The same can be said about his face with a somewhat soft, smooth looking skin and light, soft expression. For hairstyle, it reaches the shoulder blades at the back and is usually tied up and kept over the shoulder, in the front. The sides are shorter, only just reaching the shoulders whilst the fringe is only at about nose length. Has a white skin tone and obsidian colored, large eyes which reveal expressions more easily than small, slanted eyes. Posture is usually straight and almost never slouched. Because of his feminism, usually wears his armor almost all the time and never really talks. In private, and where no one knows who he is, will be more relaxed in casual clothing and talk willingly. Usually saves armor for when he is in a party. Tucked in with his wavy hair is his fox ears. They stay down and make him look human but can spring up if his emotions spike, causing them to spring up. He keeps his tail/s hidden away majority of the time, usually revealing them when he is alone so that he can relax. If he does have it out, he usually tucks it up his shirt or wraps it around his waist like a belt. Real Life Appearance The only main difference between the game and real appearance is that the real appearance has shorter hair and is extremely feminine. In game self is an attempt to appear more masculine while remaining himself since he had troubles with his appearance in the past. His real height is 5'9" [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Pwyll, nickname Yuu, is a guy who has a positive and outgoing personality. He is almost always smiling, even in tense situations when he shouldn't because he has no idea what other face to make. Even when he seems to have no expression, his lips are just every so slightly shaped to make him look like he is smiling just that tad bit. His soft expression makes him an approachable person to all and his voice which has that hint of femininity brings warmth to the heart. Quite often, he is mistaken for a girl so he attempts to dress manly, or as best as he can while still liking his appearance. Overall, he is a lovable guy who is hard to hate (unless you hate this personality in general) but he is also someone who is hard to take seriously. Since his appearance differs so much from the idealistic 'masculine soldier', he does his best to train out of sight of people when he isn't wearing his armor. Separate from this, he has a lone warrior personality which comes into play when he dons the plate armor to hide his appearance. This is usually how he appears to people since he prefers to be seen as someone trustworthy and dependable rather than as a lovable, need to be protected guy who looks like a girl. Not talking and speaking only through gestures, Yuu acts as a solo player at times as the knight if he plays during the day when people can see him. It can also mean he doesn't really trust the people he is around. Like this, he has a stern personality and fights to get things done. He doesn't hesitate, he is strict and quite protective of the people around him. Although a Swashbuckler isn't suited for protecting others, he will draw the aggro of monsters to protect his team or players in distress. Around those he can trust implicitly, for example guild members, Yuu doesn't mind fighting alongside them without the plate armor. After all, it is rather stifling and restricting to fight in. He can feel at peace and be unreserved with friends he has gotten to know. He also appears more lazy as well, showing a variety of emotions in front of them compared to the soft and happy/optimistic face that acquaintances see. But there are times where all his personality comes together as he is not in the armor but his expression hardens and shows how dependable he can be, showing a sense of seriousness. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Unlike most gamers who usually have first world problems, Yuu started off with something more serious. He was born in Japan with his parents until the age of three when they moved to England for reasons he never knew. While in England for a couple of years, he grew up and learned English alongside Japanese. Everything seemed to be going well enough, until both his parents died in what was labeled an accident. The whole thing was written off as a house fire, but there were no signs of any one place starting the fire. What had actually happened was his parents were murdered and then house burned down to get rid of the evidence. Yuu had seen the face of the killer, who had told him "if you want revenge, I'll wait for you." Being on the second floor with flames blocking his escape, Yuu jumped from the window and laid on the cold ground staring at the night sky as he waited for help. The fall broke his arm and sprained his ankle, but his main injury was to the head. He lost his memories of the accident and the murders. With no parents or relatives, Yuu was sent to an orphanage. Almost straight away, the other children began bullying him for looking like a girl and because of his odd colored eyes. Whenever this happened, it was always his bunk partner, Leif, who looked out for him. It didn’t take long for Yuu to run to him and treat him like an older brother, hiding behind him whenever something happened and becoming quite reliant on him. They were pretty much inseparable with Yuu hiding behind Leif a lot. There wasn’t a time that passed where they didn’t do something together. As time passed, Yuu began to lose his memories of his life before the orphanage due to his head injury, but it wasn’t completely gone. More like he has forgotten to remember it. He would have some long nights where nightmares woke him up with the image of flames, and he wouldn’t remember the dream. When Leif and Yuu had reached the age of 14, they were adopted by loving parents with the last name Winters. They weren’t particularly rich and more of the middle-class family with no children of their own. Though they loved each other very much, the mother was infertile so they resorted to adoption. They poured all of their love into the two boys, doing whatever they could to make their lives better. The father even learned some basic Japanese so that Yuu could keep up his native language, at least a little. It took a long time of bonding for him to finally step away from Leif’s shadow and open up to others, but he got there eventually. The scrutiny over his appearance was fading as he adjusted, finding it less irritating and no longer letting himself think about it. Building up confidence, so to speak. After being home schooled for some time, the two boys were allowed to go to school to meet other kids of their own age and find their own way in life. Going through school like normal, Yuu was the type that studied a lot and played heaps of sports, doing whatever he wanted and sometimes using his cute looks to play it off and get away with more, leaving chores and stuff to Leif. He wasn’t outstanding in anything, but he was good at everything he did. A jack of all trades, you could say. His best point would probably be his charisma and ability to smooth over tension like nothing. Yuu could cook and clean well, so left the cleaning to Leif and did the cooking instead. While Leif was off cleaning the houses of the girls he was familiar with in high school, Yuu was out studying anything and everything. He took an interest in hypnotism, particularly the memorization they could pull off. He managed to learn enough tricks to increase his unconscious memory space and improve his memorization ability, upping his speed for reading any information and dedicating it to his unconscious memory. He had to revise everything three times in order to retain the information, but it worked. He graduated high school with Bs in everything. Instead of entering college, he went straight in to work at a cafe/bar/restaurant establishment what was quite popular. His work hours were full time, doing at least 40 hours a week, so he was mainly working on week days. The establishment was a cafe from 8am to 5pm where it would turn into a restaurant until 10pm, and then a bar until 12am for those wanting casual drinks. Yuu worked from 10am to 8pm from monday to thursday, then 5pm to 10pm on friday with two weekend shifts of 2 hours, from 10pm to 12am. As a waiter, his pay rate was 6 pounds an hour from ages 18-20, then while he was 21, it was raised to 7.50 pounds an hour. All up, he made £240.00 a week before tax, and then £367.50 a week before tax while he was 21. Half of his earnings went into savings, a fifth to his parents to pay them back for looking after him, then he split the left over 30% of his income between himself and Leif for general spending. His spare time consisted of reading books to dedicate to memory and playing games. Whenever not working, Yuu would be at home with Leif, playing games to pass the time. They use to play music with Yuu doing basic accompaniment on the piano, but times changed. With his pocket money, he bought a console and games for two players, as well as some story based games, and played in his free time when not studying or working or cooking. He would play story games non-stop by himself and then swap to multiplayer games when he and Leif were home at the same time. He still made sure to get enough sleep as well since he loved his job. Although Yuu was better at games, he never once let that get to his head and helped pull his brother up to the same level, explaining things to make things even and never taking advantage if they were against each other. Their relationship had also turned around with Yuu being the older brother now, looking after Leif who was studying earnestly in college for his goal. It was the same in games as he often found himself running ahead, getting a sort of rush and excitement from the gaming. The teamwork between the two was spot on every time, and Yuu trusted Leif to have his back at all times, sometimes not even needing to communicate to understand each other. This progression of gaming with each other eventually led to buying computers and getting into online MMORPG games. It was through that in which they learned of Elder Tales. Taking on extra shift times and spending some less time with his brother and family and sleeping more often, Yuu saved up enough money to buy two copies of the game so the brothers could play. Having it all prepared one day while Leif was at college, it was a surprise for him when he got back. It was just about to go live with the novasphere expansion. The first English Server in the UK. Dual wielding, holds the longsword in the right hand and the katana in the left hand with a reverse grip. Has learned a trick to gain temporary photographic memory, allowing him to recall information he has specifically memorized for up to 12 hours. On top of this, he has expanded his unconscious memory and stored a lot of information in there. He can add to this unconscious memory by using a memorization trick on something once a week for three weeks. This information, although he can't actively recall it, can be accessed when something relating to it is brought up for him. For example, someone asks him something he doesn't remember, but he has in his memory, and will be answer without knowing where he saw it. Not 100% accurate. Memory deteriorates, and information is lost over time. |

With this skill, the Adventurer's natural affinity is idealized into a tangible form. While this toggle skill is active, the character will be able to communicate with animals and monsters. Incoming speech by monsters will appear as subtitles at the bottom of the user's vision. There is a huge variance between being able to notice this effect and actually using it effectively, however. "Nice to meet you" is not the same thing as "Look, fresh meat", for example. At lower levels, the user of this skill will very often mishear monsters' speech and mispronounce their own words, mistakes that might cause hostility if used incorrectly. However, as the user gradually gains experience, they will be able to negotiate with monsters more easily. The Animal Trainer, Fisherman, Druid classes are more aligned with the power of nature and thus higher success rates are gained if the user is one or more of these classes. Monsters at a lower level compared to the user's highest class level also are easier to communicate with. Main Class - Swashbuckler Skills [attr="class","skill"]「Ante Up」 / Tier I - The swashbuckler summons additional weapons from their inventory and claps their hands together to perform this spell. The weapons will then be levitated into the air and controlled by an AI to fight alongside them. Depending on vocal commands, the AI can be designated to either focus on all-out attacking, defensive play, or balance fighting. Maintaining this skill results in a constant drain on the swashbuckler's MP. From Level 1-30, only one weapon can be controlled by this skill. From Level 31-60, two weapons can be controlled. From Level 61-90, three weapons can be controlled. After Level 90, four weapons can be controlled. [attr="class","skill"]「Discard」 / Tier I - A technique designed to reduce aggro for the swashbuckler. As soon as the opponent draws near, the swashbuckler performs a somersault over the target's head, then uses the blunt end of the blade to spin the opponent sideways. This sudden disorientation disrupts a monster's thought process, often resulting in its battle AI resetting. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]「Fencer Style」 / Tier I - A passive skill that activates when the swashbuckler is only equipping a single one-handed weapon and nothing in their off hand, increasing the attack damage of their one-handed weapon. Dual wielding has its merits in granting the swashbuckler with an opportunity to apply two different effects to the opponent upon a successful hit, while fighting with the Fencing Style sacrifices this versatility for a greater form of fighting stability. [attr="class","skill"]「Fold Step」 / Tier I - Using this skill, the user's body suddenly is propelled and accelerates in a desired direction. It is often used as a surprise burst of momentum when delivering an attack or used as a last-ditch dodging maneuver. The only downside to this technique is that once activated, the swashbuckler cannot stop or adjust their trajectory. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 6 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]「High Roller」 / Tier I - The swashbuckler attempts to bridge defense with offense by dodging an incoming attack and curling the body together to make multiple mid-air rolls as they land over to a new position. At the same time, their weapons are pointed outward, cutting at any opponent that tries to reach at them. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]「Mirage Dealer」 / Tier I - Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]「Straights」 / Tier I - A skill with a one-second animation time and five-second cooldown that is very characteristic of its name. This ability causes the Swashbuckler's weapon to glow a golden color as it extends an additional four feet for the duration of an attack. It is initiated by suddenly clenching the weapon very tightly while in mid-swing or mid-thrust. Ranged weapons and grimoires are not affected by this skill. Players wielding two weapons cannot have both weapons be affected by this skill, so it is best used as a follow-up chained strike to prevent the opponent from keeping their distance. After this skill is used, the weapon's attack value decreases for a few seconds, making it unwise to carelessly spam the skill. [attr="class","skill"]「Dart-Tack Target」 / Tier I - The swashbuckler pricks the target with their weapon four times in quick succession, each strike dealing light damage but moderate aggro. This allows the swashbuckler to temporarily gain the attention of the enemy and serve as an off-tank. While the tanking role is often left to the warrior classes, this skill might serve as a brief respite to the team in order to maintain momentum. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]「Viper Raise」 / Tier I - An attack that targets the arm tendons. A successful hit will result in gradual damage over time due to a bleeding effect, which is accommodated by the wound area seeping out a constant trail of blood. Despite the move's somewhat gory animation, this bleeding effect is fairly minor and scales in a manner similarly to a poison effect. Also, for the next 10 seconds, the target's attack speed will be decreased by 10% due to the pain associated with moving the arms. This skill has a 2 second animation time and a 9 second cooldown. Sub Class - Courtesan Skills [attr="class","skill"]「Allure」 / Tier I - A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels. Crafting Class - Blacksmith Skills [attr="class","skill"]「Heatsink」 / Tier I - Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]「Speed Forge」 / Tier I - The blacksmith's role in an active situation usually demands that their teammates' equipment is kept up to shape. A broken weapon cannot hurt much, while broken armor will only spell trouble against a difficult foe. It is in this time that blacksmiths will prioritize speed over quality. By taking makeshift materials around them, be it metal fragments, ore, or even rocks, they quickly melt it down and fix up equipment for the time being. Proper repairs will have to be performed following the battle in order to prevent impurities from weakening the equipment's quality. Defense debuff effects are halved when this skill is used on a target.
