It was late in the afternoon when Ame got her first request to actually make something for someone, and that item would take away the rest of her evening, but she was okay with that, since she loved to cook, and nothing could be better than cooking up something for a wedding no less! She was excited, even though she was a bit thrown off by the request. She wondered who was getting married but she wondered even more how they knew that they loved each other. Perhaps they had known each other in their real lives, or perhaps they had just felt a connection in the game. Either way, she knew she had a task at hand that she had to complete as soon as possible. First, she began to pick up the supplies that she would need. "Okay, so, I need apples. Check. A pie crust. Also check. And some cinnamon. Check." She definitely didn't want to miss anything so she double checked everything she had just to be sure, then knocked on the door of the PoL that had offered her her kitchen before.
After greeting her warmly, the NPC let her in without hesitation and they had a small conversation about cooking and how pies were always her favourite to make. Ame bowed her head to her and thanked her before heading off into the kitchen to prepare for her evening of cooking. She laid the pie crust to the side and brought out the apples she would use, then went over to a cabinet and grabbed the apron hanging there. She tied it around her back and opened the cupboard. She grabbed a large bowl and placed it on the table next to the apples. She then grabbed a potato masher, one of those flat round things with a bunch of holes in them, and a small grinder that she would use for the cinnamon. Then she grabbed a large, flat bladed knife and a stirring spoon. She set everything up neatly on the table and grabbed the apples. She washed them all and took them back to the table, where she knelt down on a cushion in front of everything. "Okay, now, first, core the apples." She smiled widely as she grabbed the knife.
She cut through the first apple on all four sides, making sure that none of the seeds had made it into the pieces she would be using. After careful inspection, she tossed the core and began to cut off the skins. She then cut through each piece, making long, medium- thick slices as she did so. She tossed the first bit into the bowl and grabbed the next apple. She continued to do that until all of the apples were skinned, cute into slices and half of the slices were tossed in the bowl. Her next step would be to grind up the cinnamon sticks she had purchased. Apple pie just wasn't the same without it, in her mind anyways. "I hope the couple likes cinnamon.." She didn't know a lot of people in the world yet, and she hadn't met anyone who was planning on getting married, so she knew she hadn't interacted with the couple. She almost wished she had so she could know, though she doubted that cinnamon would ever come into any conversation randomly. Yeah, that would probably be one awkward conversation. She found herself shaking her head as to not bring up any strange, made- up conversations in her mind, like she normally did.
She put the knife down, blade away from her, and picked up the small grinder. She picked up one of the three cinnamon sticks she had purchased and grinded it against the grinder. The pieces fell into small shavings over the apple slices in the bowl. This wasn't her first time making an apple pie, well, she supposed in this world it would be, but she was a veteran at them. She loved warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, something she wished she could add, though she was sure it would melt before the present could even be received, or would it? She tilted her head, wondering, but shook it off, since she didn't have any of the materials needed to make ice cream at the moment. She shook her head and continued grinding the cinnamon stick. Once it was finished, she grabbed the second one, grinder it, and grabbed the third, finishing off the cinnamon. The smell was making her hungry now.

Ame looked down at the apples she hadn't thrown into the bowl yet and swore she started drooling, though when she went to wipe it away with her arm, nothing was there. 'This isn't for you, Ame, so stop it!' She shrugged her shoulders sadly, but then shook her head. She was on a timeline and needed the pie done as soon as possible and she had quite a bit of work left ahead of her. She placed the grinder down next to the knife, since she was now finished with that tool, and picked up the potato masher. She pushed down on the apples and ground up cinnamon and began to frantically mash it all together. It took her a few minutes before it was the consistency that she felt she she wanted but she smiled down at it. The juices from the mashed up apples would caramelize as it cooked for that soft, gooey texture that was common in all apple pies. She nodded her head, feeling happy with her work so far and she could smell the cinnamon as it infused itself in the mashed up apples. She then proceeded to grab the other half of the apples she hadn't mashed up. She threw them into the mixture and then got up and grabbed a spoon from the drawer that held everything else she needed. She knelt back down and stirred it all together so that the full apple slices would be coated with the mashed ones.
She then set it aside and grabbed the pie tray. It was a pretty small size, but she knew that it was the right size. The man who had requested it from her wanted it to be a hand held, or a mini apple pie. She placed the tray down and grabbed one of the folds, folding it away from the inside. She would do that three more times before half of the crust was folded over the edge of the pan. Obviously she needed that to be the top of the pie. She took the bowl with the apples in it and began panning it out, making sure that it layered out nicely so that the top would be as flat as the apples would allow it to be upon cooking. When she had finished putting everything into the pan, she folded over the crust, putting the four edges together quite nicely, then she went to the oven, that she had forgot to pre heat, and turned it on. She set the pie back down on the table and waited, and waited, and then waited some more. After a few minutes, the oven was at the perfect temperature and she would place the pie in.
She set a timer and then sat, watching the pie, always wanting to keep a close eye on it as she normally did. Sitting there, she began to think of her adventures so far in the realm of Elder Tale. She had enjoyed meeting the people she had met so far. They all seemed nice and a bunch of them had even become friends with her. Then her mind twisted and she began to think about relationships and wondered if maybe she would find someone here too, that she could get to know. Maybe she would meet them in real life and they would be an actually couple. She shook her head. "Yeah, keep dreaming Ame." She sighed and put her elbow on the table, propping her head up on it. She couldn't even find a nice boy to be her boyfriend in the real life, why would anyone want to be in a game? It made her feel slightly depressed as she continued to think about it. She shook her head again, wanting her thoughts to get off of the subject, but for some reason, they stayed. She had met someone that she thought was nice, and handsome too, but she doubted that he liked her. For all she knew, he already had someone he liked. She sighed again, depressed at the thought and took her elbow off of the table. "Okay, change the conversation already!" She put her hand to her forehead and hit it lightly against it a few times. "Come on Ame, get your head in the game." She stopped and shook her head for the last time, just as the timer went off.
She widened her eyes as she pulled the pie out of the oven, having put oven mitts on beforehand. She tilted her head at it to the right, and then the left. For some reason, a shape had baked onto the top. She raised her brow and looked at it more. "Is that? It is!" She shook her head and began to laugh. She had met a dwarf by the name of Tobin recently. He had taken her on an adventure to teach her animal taming, and there he was, embedded on the top of the pie. She shook her head and let out another laugh. "How the hell did that happen?!" She shrugged her shoulders, knowing that she couldn't fix it, and looking out of the window, she saw darkness. She definitely didn't have time to make another. She sighed and placed the pie on the table, staring at it more before she began to clean her station up. "This will have to do.." She looked at it one more time with a smile, still confused at the occurrence.
She placed the item in her inventory as it was now ready to ship off to it's recipient and placed the apron on it's hangar. She left the kitchen and met the woman who allowed her usage and bowed, once again giving her thanks. The woman, like the last time, invited her back whenever she needed and Ame left with a smile on her face. She felt as though she needed to meet Tobin again, to tell him of her trance happenings with the pie. She then wondered if it would have any strange status affects. "I hope I don't get in trouble for this." She said aloud, wondering if she should find and tell the man who had made the request. But then again, he'd know once he saw the pie anyways. She hung her head again and laughed, putting her hand on her forehead. "I wonder what will happen next?"
