[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]HATTER [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME:Alfred Blackwall [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 24 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Gilbert Nightray, PANDORA HEARTS [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Blue [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Alfred is a tall dark haired figure, with a dark expression to fit. His entire appearance seems to give off a cold air that rejects everything around it, yet at the same time draws those into it, like a moth to a flame. Why is he as such? It's the nature of his business really. The world needs those who are willing to go out and stain themselves in black and red. Tired golden eyes adorn a face that has seen much troubles in its time, only ever relaxing in the comfort of friends and tobacco. While the real world might see a thug in a suit, in the world of Elder Tale, Alfred adorns the black garb of a noble swordsman, taking the role of guard for hire. His way of dress is regal, and accents a certain posture of nobility and strength. When one looks at the Alfred of Elder Tale, they may call him the black knight of London. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Alfred is cool and assertive, a man who leads not with love but with certainty of victory. That's why it was he and others like him that were selected to lead in the darker underbelly of London's business world. He wasn't some pencil-pusher, no. Alfred is a man who does what he must, because it's his job to do so. People are many, and that number grows ever constantly, so what's the problem in ridding the world of a certain class of filth? Alfred isn't above getting his hands dirty, in fact he's quite desensitized to the whole matter. Why do people deserve what they get? What did they do? Alfred doesn't care. A job is a job. Under that thick skin of serious business and dark mystique is a soul with little regard to the world around him. It's not that he hates the world or anything, he just doesn't care. People always talk about wanting to give something back to the world, but what about the people who had everything taken from them by that very same world? The best one can do is look out for themselves and make a pretty penny. At least that's what he tries to believe. But, in the end we all have our fantasies don't we? In a world of harsh reality, there is always an escape, and for Alfred, it was a pass-time even someone like him couldn't escape. Yes, the common medium of entertainment in this world, video games, was how Alfred escaped his dark world. In Elder Tale, a game where any man or woman could be as so desired, Alfred's truest desires roared to life. A world where people desired his sword not for violence but for protection, and where everyone could be united in camaraderie and adventure. It was a deep contrast to Alfred's real world, and so he deigned to fit into it as best he could. in Elder Tale, He is the Hatter, a faithful guardian who stalks the roads of the forgotten kingdom, protecting travellers from the misdeeds of player killers and monsters alike. A black knight looking for redemption in a world both fake and real. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Blackwall is a name in London few wish to acknowledge as an existing house of nobility. Why is that you might ask? Well for starters, they are what you would call the cleaners of the british aristocracy. Take that title as you may, but it essentially means that if there is trouble amidst the status quo, it is the Blackwalls who come and rebalance the scales. "The Dogs of Parliament" they were called, for it was more often than naught the general consensus of Britains political leaders which guided the hand of the Blackwalls. Now, consider these facts and you might conclude "Cleaner" to be a more... kind way of stating their occupation. The truth is that the Blackwall family is nothing but a group of sanctioned killers, and any son born into their family should be considered dangerous. Enter Alfred, born 1993 to one Elias and Maribeth Blackwell, the then current generation of hired criminals in London's dark corners. Alfred was no different from any other boy born in such conditions. Secrets, rumors, and more than a few dirty words hung about this boys presence, but in the end it would all come to light... or perhapsbe further shrouded in the black. Alfred grew up like most priveliged children, but with a difference in that when they taught him how to fence, they taught him to kill, not disarm. So you can guess what happens afterwards. Alfred grew up with money, power, and a shattered moral compass. His teen years were spent taking advantage of these circumstances, until it was clear that Parliament's newest dog needed to be reigned in. One day, Alfred's reign of terror just stopped. Rumors were abuzz throughout any place he held influence as to where he could be. To them it was a relief, but to Alfred, it was a living nightmare. The boy was thrown into a rather Spartan style of discipline, locked away from society as they beat and prod him until he finally was able to fight back. By then though, the lesson in humility was learned, and Alfred returned home entirely different. His attitude was cold, yet fitting of his station. His eyes were calculating, yet gleemed a certain je ne sais quoi about them. The young Blackwall had becomed a disciplined warrior for his country. That's when his real work began. By the time Alfred had returned, he was at the age of adulthood, and his family was able to send him off to "work" without any fear of childhood trauma. It was an interesting life for him. Student of Oxford by day, wetwork thug by night. But that wasn't the life Alfred realized he wanted in that period of separation from the city. When you realize what you've been doing all your life is wrong, you have three choices, go on living, try and fix what you've done, or end it before you make things worse. Alfred decided there was no fixing what he had done, but he didn't feel like giving the ghost just yet. So he kept going, deciding that he could live the life he was given, but under his own terms. If he really wanted to feel good about himself though... well there were alternatives. In came Elder Tale, the hit MMO RPG of the time. Now Alfred was like any normal boy of that generation, he loved video games. So, what better way to escape your harsh reality than a video game? Alfred decided his free time could be spent playing games if he needed to. fitting it between school and work was tough but hey, who's going to get in a Blackwall's face over how he spends his time? So years went by with Alfred trying to maintain any vestiges of a normal life until the day of the Novasphere expansion. At that point, what was a social life? Alfred decided that day was a day for locking oneself in a room and not coming out. Little did Alfred know he wouldn't be coming out ever. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] |

The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Needlework: Crafting -- Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Bounty: Subclass -- Passive skill. After a completed PvP thread, if the Hitman was victorious in battle, they gain an amount of gold equal to the amount that they acquired from their posts.
