One day, you awaken in a foreign, but ultimately all too familiar, land. This was Londinium, the capital city of the Unfounded Kingdom. The world of Elder Tale which became real for two long years, and yet only 2 minutes had passed in real life when it was all concluded.
"Welcome back to the Unfounded Kingdom. This is the Epilogue of the story. For those of you who have grown and created your own story, you may log out at any time and return to your own life. However, you will never return to this place again. Won't you write a final chapter for yourself?"
You examine the UI. Sure enough in the menu, there was a button to log out. It was a joke often told in the old days, but here it was. That wasn't the only change either - regardless of what your original strength might have been when the world ended, now you were set to Level 100. Practically overpowered if you were a character in an RPG. But in this RPG, the story has ended.
Do you have anything you need to settle in this world?
If you're reading this post, welcome back to the RP! In light of the 3rd season of the RP, I have opened the forum back up again for roleplaying. You may post character profiles and RP again, without any need for leveling up, buying items, or needing moderator support (unless someone breaks the rules). Everything from here on is all player-run.
The forum will not close into Maintenance Mode if I can help it, but just keep in mind, the RP effectively ends once people stop posting. There are no more seasonal events or main storylines and you are not obliged to stay once you lose interest. Please utilize the General Discussion and RP Discussion subforums as needed to coordinate with others (but really, everyone probably uses Discord nowadays probably).
Refer to the Timeline for more information.
More technical details:
Registration
- We welcome new RPers! Even though this RP forum is several years old, it's still really the only LH RP around. Take a look at the Timeline and pretend you've been here all along!
- You do not have to create multiple accounts nor log into any of your old accounts, you can always just use one account and play as multiple characters on it. If you deleted your old account or forgot its login information, you can make a new account and claim your old character! Of course there's an honor system in place so please only play characters you own.
Posting
- Please consider making a Character Profile. This is not required nor does it need approval, but it helps if you intend to RP with others.
- No restrictions on Face Claims, although remember if you look uncannily similar to Shiroe for example, you are not Shiroe. He's still in Divergence Beta of the Timeline.
- As with the original RP, make threads whenever you want to RP. You can make solo threads, closed (private), or open (free for anyone to join) ones. AP Claims no longer exist! Write to your satisfaction.
- Want to change your name color? Go into your Profile and click Groups. Join whichever Class you'd like.
Character Features
- All Adventurers in the Epilogue are Level 100 in all classes. You may use characters originally from the RP or create entirely new Adventurers.
- You may switch classes as much as you want in different threads, but you must specify your current class at the start of every thread.
- You have access to every single Tier I, II, III Adventurer Skill as well as those from your current class.
- You may claim 1 Overskill to use. Like classes, you should specify which at the start of every thread.
- On the off-chance you don't want to play as a Lv100 Adventurer, you can also play as a Person of the Land of any level. However, doing so will limit your accessible skills to the classic setting.
Lore
- The official ending of the RP has been written in the Timeline, although of course we never really got that far. You can explain the new events however you'd like... were you there on the frontlines? Do you have selective amnesia of that time? Were you just minding your business one day when suddenly the protagonist saved the world and returned you back to boring real life?
- Because of the way the current date is open ended, there's no indication how much time has passed. From looking at the weather, it seemed to be in January 2021 right when the world fraction occurred. Landers started to celebrate the New Year after getting to know the Adventurers and some of those decorations are still up. However, there seemed to be inconsistencies between returning Adventurers. For many, it had only been a few years since they were last in this world. For others, closer to 10 years. And for some, they had lived and grown old before they returned here, only to look like how they did back then. Interpret this plot point however you wish - it's partly an OOC mechanic to keep things flexible.
- Once you "log out" in RP, that character is effectively gone from the story. There is no time limit where you need to log off in real life time, so you can effectively delay this for as long as Proboards exists. I recommend logging out only if that character's arc is fully completed - otherwise what's an extra 5 years of being inactive on the site, right?
