It wasn't often that Capsule experienced regret over her choice of main class, but when she did… 'Maybe I should have been a Race of Ritual.' The boost to magic stats and surely higher MP output sounded sexy as hell right about now, especially since she was running on virtually no mana right now. The redhead sighed as she plopped down on her pile of cushions.
The party she had gotten herself out of after an awkward "dungeon" run had been so demanding! "Use this, use that, why don't you have Mana Channeling?!" Ugh. She fell back onto her makeshift bed, tempted to just lie there for a few hours and sleep. Fiver snuggled against her stomach, almost making her give in to the temptation, but in the end she resisted and pushed him into her lap. Instead of wasting a skill slot on Mana Channeling, why didn't someone just invent mana potions? Hell, even she could give it a shot, though she had little idea of how to start, or even if she would need the help of an alchemist. Surely mana shards would be enough, right? Well, even if it didn't, it would not hurt her to try. It seemed odd to have healing items but no mana potions in a game.
Fiver growled softly as she leaned forward to remove something from her magic bag. The items she pulled out were two of the mana fragments she had purchased a while ago. She had done so on a whim, even though she had no real use for them - until now. The fragments would supposedly melt at the touch of skin, which could either make her life very hard or very easy.
She decided to do things the "easy" way, which did not include banging apart a mana fragment. Capsule pushed Fiver out of her lap to get up and retrieve a bowl. The rabbit hopped back into his spot when she sat down again, now twitching his little whiskers in annoyance. She leaned forward, placed the bowl down in front of her, and carefully extracted a fragment from its pouch with a set of tweezers. The fragment was brought hovering over the bowl, where she carefully prodded it with the tip of a finger. It fell apart almost instantly, breaking out of its fragile crystal form to fall in a gloopy mess into the bowl. It…looked pretty damn unappetizing, is what it looked like. It looked even worse when a second crystal was added to the mix.
