With an ever increasing demand for food with taste from both Adventurers and People of the Land alike, Chefs were no doubt in high demand. That said, Icyferno had no intention on switching over to becoming a Chef. There were just too many people to serve, he would wound up being kept on his feet all day just to compete with the other more prominent chefs out there who had already made a name for themselves. No, it just didn't seem worth it to him.
However, he did think of another way to cash in on the food craze. Chefs needed a wide variety of food ingredients in order to keep their businesses running. These ingredients come not only from monsters, but from fishermen and farmers as well. That was the whole reason he was here in the first place. As a Pharmacist, it wouldn't be too farfetched an idea to do research on fertilizers to increase the yield of farmers.
In the real world, fertilizers were usually made up of chemicals such as nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium and sulfur. He hadn't these chemicals in Elder Tales, but he was able to locate specific tablets which supposedly improve plant growth, which may contain the Elder Tales equivalent of these macro and micro nutrients. Also, fertilizers in the real world worked slowly, which was why he had to invite an alchemist to work on this idea of his with him. In a nutshell, he planned to have the fertilizer imbued with magic in order to accelerate the process so that the rewards could be reaped quickly.
That said, he had no idea where to start. He'd brought as many materials related to increased plant growth as he could though. Perhaps the Adventurer he'd invited to work on this with him could shed some light on his dilemma. Speaking of which, he should be arriving soon, he thought as he checked the digital clock in his menu.
Since he was working with someone else this time round, he decided to choose another place to work in, as he didn't want anyone in the old two story building he had been using for quite a while now. In the end, he had chosen to meet Narihama on the first floor of an ancient building not too far from the center of town. Having no personal lab of his own, he had always carried his pharmaceutical equipment around with him, which he now laid on a part of the wall which had fallen off. Perhaps it was a good thing that his 'lab' was so mobile. In any case, it was funny how he was quickly growing used to using broken masonry as furniture. He should probably save up and purchase real furniture and rent a zone to decorate, assuming he could find it in himself to take the time to embellish it.

Notes: Feel free to invite anyone you want (maybe pk so we can get free food ingredients). Also, some tags seem broken so this thread won't have tags. I think the 'Closed' tag transformed into a 'Research' tag and created code confusion.
