yuri did in response was smile as she was busy her new game should be out now. So she could finally try out Log Horizon and see if its as good as people expected, so she would slide over her floor and plant her self in her chair, then turn on the screen to her computer and start up the game, and then make her avatar.

It did not take many moments since she had basically already made it in her head, but something strange did happen when she did press the "Play" button, she got sent into the game, like in all those series she had seen it did seem quite cool.
There was lots of people around her panicking, she did not see the reason to and did just wonder how is this even possible?, she would then start looking around from the spot she was standing it did not take many momens before some guy came and did face plant the ground in front of her, she resisted to laugh and did lean over to help the guy.

She would then say "I'm Valentine, Happy to meet you mister" as she then noticed she had gotten the form and shape of her avatar that was kinda cool, she even had two pistols at her side.

Once he heard a young woman's voice, his eyes widened to see her appearance. She's not only wearing a black dress of some sort, but he saw two pistols on her holsters. Usually, he often gets flustered whenever a girl had a thing for him, but much to his relief, she hasn't flirt him just yet as she just introducing herself. Yet he wondered if she's friend or foe.

"Um... Hi... I'm Eniko," he said as he regained his composure while standing up and dusts himself before he offers his hand to her for a handshake. "Nice to meet you."

If that's done, he takes another look around the city he feels like he's in London, wondering if this is the hub city of the Unfounded Kingdom server. In fact, he wondered if this is part of the game as an exclusive mechanic, yet he doubted it since all that he's experiencing right now is no mere virtual reality stuff. "You're also new to this game as well?"

After he asked that question, he then takes another look at his status screen. To Valentine, she can see that he's staring and waving his hand to nothing. But to him, he just taps from button to button in an attempt to figure out the functions of his VR HMD-like vision.

Valentine shaked the guys hand and smiled at his response, not having any intentions of flirting with him what so ever.
then the million doller question came you're also new to this game as well, she would respond with "Yeah i'm new just like all the others here i guess".
Eniko would then start waving his hand in the air it did look kinda funny, but she had noticed that there were some kind of interface in front of her, maybe he was onto something.

Valentine started pressing the buttons and swiping her hand from menu to menu, then she found the ability menu and did press her gunslinger roll playing class as even more stuff would pop up on her screen.
Now it did also show how many bullets she had left in each gun in the bottom right and bottom left of her vision right now it did say 1/1 for the main handed pistol and 1/1 for the off handed pistol, that would come in hand when fighting not having to check the weapon for how many shots are left.

After having played around in the ability menu for a short while she would find the friend list and quickly did try and add Eniko, that would at least let her have 1 friend in this game.

As he shook her hand, Eniko then started to blush as this is his first time meeting someone in person despite their situation ever since he was adopted and forced into his studies by his step-parents. He didn't even make any online friends since he played only RPG video games in the past. But now he is in Elder Tale, he felt that he's meeting people online AND offline.

As for the status screen in front of him, he managed to open his inventory and equipment, revealing his empty slots in the former while showing both of his current equipment so far, namely a scythe on his back and some clothes that were meant for any beginning player. It isn't too surprising since it was supposed to be his first day playing Elder Tale. But just as he keeps on fiddling on his menu, he notices a friend request from someone called "Valentine".

"A friend request? More importantly, who is this "Valentine" person?"

Apparently, he is too focused on his menu to even see the girl's name from his HMD.
