Falcon Armor [3 piece set]

A simple leather or cloth armor crafted by fledgling tailors. It is crafted from basic materials and isn't that much better than an equivalent beginner item, but it's a start. The Tailor that crafts this item may rewrite its name and description. Whips can be crafted by this recipe as well. Additionally, a Beginner Equipment can be upgraded to a higher level by performing a Equipment craft with the item in question replacing the Cheap Fabric.

Here he was inside of an old building he had come across, the owner was nice enough to let him use it for his private work, the young red head samurai had taken his scabbard from his waist setting it down at the table nearby the one he was not going to be using. Today he lacked a shirt, he was done wearing that beginner equipment chain mail, and shirt it was no good it was time for him to put his tailor skills to the test. It was time he made himself a decent armor, he would start with the torso piece the first thing Bunji had done was measure himself mainly his torso both vertical length, and horizontal girth of his waist, and chest he wrote all the information down on a piece of paper making sure to get all the information down in his mind he already had the idea of the armor set up. He would need the materials he had gathered this time being quite a few, he started with some cheap fabric he had gathered to pretty much make the padding that would keep the armor comfortable to wear, he would work at this fabric stretching it, and stitching it together at key points where he would need flexibility to come into play, mainly around the waist where he would turn, and the shoulders he would make sure to measure every time just so he was on the right track here. The male would keep working it until the base was done, once that was set he would begin to work the leather he had managed to get his hands on, he would begin to cut apart the leather into specific sizes so that it would layer over one another making a decent defensive armor for his torso.

He continued to separate the leather pieces until he was satisfied with it, now it was time to work the layers over the cloth he would use the leather to of course put together the outside piece of the armor, the one everyone would see lucky for him this leather was dyed a deep black color wasn't cheap but he managed to throw together the gold to do that. He would slowly begin to stitch together the very piece of leather making sure to overlay them perfectly well as perfectly as he could manage. While doing this he kept attention on the outer detail of the armor making sure to get the shape, and the design he wanted for it. This one being a torso piece that will latch together at the shoulders, they remained curve as they snuggled onto the shoulders concealing them as well as protecting them, he was aiming for some flexibility so he would have to keep in mind he didn't want this armor to be heavy hence the decision to use leather. He would work his way down to the waistline of the armor overlaying leather still making sure he was getting the right shape, and making sure he was keeping everything as neat as possible he continued to work away at it. Turning it over Bunji began to work on the back of the armor this time using the same technique but with more fluidity behind his movements. The back of the armor would curve slightly to give some support to the back, yes the armor was meant to be carried mainly by the upper body but if he laid down he didn't want any sharp edged digging into his spine, so he made sure it was nice, curved, and smoothed on the inside. Soon he could add the silk padding to the shoulder area, chest, and back to allow the armor to cushion even more even in times of impact.

Letting the armor stand on its own for a few minutes he stood a few feet from it staring at it quietly, "Perfect" he said as he approached the armor again this time grabbing a handful of silk he would begin to work the raw material using his experienced hands to manipulate it so that he could make some decent patting for the shoulder portion of the armor. Once it was set he would work it into the shoulder portion using one hand to hold it in place, and another hand to stitch it into place so it remained securely there once he was done with that he would work his hands at the rest of the armor, little by little shaping it making sure the measurements fit as he kept at it. Bunji sliding his hands across the inside of the armor feeling the soft cloth, with a frown he noticed some of the leftover silk he could spare, unhooking the shoulder hinges he would split the armor then work to layer at least once over the cloth with the silk. Some of it would stick out from under the shoulder portion contrasting against the black leather, "Well it is called the Falcon armor..." he said as he worked the ends of that silk cutting, and trimming making it seem like feathers sticking out from under the armor. He kept working the armor now just making sure to get all the parts right adding a aesthetics here, and there to make the armor more individualized.  Once he was done he stepped back staring over the torso part, a smile on his face "Well, one part down...almost" he said with a chuckle as he stepped forward towards the armor running his hands over its surface admiring his handy work he was getting better at this wasn't he? Well either way he wanted to add one more thing, and that was a high collar to the armor he would begin to stitch it into place pretty much a large flexible piece of leather that would circle from the right side of his chin all the way to the opposite end from behind his head, he would carve a few engravings into the leather just to make it a bit pleasing to the eyes.

"All done!" he said stepping away from the torso piece of the armor, his red eyes moving up, and down observing every inch of it this thing had really come together well he was rather proud of the accomplishment the man stepped in grabbing the side of the armor, and setting it down near where his katana was. Once he had done that he would step back to the workshop table, he would begin to measure his forearm, it was time to work on the second set of the armor this one was going to involve protection to his forearm, and top of the hand the red head Fox Tail would begin to work quietly on the project. He would take a piece of leather molding it to the shape of his forearm working on it best he could the darkened leather easily folding with the force of his hands. He would continue to mold the leather piece until it was the size he wanted, by cutting off a few ends he trimmed it down to the appropriate length that would be worth while for him to use. Once he did that he would get one of the spare piece of leather trimming it to a wide square shape, once he had done that he would reach the end of the leather gauntlet that would be locking at the wrist he would stitch the square shape to the end of the forearm guard, once he did that he would turn it around begin to work on the bottom of he gauntlet getting the cloth, and silk ready. Once he had stretched out some cloth the full length of the leather he began to stitch it into place getting the edges to combine with the ends of the gauntlet, once he had done that any excess fro the ends until it was all neatly packed together in the confines of the forearm long gauntlet.

Bunji would take in a deep breath as he looked down his almost done piece of work, he would eye the leather gauntlet double checking the guard that would protect the top of his hand, and the rest with a nod he set down the gauntlet then began to work on its replica the one that would be worn on the other arm; he would take hold of the piece of leather using his hands once again to mold it into the shape he wanted it to be, the young fox tail worked tirelessly to get the shape right at least this time it was easier for him since he had the first one nearby to compare. He would finish the overall mold, then stitch in the cloth at the bottom using his thread to secure it in place he knew he needed far more padding in the armor piece but this was all pretty much the basis of the entire piece, once he was done he grabbed both pieces then would grab some silk, rolling it around itself he used it to push through the gauntlet layering it over the cloth he had already set up he would work the silk all the way to one end and the next until it was neatly snuggled into place. He would stitch the silk into place working his way up to the top first, then stitching along the side leaving a nice clean stitch every time he repeated the process with the other gauntlet until he had successfully cushioned each one. Bunji would set the gauntlets aside to begin stripping the leather in order to make strips of it thin enough to fit through the holes of the gauntlets but also thick enough to last a decent amount of time.

With a deep inhale Bunji would lean back on the chair which he sat on staring down at the gauntlets he would take his hands from the lap which they rested quickly on the gauntlets working at the leather strips he would push them through the holes placing the two edges together using smaller strips in order to tie the pieces together, doing this all up the strips all three of them covered with the strips once it was done he would pull the two ends tightening the gauntlet. He would then proceed to do it on the other gauntlet using the strips to repeat the same process, when he was done with that he would turn them over to the top using the sharpened edge of a small tool to carve in the designs he wanted to engrave into the gauntlet he would continue to engrave them each until the design the set into place. With that done he began to work in some aesthetics into the gauntlets working his way up to the end near the elbow he would allow some soft silk to fluff out from that area to allow some cover to that skin, and some more comfort. Once he was done with that he would sit back allowing himself to stare at his finished product his experienced eyes going up, and down the pieces of armor once he was doing this he would work a few pieces of the armor trimming down, and making sure it was proper size. Once he was satisfied he would lean back resting his hands behind his back letting his fingers interlock as he yawned in relaxation.

With the gauntlets completed he would set them aside to rest them by the torso piece of the armor, turning his attention to the last piece he began to measure it his shins so that he could make the decent shin guards that he planned to use. The man began to measure the girth of three different areas of his leg from the ankle up to the bottom of the knee, he would then measure length wise when he was done he would jot down the measurements on a piece of paper then begin working on the leather to begin to shape it to the type of guard he wanted. Each shin guard could be made of three pieces, each piece would be a different length the two that would be on the outside would be about an inch smaller then the thick center piece he would trim, and work these pieces until they were the right size. Once he had done that he would began to use thread to stitch them all together making sure the leather was strongly bonded to prevent it from falling apart during battle, or form him just walking around. He would work the black dyed leather until he had the shape he wanted. The experienced tailor would then turn the piece over to begin working on the appropriate padding that would help keep the leather from pushing against his shin, even if he was wearing this over his pants he could not risk getting some burn from the friction. Bunji would lay out the leather the length of the shin guard then begin to stitch it all together best he could with the thread. Making sure to cover enough of the inner shin guard he would then get some of the leftover silk turning it into long bundles that would be stitched along the surface of the top portion of the shin guard, again for extra padding especially near the knee.

Now it was time to work the leather straps into this shin guard, he would begin to punch holes into the side of the shin guards using a sharpened tip of a knife to tear, and dig into the side of the shin guards doing his best to make a hole big enough for the leather straps to fit in it. Bunji would begin working the straps into the holes pulling them through, using the full length to slide across the front of the shin guard so that he could find the other end, and pull it through there bringing the two ends together on the inside of the shin guard he would hold them together with one hand. Then once he had securely held it in place he would use another strap to tie around those held ends, making sure to tighten them neatly in a tunnel of strong leather, he would test it pulling the ends to tighten them. With a nod to himself he would continue to work his way down repeating this process with each set of holes, until he had successfully attached three leather straps to the shin guard, once he had completed that he would set it down to the side. He would let it sit at the side, he was done with that one time to start on the next one Bunji began to work the leather again shaping it, and trimming it so that he could allow himself to work the shin guard to the same shape as the other. He would use the other as a sample, working his hands around it making sure he got the right shape; he would stitch the cloth into place so that he could get that padding he wanted, and the silk as well up top near the bottom of the knee.

Bunji was working his hands down the holes of the shin guard using it to pull the leather straps through it, crossing them to the front of the shin guard so that he would pull them out the other end this way he was able to repeat the process he had done with the other straps allowing him to tie it into place so he could have a tightening mechanism for his shin guards. Bunji would finish that off turning it over, to begin grinding in the designs to the shin guard giving it the looks he wanted to give it so that it would have the look he wanted it to have. The young tailor would work tirelessly being as detailed as he could, making sure his hand would work the leather shin guards properly so that he would be able to wear them comfortably, he was done with the entire set! The red haired fox tail would lean back sighing in relief as he wrapped up the project, he would allow himself to relax on the chair with a deep breath. His chain mail armor was gone, he would throw on the torso piece, strap on the forearm protectors, and slipped on the shin guards tightening each one into place for the right fit. Bunji would smirk as he eyed his new armor, it wasn't much but hell it was better than the old gear 4e was wearing!
