Status: Healthy / Rested~ Icyferno stepped into the small private room he'd rented for three hours from the Person of the Land running the inn, leaving the door open for the person behind him to follow through as well. He'd been waiting for someone to take up his request to forge a new set of armor for some time and the tailor who did just that was an Assassin called Kumori. As they negotiated the trade, Icyferno remembered that he needed a «Satchel Bag» in order to gain quick access to his potions and had requested it of the tailor as well. As his way of saying thanks for accepting the sudden addition, he rented a room at an inn not too far from the spot he'd waited at in order to allow Kumori and himself to work on the agreed items in peace. It wasn't exactly the most luxurious place, but at least it was decent and relatively affordable. It was about the size of seven tatami mats, furnished with some basic furniture such as the weathered wooden table in the center and a few wooden chairs. Another door led off to what Icyferno believed was the privy and a . The window at the other end of the room opened out onto the streets below, which was practically devoid of Adventurers. The place he'd chosen was not one often frequented by other Adventurers; there were no other facilities in this area apart from inns, with the rest being empty buildings. He chose a seat at random, plopped himself down and began to pull out ingredients. He'd learned how the other Pharmacists prepared a «Medicinal Tablet» but had yet to actually make one himself. At least he remembered how to make it, it would've been awkward if he had come all this way only to embarrass himself. " Well, hopefully I'll get this right on my first try, I haven't actually made one of these tablets before," he said to Kumori, trying to be more friendly. He wasn't exactly great with strangers. Everyone reacted differently to the same things, and for all he knew the Assassin before him might prefer to work in silence. He'd met such people before in real life, and they had simply just ignored him and inadvertently created an awkward atmosphere. He hoped it didn't come down to that though, he needed all the friends he could get since he'd obviously missed that part at the start of the game. By now, most of the Adventurers had probably already fallen into their own cliques, leaving behind some stragglers like him. Not that he was terribly bothered by it, but it was probably for the best if he tried to make some friends in case he ever needed a party to complete some quest or dungeon. It was definitely a terrible experience doing those with total strangers. ~ Word count: 475 Total word count (Pharmacist): 475 Tags: KumoriNotes: Filler post to start off the thread, don't mind me. Should I purposely fail the first time to extend the thread or succeed on my first try? Also, feel free to suggest a better thread title if it bothers you since I didn't know what kind of title would suit this thread. [EDIT]Lol forgot to tag

| Skills: | : Word Count : 0516 OOC Notes: It's up to you, for the failing. If you can't think of anything for the third post, I would just fail it and then retry on your third post to get the crafting done. Also, I suck at making thread titles too... so this one is fine :3 Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Icyferno had commissioned Ryuu to do some work for him. He had already made the armor to his specifications, however he also wanted a Satchel Bag as a means for quick accessing of items that could fit into it. He had called him in, in order to craft together so that they could inspect each other’s work. Since this was Ryuu’s first time crafting the item, he figured he wouldn’t mind another set of eyes, especially since Ryuu prided himself in his quality of work. He had brought his material to the room that Icyferno had rented for a few hours. It was large enough to sit the both of them comfortably and had the tools necessary to create what they needed. Unfortunately for Ryuu, he wouldn’t be able to tell the potency of the tablet he was making. All he could do was trust that the pharmacist knew what he was doing. If he didn’t, Ryuu would probably find a way to sue him. Was that even possible? Civil Suits? I mean… who would enforce it? Speaking of suits, there was a show that was called by that very name, several years ago. He was reminded of that very show and how even frauds could somehow make into the big leagues. That was, only if you were a complete genius and could memorize everything by just reading it once. Oh how Ryuu really wished he had that power, but we’re digressing.
He waved to the other adventurer and set his materials on the table that he was given to work on. “Aye, same here. Hopefully you’ll like the outcome of your satchel as well. Any changes you need me to do can be made instantly, just let me know what you need me to do,” he said as he pulled up the crafting menu. He looked down and looked for the recipe and the instructions on making it. As soon as he laid it out and highlighted the Satchel Bag recipe, the blueprints and contents began appearing out of thin air, allowing him to see how he was to proceed. He began by cutting the pieces of cloth he needed to make the bag and the cover of the cloth as well as setting aside the leather to be used later on to apply decoration, belts, and other shenanigans to the bag. Pockets were important as well, as he began placing several smaller pieces of cloth to be used as bags. He chose a very plain tannish and brownish color to make the bag, since it wouldn’t attract too much attention. “Hopefully this is an okay color for you. I took the liberty of choosing generic colors, since it’ll be shown on your body. I wouldn’t want it to attract too much attention, especially from thieves…” Was thievery possible? Another good question that he wondered a lot about. He didn’t carry anything except for his inventory, and usually his inventory was locked, so no one could access it. This truly was a good question, but regardless, he had to focus on the job at hand.

Status: Healthy / Rested~ Icyferno began by opening a small bottle and shaking out two Impure Tablets, which he dropped into his mortar to crush into powder, making sure that he had used the correct tablets before he began his work. He may have no reputation to protect, but he knew that a trade was a trade; he needed to, at the very least, hold up on his end of the bargain. In the end, it all came down to trust. Neither party had any way of verifying the authenticity of each others' products, so it all boiled down to their first impression of each other. They had just met and had no prior knowledge about each other; both had to take a leap of faith and trust each other. He wasted no time and began grinding the tablets into a fine powder. He had no idea how fast Kumori worked, but he knew that he'd still have to heat the final product before it was ready for consumption. When Kumori asked Icyferno whether the color was fine, he glanced up briefly from his grinding, his hands pressing into the mortar without missing a beat. " Err, yes, that's a good color. It'll stand out less. Hopefully all the thieves will decide to chase after all the rich People of the Land with their fancy clothes and fat purses." While he hadn't seen many of the People of the Land whom he could actually call 'rich', he'd seen enough young girls wearing expensive clothing and attended to by a couple of guards to know that there were definitely wealthy merchants in Londenium. He'd also noticed that Kumori's main level was a lot higher than his. Perhaps he should really stop being lazy and train harder. At this rate, I'll be one of the lowest mid-level players around, he thought as he continued grinding the tablet ever closer to powder. " Say, have you been to the Sarum expedition camp yet? I'm planning on going there to help out within the next few days." It was probably a dumb question, though. He doubted the Assassin would have been able to reach his current level by training in Windsor Greatwood and the Northen Marshlands of Thames. No doubt Kumori would have already been to the camp before. Maybe he was just bad at starting conversations. ~ Word count: 387 Total word count (Pharmacist): 475 + 387 = 862 Tags: KumoriNotes: Post 1 of 3 for «Medicinal Tablet»

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0302 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Ryuu began picking buttons that would go well with the satchel. They were close in color to the light tan of normal leather, but the buttons were much darker in order to show that it was a bit more of a contrast so that the buttons were visible for the user. He then began fashioning the belts to strap down parts of the bag, because sometimes buttons weren’t enough. The main storage area, he used a zipper to open and close it, as it was the easiest to open and close. It would allow faster and easier access and would cut down the time it would take to grab what you needed. After all the little pieces were sent into place for the zippers and the small pockets, it was obvious this bag was coming into shape, and all that he needed to do was sew the sides so that it resembled more of a satchel than a large flat piece of leather with pockets. He then asked a peculiar question about Sarum and whether he had been there before. Ryuu nodded. “Several times already… The more people who go out there, the faster we finish exploring Sarum. It’s not an easy task, but when you’re out there, and you have a person or a few people you can count on, it’s not too hard,” he said to him. As he placed the pieces for the belts into a boiling pot, he looked over at the other crafter.
“Just a word of warning, though, those Golem Phalanxes are a bit of a scare. They’re level 20, but I tried to solo one not too long ago, but I ended up dying. They’re Elite monsters, so I underestimated them. Make sure you have someone who can take for you,” he said to him.

Status: Healthy / Rested~ The grinding done, Icyferno emptied his mortar into a small stone bowl and dumped the contents of a flask of Impure Solvent in right after it. He then mixed them together with a spoon until he was mashing a gooey substance. He mentally checked the recipe again. If I recall correctly, I have to mold this into tablets and let them roast over a fire for a bit. He put on some thin leather gloves prepared just for this kind of work and grabbed a fistful of the stuff. Clenching his fist, he let a small portion pop out at the top. He picked it up with his other hand and held it close to his eye for inspection. The size was fine, unless Kumori had a small throat and couldn't swallow or something. He'd heard most people engrave a personal symbol on their products; something he lacked. It was not that he couldn't afford an engraving tool, it was just that he couldn't think of what kind of symbol he should use. After all, it wasn't something he could change on a whim; in real world terms, it would be something akin to the logos of various companies. Well, nothing he could do about that. He could only hope that the inspiration for a design would come to him someday. As he quickly got used to molding the tablets, he picked up his pace, dropping all of the tablets onto a pan as he thought about what Kumori had just told him. " Well, I was hoping I could join a party once I reached there. Then again, it's never easy to work with strangers, you never know what they're thinking. Heck, they could even be leading the team into a PK ambush." He'd never met anyone who had actually did that, although he hoped he'd never get the chance. " I'm probably going to help map out the area for a while before I start fighting though. It never hurts to have your escape routes all planned out for when things get rough, and I doubt a sketchy map would point out all the little details and possible hiding spots anyway. Thanks for the warning though, I'll try not to engage one alone." ~ Word count: 373 Total word count (Pharmacist): 475 + 387 + 373 = 1235 Tags: KumoriNotes: Post 2 of 3 for «Medicinal Tablet»

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0384 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Ryuu took the remaining material and began piecing the satchel together. It wasn’t too difficult to do. He began sewing and connecting everything that needed connecting and making sure that everything was secure when he placed them where they needed to be. He began making the finishing touches as he sewed everything tight and in place. He then began testing it by placing bricks into the larger bag to see if it would hold, and from his stress test, he could tell that it’d take a lot of weight before it would break. He was satisfied with the amount that it held and began sizing the straps. He punctured holes into the straps so that it could be adjusted to the lengths that he wished specified and placed the belt buckle on it. He added a softer padding on the strap so that it would not be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. He then added a hardened piece of leather to the bottom of the main bag and then placed soft leather on top in order to pad whatever would go inside the bag. The harder leather would protect the bag from any hard throws or protect the objects from breaking on the inside, while the soft part was used as a sort of cushion in order to give a bit of bounce to each drop so that it would be harder to break any fragile objects, should the bag fall to the ground. He did the same with each pocket so that they all had some sort of padding. On the strap, he sewed in a stylized F to notate who crafted it. There was personal meaning behind it, but it was better if most people didn’t know why he put an F. He’d just keep it a secret if anyone ever asked, except for a select few.
As he finished it, he inspected and nodded at his work. He was happy with it. “Aye, if you need someone to party with, just go to Sarum and see if you can find any opens. I’m sure there are plenty. And if you need someone to come along, just see if I’m available,” he said to him. He presented the bag to him in its complete state. “Hope you like it,”

Status: Healthy / Rested~ Icyferno had prepared a heat source this time; unlike the campfires he'd had to start in the past, he had recently purchased a flat wick kerosene lamp as an improvised heater; not that he was sure the oil was kerosene or not. Perhaps it was some Elder Tale equivalent? It mattered not, as long as it got the job done. He lit the lamp and promptly covered the lamp with the pan, something he could do because of the air holes in the glass. It wasn't exactly what he had in mind when he set out to look for a heating source, but he'd been unable to find a portable stove anywhere, so he had to make do. As Kumori finished up on the satchel, he realized that he could have been more time efficient had he started heating the pan before he started shaping the tablets. Well, that was embarrassing oversight, hopefully Kumori didn't notice that. Fortunately, Kumori decided to do a stress test on the satchel, giving his half-baked tablets more time to cook. His tablets finished just as Kumori was about done with his stress tests. Lifting the pan off the flame, he twisted a knob to shut off the fire and simply poured the tablets into a jar of water. Peering into the water, he checked that it didn't simply dissolve. Fortunately, it didn't. If it did, it would probably mean that he had added too much water beforehand, which basically amounted to him having to do it all over again. He sieved out the water and carefully slid all of the tablets into an empty glass jar before pulling out a pen from his pocket and writing down the specifics of the medicine he had created by reading the description provided by the system. While he could do this with items concerning his craft, he had not the ability to do so with other objects such as the Satchel Kumori had made. Perhaps I can see the level when I check it in my inventory, assuming it even shows up in my inventory. Elder Tales was no longer a game where one had to equip items to hold them. Heck, he could probably fight with a spoon if he wanted to. If I was cheated... he shook the thought aside. The other party would probably suspect him of fraud just as much as he did, since this was their first time meeting each other. Yet the other person seems to have a friendly demeanor, so perhaps his suspicions were misplaced. The tablets dried quickly as they were stilled hot from the flame earlier. By the time he sealed the jar, they were already lukewarm. " It's great, the design is simple enough, unlike some of the other bags I've seen on the market which had extra straps and buttons for no particular reason." As he received the bag from Kumori, he handed Kumori the jar of «Medicinal Tablet». He flipped open his inventory and briefly checked his inventory. Well, that settles the question of whether it shows up. Looks like Kumori kept to his end of the bargain. The trade was complete. Time to head to Sarum, I've wasted enough time here.
