Mild disposition, smiles easily, though the shade of his teeth suggest a slight lack of personal hygiene. A black mop of hair with a stubborn tuft that sticks out at the back, somewhat bushy eyebrows, and sleepy brown eyes. Of average height and athletic build, there are no particular traits that would demand any attention within a crowd. A quintessential Southern Californian, he is usually dressed in comfortable attire such as a T-Shirt, Shorts, and Flip Flops. His knees and elbows have some scarring, tributes to an active and adventurous childhood, as do his knuckles, the only indication of his all-consuming and fanatical competitive drive. In game, Imperator is seen as a strikingly beautiful man, with pale, almost luminescent white skin and hair, accentuated by sharp and deep blue eyes. He is significantly taller than his real world counterpart, being a slender 6"3, with well toned muscles and long limbs. Whereas Ryan is a relaxed and comfortable dude, Imperator is the dignified Emperor, with an air of nobility about him, a quiet and confident superiority that is more of a established fact more than a conceived notion. Walking tall and straight, his movements have a hypnotic flow to them, a proud and arrogant gait as befitting the King of Kings. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] A mild mannered and righteous man, Ryan was raised as the polite child his parents wanted him to be, understanding the concepts of right and wrong, and in possession of an outstanding yet somewhat flexible moral code. However, though his parents instilled within him discipline and justice, from the moment of his conception he had always been a fiery competitor, fanatically pursuing every opportunity presented to come out on top. And though he did not always win immediately, he never gave up, and because he never gave up, in the end, he won, something far more important than achieving a perfect win loss record. As befitting of the professional he is, he has very high standards and expectations of himself. He is harsh upon the complacent, having never been comfortable with the word comfortable, always striving to be better. However, towards newbies, or those with a genuine desire to improve themselves, he harbors something of a soft-sport for, often kindly providing instruction and giving them goals just slightly beyond their reach, so as to encourage them to work and push all the harder. Not one to mince words, due to his brash personality, he is somewhat awkward socially, having a lot of acquaintances but not very many friends. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Ryan was born in the United States, living in an ordinary family as an ordinary, if a somewhat competitive (and masochistic) child. This all changed with his first encounter with Elder Tale. As a newbie, he was quickly overwhelmed, often dying and getting lost. However, he also became completely enamored, devoting the entirety of his being into the game. He studied classes, items, guides, wisdom (conventional and unconventional), learned and developed mechanics, and before he knew it, he was on top of the North American Server. This however, demotivated him more than anything. The journey to the top had been long and strenuous, but now that he was at the top, Challengers that had once thrilled him to compete against where now seen as obsolete, relics of the past that did not, or could not, change or adapt to the changes that he brought to the game. And so, for a long time he was King, lonely and bored, always waiting for someone to arrive and push him. And though that Savior never arrived, a challenge came from overseas, with foreign players mocking his status as King. They disparaged the quality of his competition, and theorized that if he were to come to any of their servers, he would be just another face in the crowd. His interest piqued, hackles raised, fires lit once more, he took it upon himself to meet this challenge to his authority, his position as King of Kings. He transferred servers, always on a new character, a new class, a new name, before grinding from obscurity in the crowd to the top of the ladder. Japan, Korea, China, Russia. He conquered servers like knocking over dominoes, always pioneering new schools of thought regarding the "meta" of the game. Finally, having traveled across the world, the final stop before his grand reunion back into North America, he started his European Server Conquest, unaware of the fateful implications it would bring about. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks.. [attr="class","skill"]Bounty: Passive skill. After a completed PvP thread, if the Hitman was victorious in battle, they gain an amount of gold equal to the amount that they acquired from their posts. The PvP thread is then locked after this bonus is applied. To apply this bonus, PvP fights cannot be solo threads versus NPCs. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it.
