Darkness Drops 1 / 3
Ingredients Used:
1 Impure Solvent (lv.6) 1 Mana Fragment 2 Impure Tablet (lv.7) |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Knowing that she couldn’t rely on just one ‘guinea pig’, Han then decided to contact another individual and see if he would agree to be the ‘test subject’ for the next series of research attempts she had in mind. And besides, the Pharmacist can’t just be limited to just restorative items… is it actually possible to have explosive potions here? We do have the Impure Poison one after all… she thought to herself as she began assembling the working space that she was going to use. She then went through the Inventory and with a few swiping movements, started dropping out items that she was going to be using. The reliable chopping board appeared; followed by its corresponding knife; along with the mortar and pestle that she loved using to the point that it was almost worn out; and then the glass bowls also made their appearance as well. She was hoping that she didn’t have to ‘cook’ this mix; but seeing that it would be inevitable, she then went over to the ‘corner’ and then piled up some more of the ‘books’ that she’d found and then began building a fire. It took her some time; but in the end, she managed to get a fire going. She then began fanning it, and then blowing on the embers to make sure it was going; before returning to the same working space and then poring over the ingredients she was going to use.
Of course I have to warn them not to drink it all, just taste it to see if it would work… she thought to herself as she then busied herself by taking out another stack of papers; and then placing it on the work space that was now assembled in front of her. She then decided to send her ‘invitee’ a message now; so that when he actually arrived, she would already be in the process of actually getting everything going. She then looked over her supply of ingredients and saw that she still had enough to use for what she was planning; so she then picked up a bottle that held a clear liquid; before uncorking it and pouring the entire contents of it into one of the clear glass bowls. She knew that there were certain impurities that needed to be ‘cleansed’ from the water before actually using it; and she then reached for one of the carefully-wrapped paper bags; and peered inside; and breathed a sigh of relief. There were still several Mana Fragments remaining; so she then shuffled through her inventory and decided to pluck one of them out very carefully using a pair of tongs; before setting it down into the mortar and then looking at it as it glowed momentarily.
Alright, close enough… now for the last parts… she thought, going through the replenished stock of ingredients she had; examining them before tossing them back into the inventory; but coming to a stop on some of the Tablets. They had this noxious scent about them; and she then selected two of them before placing it on the chopping board. This was one of those ‘shot in the dark’ ideas that she had in mind; but the pile of papers that had messy scratching on them begged to differ; what if she managed to create something that could impede a person’s eyesight; if but only temporarily? She then sighed; before going through her Friends list and sending him another message; hoping that it reached him in good health. She also included the directions on how to be able to find her ‘hidey hole’; and hoped that he wouldn’t be turned away by the… dirtiness of the place. Generally it was a mess but the work space she had to clean up at all times; because there was nothing worse than having a very dirty working space which had a high chance of contaminating the concoctions she was going to make! I hope he finds the place… she thought to herself, looking at the mortar before picking up the pestle and beginning to pound the Mana Fragment into a fine powder.

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0512 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Ryuu got a bing as he was working on some typical guild papers. He was ensuring that those who had recently joined his guild and making sure that all was in order. He had to make sure everyone who joined was given a room and training if they required it. Ryuu was level 65, but he still cared for those who were still trying to get there. Ryuu ignored the message for a bit, trying to finish what he was doing. He had quite a bit to do, so while he was doing the paperwork, the blinking message in his HUD began to annoy him. A second message came, finally prompting him to open it. After reading the contents of the message, he sighed. Pharmacy? Research? What was Ryuu, a guinea pig? First it was for Kyuu, now it would be for Hanelli. He sighed, contemplating what he should do. He closed the messaging windows and then looked at what was on his schedule for the rest of the day. As he opened his planner and calendar, there was nothing ahead of his schedule. He sighed. This meant he had no way of avoiding it, and it seemed like he was about to be a guinea pig again. Guess I have no choice, he thought as he pushed his chair out and stood above his papers. He replaced the papers that were in front of him to the stack of unfinished papers. “Guess, I’ll have to do this later…” he said. He grabbed his vanity clothes, some of his tablets in the case he needed to heal himself, and then walked out towards Hanelli’s meeting place.
“I’ll be going out… contact me via telepath if you need me,” he said to whoever was left in the house. It was probably empty… it was empty. He looked around and smacked his head onto his forehead for being a dunce. “Well… that was idiotic of me…” he sighed as he walked out of Aeryn’s house.
As he emerged from the double doors that separated him from the outside, the sun spilled into the room. He squinted his eyes as to not get blinded by the light. THE LIGHT! IT BURNNNSSS! Or at least, that’s what he would’ve said, if he wasn’t already awake. Had he become so holed up in his guild house that this was the first time he had emerged to the outer world? No. He wasn’t emo anymore, so why should this be his first time? He went through the threshold and closed the doors behind him.
Ryuu looked at the message again to figure out where he was supposed to be going. After several minutes of trying to figure out where this place was, he decided to just follow the directions given to him. He headed towards the place. With much determination and much searching, he finally found the place he was looking for. It literally was a hole in the wall. He knocked on the door, wondering if this was the right place. “Hello?” he called out from outside.

Darkness Drops 2 / 3
Ingredients Used:
1 Impure Solvent (lv.6) 1 Mana Fragment 2 Impure Tablet (lv.7) |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Han was now determined to pound the Mana Fragment into a fine powder and was doing so, completely forgetting about the lapse of time that was now slowly but surely ticking away. She still had quite a few more potions to research about and she had to shorten her queue eventually, so she was now in the process of cutting it down… somewhat. After spending several minutes of grinding the Mana Fragment, she noticed that the mortar was now full of some powdery form of glitter; but when she tapped the side of the bowl with the pestle, she noted that the glitter emanating from it was a faint shade of blue. Wondering if it was even possible for a Mana Fragment to retain its original properties when it had already been pound into a fine dust resembling grit, she then hesitated to touch it; but remembered that she needed the entire thing to be mixed with the solution that she was working on. Seeing that it was sufficiently ground up, she then went over to where she had isolated the two Tablets and plucked up one of them; before heading over to the bowl of clear glass where the Solvent was now exposed to the air around her.
Without hesitation she then dropped this Tablet into the liquid, and heard a sizzling noise as the solid made contact with the liquid; and she watched as the clear solution inside the bowl slowly changed color, with the melting of the Tablet that she had just dropped in. She then shuffled through her Inventory and then came out with the glass stirrer and then dropped it into the bowl, watching as the clear liquid started turning a weird shade of dark, forest green. Once there were no more visible traces of the tablet remaining, she then proceeded to swill the mixture together in order to combine the two ingredients. Once she had stirred the liquid a sufficient number of times, she then brought it over to the ‘pot’ that she had already set up over the crackling fire, and poured half of the contents into its maw, before returning to the work space and then flipping through her Inventory again, before coming back to said pot with the wooden stirrer and dumping the instrument into the liquid. She then began to stir the liquid slowly; before leaving it alone and returning to the table in order to proceed with the remaining steps. Now that she was halfway through, it was at this time she heard someone calling out from the ‘front side’ of her ‘hidey hole’, so she then stripped her hands of the gloves that she was wearing and made her way through piles of books, and upturned bookshelves, before finally locating the door and then swinging it open, revealing her special guest for this trial.
“Hey there,” she began in Ryuu’s direction, waving him to follow her and come inside. “I invited you over since… well; I need you to test this research attempt I’m making so that I can properly record its effects. Be careful; some of the book shelves fell over. Don’t want you tripping over them,” she continued, making the longer, more circuitous way back to the work space; where there was a working table; some sort of a ‘kitchen’ area; as well as a sofa that she primarily used for sleeping; but sometimes when guests came over she’d let them sit down there. “Have a seat on the sofa, I’ll be done with this shortly… and here, catch,” she continued, flipping through her Inventory and tossing a green apple in his direction; hoping that he’d catch it. Now that he was here, she then began explaining what she was trying to do. “Well, naturally, I’m trying to see if it’s possible to inflict status changes on opposing monsters, since some of them can’t really hit well when they’re temporarily blinded. I’m actually going for something like temporary smog that would block their eyesight, even for just a minute… therefore making it harder for them to hit what they’re trying to target,” she continued, returning to the working space and then slapping on the gloves again, before hefting up the mortar that held the ground-up Mana Fragment.
She then walked over to the ‘pot’ and then carefully tipped over the contents of the bowl, watching as a weird, blue glitter-like substance poured from the mortar and joined the bubbling mixture below. She then took a look at the mixture inside, and saw that the dark-green mixture was changing color and was now turning into a shade of purple so dark it was almost black. She then shuffled back and then plucked the other Tablet and dropped it into the bowl, and then began the process of grinding it up into a fine powder, as fine as the Mana Fragment that she’d ground up just some time earlier. “If you have any questions, feel free to ask, okay?” she said in his direction; hoping that this research attempt wouldn’t backfire in her face and go awry.

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0399 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | After a good 15 or 20 seconds of waiting before the door opened, that is if you could call it a door. He peered inside seeing several books on the floor, overturned bookshelves and just a general mess everywhere. He scratched his head trying to understand the chaos that caused such a mess, but hey, it wasn’t his place, but he was going to be here for… how long? It just hit him. Well, the mess wasn’t really his problem, and it wasn’t like this was gross mess, it was just books and papers, or at least he hoped. He walked in and thanked her by dipping his head, taking care not to step on any of the books or papers, looking for whatever open space on the floor there was. He ducked under some clothes that hung at the wall and then made his way towards the soda. She threw an apple towards him. His hand opened and caught it and he looked at it. “Umm… thanks,” he said as he wiped it on his shirt and then took a bite out of it.
She began explaining what his purpose was and what she was planning to do. “So… am I applying the drops to myself? Can’t we go and find something else to apply them to?” he asked, wondering if he was really necessary in order to do this. He sighed as it was apparent that he was the test subject and that he’d be doing the testing. It looked like he was going to be the one getting the drops and that mean he got to experience temporary blindness… Welp, at least it was practice for him, or at least he hoped it would be.
“Ah well, I guess I should be used to this by now,” he said, resigning to his fate of not being able to see for however long he couldn’t see for. “How long is it going to take… the blindness… like… how long do I have to be blind for?” he asked. “And can you make some type of antidote before we get to testing. As much as I like furthering the scientific community, I would like it if I could experience said blindness for as short of time as possible…” He was not looking forward to it, but what could he do other than to do what he agreed to.
