[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]DiCi [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: David Clifton [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 19 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: sophora, .HACK//GU [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: DiCi [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] David looks exactly like DiCi in Elder Tale. Or so his little sister said when she designed it for him. But he's not a cat-person, so there's some contention on the fact. David is a young man who stands at a slightly unimpressive five feet, eight inches. While of an athletic build, his natural lankiness and short height ended any chance of a football career in high school. The unruly-haired blond has sharp facial features and a strong jawline that go well with dark blue eyes that would make him just a tad on the intimidating side, if most men weren't taller than him. DiCi at most glances is a rather tall man with heavily obscured features. Between black and teal monk robes, and a large black conical hat, it's not easy to see much of the player underneath. Especially since the collar of the robes wraps around the character's head, leaving only the nose and eyes exposed. Usually, the brim of the hat obscures those quite well. His taller stature does make looking up and under the hat easier though. Underneath all of that is a gray-furred werecat, with occasional black stripes. Long black bangs usually obscure one of his tarnished gold eyes, though the length of his hair shortens dramatically as it gets around the the back of his head. The features and jawline of his face are softer than David's, resulting in a permanent case of 'adorable cat meme face,” forever preventing him from being visually intimidating. DiCi's Appearance In Handy Image Format: Tah-dah! [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] As a person, David is more about action than speaking, or planning. He's led a fast-paced life and is more used to coming up with things on the fly. Not to say he doesn't slow down and plan out major things, but he's most in his element when all lights are green, and he needs to act snappy. He only really slows down when he gets stressed out, his sudden discomfort in doing nothing only compounding on his anxieties. Essentially, when he falls, he falls hard. As an Internet personality, DiCi enjoys the competitive things in life. The drama and uncertainty of challenges attracts him far more than anything else. From his streaming, he's used to narrating his own thought process, something that can leak out even when he's not really addressing anyone. He's not terribly witty, nor is he quick to act on intense emotions, instead relying on fine-tuned instinct and insight to keep up a blistering pace. One of the places where he particularly shines is in working with other people. At least in a friendly manner. His trash talk leaves much to be desired. But in cooperation, he can play off of other people's strengths and mold himself to fit snugly into the dynamic of the group. He's used to being a team player, to the point where it even reflects itself in his playstyle, as he enjoys supporting his teammates more than the singular glory of the lone wolf gank-artist. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] David was the first of two children, five years apart. Being from an unbroken family solidly in the middle class, he rarely had much to worry about other than his own personal problems. First world problems. His father was a bit of a gamer, so David grew up with a selection of classics, mostly through emulation. Though, between football, gaming with his father and sister, as well as homework, he often missed out on the finer points of a social life outside of the classroom. It suited him fine though, as seeing all the awkward baggage of teenage relationships and popularity contests made him think he was sacrificing the right thing. He began playing Attack on Ancient Legends, a wildly popular MOBA style game with a large esports following, somewhere around his sophomore year. By the time he graduated, he'd gotten deep enough into play that he was streaming, and being scouted for new esports teams looking to grab the best of the best. Recruited by Idiom Esports, based in London, he was able to begin playing games professionally. Known primarily for his jungling, he filled the fifth slot on his team, and served as a backup support. Idiom did well enough that David convinced himself to move to London and live near the team. A few months later, however, he found himself replaced by a Korean player and ditched rather unceremoniously. He moped a while, and lost well over half his fans in the incident. Talking to his family gave him the idea to change what he was doing a bit. So he started streaming various games, doing reviews, and teaming up with other streamers to put on events; aiming more at becoming an internet personality rather than an esports star. While he knew it wouldn't be terribly popular, he set up a launch day stream of Elder Tale's Novasphere Pioneer expansion. And before an audience of four thousand people (most of which were still downloading the patch), the Apocalypse happened to David. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] - David's handle in Attack on Ancient Legends was also DiCi. His stream and online video channel names were both DiCi Gaming. - The name DiCi is meant to represent the initials D.C. While those are the initials to his name, he chose the name because of the common use of DC as shorthand for “disconnect,” stating that the name was “a polite suggestion for the opposing team.” - The player who replaced him, Ultramania, was one of the people watching David's stream when the Apocalypse happened. Despite the circumstances of their meeting, David is on polite terms with his replacement. |

Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. [attr="class","skill"]Purgatory Barrier: This skill is initiated by casting the spell and creating a small sphere that can be thrown at a character or object. Upon contact, the sphere will form a barrier around the target and causes it to float about two meters into the air, suspending the target in mid-air inside the barrier. The barrier is broken as soon as it is struck by any sort of attack, giving it the fan name of "Purgatory Bubble." Of course, once the barrier is broken, the target will fall the full two meters, causing minor fall damage. [attr="class","skill"]Summon Shikigami: The Shaman calls forth a shikigami in a solid form. It is usually used in a support role, with tasks ranging from off-tanking to scouts to support DPS. There is a wide range of shikigami that a Shaman can summon, and they last for 5 minutes. In the original game, shikigami are treated as bonus content for players, with little to no practical use. However, after the Catastrophe, shikigami now share the same sensations with their masters, allowing shikigami to serve reconnaissance roles in battle. Of course, there are shikigami that well-loved by many as mascots. [attr="class","skill"]Transcription: Scribes are known for their ability to copy documents carefully. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. [attr="class","skill"]Prediction: The fortuneteller is able to see into the future and predict certain situations. This skill allows them to survey an area of radius 5 meters from their current position. All monsters that will spawn within the next 5 minutes will appear as semi-transparent figures with timers above their heads showing their spawn time. This information is only visible to the Fortuneteller. While some Fortunetellers use this as a way to avoid trouble, there's been a number of field boss hunters who like to have one with them so that they can predict the incoming monster and make preparations.
