What was this?
Laying facing the ever so blue sky, her eyes couldn't help but waver. It was so blue. It was so calm. So peaceful. Nothing like the world that she was used to living in. There was absolutely no noise except for the rustling of the leaves and the whistling of the wind in her ears. Her eyes slipped closed for a second and she took a moment to take in the world around her. It was so nostalgic almost like a dream. A part of her wanted to dismiss this all as what it was, just a dream that she could eventually wake up from. But it wasn't a dream, was it?
Opening her eyes, she let out a sigh of irritation. That is the first thing that a non-rational person would think of. It was all a dream and eventually they'd wake up so they'd resort to things to wake their real self up, maybe jump off a rock or something or injure themselves. It was all stupid but she couldn't help but tug at her skin once or twice to see if she'd feel anything, which she did and it hurt like hell.
Waving the dirty wood-rotted spear in her hand, she watched the movements against the air. It all felt so natural almost like the spear was an extension of her own body. She lowered it so that she would be able to admire the craftmanship. It was a really shoddy work almost like the person who designed it didn't even put any heart into it. What a boring work, wasn't it? And why did she wake up in the middle of this field underneath a tree? Looking up, the tree was rather beautiful.
The leaves were a rather healthy shade of green and they made a canopy over her head shielding her from the suns rays which peeked through the cracks giving her warmth against the cool winds. A small smile formed on her lips as the irritation that settled into her bones idly melted away. For a moment, she felt peace. Not the type of peace that came with being in a nice bath or waking from a nap, the type of peace that came with just being alive.
The question that lingered in her mind though was simple.
What do I do now?
