The party members, including Hyzenthlay's summons, all made it to the riverside in one piece. They also managed to haul two treasure chests onto land, and so their venture into the water had been a successful one. After Caerbannog clambered onto dry land, she sat down on the riverside beside the treasure chests while Hyzen inspected every inch of the samurai's body to make sure that the tamer was fine. The frenmic rabbits also wanted to try their hand at the inspection, but Hyzen waved her club at them and so they grumbled to themselves. As for the wolf-hair, she eventually took note of the cleric's presence and thought back to the reactive healing spell that he used on her. It was barely noticeable back then, but that was just expected due to their level gap. "Fox-kun," Kyuu waved at the same time to get Reynard's attention, "Our guild doesn't have an active cleric person."Hyzenthlay's ears perked up and she turned to look at the fox tail. Though she did not understand everything that Caerbannog said, the word 'guild' was mentioned and she put two and two together. Reynard was guildless, so Caerbannog was probably asking him to join their guild. Although she did not like the fox tail, her tamer's word was law and she waved her club menacingly at the cleric, a warning that he should accept the samurai's invitation. At about the same time, Caerbannog sent a friend request and a guild invitation to Reynard. With her blue eyes wide and expectant, she waited for the cleric's acceptance... or cold rejection.

HE KNEW IT! This was some sort of set up by the guild! Quietly observing him and then probably sending in an agent he could not possibly refute. If this wasn’t planned then it was some strange set of coincidences. Though if it was as Reynard believed, why would they be actively seeking someone like him? Clerics may be rare and useful but there were others with higher levels and looking for guilds. Or has the number of freelance players dwindled since the Catastrophe? Reynard hadn’t bothered to look for one as he was more concerned with getting used to his bearings. Maybe this was a sign from whatever higher power was in this world that it was time for him to join one?
It would feel more like an offer and less like coercion if the bunny behind the wolfhair did look like it would kill him if he refused. Plus Reynard’s armor wasn’t properly equipped so he would last a single second if he gave a cold rejection. They sure planned this right, points to them. Two windows popped before him, one a friend request from Caerbannog herself, and the other the guild invite. She must be a high ranking member if she could dish out invitations freely... or she may be the guildmaster herself! With so many emotions running through him, Reynard felt like his motions were robotic as his hand hovered over the UI. If he had to narrow down his emotions, he would describe it as all color leaving his body as shown by his ears and tail pressing themselves down.
“Ah….” A slight pause as he was still at a loss for the proper words to say. Those two huge eyes staring at him weren’t helping either. “I guess I can join.... since you have kindly invited me.”
With a sort acceptance of his fate (for now), Reynard pressed yes to both adding Caerbannog to his friends’ list and joining the guild. The name above his own HP bar now showed him joined the guild “Aeryn”. He only hoped this wasn’t one of those “evil” guilds.
“So… please take care of me.”

Waiting for the cleric's acceptance or rejection felt like forever. Of all the members of the guild, Caerbannog had only ever invited one so far, and that was the dwarf. Her reason back then was because... uh... well, spur of the moment, probably. But this time, she actually thought it out for a lengthy five seconds. Reynard was a cleric, and their guild did not have an active cleric, so it made sense that she would invite him. However, Caer almost face-palmed when she remembered that Ryker was also a cleric; she should have invited him too! A ping! sound indicated that something was up, and when Caer looked at her interface, she noticed that the cleric was in both her Friends List -AND- the guild list! SUCCESS! The samurai sprang up to her feet so suddenly that Hyzenthlay almost fell back on her bottom, but the wolf-hair caught her silver bunny, lifted her up and spun her around, and then she hugged Hyzen tightly. "I did it! I caught a cleric!" the wolf-hair exclaimed, "Ryuu-nii will be so proud of me!"She then put Hyzenthlay on her head and from there, the silver rabbit once again glared at Reynard... this time for no apparent reason. Caerbannog's expression was completely different, however; she was all smiles as she walked up to the cleric. "Can you bake? Can you brew? Can you catch pokemon?" she asked, "Let's take this all back to the guild house, and you can meet Ryuu-nii and Mab-chwan and the dwarf! And maybe Oxford-kun too if he's around..."

At least someone was happy about Reynard joining the guild as he wasn’t feeling the joy. Maybe it would take a while for his feelings to mellow out and be able to put this incident in its proper perspective. For now he had to deal with his overjoyed teammate, now turned guildmate, enjoying her achievement in recruiting a new member. He couldn’t bring himself to ruin her mood by mentioning he wasn’t the normal type of Full Support Cleric she may believe him to be. But considering she referred to him as a pokemon, maybe that was the least important assumption he would have to correct her in.
“Uh…. I am of the Mechanic and Pathfinder classes if that answers your questions.”
Caerbannog mentioned Mab who he remembered but wasn’t sure if the dwarf she was talking about was the same one he knew. But considering the fact this was some elaborate recruitment process, she was probably referring to the spirits-loving dwarf he met before. The rest of the names he had no idea who they were.
“U-understood, I will just get my gear so….”
Said gear was scattered and still water logged but he was going to a strange and possibly dangerous place. It would be a good idea to be fully equipped despite feeling wet. Giving a one-over to make sure everything was equipped properly; Reynard turned his attention to the treasure chests they had gotten. He had forgotten about those thanks to the invitation.
“I guess we carry one chest each?”
He had to ask since Caerbannog was still carrying the rabbit, who was still glaring at him.
“Uh… is he still going to be like that?”

“Mechanic?” Caerbannog rhetorically asked the cleric as she grabbed a treasure chest with one hand and proceeded to pull it alongside her, “Can you make a gundam?”While the question seemed far-fetched, the samurai was interested in taking up the mechanic crafting class eventually. However, it was more practical for someone else to be a mechanic, so that she could provide the materials that the mechanic would need using her blacksmith crafting class. “I’m a chef and a blacksmith and an animal trainer,” exclaimed Caer, being strangely chatty since she found a topic that she could talk about, “I can make things for mechanics.”She then noticed the pronoun that Reynard used for Hyzenthlay. It was fortunate that the rabbit could not understand complicated things such as nouns and pronouns, and could only recognize certain words such as the name that was given to her by her tamer. Otherwise, the enemic buster would have bashed the cleric’s face in for having referred to the beautiful her as a ‘he’. “She is a she,” the samurai corrected the fox-tail as they walked along, “And she hates everybody except me.”That was the honest truth. Hyzenthlay did not even like Kumori who was the guild leader, much less the dwarf who had taken away her weapon at some point. Speaking of the weapon, Hyzen waved her bloodied club every now and then at Reynard, and eventually at any adventurer who stared for too long at her bikini-clad tamer. The road to Londinium was long and windy; hopefully, Caer wouldn’t catch a cold.
