[attr="class","quest"] Sarum Expedition Combat MissionAs we get closer toward the city of Sarum, monsters seem to continuously spawn. | It was just one of those days when Kyuu and her oniichan were bored out of their wits so they went off to Sarum. Again. Helping with the progress of the expedition was a good pastime and with useful rewards too. Neither was sleepy so there probably won’t be any randomness during their quest. As they arrived at the Sarum Camp, everything seemed pretty quiet and laid back. The scouting and crafting progress was close to completion, and so the wolf-hair samurai checked out the combat ones. Fortunately, she left the Alraune to play with some newly-acquired plushies that day for the girl was not keen on making the sprite fight again. If she had been sure that they would just do a crafting quest, then Caerbannog would have brought the baby with her. But since the objective was vague, the samurai let the cute summon rest up and just play in her Cave at the guild house.
For the most part, it was a lazy day at the Sarum Expedition Camp. So lazy, in fact, that a bunch of adventurers and landers had set up large tables way past the camp borders and well into the road to the western blockade. They had drinks and food and card games all over the place... and was that Rose giving a lapdance to some even larger person?! Whooooa. Kyuu did NOT have to see that! The samurai, clad in her usual combat gear, winced and turned away from the sight. In such cases she wished that she still had her horrible eyesight but alas, Elder Tale took that away from her. She was about to suggest to her oniichan that they should head towards the opposite direction but screams brought her attention back to the western area.
A familiar red-haired lander, one whom the samurai remembered to go by the name Eddison, ran past the tables and chairs, past the adventurers and landers; seemingly panicked, he kept screaming “ Golems! Golems everywhere! “ Well of course there were golems everywhere; they were in Sarum for crying out loud. A heavy rumbling soon caught the girl’s attention though and her wolf ears soon appeared so that she could better filter the sound. There was no denying that it sounded like rubble upon rubble, thus it could have been caused by the activities of some-
“ GOLEMS! AAAAAAAAAAAA! “
Oh silly landers, screaming out the most obvious- WHOA. WHOAAAA THERE.
Caerbannog blinked once, twice and then a third time. A whole army of golems ran towards the western blockade and surely they would overrun it if no one did anything. Hey, some people did do -something-. The merrymakers at the blockade left their drinks and food and women, and then they ran off mostly to the road to Windsor Greatwood. The samurai was puzzled by their reaction at first for most of those were adventurers who seemed capable enough to deal with sentinels. Her thoughts were cut short when Eddison finally noticed her, ran up to the wolf-hair, shook her shoulders and said something about a quest to assist the camp. The girl merely nodded, as she usually did, and then she walked over to Kumori-oniichan.
“ Ikimasu ne? “ the wolf-hair said as she smiled at the assassin, tapped him gently on the back, and then she sped off towards the incoming army.
Due to the narrowness of the road, only five golems could be engaged safely at any given time. Two of the first five, Levels 12 and 14 to be precise, were dangerously close to the tables of booze and food. Who’d want to drink and eat those though? The things seemed to have been lander-made but hey, maybe it was an acquired taste. As for the samurai, she soon reached the blockade and ran over to one of the tables. With both hands, she flipped the massive wooden furniture right onto the face of the incoming Level 12.
Oh, now it’s angry. Whatever features the golem’s face had seemed to be contorted. That was exactly what the girl wanted to see. Her eyes changed color from a brilliant blue to a golden color, and the fight was on! After the table flip, the piece of furniture was suddenly thrown back at the girl. That one was quite a fighter; she liked it, and she would return the favor. Caerbannog dodged towards the right side of the incoming table and then she grabbed the most powerful weapon in Sarum. A chair. No, no... it was not -a- chair; it was Chair! Provider of comfort and relaxation, its ability to knock out golems with one blow should not be underestimated.
The wooden implement crashed against the golem sentinel’s head so quickly and with such strength that the creature’s head was almost twisted off. Chair also got pretty damaged though. Poor Chair. Caerbannog had kicked off of the ground, landed on a table and jumped off of said table so that she could hit Mr.Golem Fighter right on the face. The samurai landed firmly on the ground while the golem sentinel still tried to regain its balance, but she would not leave it in that condition. The wolf-hair grasped whatever remained of Chair with her left hand, the one with the stronger grip, and then she kicked off the ground again and just slapped the golem’s head right off with her wooden implement, Chair the Victorious who fell apart right after that one episode due to fear and fatigue.
The other sentinel though, the Level 14 one, soon passed the samurai while she watched Mr. Fighter go up to the aether as data crystals. Three more sentinels were incoming too; they had a skillset that could scare people off. However the road was much too small for them to do windmills or stomps and so they had to fight the samurai head-on. Kyuu sat Chair comfortably upon its final resting place, on a pile of wooden desks to be used for bonfire later on. She was kinda in the zone, but not really- Caerbannog was not ‘in the zone’ unless she really wanted to be. She momentarily looked at Ryuu who would soon have to watch in horror as his imouto dashed and took on three fully grown men golems without drawing her weapon once.
| .: OOC Notes :. Killed Lv12 golem sentinel. Lv14 golem sentinel got past Caer. Lv 15 golem triplets ahead.

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0825 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | BOREDOM! Why wasn’t there anything to do? You may wonder why a Guild Leader has nothing to do… well… for whatever reason, all of the administrative businesses of his guild were done with. How? Because he’s a cool guy… yeah… that’s right. Cool! He should have sunglasses and a baseball cap with some blingin’ gold necklaces and gold teeth. That’s how cool he was. But you know what would really be cool? I don’t either, it’s okay. Anyways… Kyuu and Ryuu were planning to go to Sarum to get closer to completing the expeditionary quests. Ryuu was somewhat glad that Kyuu left Alraune at the guild house. It may have been a disaster should she have brought her to the quest with them. He couldn’t imagine Alraune being able to stand the violence that may have happened on their combat quest, if they were to do such a quest. Well, he did the usual. He donned his usual armor, equipped his usual daggers, and headed out with some items in hand to keep him from dying too quickly if he were in a pinch. They took their usual route to the Sarum Expedition Main Camp via merchant wagon. Things have gotten a bit faster, with the road now travel-worn and roads being built by other adventurers. It allowed for easier movement for the horses and the wagons. He was rather impressed at the quality of the roads.
As they made it to Sarum, Ryuu looked around. It was definitely a lazy day, as there were several tables set out for some type of a party. He could only assume it was due to the fact that they were almost finished with all of the quests, but Ryuu could only shake his head. When people got comfortable, they tended to become complacent of their duties. Only when something was 100% complete, were they allowed to rest and celebrate. He looked over towards the usual quest requests and saw the Rose lander who had helped them before with getting crafting requests. She was… was she? Oh my… she was. She was giving a person a lap dance. “My eyes…” he said as he looked down and turned away. I so did not need to see an elderly woman giving a lap dance to another person… he thought as he turned back towards Kyuu. Kyuu looked towards him, probably going to suggest moving elsewhere or something, but before they could, someone yelled the word “GOLEMS!” Yes… that shouldn’t be news, but it still grabbed the attention of the adventurers. He decided to give the time of day to said lander. When he did, he saw a huge cloud of dust behind him. “Oh… my … Lord…” he said. This was not natural. Well, I guess this is what happens when everybody decides to take a break. Eddison had run toward Kyuu and told her something about a quest. As she accepted it, the words “Quest Accepted” appeared in his HUD. Ryuu looked towards Kyuu and nodded to responded. “Ikimasu,” he said with a smirk. It was time to save the expeditionary camp from sure destruction.
The samurai dashed off towards the golem to put up a fight against the various golems. Ryuu was the DPS, and so he had to dispatch of these things as quickly as possible. Kyuu had decided to throw wooden furniture again. She really liked throwing things. He pondered about buying her a baseball and/or a basketball. Who made those anyways? Artisans? Could Tailors make them? They were technically made of leather. Guess I’ll have to go research something along those lines. Or maybe she just likes flipping furniture… I should make one of those “flip table” arcade games… but no electricity yet… he thought, trying to figure out something to get for Kyuu. Maybe lots of tables… I wonder how much they cost…. And that same chair somehow killed a golem. Yikes… maybe I shouldn’t buy furniture for her to throw… he contemplated.
Anyways, despite all of the thought of flipping furniture, Ryuu knew that using any of his burst skills would be pointless. Instead, he decided to boost his DPS rating by using [Accel Dance] in order to heighten his focus and attack speed. As soon as the samurai engaged, Ryuu would choose a separate target and use [Quick Draw] in order to catch up to her in terms of engagement. Ryuu slashed at one’s head, downing it, but if it didn’t, the second slash would follow ensuring its defeat. Ryuu picked up the slack by killing any of the golems she had missed. This one was one of them, the first he attacked. He then watched as Kyuu decided to take on 3 at the same time. Ryuu would shake his head. At least they’re not men… he thought as he continued slashing at the closest golems to him.
“Save some for me… mo,” he said through their party chat telepathy.

| Kyuu could really use her Walkman at the moment. Some background music would have been great; maybe she could be a mechanic next time and invent that somehow? She remembered one song at least, and no, it was not a Disney one. The samurai’s wolf-hair features emerged and her eyes flickered to a golden color, similar to when her favorite brawler’s eyes turned to a brilliant red color due to battle lust. With the song playing in her head, Caerbannog sang along.
They see you as small and helpless They see you as just a child The girl stopped in front of the golem sentinel trio and they in turn stopped on their tracks as well. They towered over the wolf-hair but she was not afraid. She viewed mobs and adventurers separately; she was not afraid of such creatures which were much taller or bigger than her.
Surprise when they find out that A warrior will soon run wild She jumped up when the middle golem threw a punch at her and Kyuu landed gracefully on the large creature’s right forearm. The samurai ran up towards the mob’s face while its companions tried to grab her without harming that sentinel. Kyuu merely ducked or skipped through most of those attempts until she reached her target’s head and promptly delivered a kick so strong that its head turned to one side permanently.
Prepare for your greatest moments Prepare for your finest hour Caerbannog then somersaulted right onto another golem’s face for it had been at too close a range. Before the sentinel could grab her, she kicked off that same face and used that momentum to throw a punch right at the third golem sentinel’s chest. They were not exactly the smallest of targets, so even random flailing by the girl would be able to hit them.
The dream that you always dreamed is Suddenly about to flower
At that point though, she noticed that another group of five golem sentinels between levels fifteen to seventeen began wrecking the boulders beside the road to widen the path, probably.
We are lightning Golden-eyed Kyuu activated [Denkosekka]. Gotta be faster.
Straying from the thunder Miracles of ancient wonder The girl’s target fell to the ground due to her punch’s momentum which was suddenly boosted by the speed from her buff. She pushed off of its chest, sidestepped from the middle golem’s attack and promptly kicked its leg so hard that the knee was dislocated. Perfect.
This will be the day we’ve waited for This will be the day we open up the door Side-faced golem sentinel fell onto its brother and both suffered some damage. The golem upon which she somersaulted on came to the rescue and once again tried to grab Caerbannog. Oh it was so grabby... naughty. She’d have none of that though. The samurai dashed behind that attacker and then she turned around and slid towards its legs. She rolled away from the target as it fell and immediately, she was up on her two feet again. The same could not be said for the trio whom Kyuu then left to oniichan as she ran over to draw the attention of the road-widening golem sentinels.
I don’t wanna hear your absolution Hope you’re ready for a revolution The wolf-hair then picked up three pieces of rock from the desolate road and threw them so hard the two of the rocks ended up buried in the faces of the golem sentinels.
Welcome to a world of new solutions Welcome to a world of bloody evolution Oh, they were pissed off alright. Caerbannog did grab their attention for those golem sentinels were grouped together with an assist connection. If one was attacked, all five would attempt to punch the offender to the ground.
In time, your heart will open minds A story will be told The largest one was the samurai’s aim and its head was sufficiently massive for her purpose. Caerbannog dashed towards that creature and jumped towards its head with her left arm held out to her side. The hook of her arm caught the golem’s neck and caused it to almost fall backwards. Almost, but not quite. Instead, Kyuu swung around the golem’s neck, clasped her hands together and then she gave it one strong pull. That golem’s head soon fell to the ground. Caerbannog picked it up, looked at the rest of the horde, and then she rolled the massive head over to them. Was that a strike?
And victory is in a simple soul. | .: OOC Notes :. Golem trio incapacitated. One of five golems killed due to violent beheading. Song lyric not counted as WC.

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0960 OOC Notes: Ryuu's golem trio destroyed. Two more golems killed, and then however many you want to kill in that bowling :3. Lyrics not part of WC
Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Kyuu’s deeds hadn’t gone unnoticed as the first golem she had destroyed resulting in his taking some damage. It wasn’t much to be worried about, as it was the equivalent of fall damage to him. It seemed that the music that the samurai was hearing was breaking the 4th wall and coming into the post for Kumori as well. The same music resonated in his mind, but since it was now his turn, it was time for him to continue the onslaught of golems. Pretty soon, this day would be known as “The Dusty Massacre”. I know, terrible, but hey, it’s punny! Your world needs a great defender Your world's in the way of harm It was Ryuu’s turn. In order to protect his family and his friends, in order to provide a safe haven for low-level players, in order to give people hope and dreams, he was there to take out the golems. He was there to destroy them all. Ryuu knelt on one knee. He sheathed his daggers to follow Kyuu’s example. It seemed that it was time for him to do just as Kyuu did and give a challenge to himself. Unarmed combat. You want a romantic life A fairytale that's full of charm All he wanted was a nice quiet life, but these stupid golems couldn’t even provide him the means to show what a capable man he was! He killed hundreds of them by this point and no one, not even one love letter?! Come on! That infuriated Ryuu as he pulverized the three sentinels he was facing, kicking up, and then wrapping his legs around one of the golem’s head and popping it off while using the leverage of the golem’s body and his own legs as a grip and spring. Beware that the light is fading Beware as the dark returns After dispatching the other two golems that were in front of him, he ran towards another group of golems, behind the group of five that the bare-fisted samurai was dealing with. She was more than enough to deal with them, so Ryuu had to prevent future golems from getting to that point. Ryuu was much too small and much too far in levels to be able to be hit easily. As soon as he ran in, past the first give sentinels, Ryuu disappeared into the center of the massive body of golems that was converging on his location. Having initiated the convergence, a pocket was produced around him. One of the golems aimed his fist at him, covering the light away from Ryuu. Was that a smirk that Ryuu was giving? This world's unforgiving Even brilliant lights will cease to burn His eyes were closed, waiting to hear the displacement of the air around him. The whistle of the golem’s fist resonated near him. He dodged the attack, moving away. As an assassin, where the darkness was his realm, this fit him the most. He hid under the golems, using the shadow to his advantage. The golems could not see him as he had disappeared. What did he do? He had moved almost instantly under one of the golems. The golems were confused now, looking around their position to find the elusive Assassin. This was his time, this was his hour. The flames of life for these golems would only last for a little longer. Legends scatter He first threw a throwing knife at the ground and activated [Shadow Bind] in order to keep the golems from moving away. Before the dagger hit the ground though, his body was already moving. Ryuu jumped up with all of his might, his fist ripping through the golem he was directly under, utterly destroying it, making sure it no longer resembled anything like a golem. Ryuu landed on top of the shoulder of the now destroyed golem before it fell, crossing his arms. He was the legend that scatters. Day and night will sever Hope and peace are lost forever And because of the plight that was over Sarum, because of the lost hope for the People of the Land, because of the peace that was no longer granted to the people of Londenium because of the golems, it gave him reason. This was his opportunity to help everyone. Atop the shoulder of the golem. His arms crossed, his ruby red scarf (if he had one) would’ve flowed with the wind, releasing some aesthetic sparkles. “Hmph…” he let out. Another golem attempted to punch him. This will be the day we've waited for This will be the day we open up the door Ryuu jumped, as if the punch was coming in slow motion. He landed on top of the arm of the golem that punched away the half of the golem that he was standing on. Ryuu rushed forward, opening the door to victory by going through the golem’s head, carrying the head in his arm. I don't wanna hear your absolution Hope you’re ready for a revolution Ryuu threw the golem’s head at another, knocking it off as well. That was two more down. He had nothing to land on, so he was now back on the ground. The golems attempted to follow him and keep the pocket open where Ryuu was, but he was too quick for them. Welcome to a world of new solutions Welcome to a world of bloody evolution Ryuu rushed through as he began smashing more and more golems into dusty oblivion. A sweep kick and a punishing punch to the sternum to end the would-be heart of the golem which soon dissipated into several lights of data. More came to replace their fallen comrade. In time your heart will open minds A story will be told As soon as Kyuu rolled the head through the road, Ryuu heard a loud rumbling. “Heh,” he let out. He smirked and chuckled as if he already knew what was coming. The rolling came faster and closer. Ryuu jumped up, back flipping over the pseudo bowling ball, landing right behind the rolling head. “Too easy,” he said as he kicked the ball towards the golems that he was facing earlier, giving an extra boost to the already moving ball to knock over and crush all the sentinels that were near him. Assisted attack: Killer: Caerbannog, Assist: Kumori. This is what their HUDs would’ve flashed, should this have been something like Counter-Strike or League of Legends. | Rubble and crystals everywhere; data crystals, to be precise. Kyuu took exactly two steps back to get out of the way of an incoming golem arm, a few moments after it landed on the ground in front of her, that too vanished into the ether.
{What was her objective again?} To become stronger, tougher, to get to a higher level. But what for exactly? To be acknowledged. She usually went through the motions to kill everything in sight, to gain experience and to level up. But a certain enchanter by the name of Capsule showed her recently that fighting didn’t have to be so straightforward and mindless. That even brought the samurai back to her earlier days with the guardian @0x1dea - and the samurai realized that she’d gotten too serious for her own good. She’d become kind of like Ryuu, maybe it was because he was older and she saw him as a role model? Perhaps. Or not. She’d always been her own person, so pinning her change of attitude on the assassin would be unfair. When she started out that fight, it could have been another mindless journey; it seemed that her demeanor set the tone for Ryuu somewhat, and if she started out dull like that time when they went further into desolation, he’d act out the same way too. Time to fight using the Capsule Way then.
Well, all that was not too relevant to the current fight. Presently: Ryuu did a great assist, and that was what mattered. Three golem sentinels crashed and burned up ahead: one was hit and decapitated by the golem ball, it then crashed into the golem behind it and that too fell, and the last golem sentinel behind those two got crushed by the two which toppled over it. The path was clear but the girl was not content with just three rows of golem sentinels; she raised her hand overhead and brought it down so suddenly: OBJECTION! Instead of some court room dealings though, a vacuum wave caused by the second chain [Izunagiri] rushed towards the golem sentinels and through the narrow path which was opened up by Ryuu’s assist. Two more sentinels exploded into data crystals which sent the opened row up to a total of five.
Her ace moves chained from one to two, Kyuu, used the last few ticks of Denkosekka to dash ahead and as she moved, the samurai then activated her third chain [Bishamonkeshin]. Her hit points regenerated with no purpose really, but what the girl actually needed was the skill’s Hate-grabbing effect. The bright light which was red like roses could not be ignored by the golem sentinels as it ran past them straight into a golem which blocked the way. A meter ahead, and then two. Not keen on destroying her momentum, Kyuu kicked off the ground, spun once in the air and decapi-kicked that sentinel’s head. She landed behind the golem, rolled forward and slid beneath a few more sentinels on her way. With the bright red light acting like a laser point to draw in the cats, er the sentinels, soon there was a mob train right behind the samurai. Another two meters dashed through. A bit of math: if the narrow road allowed at most three golem sentinels to fight almost side by side, and Ryuu killed the middle golems of the first three rows, then Kyuu Izunagiri’d two more middle golems, decapi-kicked another and slid past those last two ones, then there was a golem sentinel train of twenty-six rocky creatures behind her.
Kyuu stopped on her tracks and turned to the mob train. She waited for them to be baited in completely by Bishamonkeshin’s red light effect while the other golems around her also moved in. Her attention was on the train which converged to an almost straight line though, and once the first one was right in front of her, the girl activated her fourth chain [Yabouzan]. Her grip on her nagamaki was strong and certain. The wolf-hair disappeared from where she stood just as three golem sentinels simultaneously attacked her from three different directions. No matter, she was already gone by then and had reappeared five full meters from where she stood and ended up right in front of Ryuu. Behind the wolf-hair, the golem train turned to a brilliant display of crystal-like remnants of data.
The bright red light around the samurai dissipated into the air as she lowered her weapon which with one strike managed to demolish that sentinel train. Kyuu sheathed her sword and raised her right hand up to Ryuu-oniichan for a high-five: “ TAG! “

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0649 Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | After Kyuu was done with her massacre of rocky beasts, Kyuu tagged his hand and he nodded, rubbing his hands together, clapping them and pressing them against the ground below them. “Just kidding,” he winked. A song began to play. One that had a solemn beginning. It was his song. It was his shadow. It was his life. It was his moment, and he would take this time to cease what was his. From shadows We'll descend upon the world Take back what you stole From shadows We'll reclaim our destiny Set our future free And we'll rise And we'll rise The golems, this world, had stolen from him his real life, his reality. He swore he could’ve heard the golem go: “Intruder, Identify yourself,” and so he would reply: “with pleasure!,” He ran forward, towards the nearest golem.Ryuu grabbed the head from the golem’s body. Well more like stole. “My name is Kumori of Aeryn,” He threw said stolen head like a baseball right at the golems in front of him. The baseball-head went straight through the golems hearts. Take that! was the caption above his head when he pointed towards the golems as he smiled and flexed a bit. Above the darkness and the shame Above the torture and the pain Above the ridicule and hate Above the binding of our fate After, he tied a rope to the hilt of his dagger, stabbed it straight into the skull of a golem, and then plopped the head off from the golem. “Time for my debut…” he said with a smirk. While he may not have been using his fists for this, he technically wasn’t using his dagger. Meteor hammers were awesome, and while his inspiration used a knife and chain, he made it a bit more golem-oriented. Wrecking golem head. His creation, patent pending. Ryuu held the rope short enough that he could create enough torque. As soon as the golem head was at a speed he was comfortable with, Ryuu smiled. “What happens when you pair an assassin, a samurai, and a bunch of golems together?” he asked Kyuu rhetorically. “Don’t worry, I don’t know either~,” he said. Ryuu let go with his right hand which was twirling the golem head around his own head, letting it fling towards one of the golems, striking it straight into the mid-section of the golem and toppling it over, allowing the meteor to hit the golem behind it as well. As the golem head rebounded back, Ryuu grabbed the rope near the ball again and began to spin it. He did so, until finally all of the golems began to crowd around him. “Kyuu… mind if you kneel for a bit?” he asked. After she did so, he would continue his onslaught. Born with no life....into subjugation Treated like a worthless animal Stripped of all rights Just a lesser being Crushed by cruel ruthless human rule This golem thought that they’d control this area, they thought that they ruled this place. They obviously had not met their friend, wrecking golem head. The group of golems began to circle around the pair of adventurers. Swinging the head around, he let go with his right hand, allowing the head to swing all around, crashing to the first row of the golems. After making one complete rotation, he’d whip it back so that he could twirl again, and then moved forward to approach the front lines of the golems, closer, taking out the entire row of the forthcoming golems. How many did he kill? We’ll count that as 10 for the circle and 5 for the front row. As he ran forward, he aimed his last meteor strike at the middle golem, taking an additional one down. He began forcing the golems back, swinging again, and creating a pocket around him. He was in front of Kyuu just enough for him to move the head’s path directly in front of her. She would know what to do, as the head slowed only slightly, but even that slight moment looked like it was slow motion to the both of them, giving enough time for her to jump on and him to fling her towards the center of the next group of golems. | The heat of the battle, was it? Whatever people called it, the samurai Caerbannog was finally caught up in it. And it wasn’t just about killing her targets or taking down as many golems as she could. Having fought beside some people who had peculiar ways of dealing with the game which became their reality, the wolf-hair accepted their influence and, first of all, let her racial traits manifest themselves more prominently. Her eyes as golden as the sun watched the assassin as he took his took and struck down as many mobs as his moveset allowed. Curiously he had taken to using a kunai and chain; or rather, a golem head and some swingy attachment. While Kyuu discarded the use of her sword unless the ace move required it and just relied on raw power of her little fists, Ryuu was inclined to manipulate or create his own weapons. While she burst forward earlier in a brilliant display of red and slashed through the golem train with her fourth chain, he was more graceful with his moves- well, at least some of them. Swinging a golem head around was anything but graceful after all. The wolf-hair sheathed her sword and kneeled to get out of Ryuu-oniichan’s way; once he was close to ending his turn, Kyuu jumped onto the wrecking golem head as it swung by. With a well-timed throw by the assassin, the samurai was flung right towards the next and possibly final group of golem sentinels.
Come at me And you'll see I'm more than meets the eye.
Kyuu flipped over while she was airborne so that she’d land on her two feet right onto a golem’s face. The impact caused the creature to stumble backwards and it finally fell when the samurai kicked off of it, landed on the ground and ended up in a crouching position to steady herself. A sentinel approached from the girl’s left side and brought its foot down right onto her.
You think that You'll break me, You're gonna find in time
The golem’s foot crashed down into the empty ground for the wolf-hair rolled over farther to her left side and ended up behind her attacker. That move was a Stomp which created a shockwave; Kyuu who was already on the ground felt it hit her body but she was not knocked down into an awkward position. Nearby golem sentinels, about four of them aside from the girl’s attacker, were affected though and even the one who’d just gotten up fell over once again.
You're standing too close to a flame that's burning Hotter than the sun in the middle of July. Since she found herself behind the golem sentinel which tried to Stomp down on her, Kyuu stood up, steeled herself, grabbed her left hand with her right and threw her bent left arm up against the back of the sentinel’s left knee. It shook against the girl’s forceful move. She let her left hand go, pulled back her right fist to her side and punched the shaken knee which shattered into many pieces, sending that sentinel tumbling down.
Sending out your army, but you still can't win; Listen up, silly boy, 'cuz I'm gonna tell you why... The girl backed away from the falling golem sentinel but as soon as it was down, she noticed the other sentinels which had gathered around her. The fallen one, his four victims and the fifth victim of Stomp which had already been toppled by the wolf-hair earlier; four stood behind them, three came in from the left side and four from her right.
I burn! Can't hold me now, You got nothing that can stop me. The samurai stood up straight. Her feet apart to give her balance in case she had to move in any direction, her legs strong and ready, she held her head high and once the golem sentinels had their eyes on her, Kyuu put her hands up in front of her chest like that super cool blonde brawler. She just sent out a challenge to the golem sentinels around her. A [Samurai’s Challenge].
Reign supreme? In your dreams; You’ll never make me bow. That move riled up the sentinels just as she expected, but when the ones closest to her moved in to attack, Kyuu put her index finger and middle finger together, and then she drew a line in the air in front of her. It was a move similar to a shinki’s Boundary Line however, it wasn’t a solid barrier but a vacuum wave that fanned out created by her second chain [Shunsen].
Kick my ass? I'm world-class And Super Saiyan now. Ready. Set. [ Fuurinkazan ].
You’re starting up a fight that you just can’t finish; Watch the little hearts while they scrape you off the floor. Her third chain, a reference to the warlord Takeda Shingen, caused a flaming aura to be emitted from the samurai’s body. It was similar to Denkosekka but instead of a lightning armor which could absorb attacks, Fuurikazan provided a fiery armor which would damage those who made contact with the user’s body. A wind aura surrounded the girl’s equipped weapon which was her nagamaki, but she wasn’t about to draw it just yet. The flames on her body should be enough, the wolf-hair thought.
Bringing out your rockets? Well, shoot 'em up, baby, High as you can go, but I’m the one who’s gonna soar. A golem sentinel to her right side threw itself upon the girl as it used Rock Windmill. Amidst that chaos, Kyuu ducked and jumped to avoid the spinning rocks and she grabbed one as it passed by. Just as she landed, the golem’s head spun towards her and with one strong kick, she sent it flying into an incoming golem’s chest. The kick was so strong that the head crashed through and destroyed that golem, and buried itself into the torso of the next sentinel.
I burn! Swing all you want, Like a fever I will take you down. As the sentinel reformed after its Windmill, then headless, Kyuu stood behind it and put her arm into the reforming creature. She clenched her fist tightly and made sure to keep the fiery armor around it to lessen the impact to her arm. It seemed to have worked for the fire damage caused the rock parts to reform around her forearm and clenched fist instead of crushing it completely. The headless golem became an extension of the samurai Caerbannog’s arm. How’s that for a makeshift weapon? Two incoming golems wanted to test it apparently, and so Kyuu let them have a taste of her golem gauntlet. Though the headless sentinel flailed, it couldn’t really see anything and so the samurai just lifted it overhead and hammered the thing down onto its kind. Two golem sentinels crushed; a third one moved in- the wolf-hair pulled her arm back and then she swung the golem gauntlet right at her latest attacker.
It doesn’t have to be this way; Let’s kiss and make up, then you’ll learn Four golems moved in, two from each direction. Elder Tale wasn’t a Hollywood movie; can’t expect enemies to fight in turns. Kyuu had to adapt to the situation and that was exactly what she did. The samurai spun around and crashed through the torso of her attackers which left three of them split in half while a fourth, which took the first hit and the full impact due to the girl’s momentum, exploded to rocks and pieces. A few kicks right to the other three’s heads ended their miserable half-life, but Kyuu had to duck out of the way when the golem sentinel which she toppled over earlier threw a punch at her for revenge. She responded with a golem gauntlet upper cut which sent not only the target’s head flying away but most of the upper half of its torso.
The crippled golem whose knee was destroyed by the samurai earlier wanted to make a comeback too. Nope. Golem Gauntlet to the face took care of that. At that point, only those held back by Shunsen and the ones behind them remained. Instead of going about it in a roundabout way, the golden eyed samurai just ran straight at them. She did not stop or slow down, and that move, perhaps as she anticipated or perhaps not, made the golems step back. Adventurers did not usually run into a whole group of six golems after all. When she was within their range, the sentinels reacted by throwing punches at her instead of using Stomps for they’d seen earlier that they would disbalance one another. Perfect setup.
You can fight your life away; Kyuu broke to a full stop and put her golem gauntlet up to absorb some of the damage; she was not unscathed, but most of the remaining damage was splashed back to all six which attacked her. It was from something that she rarely used, the reverting chain [Rokutenmaou]. Golem Gauntlet dispersed into the ether, finally free from slavery; with her chain reverted to One, her opponents drawn more to the samurai while taken aback by the sudden damage dealt though she did not move, Kyuu took one quick look at the targets before her. Amongst them was the sentinel which had Gauntlet’s head buried into its torso. There were a few more targets behind them but they had not been pulled over by Kyuu’s Challenge. So it was just that six then...
The samurai dashed over to the golem as Gauntlet’s head vanished due to its death. She punched her right fist deep into that spot which was left vacant and void, leaving the golem severely damaged before she kicked off of its and landed right in front of the creature. The girl then kicked its left foot away which made the golem topple down while still confused. Both hands on its right leg, Kyuu lifted the creature overhead and began to swing it using her second chain [Mawarufuusen]. Five golems around her were drawn in and the rest of the sentinels which were incoming were also pulled in by that move. Golem Copter!
I get what I want, so don’t bother and just watch me burn.

As he threw the golem head up, he retracted his rope and knife from it and then nodded at what was about to be a massacre. The golem head went high up into the sky, enough time for him to destroy everything around him. With 23 more golems to destroy, it seemed that he wouldn’t have the last move, however he could do his best to finish it with a bang… quite literally. Now had this been an anime, he would’ve knelt down, gathered energy at his feet, and then pushed off with explosive power, but this wasn’t. This was Elder Tales, and in Elder Tales, you dealt with what you were up against with what you had. It was time for epicness to ensue. Although the next song did not have many words, the implications, the sound, the guitar, everything about this song made sense for this situation. Each head that would be decapitated, each body that would be broken. This was the end for all of the golems in front of him. This would be a start of a beautiful relationship between his rope and the golems. Red like Roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest And like blood, the blood of the people who died here in Sarum. The blood of those who would be remembered, their memories faded. Red, the color of vengeance, for the people that were sacrificed, both Landers and the adventurers, these golems were to be killed, to be dismembered, dismantled, and disassembled. Yes, I know they’re pretty much the same word, read three different times, but hey… don’t shoot me for being somewhat of a romantic. Three golems ran up to him and their fists converged on top of him, but that didn’t stop him. As the area above him was covered in darkness, a flicker would be noticed by any onlooker. The assassin was no longer there, but instead on top of the converging three fists above him. His eyes were closed, but as soon as the three golems looked at where the assassin was, the assassin’s eyes opened. Ryuu jumped and turned his head towards the ground. “Die…” he said softly. He grabbed two of the closest golems to him and punched them down, crushing the fists of the golems into the ground. The golems hands crumbled, the third finally lifting its hands attempting to put the human down. The assassin’s hair whipped around, now facing the golem that had its arm intact. The golem brought it down, but all Ryuu had to do was place his hand forward and catch the fist that came at his face. He turned it around, flipping the entire golem around. Ryuu pushed against his legs, forward, into the golem’s body, and straight through the heart of the golem. That was three down. White is Cold and always yearning, burdened by a royal test This was a test, a test of his strength, a test of his worth. Was he strong enough to protect those around him? Was he strong enough to lead a guild, to lead a group of people? This was his time to prove it, this was his presentation, this was his art. After going through the heart of the golem, the golems were drawn towards him. He had just taken the enmity from the tank and had grabbed all the attention. He wanted everyone to notice him, and he got what he wanted. 10 golems no surrounded him, but that didn’t hinder the man in black. He spread his arms out wide, taking in the energy of his surroundings, or so he would’ve done if he was part of a certain popular anime that coined and made famous the phrase “OVER 9000!”. The hands moved quickly to grab the daggers from his sheathes and then stabbed them into the ground. “To conquer myself, I must conquer my adversaries…” he said under his breath. He tied two ropes, one on each dagger’s hilt, and then rushed forward with both in hand. He wrapped the group of 10 golems together, trying to wrap the line around each and every single one of them, taking on lots of weight, but it wasn’t heavy to his standards. This was simply a backpack to be carried. After all the golems were tied to the two ropes, Ryuu tightened the ropes and then brought them close together like a snuggly family. He then tied the two ropes together and went to his daggers and picked them up from their spot. “Shatter…” he would say. He pulled the daggers, pushing off from his area, and the ropes cut through every single one of the golems that enclosed in it. That was 13 golems destroyed so far. Black the Beast descends from shadows Who was the shadow? That was Kumori. His name was literally “Shadow” in Japanese. He was the beast that raged on. Usually, he kept himself hidden. His stance was always that if you saw him, and he wanted you dead, you would be dead in only a matter of seconds. There were never any unnecessary movements to show that he was a master at this. He had grown into a true Assassin. Was it something to be proud of? Probably not, but it was his pride. As the master of the shadows, he would prove that shadows in both the day and night were useful. Using his ability to conceal himself within the shadow of the golem, he remained hidden, the golems becoming thoroughly confused. They had no ability to discover his location, but it mattered not. The stage was set for the master of shadows. One of the golems entered the danger zone, and was easily dismantled by the assassin. The instant disappearance of a golem would be suspicious, even to onlookers, however to Ryuken, it was just another day at work. As the first of the golems were destroyed multiple decided to check the outcome. Each golem that stepped into the zone were dismantled and destroyed, however the source of it was missing. A total of 10 of them were destroyed, resulting in a total of 23 golems dead. The remaining golems, however were smarter than these 10 and had caught on to It was time for the final phase. The massacre, almost complete. Yellow Beauty burns gold. The last 4 now stood in wait for the Assassin to appear, in which he did. A flame of shadow followed behind him because the writer really wanted to make something like Yang in terms of what it looked like, so here we go! The assassin flicked his wrists, black flames engulfing his hands, only an effect of destroying so many golems. The addition was only temporary. The golems began to rush at him, but instead of flinching, running, dodging, or doing anything that involved running, he simply stood his ground. As the first of the golems approached and attempted to punch him, the assassin simply punched through the fist and broke through the entire body, using the golem’s momentum to take care of the rest. After its death, two more came to attempt to do something different, cannon balling on his position. Ryuu jumped in between them and kicked one of the golems into the other and both exploded into a cloud of dust, rock, and epic shadow flames. Ryuu was content with the outcome but that left one more. He simply threw his dagger at the golem, and then sent an entire set of throwing knives at the golem. It didn’t stand a chance. With all 90 golems destroyed, the two were finally finished. Zero, the favorite number of Kumori’s, and Nine, the favorite number of Caerbannog, were reasons why they had to destroy 90 by themselves. This was the representation of the both of them. This was the end of their fight. Picking up all his things, he turned to Kyuu and smiled. “Time to go home…”-Fin- Code by DinDeen. Original Art by Tistelmark. :DeviantArt: |
