[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Makuso [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Makuso Iwakaze [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 17 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Ragna the Bloodedge, BLAZBLUE [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Makuso [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Makuso Iwakaze lived a peaceful life at home in Sapporo with his brother and uncle who was always away on business trips. His parents had died in a car accident when he was only 6 years old. Makuso had a scar across his right eye and his back as a result of the accident. He had a fraternal twin brother named Ryoku. They always fought, but at the end of the day, they were still brothers who cared for each other. His hairstyle was always a mess, with little almost spikes protruding from random places. Makuso had a strange genetic change which made his left eye a vibrant green and the right one, a deep red. Makuso's face was slightly angular with no real distinguishing features besides his stark white hair. Makuso kept his figure at a muscular minimum, due to the fact that he trained in Xiaolin-Do with his brother. At school, Makuso was considered tall, standing at 176 cm high. He was considered good-looking along with his brother, who had jet-black hair, standing at 180 cm. The other guys in school usually envied Makuso and Ryoku because they never had any facial blemishes and no real problems with appearance. Makuso wore his dark gray blazer and slacks to school which had a trim with color depending on years spent at the school. Makuso was a 3rd Year, so his trim color was red. He never buttoned up the blazer, which revealed his plain white t-shirt. Makuso also wore his personal high-top-esque instead of the regular black dress shoes that went with his uniform. Makuso wore regular looking glasses because he had spent so much time on the computer. He always wore a rope necklace with some sort of tooth on it. Makuso treasured it greatly, as it came from his father. Outside of school, he wore the same plain white t-shirt (Ryoku thinks his closet only contains those and his uniform) with black jeans. He had a chain connected to his wallet, which he kept in his front left pocket. Most of the time, he wore the same shoes he wore to school. At home, he did his best to tie all of his hair up into a short ponytail on the top of his head. This was an attempt to keep his no-acne streak alive. During the winter, he wore boots with lots of unnecessary buckles and a thick leather jacket. While walking, Makuso was usually seen with his hands behind his head. Makuso walked differently depending on his mood. If he was angry, he would thrust his hands into his pockets and hunch over ever so slightly. His clothes symbolized that fact that he was a simple-ish person. He fitted well into his society and was only differed because of his past. In the Elder Tale game, Makuso retains all of his real life traits, minus the multi-colored eyes and glasses. Instead, he decided to make his eyes always green because red seemed too menacing. Outside of school, training, and his social life, Makuso played Elder Tale for hours on end. His character wore a long sleeved red coat with a black coat underneath with the same amount of unnecessary buckles as his boots. He wore almost flowy in black, covered in light metals for protection. His light metal armor made him quite agile and barely hindered him. It was here, in Elder Tale, where Makuso could finally escape from the real world. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Makuso had never been to great with people. Though he had a buzzing social life (mostly with girls), Makuso had never really learned how to act around people the ethically correct way. This usually got him in trouble just about anyone who wasn't a girl who was interested in him or his teachers. Despite this though, Makuso didn't find it a bother to help others when they needed it. That said, he didn't tolerate people who only had personal gains. Makuso had few friends despite his popularity. Ryoku was his only real friend. When Makuso had helped the "less popular" students, they felt pitied because they thought Makuso had only done it to further his social standings. Makuso would usually lay down on his bed, wondering what he would do with his life. It was only a few years away from graduating and going into college and then the real world. He was a star percussionist, but that didn't have much in terms of merit. He was a beyond average fighter, which again, didn't offer much in terms of careers. Makuso was a high A student. He never fell behind in terms of his studies and had received several scholarship letters from universities all over the world. Though he had an exceptionally rational and intellectual mind, he never put it into much good use. Most career options open for him didn't appeal to him. This was usually around the time where he would force Ryoku to spar with him. When he fought was when he truly felt alive. His head was clear and his mind, focused. Nothing ever felt more great than a good fight. However, more than anything else, Makuso was lonely. He had no real friends or actual social ties to anyone. When people asked about his well being, he lied. He had always told them that he was alright. When he had begun to play Elder Tale, he thought of it as his way to be social without having to be awkward, or showing his face. It was Makuso's way of looking at a new world from a new perspective. As an Assassin, he felt like the world was at his feet. He felt powerful, even more so than he did in real life. He chose Berserker and Chef as his subclasses. With Ryoku's unwanted help, Makuso learned how to cook in the game. Since he basically lived alone (and since Ryoku was a terrible chef), Makuso did all the cooking in the house. He chose Berserker because he liked the contrariety of being a Berserker and Assassin. He liked to find new ways to kill enemies and new recipes and thoroughly enjoyed the roles he played in-game. There would be times where he felt like Chef wasn't a very good choice for a starting subclass. That was before the Catastrophe happened. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Makuso and Ryoku both had strange gene mutations in their eyes that caused quite a bit of teasing and difficulties in school. Since Makuso's eyes were two different colors, he had problems with describing himself. He never felt like a real person because he was always made fun of. No one would befriend and he was physically weak. But, no mater how much the other kids beat up on him or teased him, he knew that Ryoku would have his back. When his parents were alive, he had fond memories of them playing together and being the best parents that they could be. He had very fond memories of what little parent-child relationships he did have. Makuso and Ryoku were in the backseat of the car coming home from a movie when the accident happened. Makuso was extremely discouraged and depressed after his parents died. This was the only time that his grades faltered. He was later persuaded by a persistent Ryoku to make his parents proud by studying and being successful in life. In middle school, he was bullied heavily because of his hair and eyes. Everyone thought that he had died his hair and put in contacts. This lead him to begin to train with his brother in the martial art of Xiaolin-Do. Thought they lived in Japan, Xiaolin-Do seemed like a more interesting martial art. Since he had no school to study in, he trained with his brother, who was in a Xiaolin school. With this, he beefed up, not only due to the exercise. Puberty hit Makuso like a freight train. In his early middle school years, he was still considered chubby and was bullied even more because of it. By the end of middle school and after 3 years of training in the Xiaolin-Do martial arts, Makuso went from being bullied to being feared. Granted people still picked on him, but now, he was able to defend himself. Makuso was always a very studious person. This lead to more teasing by his classmates. He never let it bother him though. By his last year in middle school, he and his brother began to be swarmed by girls. Makuso hated it. While Ryoku was popular in the best way, Makuso was not. Being bullied most of his life, he never had any real friends. Being constantly asked out by girls didn't help his situation. He mostly hung out with his brother and his uncle when he was home. Ryoku constantly brought his friends over to try to introduce to Makuso, to no avail. He would always greet them quickly and leave to his room. Before his glory years in middle school, Ryoku would constantly bring his gaming friends over. The only game that stood out to Makuso was a game called Elder Tale. By his last year in middle school, he would retreat away to Elder Tale in his free time and not leave his room for any reason. His main combat class was Assassin. He liked the quick kills and easy operating system. Makuso loved a good challenge and was usually falsely arrogant to protect his reputation. He had always thought that people needed something to believe in. He kept his social standings in-game and in the real world high so that people could think something of him. When he entered high school, he found out that he needed glasses. When Makuso and Ryoku entered high school, they found out that a lot of their classmates from previous grades were there too. Most of them were now dwarfed by Makuso, mostly his old bullies. There were few people strong enough or brave enough to challenge Makuso anymore. He was well beyond fit and those who were stupid enough found out firsthand how much he had evolved. Compared to how he was in elementary and early middle school, Makuso had become a completely different person. One thing remained the same, however. Makuso was still lonely. No one had dared to befriend him. He was still revered and became the symbol of it. Only the girls were interested in him. None of them seemed to see Makuso for who he was. Until one day in his first year, he met a girl named Farsia. She was a transfer student from the UK and he had been designated to help her around for the first week. She was almost as tall as Makuso with curly blonde hair and an athletic frame. Her eyes were blue and sparkled like sapphires. After that week, their relationship grew. Makuso grew fond of Farsia and he even discovered that she too played Elder Tale. That gave him his motivation to play the game even more. Though it slightly angered her that he still went on dates, their relationship was on borderline professional. She stayed until his second year. That was when Makuso and Farsia became an item. People began to tease Farsia as well, but she had her way with words. Ryoku also had a good relationship with Farsia. They would often joke about Makuso behind his back or when he cooked. He didn't mind though. It was all in good health and they were funny enough to even have Makuso laugh at himself. At the end of his second year, Farsia's learning visa expired. They had a long and teary parting at the airport. Makuso continued to play Elder Tale with her until his third year. In the middle of his year, she suddenly didn't show up. It neared the end of his third year and she still hadn't shown. A week before the Novasphere Pioneers expansion was released, he saw her online once, but never again after that. After he got the Novasphere Pioneers expansion, Makuso was discouraged to play it. He was lonely again. He then saw Farsia on a forum that they roleplayed on saying that she had just gotten the expansion and was about to patch it. Makuso quickly did everything necessary to do so. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]Makuso's favorite food is and always will be a good steak. Makuso learned how to cook because of his memories of his mother's cooking. Makuso has never held a weapon in the real world. He prefers to fight with his bare fists and feet. Before a fight, Makuso always removed his shoes and socks. He was notorious for this. Makuso loosely based his character off of Ragna the Bloodedge from BlazBlue, due to their strikingly similar features. |

This technique is the first of the many massive damage attacks the Assassins have under their repertoire. It is a crude version however, a novice skill that serves more as the basis and foundation for future, more poetic, techniques. Requiring a long preparation time, the Assassin must focus onto their target, limiting their perception and leaving them vulnerable to other attacks, as they search for a weak point. Then by focusing all of their strength into one strike, the assassin strikes their target with all of their might into a single point, dealing critical damage. The mental exertion required taxes the mind heavily however, and the technique can only be used sparingly. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 60 seconds.
