“Oh, you silly bunny,” Caerbannog shook her head as she watched Hyzen gnaw on the fridge.

Hirosame did not seem alarmed by the item and had wandered off towards where they last saw Capsule, so it was nothing too serious. It would, however, probably take hours for the rabbit to cause enough damage on the fridge though. So instead of being bored out of her wits, Caer picked up her rabbit gently with both hands and then she kicked the fridge’s face in. Hyzenthlay threw her middle fingers up at the dissipating data crystals, and then she pointed them towards the incoming kobold and... what was that on the ground? A box?

“Is that one of- “ the samurai almost fell backwards when the thing screeched.

The sound was painful to her ears but more than that, it was painful to Hyzenthlay’s ears. And how did the enemic buster respond to pain? Well, she jumped right of Caerbannog’s hands and tackled the music box to the ground. She then proceeded to pry apart its lid from its body, and the hinges slowly gave away. With her hands free, Caer rubbed her temple; that screech really was troublesome. Nearby, Capsule was bludgeoning something to death and a little way to her side, Hirosame was laughing. But at what? It made little sense for the samurai was still confused due to the screech.

“Capsule-san,” the samurai called over to the enchanter, “I think he’s gone mad.”

Gorram Ikea furniture. Why wouldn't it die already? Capsule was laying out the pain here, and this stubborn ass was - whoops. Hold on. Somewhere among the bludgeoning, the coffee machine had gone kaput. Capsule blinked for a moment as she stared down at here now flattened cloak, where the machine had once stood. Good. The little pest was dead. By Capsule's count, that left the slowly being gnawed on fridge, the music box, and the turtle, assuming the latter had not already been disposed of. She kind of wanted the honors of curbstombing the thing.

The redhead brushed herself off as she stood up, turning her eyes back to the source of the troublesome sound. The music box was still going at it, though it seemed to have met its match, by way of an enraged and large rabbit. Capsule winced a bit at the brutality displayed by the Enemic Buster. Pulling it apart like that was overkill, but she was not about to spoil the rabbit's fun mostly because she shared similar sentiments in regards to the turtle's fate. Too bad he would make for a shitty turtle soup.

Capsule watched the rabbit go at it for a few more seconds, before Caer called out to her. Hiro was apparently being weird, and it did not take her long to realize "why" at all. He was standing near a train car, which had not previously been there before. '...You have got to be kidding me,' she thought in disbelief. Turtle, please. This was embarrassing. She was embarrassed for the turtle. Slowly, slowly did she raise a hand to her face, and pasted the open palm against is. Jesus tap dancing Christ.

After a moment of that nonsense, Capsule lowered her hand to gesture at the train car that was foolishly visible. "I believe we have found the turtle." It was also the source of Hiro's hysterics, but she felt that was a given. "You're not very good at this, are you?" The train car did not move or show any signs of intelligence.

Capsule rapped her knuckles against the mechanical monster. Nothing. She lightly tickled the sides of the train car, and despite the lack of initial feedback, continued until the car was trembling and giggling. She then stabbed it, and instead of giggling, the train car gave a load roar of pain. Hahaha, ok.

"OW! What did you go and do that for?!" Despite being in a much larger body, the Primitive Tech GR-1, formerly known as "turtle," had retained his childish voice. That made Capsule give a soft snort of laughter. "Don't laugh at me! I'm stuck, all right?!" Oh God, that just made it even funnier. It was her turn to burst out in laughter, though not perhaps with Hiro's bravado. "You stop that," the train car scolded. "Help me out, here!"

Short of finding another object for him to inhabit, Capsule did not know what to do. She supposed death was a good option, though. "A-alright. We'll help you," she gasped in between laughs. Right, guys?" The kobold had joined her, and was even prepped with his cudgel poised to strike. Capsule twirled her kukri around in her hand, and gestured to the others to properly ready their own weapons. Once everyone had received the signal, the kobold would leap in first and deliver the first strike. 'Now it's time for a Vandal city beat down.'

[Hirosame]

Maybe Hiro had gone a little crazy with the laughter, but it was still justified, to a degree. His laughter finally subsided enough for him to attempt to stand back up, but then everything changed when the turtle talked. Hiro fell back on his ass laughing again, and it looked like this time, even Capsule was laughing. Turtle still had such a shrill, loud, obnoxiously high pitched voice even in this form. This was more than enough of a cause for Hiro to laugh like a moron. He finally subsided his laughter, for reals this time, and looked up at the train car. While still chuckling a bit, he looked back over to Capsule. He nodded to the woman, holding his stomach which hurt after laughing so much. "Yeah, we can do this." He said, confidently. This monster was probably only going to take a few moments to dispatch, but he'd actually be useful for a second, and try to set the monster free for a moment.

Hiro walked over to the other side of the train car, and got ready to pick it up from the back. Now, it would be kinda tough for someone to try and lift up a train car normally, but Hiro wasn't a normal person. One could decipher that just by looking at the auburn-haired monk, what with his skinny physique and his discreet muscles, that he wouldn't be able to lift up, or even move, such a large hunk of metal. Yet, he's got a bit of strength behind his muscles. Hiro slapped his hands together, and concentrated his body for the task that he was about to perform. Hiro put his hands underneath the train car, and smiled a bit. He then began to lift up a little bit, barely able to move the train car, as his muscles strained. But, he wouldn't need to lift it up much, since his next move would make the extra effort worth it. It would also probably confuse the hell out of turtle over here, and make him/her wish that Hiro and Capsule would've just continued to laugh at his mistake.

Hiro activated one of his most common skills, and one of his favorites, Wyvern Kick, and quickly stomped his right foot down. He then activated another skill of his, Magnet Grip to keep a strong hand on the train car. With the rebounding wave of energy from the stomp, Hiro shot up into the air, and proceeded to flip the train car over. Letting out a powerful shout, Hiro managed to flip himself and the train car over in a matter of 3 seconds after leaving the ground, deactivating the skills and flipping himself around so that he would land on his feet on the other side, crouched down. He stood back up, patted his hands off, and turned around, looking at the train car. "That better?" He asked, keeping a cheeky smile on his face for the duration. Maybe Turtle would be a bit more useful, or at least, a bit more entertaining now. Hiro put his hands on his sides, and looked over to the ladies, asking them the same question. "Does that work for you two?" His smile never faded.

With all of her mighty little strength, Hyzenthlay successfully pulled the music box into two halves, which soon caused it to disintegrate into the air. The enemic buster let out what could only be interpreted as maniacal laughter at her success, and her eyes were all kinda crazy.

“Whoa... you need a time out, Miss,” Caerbannog unsummoned Hyzen before the rabbit could attack Capsule’s kobold whose back was turned to them.

The samurai then casually walked over to Hirosame who, as it turned out, was not crazy after all. He had just found the turtle, and with such a massive disguise too. Caerbannog began to wonder if it really was the turtle due to a lack of response, but soon the enchanter was able to elicit a reaction out of it. Caer did not really know what to do... were they supposed to kill it? Or just make it drop its disguise? While the kobold was poised to attack the badly-disguised turtle thing, the monk walked over to the massive ‘prop’ and flipped it over. Literally.

“Oh! We have to hold it down!” the samurai exclaimed.

In her mind, the turtle was still a turtle though now flipped over to its back. And what do turtles do when they’re flipped over? They usually flail until they are right-side up again, and she would have none of that. With her summoning option cooled down, Caerbannog called out her other creature of doom, the nightmare incarnate Foreman Mukade IX.

“Greetings, few-legged meat babies!” the four-meter long centipede waved its appendages at the adventurers and the kobold when he appeared beside Caerbannog, who was right behind Capsule.

He was as blind as every other centipede, but only because he was not in his natural habitat. The two glowing ends of his antennae hovered over to the enchanter as Mukade tried to ‘sense’ that adventurer’s presence. He could at least tell that it was a few-legged one like his tamer, and there was also another one like them nearby. The kobold puzzled Mukade though since it was the first time that he encountered such a creature. There was something else nearby, something massive- much bigger than the centipede itself, that much Mukade knew.

“I do not sense any threat. But did you call me out to fight?” Mukade politely asked Caerbannog as he leaned down towards her face.

“Hold that turtle down please,” Caer requested as one hand patted the centipede’s head while the other hand pointed at the train car.

“A curious beastie, but I shall do as the adorable little meat baby requests,” Foreman Mukade IX complied, “Please let me have some cake after this ordeal.”

He then carefully walked past Capsule and climbed up the train car’s side, which made the turtle giggled what with the many legs that brushed against it. Foreman Mukade IX then clamped down its legs along both sides of the train car, and just for good measure, he stabbed his maxillipeds right into the exposed bottom which earned him a yowl from the turtle.

Capsule was tense and ready to spring forward, kukri raised, when Hiro spoke up and went around to the back of the turtle train car. What was he doing...? Sure, Monks and other tanky classes were expected to be strong and resilient, but... surely he couldn't actually lift such a big thing on his own? Capsule considered summoning Dobby to step up and aid Hiro, but the man was already in motion - literally. Using some special kicking skill, the Monk and train car were sent careening into the air. Hiro landed on the other side, much like a cat landing on its feet. The turtle, on the other hand, was sprawled out on its back. The wheels of the train car spun helplessly in the air as he called out for assistance. "That works just fine for me! We just have to make sure he remains constrained."

It was Caerbannog who offered this time, with the assistance of a monstrous - yet polite - centipede. Capsule gulped at the size and level of the thing. It was an elite mob, so it surely must have given the fellow trainer some trouble, but at least it (or he?) was not as aggressive as the Enemic Buster. She was not too fond of being referred to as a "few legged meat baby," though. He apparently had a sweet tooth, as well, which she could not understand. Didn't centipedes eat other bugs or something? Why did this one want cake? If anything, she expected the giant bug to stare hungrily at the kobold. Poor Blue scales looked uncomfortable with the centipede's close proximity, though did not budge from his position. Perhaps he understood that the centipede meant him no harm, or was struck in awe by the thing.

The centipede climbed onto the defenseless turtle car, causing the latter to giggle... before stabbing into the car's rear end. Capsule winced, but still gestured for them all to fall upon the downed monster. Thanks to the centipede, the turtle would be unable to move much, if at all. The kobold seemed to delight in the trapped, oversized prey, and jabbed at the train car with one clawed hand. The turtle issued a soft hiss and a curse. Okay, now he was pissed, but so what?

Capsule jammed the point of her kukri into the car's underbelly for good measure. Blue slammed his cudgel into the turtle, laughing wildly and with ample glee. Capsule wasn't laughing, though. She hacked and slashed at the car, careful to avoid hitting Caer's beastie. The turtle yelped and screamed, no doubt crying to his brothers and sisters for help. 'He probably should have thought about that before he got us to kill them.' Or at least chosen a low key and small machine, as well as a less conspicuous hiding spot. ’Honestly…’

The Enchanter’s mind wandered as she and her buddies proceeded to give the turtle the thrashing of its life. She should really look into stronger monsters to scout and domesticate, though with her level being what it is, it might behoove her to beef it up a bit. ’Something at least as strong as Dobby,’ she thought, disregarding the turtle’s whimpering and cries for his mommy. What a scrub. Would you just look at this guy?! Pathetic!

So, all Hiro had to do at this point was to be a staple, holding the train down while the other two did most of the damage. He was wondering why it was taking so long for them to beat up a train car, which was a thought he never thought he'd think that he'd think. Despite this being very thought provoking, it was still mildly perplexing. If all they needed to do was beat up the turtle, then couldn't it be done with already by this point? Whatever, he'd just need to hold it there for a few more seconds, and things would all be done and over with. Right? Apparently not, as the monster was still there. Boy, those two were taking their time. Hiro was laying atop the train car, as if he wanted someone to paint him like one of their french girls. Of course, he stood back up and proceeded to add into the fighting. He wouldn't need to add much in, since the other two seemed to be doing fine as it was. He just needed to hurry things along, since Saeko probably wanted to go out drinking again today.

Hiro stood up, and began to repeatedly slam his foot down onto the underbelly of the train car, which seemed to have little-to-no effect on the outside. Wow, maybe this thing was a bit tougher than he gave it credit for. He was completely ignoring the giant ass worm that had just appeared, since it skived him out to no end. So, he just kept going, attacking consistently. Eventually, this got boring, so he started to jump up and slam his knee into the train car. It didn't hurt much, since this thing was probably about to give anyways. With one final slam of his knee, the train car bent back, and it was probably about to explode into data or whatever. Hiro gathered himself up off the wreckage, and leaped off the soon-to-be wreckage. He turned around and looked at the beast, anticipating its eventual death, and figured that the turtle would probably shout something out as loud as it could when it eventually died. Since that would be coming up sometime soon, he just put his hands in his pockets, and waited it out.

“Oh, this one’s an interesting meat baby,” Mukade quipped when he noticed Hirosame, “Such violence. Maybe he needs some cake.”

Few-legged meat babies were very interesting creatures, he thought. The elite centipede had always been curious of The Outside, and always did his best to suppress the urge to bite the heads off of everything that he encountered. Attacking adventurers did not end well for his forefathers, and Mukade IX was smart enough to learn from their mistakes. Why eat adventurers, when you can accompany them and have cake?

While the centipede was lost in his thoughts, Caerbannog walked over to the train car which was already being attacked by the other adventurers. It seemed to be just about ready to burst and die, but for good measure, the samurai punched her right hand into the train car. No weapons, right? She did not even notice that the others were already using weapons; Caer liked punching things anyway. With that final blow dealt, the train car shuddered and let out a shriek. Was it in pain? Do cars feel anything?

“Did we win?” the wolf-hair asked as she pulled her hand from the side of the thing, and then she turned to Capsule, “Do we get a prize?”

His job done as the train car began to turn into bits of data, the elite centipede crawled down one side and hopped down beside his tamer. Mukade looked over the samurai and ran its appendages over the girl’s hair to make sure that she was in one piece, and he sighed contentedly when Caer patted his... tummy.

“Cake?” he asked.

Beating the turtle train car down was rather easy, given the level range among the four of them, even with Blue's sorry efforts. The kobold reverted to a wild state, swinging his cudgel and laughing his head off as he danced around the swiftly deteriorating train car. Capsule stepped to the side, grimacing as the giant centipede hopped off the car and crept up to Caer's side, still going on about cake. She wanted to say something to it about ingesting too much sugar and diabetes, but then stuff like that was hardly an issue for a monster - especially monsters in this world.

"Did we win? Do we get a prize?"

Capsule shrugged at Caer's question. "I guess we won, but I don't know if we get a prize - ouch." She winced and reached one hand up to rub her head, where something hard and small had fallen on. Gold. Pieces of gold rained down from the sky, presumably from the train car. Mechanical bits fell as well, but nothing Capsule could use. She snatched her cloak off and used it to carry her share of the gold, which she was quickly scooping off the ground. This was a lot gold for one monster, sort of like hitting the monster jackpot or piñata.

Blue stood around, mouth agape in fascination at the gold bits. The kobold closed his mouth long enough to sniff at the coins, and even popped one into his mouth. He spit it out the second it failed to be tasty, and went back to doing his dumb little dance. "It's only gold, but it's still free." Too bad she really had not much use for it nowadays, aside from materials and the essentials, such as armor, weaponry and food. "I guess we're done, though." The only thing missing was the fanfare for defeating this poor creature. "Unless you guys want to do something else -"

A loud horn, something akin to what you might hear from a roaring train, sounded just right behind her. Capsule yelped and jumped a foot in the air, almost dropping her collection of gold. What the hell was that? She whirled around, her gold laden cloak poised over her shoulder and ready to strike, but saw nothing - nope nope nope. Rushing towards her was the incorporeal form of a locomotive, and though logic would tell her it was just a phantom, Capsule dropped to the ground and threw her arms over her head.

The horn's sound reached an unbearable pitch as the phantom train roared above her, disappearing into the wall like the ghost it was. If that had been an actual train… Capsule shuddered as she sat up. Sitting in the front of the train was the skeletal ghost of a conductor, his eyes red and mouth twisted into a toothless smile. What little hair he'd had was white and wispy, like a newborn babe's.

Capsule sat there for a moment, staring at the wall where the train had gone through, and after glancing at Hiro and Caer for confirmation of the horrifying sight, grabbed her cloak and knife and began running towards the exit. Gold coins clinked loudly against the floor as she forgot herself and grew careless with the handling of the fabric. Only a greedy fool would value the weight of his wallet over his own life.

Hiro sighed, and smiled at the completion of the quest. @dindeen's question about the reward after the quest was a bit strange, but it did serve as a good point. He wandered over back towards the two, when he noticed the destroyed bits of mechanical doo-dads by Capsule's feet, and headed into the middle of the room where the train car has once been. He started to walk around just a little bit, stopping at a point nearby Caer. He owed her another piggyback ride, especially since his cooldowns were off by now. He was about to go ahead and pick her up, when he looked back at where the train car once was, and saw a small, bite-sized piece, rise into the air, and start to quickly vanish into the depths of the cavern. He stared in perplexity, wondering what that was all about. Was it the turtle? Was the turtle still alive, and trying to escape or something? He would have wondered about it more, when suddenly...

A loud horn, echoed through the caverns, coming from the direction that the piece has flown off to. Was that... a Train? No. No, it can't be. No. No! NO! There's no way that there's a working train down here! All these trains are in disrepair! They're utterly ruined! So, what caused- "AAAAAAAAH!" Hiro shouted, as he saw the headlight of the phantom train, heading directly towards the three adventurers. Another loud horn blasted through the hallways, as the train got closer and closer. Hiro did the only thing he could think of at that moment: Move the neep out of the way! But, he couldn't do that, at least, not with Capsule right over there, crouching down now, and Caer just a few steps behind him! He reached back, threw Caer against the wall to their right, and dashed over towards Capsule. His feet moved as fast as he could, but he wasn't fast enough. The train reached her first. Hiro held out his hand, as it passed through the spectral car.

The moment this happened, Hiro stopped, in utter fear. His eyes were wider than they ever had been before, and his entire skin went pale. As the last train car began to move through his hand, he could feel another, bony, skeletal hand touch his. He looked up, and there he saw the dead conductor, glaring and grinning evilly at the Monk. At that moment in time, he heard a distorted voice ring through his head.

"Game over, Mr. Hunter!"

This was followed by maniacal laughter, as the train disappeared into the wall. Hiro looked down at his hand, and saw an engraving of some kind of spectral animal. This caused him to stumble back a few steps, and eventually on his backside. Hiro was stuttering, looking at his hand. Eventually, he finally got out the words he wanted to say. "That... That was... Turtle...?" He couldn't believe it at all. Was that demonic, hellish ghoul at the end of the train actually... The Soul of the Turtle? No. No no no no. No no no, HELL NO! Hiro had finally lost it, when Capsule started to run away as well. He ran over immediately to Caer, and put her on his back, before activating Eye of the Tiger, and running as fast as he possibly could. There was no time to put on any kind of sigils. There wasn't any time to even think about that. All he did was run, and make sure Caer was on his back still. He'd get them both out alive, no matter what. The adrenaline coursing through his veins told him to. Or... Was it Fear?

While the tamer and her pet were having their bonding moment, all the world around them stirred. Still, Caerbannog tended to her pet first; who knows what a hungry giant centipede would do to nearby adventurers? She took out the ice cream cake from her inventory, thankful that it seemed to regenerate on its own and so she had an endless supply of it. The samurai then put the cake up towards Mukade’s face so that the centipede could ‘feel’ it, and the creature reacted with what could only be described as ‘glee’ when the cake was offered to him.

“Oh! Cake! How I missed you so!” Mukade said, and it was followed by a low rumble kind of like a purr but creepier.

The elite centipede then carefully took the cake from his tamer’s hands, and then he put it up to his maw and ate the thing in one bite. His antennae twitched and his gaping jaw widened to a very horrifying smile. With this sight in front of her almost every day, it was understandable that Caerbannog remained oblivious to incoming danger and horror. A girl that would cry at the sight of tall adventurers merely stared at the incoming headlight after Hirosame pushed her away, and until the spectral train passed right through Capsule.

“Magic!” was the wolf-hair’s exclamation after the scary ordeal, but before she could further see what would transpire, the monk had already whisked her away.

“Is it time to leave? What was that horrendous thing back there?” Foreman Mukade IX asked as he crawled up the walls and joined Hirosame in his flight.

“I doooon’t knooow...” was Caerbannog’s honest answer, and the ending was left at that.
