His hair a pure white, almost silver in color, could always be seen going down past his ears. He had a small fragile looking face, but his eyes spoke otherwise. One glimpse into them spoke of trials faced that no one man could imagine. His right eye was a light blue, almost white in color, whilst his left was a dark red and glowed at any sign of anger or desperation. Directly under his left eye was a scar of red. It ran down to just above his mouth, and had two lines running directly through it. The scar also glows a bright red during signs of anger or desperation. When not in battle he wears a long sleeved jacket with a red cross going down the center. The arms of the cross stretch out and around his body. Lastly he wears long dark black plants and shoes. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Xarken is shy and very secluded. All the hate he had to endure put a limit on how much he can stand people and having others around him. He is an introverted character, but when he grows close to another he will unleash some hidden feelings. When he gets to know someone these “hidden feelings” can be love, adoration, or the will to protect his friends. When he forms a bond with another he gains a sort of “link” with them. He can tell their feelings and can almost predict where they are at. His will to protect them can drive this bond and allow him to do unimaginable things. On the other hand if you, for whatever reason, anger Xarken he will not respond fondly. He will ignore you, and near about erase you from his sight. If you are not going to put the effort in for him, he will not put in the effort for you. He is a very good person at heart, and believes in the power of protecting the ones he cares for. He can laugh at almost anything and despite his brothers rather brash and uncontrollable nature, he still loves him. He refuses to let his friends down, and will always be the one to help you around. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Zaren was the younger of two brothers born to the Vargost family. His parents did nothing for him and his brother Mavars. They cared not for them once they reached an age to fend for their own lives. The two brothers were cast into a world of pain and trials. Zaren took this in strides. The world had always been cruel to him, especially when he was younger. He had always been a scholar at a young age, craving to discover the secrets of the world. He, and his brother, believed that he could do great things by discovering these secrets. To unlock the secrets of the world would mean a great stream of income for the brothers, and they could finally fend for themselves. Although with this craving for knowledge came hate from others. Many gave him titles like “nerd” or “geek” and the only thing to stop this hate was his brother Mavars, and Zaren’s craving for knowledge. The brother’s did alright for themselves, but as they grew in age so did Mavars’s want to protect his brother. It became so bad some would call it an unhealthy obsession. Mavars constantly was standing as a wall for Zaren, but one day he lost control. He lashed out upon a bully, stabbing him into the school’s wall. He was sentenced to incarceration; leaving Zaren to fend for himself for three months. In this time Zaren focused more and more on his research. He wanted to stop all the hate that was within his world. He needed to find the key, yet even the lock seemed so far away. Mavars was released, and the two brothers’ soon fled the area as several strange scenarios occurred; all of which Zaren thought it to be Mavars but never wanted to believe. They soon, after several years and Zaren finally reaching the age of 16, found a stable living environment, and that was when they found their calling. A new world with many secrets to uncover, each one teeming with knowledge that could very well give Zaren an escape from his wretched world. The game Elder Tale had been placed upon their lives. [attr="class","skill"]Transmutation: Alchemists are able to use Magitech in battle without any penalties based on their main class. Also a toggle skill. Through their abilities in creating efficient Magitech, all costs for using Magitech are halved for the Alchemist. Their research also give them an advantage in fighting Artificial Life and deal an additional 10% damage. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface.
