MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Han was back in Sarum once again, but to her surprise, she saw that the Combat quests for Sarum were piling up faster than everyone could take care of them. Wonder why everyone’s avoiding Combat and just merely going in for either Crafting or Scouting… she thought with a shake of her head as she looked over something that was well within her level; and after scouring the ads that were posted on the giant board, saw that there was one that was reasonable enough for her level, but was taken slightly aback due to the description. It was like someone was either making a fool out of the quest, or the quest poster just had a weird, ‘gaijin’ sense of humor that only fellow Japanese players stuck in this side of the world would understand. Snickering to herself, she then plucked it from the board and then saw that it would be better to have someone go along, so she then clicked on the ‘Accept’ prompt that was flashing in her face; and then set up a ‘sign’ with the title reading something like this:
‘Requesting for Help to eliminate 4 Golem Sentries and 1 Golem Sentinel’
She was secretly thankful that Bunji was giving her English ‘reading lessons’ so that if in case she found herself alone, she could at least be able to communicate with the other players that were wandering around the server without running into the potentially awkward language barrier that was still there; but thankfully collapsing due to the additional English-language lessons that she’d been getting from her other friends. At least they’re helping, she thought to herself as she then proceeded to lean against the gigantic board, wondering if anyone would take heed of her signage. To pass the time, she then began whistling, something she’d been doing quite a lot of lately because there was little to no music in her life at the moment. And besides do they know how to make music boxes in Elder Tale so that I at least have it with me? She thought to herself, watching the crowd walk, amble, or shuffle by in some cases.

Jojo had awoken herself to the easy ways of this world, the world that she did not care much for since being stuck here. She missed her grandmother and grandfather back in Japan. It was something she did not anticipate when coming here, when making her character and even more so utilizing her in such a way that she came to the realization that this world is potentially similar yet obscurely different. Made her head ache when thinking of it, and yet every time her mind went around to thinking of this old timed world she found herself in a sense of urgent peace to seeking and realizing just what was out there for her. It was these things that brought her to the Sarum missions, missions that twice now she was on board with the scouting parties and once with a much too large combat party she led herself to leaving that party due to its sheer size making her uncomfortable. She did not like having to be in large groups.
Jojo now found that she was back at the center, looking upon them individual and ideally a different realm of what there was and what there was not in the same light. She happened to find there was some severity to her dismal existence here until locating and seeing what she needed. Therein someone was calling out for help on a combat mission that was not previously picked up. Jojo looked at the individual calmly, her eyes peering upon them and only smiling that much more when approaching in her white clad outfit similar to a straitjacket, only the buckles that would confine her body would be undone thereby unbinding the movements that would previously be restricted. Jojo herself liked being able to move, if any consultation to this fact could be seen by the sword she adorned on her left hip with the simple shortness to the blade’s sheath also aided in such understanding.
Jojo’s eyes looked calmly, smiling in the effect as she waved to the girl with a smile. Her dialect and accent resembling that of the Okinawa region of Japan while the language she spoke had to be English due to that being the dominant language here in this server. “Hello there, are you still looking for people to aid in your little quest?” Jojo absolutely loved the idea of helping others, as that was still her best ability as seen in her quest to be the most powerful battle cleric out there, which required her to prolong and continue her available abilities in learning and utilizing the healing skills along her. That was always something useful for her and again she only smiled more, her green hair blowing along the wind, “I’m Kaguya Jojo, pleasure to meet you.” The introduction and question out of the way, all that was left was the responses to her speaking.

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | The voice that had caught Han’s attention made her look up out of her stupor, for she was quite surprised; even if the owner of the voice was speaking in English, there was still this ‘accent’ she couldn’t pick out; she always got her Kyoto dialect mixed up with Osaka; but this one was very different from the two. She herself sounded like someone from ‘Tokyo’, but that was neither here nor there when she remembered what the person’s surname was, she slipped back into Japanese, out of habit! “Ah, yes I am, I’m still looking for people who can help out. Although if they can understand Japanese all the better,” she said in the native language, finally relieved to not having to say all of her letter “L” sounding like a very severe rolling “R” whenever she spoke in her accented English. “My name’s Yoshizawa Momiji, but please feel free to call me Han, since that’s my in-game nickname,” she said, being unable to resist slipping into the old ways and giving the individual in front of her a deep bow. As she straightened up she noticed that her companion’s hair was a shade of light green so striking it easily stood out; not to mention her eyes as well.
“Never thought there would be more of the familiar world trapped in the wrong server,” she continued on in Japanese, before coughing and reverting to her accented English, “Well, I just saw that this quest was there for some time, so I decided to take it since…well, nobody wants to. I think it’s because of the Sentinel,” she added, the rolling sound becoming more pronounced the longer she spoke in English. “What brings you here to the British server?” she asked once more in Japanese, quickly fiddling around with the Interface that was in front of her and sending her a Party request so that they could get started. “I like working in small groups, so if you want we can just go ahead and get started,” she added, nodding her head towards one of the camp’s exit points, the place where the Sentries and Sentinels always spawned. True, they’re spawning up so much more lately it’s getting so annoying to the point that there’s quests everyday calling for their eradication… she thought to herself as she gave Jojo another bow, but this one was out of sheer force of habit. I really need to add more friends who know the mother language… so I don’t end up getting stuck somewhere without a translator! Went through her mind, waiting for her companion to catch up; even if she’d only taken a few steps out, she stopped and looked back all the same just to make sure she could still follow her.

Jojo recognized the Japanese, as well as the Tokyo accent as her smile only widened and she just widened her eyes when in the approach. She felt the urge to kiss this girl, had the urge to kiss completely and wholly because never before did she meet another Japanese in this server and because of that server difference she had to utilize and always be in a world of English speakers. Jojo went in for the kiss after the girl made her name known, stating that name before Jojo attempted the kiss on the girl’s forehead, probably was too forward to just kiss her lips at the moment when she was still speaking after all. Yoshizawa Momiji, that name itself reminded her of the pop idol out in the real world as well, one she never dared to meet because pop idols were just way above her reach and she wanted no part with them to begin with.
Jojo grinned more though, her eyes on the girl as she blushed lightly with the continual speaking of the Japanese dialect mixing in with the English one. Her smile gave way and she nodded, and once all the speaking was done she smiled and said calmly in the same Japanese dialect with Okinawa roots, “Well there is no worries about speaking mixed with me. We both know Japanese so we should stick to our roots seeing, as we are the only ones with them that I have found in this server. Aside from that,” Jojo went on to accept the party request, seeing that the girl was indeed named Han as the game went but that real name still struck Jojo as she nodded more, “Since you told me your real name, I’ll tell you mine. I am Sukura Clair, and as you can probably guess I am mixed American and Japanese though I was living in Japan and entered this new server its first day before being warped or whatever happened into this place that is now home.”
That was basically her story, her eyes on the girl calmly, “But if it is any easier you can call me whatever you like, so long as I can call you Momo-chan.” She smiled, continuing and probably every time she is in the girl’s presence, to use the Japanese dialect without resorting to anything less or above that situation. Jojo smiled, following after and waving a hand in an apologetic way, “Also sorry about the kiss thing, it has indeed been quite some time before I could have used this language.” She smiled, her eyes on Momo-chan and she only giggled more and then tapped the palm of her hand on her sword’s hilt, a nervous habit for the not so nervous in a way. It was probably just to calm her nerves mostly as she followed along and only smiled calmly in the same effect, “Well after this, would you like to go for some konacha tea by chance? I found an interesting tea shop that actually tastes better than others believe it or not.”

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | She then breathed a sigh of relief; for at least she was now in the company of another who could understand the mother language; no matter how different their dialects sounded, it was still the same words, just with different intonation! What threw her off initially was the fact that after she’d completed her introduction, the other woman came in for a show of affection (more likely it was out of relief) and she let her do it; but she responded with her own! She then gave Kaguya, or Clair a hug in return, for it really felt so alien to be isolated in a server that spoke a different language entirely! Deciding to continue speaking in the ‘mother language’ for the rest of their interaction, she then let the ‘filters’ of her own spoken language ‘turn off’ and she was now more relaxed, speaking more and more Japanese as she got to know the person behind Kaguya (or Clair Sukura, as her real name revealed). Yes, I am definitely sending you a Friend request after this! She thought to herself, nodding to the prospect of having tea after this entire quest was over.
“Yes, I’d actually love to go for tea after this. It’s been a long time since I’ve had something that remotely resembles it. I’m actually missing the taste of matcha right now, unpleasant as it was at first…to be honest English is still so foreign to me, and they keep asking me why I keep pronouncing the letter ‘L’ like a long rolling letter ‘R’,” she said with a chuckle, taking the position of point and marching on ahead, keeping her eyes peeled for any sign of the Sentries and Sentinel they needed to get rid of. She then began fiddling through her Interface and re-read the mission details as they headed deeper into the landscape unexplored, looking for any sign of trouble. “Apparently, these Sentries have a ‘leader’… it reminds me of the super-sentai shows back home. Lackeys following a leader…” she said, unable to resist chuckling. She then remembered what Oxford had done before, and began picking up stray pebbles and tossing them in front of her, to see if they would bounce off anything and alert her to any unusual presence.
So far, so good… she thought, ducking down and walking forward with a more cautious step now, tossing more pebbles in front of her in order to check if there was anything…the last pebble she’d tossed hit something that didn’t sound like the ground, in fact there was an echoing noise that reverberated for a few seconds and then, it suddenly rose out of the earth, as if growing like a tree! First it was the head, then the arms…and then it began shuffling forward. “Looks like we found one of ‘em,” she said, quickly flipping her Inventory open and holding her dagger in her right; kunai in her left; and then charged forward with a Quick Draw attack! She knew that if she struck first, there would still be an element of surprise that they had, no matter how short it was. “Be careful, I think the others are just around here!” she continued, quickly, transferring the kunai to her mouth, and then activating her Deadly Dance technique, jumping and spinning through the air before coming down on the Sentry with a downward slash.
