It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Focused on his work, Pwyll didn't notice at first that his drink had been taken away. Getting the hang of hammering, he quickened his pace and made short work of the metal slab, flattening it into a blade shape. With the way it looked, he wouldn't be able to make a katana so he moved on to a long sword design. Needing one more heating, he put it back in the furnace and went to take a swig of his drink only to find one of the bottles missing. Since Aldrin didn't take his, the other had gone... Turning around to look at Caer, Yuu panicked as he noticed how much of an addict she looked like. Dropping the hammer from one hand and placing the tongs on the anvil, he caught the hammer using his tail and quickly moved over to Kyuu. His tail gave a rather tingling sensation as it held something heavier than it was. Still, the hammer he was using was not too much heavier.
Trying to reach around the drinking adventurer who had their back turned to him. Yuu really didn't want to just snatch the drink. Sure, he didn't like people drinking too much, especially if they get drunk quickly, but he didn't like to ruin the fun of others either. There were a few things he could think of and internalized them within a few seconds. He had about half a minute to a minute before the furnace would be done heating the metal, so he had until then. Maybe longer, so long as he didn't go too far over the time. A furnace could only heat the metal to a certain temperature since it had its own maximum heat, and the metal wouldn't warp or be ruined unless it was on the extreme end of heating. He could still salvage the majority of it if that happened.
His first idea was to use 「Ante-Up」 on his two blades on the bench since he had immediately clicked into combat readiness. Or at least that sort of heightened awareness. He could protect himself from the fluffy ball of violence on the chair with that, but there would be consequences if he cut Kyuu by accident. Not to mention, it could be rather frightening and the backlash would be terrifying. Especially from a drunk. The second option was to pull her tail. He constantly felt the sensation from his own tail, and certain things tended to make him weak in the knees so surely doing that to Kyuu would have the same effect. However, looking at her, she didn't have any tail on her at the moment. Reason he knew she was a wolf-hair? Instinct. And intuition. Sort of like cats and dogs, or differences between shades of grey, no reference intended. That left just one choice.
Running out of time, Yuu knelt down, put one hand on Kyuu's knee, one on her back, and slotted his neck between her legs, standing up straight at the same time. Using the hand on knee to hold her in place and the hand on back to keep her from flailing and falling backwards or forwards, Yuu checked there was enough clearance between the roof and their height. Confirming this, he took his hand off her back once she was steady and only now realized he had done it wrong. All he had to do was hug her under the arms from behind and he would have reached the bottle. Now she could keep it out of his reach. Sighing, he let a vague memory slip into his mind. Memories of a Japanese women carrying a little child on her shoulders, walking down the streets of England. Storing this memory elsewhere, he came back to what he needed to do now.
Jumping up lightly, he used that little momentum to bump Kyuu up, letting go of her and ducking down, holding his arms out. Sweeping one arm horizontally to push her legs in one direction, he caught her in his arms, putting her down and confiscating the drink at the same time. Downing the entire bottle without batting an eyelid, he put the bottle down and finished the second bottle in record time. 「I'll buy you some more after I finish. It can be my thanks for the help. So please sit down and wait patiently, Kyuu-chan.」 With that said, Yuu went back to the furnace with his tongs, grabbing the hammer from his tail. Picking the metal out, it looked about done, if a bit on the hot end. Placing it on the anvil, he started up again.
Working on the edges, he shaped it into a long sword before working on the flats of the blade. He left one edge thick to indicate it being a single-edged blade. After hammering it well enough, he placed it back in the furnace for a little while longer. That should give it a boost when quenching it. He couldn't remember details, but knew that rapidly cooling hot metal caused it to harden. Taking it out of the furnace, he went over to the slack tub and lowered the unrefined metal in slowly as he could see it was quenching oil. He didn't want it lighting up in a huge flame from rapidly heating the oil. After it was in, Yuu said thanks for the advice as he turned to Kyuu. 「Well, I judged you right on the alcohol, but I didn't expect you to do so much. Still, I'll get you some more as thanks. The most I will get you is five times that much.」 That was a lot of alcohol, since each bottle was about a liter. Since there were two, it's 2L. By, five, that's 10L that he was willing to buy her. The reason that was the limit was because it shouldn't be possible for Kyuu to drink that. If so, Yuu won't be capable of buying more due to being too intoxicated to trust himself after that much.

| StatusWants to get drunk. OOC Notes--- There are many things in Elder Tale that could either kill an adventurer, or get them killed. Examples of that include tripping over Level 44 Brier Weasels, adventuring alone into the Northern Marshlands of Thames, running half-naked towards a Golem Phalanx, pulling a wolf-hair’s tail, looking lecherously at Kumori’s sister in his presence, making eye contact with Elkeid, saying Scoria three times, man-handling Hyzenthlay’s tamer in the enemic buster’s presence, and/or taking away Caerbannog’s booze. Within moments, Pwyll had accomplished two of those and so his first death in Elder Tale was imminent. The enemic buster glared at the fox tail and had her club at the ready; she was actually swinging it around but refrained from hitting the swashbuckler just yet since he might fall over and hurt the samurai. As for Caerbannog, her thought process as she drank, got lifted up, put back down again and subsequently deprived of her drink went as follows: “Mmmmm”, “WHOA!”, “YAY!” and “Huuuuuuuuuuh?” At the end of that thought process, she turned to Pwyll who’d just finished off that one drink. She was about to flip a table but even in her alcohol-deprived state, the samurai was still wary of hurting landers and adventurers. She wagged a finger at Hyzenthlay to stay the enemic buster, who in turn sighed because it was not face-wrecking time before she curled up on the bench and frowned forever. “Morrrrrre drinks?” the wolf-hair was wide-eyed just then but the swashbuckler better keep his promise otherwise Caerbannog would not be as pleasant anymore. “Oy, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Aldrin said. He had the gall to say that?! Whyyyyyyyyy? “She’s from that guild Aeryn, I know that much. Her brother won’t be too happy if he heard that she’s been drinking.”“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~” Caerbannog whined. It was her own fault for complaining about having to sneak out of the guild house to get a drink though. She’d lamented to the lander once, just once, that she had to get away from her brother whom Aldrin had not even met. At that time, Caerbannog had a long day of having to deal with bartenders and brewers who refused to sell any alcoholic drinks to her because of her appearance. The lander had heard of the guild but did not know Kumori personally, but he did not want Pwyll to get in trouble either. “I do what I want!” the samurai stomped and she crossed her arms as she waited for the fox tail to finish his craft. The girl had a most cross look on her face. She was in one of those unpleasant moods so maybe giving her more booze wasn’t such a good idea. Then again, she could become violent or chaotic if left in that bad mood for too long. Oh, what to do? WC: 470 || Code by Neun of ET. Artwork by Taamo. |

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
「If it comes down to it, which it probably will, I'll keep watch over her until she sobers up. Now, with my blade quenched, I wanna have it black like my other two blades and temper it once more. So first I get the edge, polish, stain and then temper, correct?」 Glancing over at Kyuu before continuing, Yuu used the tongs to pull the blade out of the quencher, lightly tapping it before holding it to check its heat. Holding it, he went on to polishing it and giving it an edge on one side. Taking some time to do this, he made sure he was satisfied with his hand polishing since there were no mechanical contraptions to spin the grit. Making sure it had a fine shine on it, he moved over to the furnace which was now on a lower heat. All he had to do was leave it in there for a certain amount of time for it to change the color. Or so he hoped.
In the time he had to wait, he mapped out the area in his head and tried to think of the closest inn or bar where he could find alcohol on sale. He had a plan to attempt to deceive the girl, though he wasn't sure if it would work. Start by giving her the normal alcoholic drinks until her taste buds are burnt out or until she begins losing her ability to process taste, and then start diluting the drinks until eventually she will be drinking a non-alcoholic alcoholic drink. He would do the same for his (which would help him a lot) and maybe use some courtesan tricks to help convince the Lander workers to play along. Putting both of his blades back into his inventory, he opened the furnace door to check his lump of metal.
Seeing it had turned into a dark stained color from the heat treatment, it wasn't quite there so he used a rag to wipe some chemicals over it before sticking it back in for a few minutes. Pulling it out afterwards, he checked its color. It looked good enough, and the sharpness was as good as it could be for such a low level weapon. All up, it was satisfactory for himself. Waiting for it to cool, he then held it out to Aldrin to get him to confirm its quality. 「I feel that it's alright, but I'm only a beginner. As an experienced blacksmith, is this alright?」 Leaving the blade in his hands, Pwyll backed up a bit to give some space and listened to the feedback. From what he got back, he found that it was average for the materials used, and a good job by the blacksmith. Some tips were to work hard to fix errors, get right timings and such, and be free of... distractions.
Satisfied with the feedback, With that done, he began cleaning up everything he had used. Wiping the workbench, cleaning the hammer and tongs, closing the furnace and letting it burn out by itself, and wiping down the anvil. That way, no metal off-cuts would go on new items and ruin them. 「So all I have left to do is make a hilt. With the style I use, I'll wrap some strong fabric around it after placing a wooden grip on it. That should be strong enough. It may not be a Katana, but I can still do the hilt the same. Aldrin, thanks for guiding me through this.」 Giving a polite bow, Pwyll picked up the unfinished blade and stored it in his inventory. He could piece it together later when he buys the rest of the stuff. In fact, he could go buy that now before the alcohol. It was on the way.
「C'mon, Kyuu. I'll get the last things I need and then we can go get your drinks. Deal?」 Not bothering to wait for much of a reply, Yuu started walking off. After that crafting session, he felt more secure as he slipped into what he really use to be like, personality wise. Sure, he was the timid and shy, self conscious boy who followed his brother everywhere, but in the last several years, he has been more outgoing and takes the initiative more often. He just had to try apply that self confidence in the game. Stopping by some stalls along the station road, he picked up a wood-crafted hilt with a bamboo stopper and some durable, rough fabric from a tailor stall. Standing on the side of the road, he got his blade and placed the wooden hilt on, using the bamboo stopped to slide through the hilt and the hole in the blade he made so that it would stay in place, then wrapped it up with the fabric.
Feeling slightly proud of his creation, his tail began swaying happily and his ears perked up and began flapping slightly from excitement before being combed down again. A screen popped up as he read the description of the blade, asking for a name. Since it was just a basic one, he labeled it "Kurogane Mk. 0". With this done, he walked merrily towards the closest inn which was the twin wolf hall. He had stopped there on his first day with his brother. The food and drinks there were player made and served by either part time adventurers or hired landers. It was a lander that owned the establishment to begin with.
Getting there, he found an empty table in a secluded corner. There weren't too many people, only others who were after a mid-afternoon drink. Some of the clouds outside had cleared away to leave a twilight sky, indicating the time. Taking a seat, he got the attention of a waitress lander and ordered some snacks and two pints of alcohol. 「I did promise, so here you go. Just, take it slowly please. Or we could play a game to slow the pace.」 Saying this, the first round of drinks arrived with snacks of hot chips and burgers.

| StatusWants another drink. OOC Notes--- For a while, Aldrin and Pwyll had a discussion regarding the finishing touches for the crafted blade. The samurai’s eyes went from one person to the other as the conversation went to and fro, with no new information for her. And even if there was, it would have flown over the girl’s head for she had nothing but booze in that brain of hers. Maybe if there was something like frozen yogurt or ice cream in Elder Tale, her attention could be directed to that; but alas, it was a recipe that was yet to be researched.
To help things move along, Caerbannog assisted Pwyll when he had to clean up the tools that he used. She did not comment on the final craft for her mind was somewhere else, and that ‘somewhere’ was on the statement which the swashbuckler made about giving her five times as much as what she was supposed to drink before. As the samurai walked on, Hyzenthlay followed closely still with a frown forever on her face. The enemic buster still waved her club at everyone that they passed by, and it really was odd that the guard system was not triggered by that just yet. Then again, the rabbit was connected to its tamer and Caerbannog was not brandishing -her- weapon, so maybe Hyzen’s club did not count as Caer’s weapon? Or maybe it was because she had never actually hit anyone with it despite the blood of her previous victims which stained the item.
The swashbuckler stopped by some place to purchase some more things that he needed for his craft. Caerbannog absentmindedly poked a few items but nothing registered; all she thought about was the prospect of a drink, or five. Before long, Pwyll led the samurai and her rabbit to a nice little establishment and the smell of the food in that place was most welcome to the enemic buster whose mood lightened up. The samurai followed the fox tail to a secluded corner without asking as much as a word about anything; she just wanted her booze, dammit! The girl sat down and looked at Pwyll in anticipation, and when the drinks were ordered then served, she immediately grabbed one and drank it up.
As for Hyzen, she sniffed at the fries which had just arrived but recognized them to be the spud which was noxious to rabbits, so she glared at the thing and turned away. The creature then set her eyes on the burger- mmm burger. She reached out her grabby paws and wiggled her fingers even as she laid her ‘hands’ on the burger. Was she going for the patty? Oh no... another step towards being a carnivo... wait, no, she just reached for the lettuce and pulled it out from between the patty and buns. Meanwhile, the samurai had finished her drink; obviously she was not slowing down. She wasn’t there to play games. She was there to drink!
“ANOTHER!” the girl exclaimed as she pounded the table with her empty mug, “ANOTHER!!!”

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Watching the ball of fluff take the lettuce out of the burger, he just remembered that it was a herbivore. Noticing that at the same time Kyuu had finished her drink, he was surprised. If anything, he didn't want to be outdone in this. He now realized the full weight of what he had done. This girl wanted to drink. And to drink only. Taking a deep breath in and a long exhale, he grabbed his own mug and downed it in several seconds. He called the waitress over and ordered another four drinks for each of them, so eight all up. He also ordered a salad for the enemic buster. When the waitress looked a bit dubious and worried about the domesticated monster, Pwyll used his Courtesan skill to convince the waitress that everything was alright. As she went away to get the next batch of drinks with the help of a second waitress, Yuu munched on some chips.
「At this rate, I'm not gonna satisfy you. In real life, I use to be a waiter. It won't do any good to see someone unsatisfied with their given amount. So here's my next deal. I'll drink at the same rate you do, and the first to be unable to drink has to go to sleep. I will also add in a rule: Every time you finish a drink, you have to grab the tail of the other person. You could say this is a race. As long you follow these, I'll buy the drinks until you can't continue. So that it's not entirely unfair, you can add one more rule, but it has to be reasonable.」 Saying all this, the salad arrived first and was placed in front of the furball on the side. Eating a few more chips, the obsidian eyed adventurer kept an analyzing eye on the wolf hair.
He was certain he could handle another ten drinks one after the other without losing his composure, and start feeling that buzz by then. With a few more after that, he would be getting into the same happy drinker mood Kyuu was currently at. If he threw in the fact his tail may be pulled every time she finished a drink, he may be able to handle even less. So the entire point of his rules and game was to either get Kyuu drunk to the point she passes out, or to out-drink her and make her resign by tugging on her tail. Bringing his own tail up, he had it stick up and hover near the table. That way, it could be grabbed whenever. He had a feeling that the entire table they were on would be full of empty mugs soon, but no matter.
Watching two People of the Land dressed as waitresses come out, each with four drinks in hands, they headed towards Pwyll and Caer's table. Placing down all of them in front of Pwyll, he waited for Kyuu to accept the drinking game and rules, as well as state her own rule, before moving four of the drinks in front of her. Without delay, he downed his first in several seconds, his second in a dozen or so seconds, third in about half a minute, and then taking the last one bottoms up without spilling a drop. Slamming the final mug on the table, Yuu let out a long "kheeee" sound as he expelled all the fuzziness from his throat. Pushing his mugs to the side, he called the waitress again, having to apply his courtesan skill again for safe measure.
This time, he decided to get them to continue bringing drinks out until they stopped and that he would pay upfront the moment the drinking stopped. He didn't have anything else to spend his money on, so it was alright. The sudden intake of alcohol made his head go fuzzy for a few seconds, but nothing after that. He knew he had alcohol in his system, but knew well enough how to suppress it. When he properly went drinking, it was usually in a house with mates, each with their own, and he usually had a box of 24 bottles of the highest percentage RTD's available. And a bottle of spirits to go with games.
[Game terms/rules accepted] Pwyll reached over the table at Caer's fluffy wolf tail and gave it one tug, let go, then tugged again. He did this for four tugs, leaving his own tail out to be pulled. His own tail felt weakening when tugged, since he had tried before.

| StatusWants that waitress' milkshake. OOC Notes--- Oh boy. Now Pwyll’s really done it. If there was anything that Caerbannog did not know about herself, but rather well-known to those whom she was close to particularly some members of their unofficial adventuring party and her brother Kumori, it was that Kyuu Schwarz was a horrible drunk. And no, it was not the wreck-things kind of horrible, or the laugh-at-everything-including-funerals horrible. Caerbannog was a 4chan-level drunk. Everything and nothing makes sense at the same time, and her already strange flow of logic would grow even stranger. Furthermore, drunk Caer would not fall tired or asleep the more her brain got addled. Rather, she’d start seeing rainbows and unicorns and demand more drinks. Let me tell you a story of that one night when the girl went drinking, the only time that Kyuu ever drank in the real world, which subsequently made Ryuu very against her drinking ever again ever forever. The memory itself had been erased from the girl’s mind due to her second death in Elder Tale, but it had never been brought up in any conversation so she’d not realized that it was gone and Ryuu had no idea that she lost that memory either. So anyway, onto what really happened. Kyuu Schwarz was quite the introvert but she was not disliked. She’d never done any wrong to anyone, wasn’t the smart aleck type, greeted people in passing but never lingered long enough to annoy people, and participated in group works to the best of her ability though with as few words as possible. However, she was not well-liked either. Kyuu was just in the so-so zone, but Ryuu had a few friends who thought that she was okay. One fateful night, Ryuu’s friends actually invited the girl over without informing her brother first. To say that the young man was surprised to see Kyuu there was an understatement; he knew that there would be some drinking and, although he did not yet know that she was a horrible drunk, Ryuu was not keen on having to drive a drunk Kyuu back home. It would be terribly difficult to explain to her father, but what’s done was done and it would have been rude to pull her out of the party. It was a weekend too so hey, if she ever got too drunk then she could just sleep it off, right? WRONG. Three hours later, most of the people in the party had either gone home or those who were too drunk to drive were passed out all over the house, but Kyuu was still drinking. And drinking. And another one. Sometime later she got a hold of a permanent black marker and started drawing on people’s faces, including Ryuu’s when he nodded off while waiting for her to pass out. Whatever happened afterwards was the young man’s story to tell. Point was that Caerbannog is an abyss for alcohol. The one thing that might work in Pwyll’s favor though was the rule that he made up. Caerbannog stared up at the swashbuckler; unlike him, she needed strong emotions to summon up her wolf features. That was an easy enough task- Caerbannog just went into the “This isn’t a drinking game... THIS IS SPARTA WAR!” mindset, and her tail and ears appeared. Her eyes flickered between gold and blue though. Now that that was out of the way, she turned a little to her side so that her tail dangled off her chair since it was shorter and less fluffy compared to the fox tail’s. Four drinks? EASY! Caer drank up each mug as if it contained water and guzzling down all that alcohol was a non-issue. By the third yank to her tail though, the girl flinched but went back to the tail-dangle position. She herself only tugged at Pwyll’s tail lightly, having remembered what Stryke said before about the odd sensation of having puppy ears and a tail. Lastly, a rule eh? The girl called a waitress over and whispered to her. The lander seemed surprised but she giggled after the instructions were given; she hopped into the kitchen momentarily and returned with two milkshakes. Caerbannog distinctly remembered milkshakes having been involved in a certain game that she played before, and it only took a bit of imagination to give those instructions to the waitress who happily complied. More drinks meant more money for their establishment after all. “One milkshake every three drinks,” was the samurai’s rule. But the milkshake was not a regular one, oh no. It had to be alcoholic. Pwyll could choose his own mix in succeeding turns, but the first two that Caerbannog ordered were both chocolate vodka milkshakes with a heavy serving of whipped cream. The samurai stuffed her face full of the sweet drink and twitched her ears at the swashbuckler while waiting for him to continue their ‘game’. As for Hyzenthlay, she’d shot a weird look at Pwyll a while ago since the salad which was served to their table had tomatoes. Every rabbit knew that onions, tomatoes and potatoes were bad, bad things for them. Unlike rabbits in the real world which would die, frenmic rabbits and enemic busters would merely have gas or something similar if they ate the things, but no lady like Hyzen would ever do something that could make her fart in front of other rabbits or in front of her tamer. The rabbit did like the rest of the salad, mostly the greens and the carrot slices; but the tomato slices made her go lolnope. WC: 925 || Code by Neun of ET. Artwork by Taamo. |

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Having his tail pulled gently, Pwyll couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed and ticklish at the same time. Having non-existent nerves being stimulated was a weird experience, though he was sure it was different for each person. Letting everything settle down in his gut, he watched the waitress and Kyuu converse for a short while, with both smiling by the end. And then out came the milkshakes. Oh no. Please no. Hearing Kyuu state her rule, his face tensed up with a fake smile as he let out a few nervous laughs. He knew how bad he was with sugar in large amounts. It was similar to how the girl in front of him was acting with the addition of alcohol. Looking over at the enemic buster for support, his hopes were crushed as he watched the ball of fluff eat only certain foods. Now knowing which ones it couldn't eat, Yuu began picking out the things such as tomatoes and scoffing them down, followed by eating the french fries.
Looking back at his milkshake after eating some fatty foods, it looked mighty appetizing but... he may be in over his head. He once had a big dessert after dinner, back when he was first adopted. Him and his brother were spoiled back then to start with. His family then found out he had an addiction to sweet things. He had gotten some taste for sweet things before the orphanage, and though he never realized, that craving for sweet things built up inside the orphanage. He could control his sugar rush since he knew his limits, but now he wouldn't be able to stop since it was a rule in the game. When he consumed sugar in large amounts as a child, he was on such a rush that he started by not being able to sleep, getting up in middle of the night, consuming all things sugary, then proceeding to run around the entire house for a few hours, escaping everyone's attempts to catch him, before finally being thrown in a cold shower.
Sure, his limit before getting tipsy with alcohol would be about 10 drinks or so, but his limit with these milkshakes? Probably about 2. Or 3. When that happens, he will no longer hold back. And he will have the munchies. Pulling the waitress over, he downed the milkshake as quick as he could, managing it in about a minute with some brain pain. When the waitress came up to him, he ordered six more greasy burgers and two more salads to suit the taste of the fluffball that was on the table. He needed the burger to try balance out the sugar. Eating's cheating? This is war. There is no such thing as cheating. As the next two drinks came to make 6 drinks all up since starting the game, he did bottoms up on both, letting out another 'khee' to release the bubbles in his throat with that feminine voice. And then along came the second milkshake. Already?
At the moment, the two adventurers were on opposite sides of a rectangular table which was holding empty mugs, plates of food, milkshakes and full mugs, and an enemic buster. Deciding it was annoying to reach over everything to grab Kyuu's tail, Yuu hopped up and went on the same side, pulling her tail twice gently. Or rather, one was a tug, the other was a slip of the hand as he ended up stroking it awkwardly. With that done, he dug into his oh so sweet second milkshake, scoffing it down as best as he could. The look of bliss on his face alongside the soft, smooth cheeks made him look even more feminine as his ears and tail moved about happily.
Once the milkshake was done, he grabbed the burger that was already on the table and began eating. The waitresses came and left the next lot of burgers on the table which he was grateful for. It seemed the mood of the inn was beginning to pick up as well as more people were getting into the drinking mood. It seemed it was that time of day now. But he couldn't really care much about that. He had his own stuff to worry about. Not even realizing it, he had eaten his entire burger so quickly. With that, he called out to the waitress for another round of drinks, each round consisting of three drinks per person and a milkshake. Oh gods...

| StatusProbably needs intervention. OOC Notes--- Was death via alcohol poisoning possible in Elder Tale? According to Caerbannog’s previous encounters when she played the King’s Game and Ring of Fire, it wasn’t. That, or her liver was also high-leveled like the rest of her. One could even imagine it putting some war paint on whenever the girl was out on a drinking spree. Not that she did that often; the samurai only drank when the opportunity presented itself, and whenever she was preoccupied with other things such as adventuring, she did not crave alcohol. Pwyll’s ‘mistake’ was an opportunity as good as any other though, and so the wolf-hair had grabbed it and would not easily let go. As a certain dwarf once said; with free booze and food, who would complain?
“ANOTHER!” was the samurai’s battlecry as she downed her first milkshake.
Next up was another round with two drinks per person since they were up to an odd total of drinks. Caerbannog had a total of six already, plus one because of the milkshake, but that was nowhere close to what she had in her previous drinking sprees. Only those who were close to her or fortunate enough to party with her at that time knew about it though, and so it was not exactly common knowledge that the girl was alcoholic. Perhaps someone could intervene... but who would want to go up against a high-leveled adventurer, and a tank at that? She wasn’t invincible, but she’d be hard to go up against that’s for sure.
“More more more!” Caerbannog excitedly chanted as the next round was served to her.
The first one went down smoothly what with the delicious sweetness which lingered in her mouth after having gulped down the spirited milkshake. The second one was fairly average; she did not feel full or tipsy yet and the full flavor of the drink was still not lost to her. It wasn’t bad but was not exceptionally good either. Better than piss water for sure, however. Suddenly the swashbuckler was by her side and there came two tugs to her tai- one rather rough but the next one was surprisingly subdued; still, the girl did not retaliate and she tugged Pwyll’s tail as gently as she could.
It was then time for another milkshake which Caerbannog ordered to be the same as the previous ones. If Pwyll wasn’t going to order a different recipe, then she would stick with the starting milkshake too. Mmm~ so good. Elder Tale was awesome. In the real world, the girl would not have been able to drink so much milk due to her lactose intolerance, but in the game turned reality, she could have as much as she wanted. Granted, too much sweetness could affect her appetite and consequently her weight in the long run, but as long as she went out to fight and thus exercise daily, then it should be fine.
“YAY! More drinks!” Caerbannog exclaimed gleefully as the next round was served.
The number at that point was three, and it would probably be three per round from then on. Not one, not two, not four- exactly three. As a quote from a movie said: ‘Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.’ The first one was gulped down quickly at which point Caerbannog’s senses were numbed a bit. Her wit was still about yet the taste of alcohol was no longer noticeable: perfect. With that out of the way, she could focus on the drink’s effects which was what the girl wanted in the first place. The second and third were even more quickly drank, but the sensation on her tail was something that the girl could still not get used to. After every tug, the wolf-hair’s tail twitched and she had a sour expression on her face. Boy, she did look forward to that milkshake so that her tail could rest a bit.
Hyzenthlay watched the curious play between the adventurers but she did not say one word or let out even a singular shriek. As long as she could stuff her face with delicious vegetables, the enemic buster was content. Caerbannog did not seem to be in harm’s way either, and in fact, she looked fairly happy with whatever her current circumstances were.

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
He felt like a cat. Each time his tail was pulled, he felt like he was going to purr. It was enjoyable. Sort of like having a massage on his own body, that similar sort of feeling. As the next round of drinks showed up, Pwyll did a cheers with Caer's mug as he began downing it. He had a pretty good memory, so he knew how many drinks he was on. However, he couldn't be bothered counting anymore. It probably wouldn't do any good to count anyway. As long as he remembered to drink three, then down a milkshake, he would be fine. He had to focus all his attention on that milkshake anyway, since that was what was more likely to cause him to go overboard. Putting the empty mug on the table, he stroked Kyuu's tail gently once, returning to drinking his next mug. The waitresses looked like they were getting pretty busy as well.
Finishing his next mug, his second of three, he stroked Kyuu's table and then raised a hand for the waitress. They didn't look too happy at the moment since she was hard pressed. Using 「Allure」, he smoothed things over with her when she came over, asking her to stick with just their table since they would probably be continuing at such a fast pace. Using his communication skills which were yet to be impaired or slurred from drinking, he managed to convince the Lander to focus only on their table and bring out drinks as soon as they were ready. With that out of the way, Yuu drank his third mug and slid it across the table to the rest of the empty mugs. His third milkshake was next. Stroking Kyuu's tail again, Yuu did it as gently as his own was pulled before looking at his milkshake.
Time to take it down. Drinking all the liquid out of it that he could, he moved on to shoveling the sweetness into his mouth. All he could taste on his tongue was sugar. Sweet, sweet sugar. No longer could he taste the alcohol going down his throat since the guilty pleasure of his was all he could register now. As he finished it off and licked his lips, his face was softening up with his eyes sparkling. That made 10 drinks and 3 milkshakes. To make sure the sugar didn't control his thoughts, he got to work on eating the burger that he had ordered. Taking a bite of the juicy burger, he felt the sweetness disappear. Just like he wanted, as regretful as it was. Finishing the burger, he wondered how much his stomach could handle.
In reality, Yuu had never devoured so much before in one sitting. Two burgers, a side of fries, 10 drinks and three milkshakes within the last hour. He was now at his limit of being sober, but he had to wonder how an adventurer's stomach was like to be able to pack away so much and not burst. He would probably be feeling the strain in the morning, if he didn't regurgitate it all. He knew his head was going to be having a party after all that. As long as he downed as much water as possible before sleeping, he would be fine. Again, that is if his stomach can fit it all. Almost a minute after finishing his milkshake, the next round came. It was taking about ten minutes to get through a single round and having the next one available, though that was sure to slow down from now on.
「From here on out, Yuu will be getting tipsy. Another ten, Yuu will be getting drunk and happy. Another two milkshakes? Yuu will be... heheh...」 With his head down and bangs covering his eyes, his grin looked rather malicious. He would be fine on the milkshake side, but he only had another two burgers left. After that, all the sugar would go straight into his body untainted. Thanks to the burgers, the alcohol wasn't as effective so maybe until the end of this round, he would be sober. Tipsy by the end of the round, for sure. Chugging all three mugs one after the other with only a single breath in between, the familiar 'kheeeee' escaped his mouth as he slammed the mugs on the table, shifting them aside. Turning to Caer with eyes sparkling and losing focus at the same time, he stroked that bushy wolf tail the set amount of times as he turned back to his drinks.

| StatusDefinitely needs intervention. OOC Notes--- What were they even drinking? Caerbannog began to question the drink which tasted less and less like what it had tasted like before. She looked at the contents of the mug which she just grabbed and squinted at the liquid contained within it. The wolf-hair sniffed at the drink: it was beer. Why in the world was she drinking- ?! Oh wait. She sniffed it again. There was a distinct scent from it and so the girl was able to differentiate it from the commercially produced shite which was readily purchasable in the real world. The waitress had been serving them ale, not lager. Well that was something at least.
Caerbannog raised the mug to Pwyll and then she drank up the contents. It no longer tasted like ale to her but who cares, it was an alcoholic drink and that was that. Another mug, another drink. And then the third one. She also watched the swashbuckler as he downed his share of the things and noted that his tugs were becoming more gentle, almost like her own. Probably like her own. How would she know? Pfft. So anyway, the milkshake was soon up. Mmm~ sweet. The samurai really liked that drink but there was something missing. A variety of flavours was lacking, and so she waved to the waitress who so kindly agreed to serve their table especially.
“A thing... request, uh...” the wolf-hair sounded semi-coherent at least.
The lander waitress, slightly worried for the girl who seemed underaged, stooped over to listen to what she had to say. The instructions were slower that time as Caerbannog thought of what to say next, but eventually she was able to give the waitress a full set of steps to follow. A nod to the adventurer, and then the lander was away. After about five minutes, the woman returned with two shot glasses full of clear liquid, two lemon wedges with two ice cubes beside them, and curiously enough, a salt shaker.
“Try?” Caerbannog pointed at the things when they were set upon the table.
The glasses contained vodka, a drink familiar to her and probably to Pwyll as well. The samurai then squeezed a lemon wedge onto the shot glass letting the juice rest upon the surface only. She then poured some salt onto one of the ice cubes and dropped that into the lemony vodka. The result was a strange mixture which was something like vodka lemon but not quite. Since the juice was only at the surface and would take a while to sink to the bottom if not stirred, the initial taste of the drink would be notably sour and followed by the familiar kick of vodka. With the salted ice cube dunked in it thought, a hint of saltiness was all over the place. It probably was not a good choice for someone with a sensitive palate or queasy stomach, but to Caerbannog who was merely alternating the bitterness of ale with the sweetness of milkshakes, it was a welcome change. She took the shot in one gulp and was done with it, and then she eyed the next batch of drinks.

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Eating away at his milkshake, he was feeling the same as Caer about the variety. After finishing his milkshake, he got on to eating the second to last burger, enjoying that fatty food even more now. It washed out the sweetness and bitterness in his mouth from the milkshake and alcohol. Watching the waitress take an order from the still coherent female adventurer, he tilted his head as he waited for what was to come. Apparently it was a custom shot. He had seen this set up before, but few people ordered it at the bar he worked at. He knew a variety of mixes as well, and had tasted each a few times. Watching Kyuu do hers first, Pwyll followed suit by putting his shot together. When it was ready, he had a sniff of it first to smell that zing, then downed it. When done, he flipped the shot glass over and put it on the table.
Having an idea, he talked to the waitress when she came back with the next round of drinks without the milkshake since that would be on the next plate. Talking to her, he used 「Allure」 again just in case and asked her to change the milkshakes to a strawberry and raspberry mixture, and to bring out two more shots. This time, it would be a snickers shot. After agreeing, the waitress asked about the female adventurer, wondering if it was alright for her to be drinking, despite being an adventurer. He must have looked like the older sibling. His response was that they were the same age, and close friends. That should dispel any further worrying. In truth, he didn't know her exact age. Satisfied with the response, with help from Allure, the waitress went back to grab the changed milkshakes and snickers shots.
Drinking his way through the next three mugs, he was finally finding that he was going beyond tipsy and finding himself drunk. From now on, he would probably be in a happier mood, have a harder time seeing, have slurred speech, and be holding nothing back. His eyes were still wide open, but his cheeks were rosier now as the alcohol started to kick in. From now on, he could drink like a bottomless pit as long as he had that buzz in him from the sugary sweetness he was indulging himself in. All limiters, so to speak, would be removed once he has a milkshake without a burger as a chaser. One burger left. Things would be sure to get out of hand after that.
Seeing the next two milkshakes and shots arrive, he watched the waitress put them on the table and smiled with a not towards her as thanks. The strawberry and raspberry flavored milkshakes would be a nice change, and the snickers shot could go first. But before that, Yuu stroked Kyuu's tail three more times. Fox and Wolf tails were somewhat the same but had differences in softness and fluffiness. He had to say it was about the same level for the two adventurers, but stoking a tail that wasn't your own was interesting in itself. With that done, he waved a hand at the shot glass for Caer to follow suit. The snickers shot was simple to make, and it started by having the glass twisted on a lemon to coat the rim, then pour in the drink followed by coating the rim with sugar. A couple of flavoring shots were added as well to give a sweet aroma and taste similar to the chocolate, caramel and nut bar.
Picking up the shot glass, he downed it slowly so the sweet taste would be left within his mouth. With a blissful look on his face, he licked the entire rim to get the sugar from it. The way he licked the shot glass with his tongue, making an enticing view, was sure to bewilder and entrance anyone who was watching as the breath of the adventurer fogged the small shot glass. But he's a guy. Placing the upturned shot glass on the table, he munched through his raspberry milkshake and ate the strawberry that was on top last, after drinking the liquids in the glass. To finish off, he ate the final burger. The soft bun with a juicy, nearly dripping patty in the middle, sandwiched by the lettuce, tomato, onions, fries which he had asked for to be added, garlic mayo and barbecue sauce. So delicious. And so the next round arrived.

| StatusNeeds a doctor, maybe. OOC Notes--- What was going on even? Caerbannog still had her wits about her so that wasn’t the problem. She just hit a wall. Although the wolf-hair still wanted to drink more and technically could still chug down a few more rounds without nodding off to the side, she finally hit a wall and it wasn’t the wall of drunkenness. She’d come to the limit of her stomach contents. The wolf-hair had been two drinking games before, yeah, and never once took a bathroom break. However, in those games she had quite some time before her next drink, mostly at least- unlike her current ‘game’ with Pwyll where there was only the two of them.
“Ughhh...” the girl suddenly put her head on the table top and complained.
She wanted to burp. She had to burp to make room for more drinks, but there came no burp. And no, it was not going through the other side. Caerbannog had been drinking quickly, but not fast enough to build gas in her system. The feeling of fullness really came from the sheer amount of liquids that she already took in, and her stomach was all but rebelling against her. NO MORE NO MORE it said.
“Just... another round... ugh,” the samurai said as she pulled over a mug and stared at its contents.
The girl really did want to drink it down to the last drop, but the very, very full feeling in her stomach refused. The vodka lemon did not take up much space, but the last milkshake did and the cream on top of every shake only served to make her feel even heavier. Caerbannog put up the mug of ale close to her lips as she straightened up, but her mouth rested on the rim of the container. Her body screamed NO MORE! and her brain was too much of a coward to go against it.
And so the wolf-hair stopped there with her lips on the rim of a full mug of ale, and her eyes on the enticing surface of the alcoholic drink. Maybe it was time to call an adult it; well, an adult other than the waitresses who would serve each customer according to his or her whim, and an adult other than Pwyll who was also quite the drinker. At that point, Hyzenthlay dropped everything that she was eating, hopped onto the table and began to stroke the samurai’s cheek. The girl had gone a bit pale, and the enemic buster’s worry increased as the minutes passed by.

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
With the next round sitting in front of him, Yuu was ready to start. His own stomach was probably able to handle one more round before reaching the limit, despite the amount of food he ate alongside the drinks and milkshakes. Since his virtual body was taller, he had a proportionately larger stomach to hold contents in. However, the same couldn't be said of the shorter avatar sitting next to him. Before starting his round, he looked to his side to see Kyuu laying with her face on the table, still attempting to drink. Even the bunny had stopped what it was doing to go help its master. Yuu was now drunk, so he doubted he could form proper responses, but the least he could do was clear his head. Calling over the waitress, he asked where the bathrooms were and to stop bringing out drinks now. His words were slurred, but still understandable.
「Eye gesss thhis is mmy winn... Off too bed wif yuu.」 First thing was to clear up that stomach of hers. He had read a few books related to this sort of situation before. One was a beginners survival/first aid book, another was how to get over hangovers and the third was how to get rid of a bloated stomach. Yes, he read a lot of random books in his spare time, alongside playing games. Using his memorization the best he could, he tried to recall some of the information. That, and he used his common sense and wisdom to think up what to do. Standing up, he was quick to fall to his knees as if he had sea legs. Taking a deep breath, he brought his tail to his front and bit it. That shock had the same effect as a cold shower as his face went pale and his hazy mind cleared up. At least temporarily.
Reaching over and picking up the most likely complaining girl, Yuu carried her with her head over his shoulder, and not on his back since that would make it harder for him to carry her while drunk. His steps were a bit wobbly, but he was taking it slow enough. Heading over to the female bathrooms, he let his natural feminine looks show. Though, he didn't really need to try as since he was this drunk, he couldn't hide that cute baby face of his anyway. Stumbling into the bathroom, supposedly with Hyzenthlay in tow, Yuu found his way to a sink which was at the perfect chest height for Kyuu. The best way to relieve a bloated stomach was probably to throw it all up, but he doubted the girl would want that.
Doing his best to keep his own balance, he felt the alcohol starting to hit him stronger now that he had stood up. And with the addition of his stomach contents shifting around and being compressed by his now in use muscles, he was close to ending up the same as the samurai he was propping up. The sink was in the event she decided to throw up, but that wasn't his aim. His current aim was to help digestion. Placing a hand on her back, he did circles to help blood flow, and then with his other hand, he wriggled it under her shirt to her stomach and began doing the same, sort of massaging her stomach to help digestion. If he bit her tail, she would probably throw up straight away, but he felt that pain and it wasn't pleasant.
He had done this same trick for his brother one time, though he was sober when he did it that time. With his tail almost recovered from the bite he applied to it, just remembering and still feeling some of that sensation was sickening. Like a guy getting kicked in the nether regions. His drunk mind did not let his teeth hold back in their biting is why. In regards to Caer's sickness, Pwyll had seen a show on tv before where they were testing the best things to eat to get burps. They stimulated it by rubbing their stomachs and gave a reason why they did so, but his current state refused to let him remember the words, only the image. Feeling wobbly in the knees, he didn't know how long he could keep this up. Hopefully Kyuu would be done soon. He wanted to go pay for the drinks, finish the ones on the table, drink loads of water, then sleep.

| StatusMixed feelings. OOC Notes--- Panicking never helped anyone but that was exactly what Hyzenthlay felt like doing when Caerbannog’s color changed from a healthy peach one to a pale white. When she touched the wolf-hair’s cheek, it was rather cold so that added to the rabbit’s worry. She looked around frantically and intended to draw attention to her tamer, but Pwyll was already on the case. She pulled Caerbannog out of her chair and carried her kind of like… how a parent carries a toddler? The samurai wanted to protest and she did so by reaching out towards the mug full of ale even as it went further and further away.
“Nuuu…” the girl cried, “NUUUUUUUUUU~”
To say that she was upset was an understatement. Caerbannog was being carried away like a child, and was being separated from her beloved rounds of alcohol. Though her face was pale and she barely had any strength with which to resist, her expression showed her disapproval of Pwyll’s ‘help’. She was also slightly worried when she noticed that they were heading for the washrooms, having thought that the fox tail would take her into the men’s room but to her surprise, they went in the women’s room. The samurai had mixed feelings about that…
…and even more mixed feelings arose when Pwyll actually touched her back and her stomach. She was gradually feeling better and so that was nice, but the fox tail, despite looking feminine in some ways, was most definitely a guy. Caerbannog put her right arm over her face as she sobbed, mostly worried and scared about what Ryuu-oniichan would say if he found out that she had been drinking AND had been touched by a guy. Or maybe that was the alcohol talking. The samurai was definitely not in the right state of mind anymore, so maybe that wall was timely.
As for Hyzenthlay, she had snuck into the women’s washroom right behind Pwyll. With worried eyes she looked on, not really thinking the fox tail’s gestures as inappropriate since the rabbit knew nothing about adventurer methods and skills or whatever they were called. The color was slowly returning to the wolf-hair’s cheeks and that was all that matter. For the first time, Hyzen felt genuine concern for her tamer and it would never have happened if not for the impromptu drinking spree. If only she could talk to her tamer and tell her that everything would be okay...

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Here is some of the background on the Twin Wolf Hall. It was an establishment for social interaction which served food and drinks to customers, and also had some rooms to stay in on the floor above. It was owned by People of the Land and hired both Landers and Adventurers alike, with the latter usually being the chefs and brewers. It wasn't too popular, but a fair amount of people came in and out. The rooms upstairs were used most often by those who had drank too much downstairs. Standing in the girls bathroom, Yuu was unsure whether or not anyone else was in there. Aside from that, he was use to being with the girls. Despite being a girl, the guys who didn't know him would always jump and run out whenever he went into the guys changing room and bathroom, thus he had to use the girls quite often when starting off. Even those that knew he was a guy would unconsciously jump and run.
Trying his best to focus on helping Kyuu, the swashbuckler was starting to stagger as he felt the mixture of fats, sugars and alcohol in his stomach begin to digest. He didn't want to leave her alone, but he had some things he had to sort out so that he could relax for the rest of the night. Seeing the girl sobbing, he wondered what the cause of it was. His first thought was the alcohol. It took him a while to think of it being himself since he was so use to being viewed as a girl. Moving on from this, he took a few deep breaths in himself to try add some air to the mixture in his guts. Feeling like he could leave the samurai where she was for now, he knelt down to the enemic buster and said a few words which were no longer slurred. 「Look after her, I'll be back in a bit.」
Leaving the girl's bathroom, he headed up to his previous table and sighed at the drinks still on the table. The mugs were getting cleared away as he spoke, so he quickly downed all the full mugs, followed by scoffing down the milkshakes and then taking his shots. Having this much while being intoxicated already, it went straight to his head. Turning on 「Allure」, he got the Lander waitress helping clear the table to grab his tail. After a bit of confusion, she grabbed it and followed his instruction. That instruction being to yank his tail as hard as she could. After some indecisiveness, she finally pulled and Pwyll shot upright, feeling his head clear with a mix of sensations entering his brain. Shock, Pain, Pleasure being the main ones. Less painful than the bite from before, so he wasn't likely to throw up now.
Rejuvenated, or recharged, Yuu head over to the counter and paid for everything, as well as a room upstairs. Looking outside, it seemed the clouds were letting out the last of their pent up rain, so going out now wouldn't be very good. Heading back to the girls bathroom, nearly falling over a few times and stopping a couple of times to lean on something and hold his stomach contents in, he walked in to go support the girl. Taking some more deep breaths, he spoke up as he approached. 「Well, you lost. Off to bed.」 Sounding short of breath, Yuu picked up Kyuu and found his way to the stairs. There were bathrooms on the top floor too so it would be fine. For now, laying down would be best.
Finding the room he rented, Yuu walked in and laid Caer down on the bed and found his way to the sink. His own guts were bloated as ever so he was on his limit. Only reason he wasn't in pain? He drank so much just now that he can't feel a thing. Only reason he isn't passed out or buzzy? Pain in his tail keeping him sane. And a mental fortitude he had tempered in reality. Running the water, he began drinking as much as he stomach would allow, slurping it where possible. After a couple of minutes, the mixture of air and digestion in his stomach led to a few burps which he let out without reserve. He had to shrink his stomach somehow. It was like pop rocks and fizzy, or mentos and cola in his body right now. Feeling weak at the knees, Yuu slouched over the sink for a while, trying not to puke.

| StatusLost the game. OOC Notes--- It happened. Something unthinkable, something seemingly improbable. The Beast named Caerbannog had lost in a one-on-one duel. The samurai sobbed some more upon that realization; she’d never been defeated before! Actually, she’d lost so many times on different fights but her addled brain disallowed those realities to cross her mind. What did cross her mind was that someday in the future, she would beat Pwyll at his own game. Oh, revenge would be sweet! Muahahahaha!
Okay, back to the adventurers and the rabbit. Hyzenthlay understood not a word that Pwyll said, but seeing as the fox tail left Caer to her own devices, the enemic buster stepped up to make sure that the wolf-hair did not fall over or do anything more than sob for as long as she wanted. Once the swashbuckler returned, the silver rabbit looked on and soon followed the adventurers upstairs. Soon enough, Caerbannog was allowed to rest in her own bed and the girl cried herself to sleep, unable to accept her loss. Hyzen hopped onto the bed, and would have tried to pummel Pwyll with a pulp if he tried to shoo her away, and laid beside the tamer to watch over her.
It was then that the samurai slipped into a strange dream. One of flying poptart cats, bananas dancing to a song about peanut butter and jelly, a brown bear in a van full of candies and strangest of all, there were two extremely long cats of pure white and pure black fighting in the horizon in what seemed to be the end of days. Alcohol really does funny things to the mind and even in Elder Tale, so it seemed. The dream passed and morning arrived, signified by the first rays of the rising sun which burned right onto Caerbannog’s face. She had fallen asleep while facing a window and if the sunlight to her face was not annoying enough, those rays shone right on her sleepy eyes as she opened them.
“Uwaaa~!” the wolf-hair screamed as she sat up, rubbed her eyes and looked around the room.
The first thing that she noticed was the enemic buster who was curled up right beside her. Hyzenthlay was quite a sight with her lovely silver fur and innocent face; who would have thought that a creature as sweet as her could be so murderous at times? Caerbannog then looked around the room for she did remember that she was in a drinking game the previous night, and that her opponent had been the swashbuckler Pwyll. The pain of her loss was still there but it was just a game, and she was quite worried about the fox tail’s well-being too.

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
Yuu knew he was going to feel bad in the morning. Slouched over the sink with the water still running, he finally felt like his could take in no more and turned it off. The amount of liquids, burgers and cream in his stomach right now were sloshing about. As long as he could keep everything in, he knew he would be reasonably fine. Maybe. In all honesty, he had never eaten or had so much to drink before. Letting out a couple more burps, he slid to his knees with his forehead against the wall. No more burps would come out, so his stomach was at its true limit. Putting some pressure on it in an attempt to squeeze out even a little gas, he felt his stomach contents push up his internal pipe. Holding his mouth, he stopped breathing, letting it all out slowly before taking a long, deep breath in. Letting it out slowly, he repeated this to the best he could with his heart racing so much. If his body could speak, he could easily imagine his liver, stomach, throat, lungs and heart protesting in anger. Of course, his mind would be the only calm one, maybe a bit happy on the alcohol.
He needed to lie down. And for a good amount of time. Setting his back against the wall, Yuu stared straight in front of him to find he couldn't exactly see straight. His head was wobbly. At this point, he couldn't care where he was, as long as he was laying down. There was only one bed in the room, and that was occupied by the samurai and her pet. There didn't seem to be anything else around, so for now he removed his jacket and placed it on the floor in a bundle as a pillow. It wasn't cold, and even if it was, he couldn't feel a thing. Taking off the long sleeve shirt he had on, since the jacket was short-sleeve, he added that to the makeshift pillow and laid down next to the bed. With what remaining brain capacity he had left, he listened to the rain outside which was hitting the windows. Hopefully it would be all clear in the morning. Laying on his back with his head on his pillow, the singlet and pants clad swashbuckler finally let his mind relax. In that instant, his tail laid down, ears limp and body loosened up. And his whole head went spinning from the alcohol taking over. Time to nap.
Drinking with others, Yuu only remembers doing it maybe five or so times since turning 18. Three of those five were with his brother with close friends. They had gotten quite rowdy, but always ended with a drunk Leif and tipsy Yuu playing the violin and piano. They liked to drink for fun, rather than for the buzz of the actual alcohol. It just helped the transition into that mood. The other two times were with the girls. Sure, he was a boy, but it was fun to be included with the girls in their drinking. The first one was rather extravagant in how they acted, but they learned from that and the second one was calmer, but relaxing. They spent the time talking about their girl secrets and stuff, and some were jealous of Yuu's complexion and skin care despite being a guy. It was a nice bonding session. He had lots of friends from school and work, but among them there were only a few who he could truly be himself around without feeling like he was being judged by his appearance, or being treated differently because his appearance, as if they haven't accepted it.
From there, his dreams moved further back to times when he had gratuitous amounts of sugar. At a birthday party, he was bouncing off the walls and no one could stop him. Another time, his class gave him lots of desserts before a school sports race and he won first place with all that energy. After finishing the lap, he kept running and didn't stop until his brother fed him something meaty and greasy. What appeared in his memories, or rather his dreams, suddenly began to warp. He started controlling his own self in his memory and doing other things while monsters and characters from games were popping up. The setting was changing according to what he subconsciously wanted to happen next in his 'adventure'. But what really turned it into a nightmare, was seeing himself from a third person view like he was controlling a game character. And then seeing that avatar of himself turn around, look at him, and talk to him. 「You're the player controlling me.Then, who's that behind you~?」
Turning around, Yuu saw himself, and this continued in a loop as it became increasingly disturbing. At one point, the stuff around him looked like oil on a canvas beginning to droop as the rain washed it down, while his own figure began to darken. After the background turned to a black abyss, the outline of the figure in front of him was illuminated by a blood red which expanded out into an orange like a flame. Thinking this, the surrounding area looked like a house on fire, with the dark outline standing there. Its lips were moving. 「▃▅▂▃▃▂▅▂▃▃▅▂▃▃▅▃▅▄▄▅▅▂▂」 The voice was incomprehensible. Or rather, it was like a sound that no human could make. It was as if the words had turned into vibrations of different frequencies like a bass speaker. The scene was unsettling. But to Yuu, it felt like a memory. Like he had seen it before, like Déjà vu. And it was scaring him. Why was that voice, that inaudible voice, resounding in his head? At this point, his mind came to a halt as if someone had dunked his body in ice cold water, shocking him awake.
Eyes shooting open, Yuu found that his fists were clenched so hard that his nails had broken the skin and drawn blood. Thankfully, the town protection system or whatever it was called didn't activate. His body was covered in sweat and he felt groggy and stuffy like it was too hot. He was on the side of the bed where he was in the shadow of it, so the sunlight wasn't on him at all. With bated breath, he glanced around with his eyes only. He was in the fetal position with his head resting on his balled up jacket and shirt. His stomach contents had digested well enough, but there was a sickening feeling as if he had eaten something bad and had let it digest. It was probably the combination of meat and alcohol more than anything. Mentally, he was shaken and it took him a while to remember where he was.
He had experienced nightmares like this before in the real world, and his brother was usually nearby. With eyes wet, but luckily facing away from Kyuu, Yuu remembered his situation and that his brother wasn't there to help him now. Shoving his face into his clothing, he wiped his eyes before regulating his breathing. Once he had calmed down, he looked in Caer's direction to see that she had woken up, and rather unpleasantly because of the sunlight. As she turned in his direction, he thought of how to respond to her. After all that had happened the night before, there sure were a lot of things to say. For now, he would at least say this. 「Ohayo, Kyuu-chan. Feeling better?」 He left his face half buried in his clothes, laying on his stomach with arms around his makeshift pillow.

| StatusTotally lost the game. OOC Notes--- Beside her was a shadow that slowly grew until it became a familiar figure, that of the swashbuckler Pwyll. In her sleepiness followed by such a rude awakening courtesy of the sun, the samurai had not noticed him earlier. His face remained half-hidden but the young man seemed quite unkempt as opposed to what she last remembered of him. Then again, people seemed that way when waking up and the wolf-hair was no exception to that reality. She tilted her head to the side trying hard to remember what happened the night before, and eventually Caerbannog scratched her forehead.
“Hummm...” she sighed.
She met Pwyll because Hyzenthlay almost bashed her club against him, and then they talked about blacksmithing and other things, and somehow that led to a drinking game. The girl’s memory was not bad at all, but there was quite a number of things to recount. Drinks, rules... then milkshakes. It seemed simple enough to recall but Caerbannog could not remember what led to her passing out in a room on a bed with a person who had until recently been a stranger to her. At least Hyzenthlay was there and she was someone that was familiar to the samurai, and was someone who could protect the wolf-hair as the girl was passed out.
“Did I... lose the game?” she asked Pwyll whom she recalled had given her his name, Yuu.
Losing was mostly upsetting to Caerbannog but then again, who wouldn’t get upset if they lost. Perhaps someone who intentionally lost to win a bet, in which case they’d still be a winner. The samurai was not the latter though, and so she was visibly upset. Caerbannog slid off the bed and patted her clothes down, and then she picked up Hyzenthlay and cradled the sleepy bunny in her arms. The sun was right above the horizon and she’d spent the night away from home, but not in the wild either. Oho, she’d be in so much trouble...
“I have to go!” the samurai took one look outside the window, and then she turned to and bowed at Yuu, “People will be worried! Guild people!”
She did remember something that she usually forgot to do though: Caerbannog sent a friend request to Pwyll. The samurai waited patiently for Yuu to accept or reject the request. It was up to him, really; she should have sent the request early on when he revealed his name to her, but the wolf-hair was caught up in the moment and went on her long-winded internalization so she forgot. Once that was done, she would kindly ask him for the way out of wherever they were. The samurai was slightly worried about all the lectures and scolding that she would hear upon her return to Aeryn, but her priority was to get back to the guild house first.

It's every shameful fall, every mistake that I've made
「Lost... by a couple of drinks...」 Yawning, Pwyll gave his response as he regained his composure. As he did so, his fox ears sprang to life along with his tail. Slowly sitting up, he felt a bit light headed probably from dehydration. Not enough water and too much alcohol probably thinned his blood out a bit too much. Yawning again while stretching his arms, he got to a certain point where he flinched and winced as he contracted his body. His stomach sure hurt, now that he had woken up enough to feel it. He would need a good salad and lots of water when he would head downstairs later. Stretching again, he felt the muscles on his torso, mainly around the chest across his ribs, begin to tighten in a similar way to tensing. It was an odd sensation but proof that they were there at least. Then he noticed how little clothing he had on.
Putting his long sleeve shirt and jacket back on, he gave out a final yawn as he slapped his soft cheeks and ran his fingers through his hair. A typical morning routine of his which was to fix his appearance before leaving the bed, and then the process of hygiene and nutrition in that order. Though, having just been drinking a lot the night before, he probably wouldn't do everything he usually does. Seeing Kyuu flustered all of a sudden, he waited and listened to what she had to say. Hearing her say guild and people, he processed the night before. He gave a fake smile/grimace in his head as he thought about how the entire situation would appear to someone else. Meeting, learning about blacksmithing, spilling personal details, getting drunk and collapsing in an unfamiliar place all to wake up in said place. That was sure to shock.
While thinking this slowly to himself, a friend request popped up in front of him. Blinking a couple of times, he looked at the buttons to confirm that they were the correct ones and that he wouldn't mis-click. Accepting the request, he gave a smile to himself and then a worried look at Kyuu about whether she would be fine, as in getting off lightly or being scolded for what she had done. Well, what is done is done. Being asked on how to leave, Yuu pointed to the door and then made hand signs to indicate the directions, saying to leave, turn left, down the stairs and then home free. Waving her goodbye, he thought to himself about what to do from now on. Probably back to the fully armor clad swashbuckler fighting solo out in the fields. He wasn't ready to come out of his shell yet. This was a unique case, so it couldn't be helped.
Standing up and making the bed, Yuu headed over to the sink and washed his face, thinking back to the nightmare he had. By now it had already faded from his mind and he couldn't remember the parts about his past. Washing his face again after realizing how negative he looked, he slapped his cheeks again. His tail still felt numb from biting it last night, but oh well. Just smile. That was how he had gotten through life so far, so it was only natural for him to be smiling. To be thinking deeply about things and showing a negative emotion on his face, or even a neutral expression wasn't like him. Feeling hungry despite having eaten and drinking so much, he headed downstairs after locking the room, confirming everything had been cleaned up.
Going downstairs, he found that the staff had rotated but the breakfast menu was available. Ordering himself a salad and cup of hazelnut mocha, he added a toasted sandwich to that and sat down at a table. When it came out, he tasted his hot drink first, letting the heat seep through his body and then critiquing the flavor in his head. Picking up his fork, he began eating his chicken salad (or the Elder Tale equivalent) and devoured it slowly, taking time to eat and enjoy it compared to what he had done last night. He had shoved down the food and drinks last night and completely ignored the flavors and enjoyment. He was unlikely to have any of those any time soon, so he finished his salad and ate his toasted sandwich which contained cheese, onion, bacon, chicken and sweetcorn. One healthy thing plus an unhealthy thing to keep the balance. With this, the next day had dawned on him.
