Do you believe in ghosts? As he lay there, listening to the world around him as he let his mind relax as it pulled together his past, Saber began to hear the quiet sobbing of the woman who had knelt down beside him. The man grimaced beneath his mask and kept his eyes closed, forcing himself to endure the unjoyful noise. He had never cried about being the way he was, so why was she? Was it because she was remembering something herself? Or was it because she felt bad for him? Saber hoped she didn’t, as he didn’t. Saber was Saber, there was no changing that. For him, it was just the way things were. Loitering in the fields of his memories would be a waste of time, so he simply took in everything the world threw at him, tossed it onto the pile on his back, and marched on because marching on was all he could do. There was no time to stop, no time to rest, no time to think. All he could do was take another step.
For a moment, Saber considered opening his eyes, but just as he did he noticed a lack of light on the other side of his eyelids. He considered looking to see what it was, but he figured a bunch of clouds were just rolling by. That is, until he felt something tender and soft press against the top of his head. The Assassin’s lips drew tight beneath his scarf as he felt a warmth pour into his skin, focused on that impact point. Just as quickly as the feeling appeared, it vanished, and the clouds blocking the light moved out of the way. Next, he felt a pair of soft hands slid under his head. His body was lifted, and then lowered back down onto something soft and warm, his head sinking into the object very comfortably. Saber let out a sigh and slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurry, as fatigue was just about to snatch him away from the world around him. Though, due to this pair of events occurring, he wasn’t exactly comfortable with that.
Yet he probably should have fallen asleep, as he wasn’t comfortable with the current scene either. The woman whom he had left to her own devices was now pretty much right up against his head. No, she was up against his head as his head was now on her legs. Saber raised an eyebrow and stared at the blonde, watching as she leaned back and tilted her eyes upwards. He remain silent as he lay there, staring at the unaware woman as she herself was quiet. Part of him wanted to question her, or rather interrogate her, and ask why she was being so nice to him. He wanted to know why she was following him and why she was so determined to learn about him. Was she truly that curious? If she was, then Saber probably should have cut their meeting short long ago. However he would not blame her. Saber had snapped at her and they had a small skirmish in the forest that was now in the distance. If she was following him to find out why he had done that, then he wished she had asked. If she did, then he would have been able to at least know her mindset. The silent look on her face, however, was a much harder code to crack, especially since he was staring at a woman.
The man held back a sigh, keeping his breathing calm and light, and closed his eyes once the woman began to look back down from the skies. Hiding him being awake again, Saber feigned sleeping and let his mind cradle his thoughts again. It wasn’t a smart move, as he was beginning to fall asleep again. His chest movements became heavier and his breathing slowly deepened. His eyelids were at the points of weighing several tons and Saber started to lose feeling in his extrmedies. If he waited any longer, he was probably going to actually pass out. Though, he forced himself to wait. He kept his eyes closed and lingered in that strange limbo feeling for another thirty seconds or so. With every second passing, he felt his soul start to drift further from his body. The game of tug-of-war he was playing, he was losing, and he was losing fast. But, just before that last pull, Saber yanked on the rope and forced his eyes open. He narrowed them slightly on the woman who had turned herself into his pillow and reached up with his left hand. Swiftly, but gently, he grasped onto her closest arm, squeezing her bicep lightly to get her attention.
“Oi… May I ask what you’re doing?” As he asked, Saber prepared himself to jerk upright should she jump or do anything sudden. Should she do so, she risked kneeing him in the back of his head or outright punching him in the face out of fright. That… That would not be fun. Saber had been beat up enough for one day and honestly just wanted to sleep. However, the fact that this woman was so keen on being near him was bugging him. Sleep would have been preferred, but figuring out this woman’s intentions would be much more beneficial for his own mindset. If she was after his past, he would either instruct her to leave or just leave on his own. If she had questions about the game, then he would gladly answer them. However, if she was after anything else, then he would have to figure out why.

Ame felt her chest rise and then lower itself again. She breathed deeply, now feeling a little tired herself. The day had turned out to be a little more than she could handle, but there was no time to sleep, not now anyways. She had given Saber her word that she would watch over him while he slept and she was never one to back down or break a promise that she had given to anyone, even if it was someone who had stabbed her, multiple times and once in the back, literally. She pursed her lips, holding back a giggle that was trying to protrude her face. She shook her head lightly, not willing to let it escape. She didn't want to make any movements that would wake the, seemingly, sleeping assassin. She kept her gaze locked on the boar's and thought about her time with him. It had literally only been half a day since they met, and the majority of that they had spent fighting each other. She didn't understand why she felt so strongly connected to him, as any sane person probably would have backed away from him and let the whole thing pass, but she continued to fight. She couldn't understand what willed her to go on and chase after him, especially since she was already seeing someone. Did this make her some kind of hoe, having a potential boyfriend, but wanting to be close to someone else? And this closeness, what exactly was it? She had never been in love, so she wondered if the feeling was love, or did she just want to be by him because she didn't want him to be lonely? Could they even be friends? He didn't even want her around and she knew that, but she also knew that she wanted to be around.
'I'm being greedy..' She wanted to let out a sigh, but held it back. She was being greedy, a trait that she had never had before, though she supposed all humans were greedy in some ways, even her. It wasn't fair for her to think she hadn't been greedy before, because she had, she just had other thoughts on greed, usually making it the worst way possible, but deep down, she knew greed was wanting the family she never had, and when she got it, she was greedy for wanting to know her true parents and what they were like. She was greedy for wanting more money to do more things and she was greedy for wanting him.. uh, wanting to be around him? 'You just thought about wanting him?!' Her eyes widened towards the boars and she began to mentally freak out. 'No, I meant wanting to be around him!' Her mind fought back. 'I heard you loud and clear and what I heard you say was that you are greedy for wanting him!' Oh god, this wasn't good. She had thought it and now her mind would never let her live it down. Her breathing fell heavy and she found her gaze shifting down, but what she found, wasn't a sleeping Saber. She felt his grip on her arm and as she met his gaze, she heard him speak. 'What are you doing, you naughty girl?!' She opened her mouth and eyes wide in shock. "I- uh- well I..." She closed her mouth and put her head to the sky. "I told you that you could use me as a pillow, so, that's what I'm doing.. being your pillow.." She really hoped that he accepted this answer, but she felt as though he wasn't talking about that. 'You cried and kissed him on the forehead when you thought he was sleeping, Ame.. You perv..' Her eyes widened at the sky. 'Oh shit.. I almost forgot about that..'
She let out a long sigh and looked down at him. "But I suppose you aren't talking about that, are you?" She watched him, closely, her eyes tracing his face, his chin, his jaws, his nose, his mouth.. 'Oh god, Ame, come off of it!' She met his eyes once more, staring at them for a moment, but then looked away. What the hell was wrong with her?! She literally had her ideal man. Tall, muscular, gorgeous, natural born leader, super intelligent, and yet, she found herself staring down at the lone assassin. She wondered why she was so intrigued by him, what made her want to look at him more, what made her want to be around him? 'Why Ame?! Whhyyy????' She shook her head and let out a sigh. "If you're wondering why I want to be around you, I have no real answer to give. I've been searching my head for the answer and all I can come up with is that I just do. I just want to be around you.. Is that so bad?" She let out another long sigh, almost knowing his answer already. She looked back up to the sky, not wanting to see his reaction. He was going to leave her there, once he heard her say that and she knew, but she didn't want him to. She wanted him to stay, but in all truth, if he did say, it would surprise her. But who could really say for sure what he would do. It was his decision, something she would have to wait to hear.

Do you believe in ghosts? The instant the woman’s eyes locked with his, Saber’s face turned sour. He had warned her to be careful with him, but it seemed that such a meager statement was not enough. She had dared to encroach on his personal space and had not only disturbed him but had gone so far as to physically touch him and move him. What wasn’t helping her was that, in his mind, he had no doubt that she had done it more than once. He was considering her motives for coming close to him and honestly was curious as to why she was still here, but as she looked at him, staring with those wide eyes, it was as if she never wanted him to know. It was almost like she was trying to slip a secret under the table; a potential for blackmail. Saber would have none of that. If necessary, he would grab the xiphos blade that he had kept beside him and end the battle he had decided not to finish earlier out of the “kindness” of his heart, which wasn’t really kindness. The man could not bring himself to end a woman’s life so easily… but this… blackmail… gave him thousands of reasons.
However, the flustered face and stuttering words made Saber think twice about reaching to his side. Instead, the man listened to her excuse and sighed. His grip on her arm loosened and the Assassin let himself rest again, dropping his arm back down to his chest. Deep down, Saber didn’t believe her, as he was reminded of all the times he had been lied to and stabbed in the back. To be told that she was letting him use her as a pillow was just too simple an answer, and Saber didn’t like that. There was no proof behind her claim. The claim that her allowing Saber to rest on her legs because she had said he could was the only reason she was letting him. For all he knew, it could have been a guise just to get closer to him. If that was true, then maybe he should grab the sword beside him. Rather than end her life, however, he probably should just leave. Doing so would solve the problem of the woman being close to him, end any further attempts, and it would appease his internal moral spirits.
Though, the man was too tired to leave. He simply diverted his attention from the blonde and forced himself to look towards the sky, which turned out to be… difficult as this woman was a freaking woman and his vision was... partially blocked by her feminine features. As a man, ignoring such things was almost futile, and Saber found himself struggling a little when it came to looking straight towards the sky, as his eyes tended to drift a little to the left. He didn’t want to say it to the woman, but aside from his mother; this was the longest amount of time he had ever been so close to a person of the opposite gender. Every other encounter was kept at arms-length, and if it was a closer encounter; he handled it swiftly and ended it within seconds. Saber did so purposefully because he really didn’t know how to react. He didn’t like being so close to females because, well, it made him uncomfortable. He had zero experience with women, and this game was thrusting it into his face every time he turned a corner. He could probably count the amount of male adventurers he had met with his fingers. Women, on the other hand, would have taken three or four hands. The absurd amount of female players in the area was fairly annoying for Saber. Not that he minded it, as he didn’t, but it was just difficult for him.
Interactions with females in the real world for Saber were always very short and curt because of his lifestyle, heritage, and because of the way he lived as a child. As said child, Saber talked with a handful of women on a consistent basis: his mother, his sisters, his teacher, and the shopkeeper’s wife in the little town he lived by. Sure, he talked to his classmates and interacted with them, but that never become more than a standard conversation; “hello”, “good morning/good afternoon”, “how are you?”, “Oh, that’s good. I hope you have a good day!”, “bye!”. Toss in the occasional expansion dialogue with some feelings and that was Saber’s way of talking with someone. Never too personal, never too distant, and he kept a good balance of both sides as to keep people from becoming too close to him. Yet, this game was forcing him to elaborate more. He was finding himself in situations where not only did he have to communicate with a female, but he would have to fight beside her. That raised multiple flags in Saber’s mind and he was having issues with it… Now that his head was in Kitty’s lap, he honestly had no idea what to do. It was probably because of how cushiony her legs were… or because of her bust size because sweet jesus…
Anyway, Saber found himself a little torn. He was curious about the woman’s motives, but he honestly didn’t care. He just wanted to sleep and if she was willing to let him sleep on her, then that was cool with him. The Assassin had recently been sleeping in his underground Library more than the Inn he tended to visit, which was actually quite uncomfortable after a while. The floors were composed of aged wooden planks, but the table he fell asleep at most of the time was solid stone, and that really hurt a person’s neck after a while. Kitty’s thighs weren’t as stiff. Instead, they were warm, soft, and actually cradled his head in a way that almost made him feel like he was on a cloud. He almost wanted to smile and just sleep, but he couldn’t do that. That would mean he lost, and he hated losing. Instead, he kept his eyes open and attempted to focus on the sky… but something still lingered in his mind, and it bothered him. Though, as Kitty shook her head and sighed, Saber turned his attention toward her.
Oh, now she wanted to enlighten him. As if he wasn’t already dying to know why she was around, as he in fact was, and he was doing so quite literally seeing as every second he forced himself to stay awake was probably causing havoc with his body. The man had been awake for far longer than he should have, had been fighting for an absurd amount of that time, and had even nearly had a mental breakdown. This day was long, tiring, and downright just bad. Every second he spent now would have to be used accordingly, however Kitty was making that difficult. She was staying with Saber for a reason even she didn’t know, and it made Saber close his eyes. Behind the closed lids, he hid away his own frustration with her answer. She was toying with him it seemed, or from what he could tell she was just wasting his time. Though, he dealt with it. These thighs were priceless.
“It is bad only because I am not someone you should associate with. I have a reputation because of the person I am, and just being around me could get you targeted by many people who don’t want me alive.” As he spoke, Saber kept his eyes closed and let his body relax. He thought of the people he had killed, of the parties he had eradicated, and of the monsters he had “stolen” from a few folks even though they were not even in the area during the monster’s execution. He could also think of a few player killers whom had made the poor decision of crossing Saber. All of those people probably had a grudge against him, and getting someone else involved probably would not be a good time. It would also be a waste of time, as Saber didn’t like to deal with that crap.
“If you’re seen with me often, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a kidnapping order put out on your head or a hit called in to have you killed. Suffice to say, I know a lot of people who want me to suffer more than I am because of a few things I have done.” The Assassin adjusted his head, pushing his nose up against the cloth over his face, nudging it slightly to make it slide back up his nose. After the slight movement, Saber reopened his eyes and looked up towards Kitty.
“Put it this way… if you had someone close to you in this game, maybe someone you cared about or even just a friend; would you want them to be tortured because of your own mistakes?” He let his hard stare soften and the Assassin rolled away from the woman, but kept his head on her pillowy thighs. He tightened his lips and clenched his teeth for a moment as he thought of the idea of someone being hurt because of him, and because someone else hated him… Saber would never let that happen and if it did, not even the threat of going to hell would hold him back, and that situation was something that he never wanted to cross paths with.
“I came across a group of players who would snatch you up in a heartbeat and perform vile actions simply because you know me… I would never be able to live with myself if something like that were to happen.” The Assassin closed his eyes as he considered the thought of any one of his female acquaintances being nabbed, and just that thought made him uneasy. This world was a game, but Saber knew the capabilities of his fellow man, and they made him sick.

Ame knew he was only here becasue she had forced herself into his life, forced herself to say. What more could she do? It was like that saying, "the heart wants what the heart wants," or something like that. Well, it was true.. Her head tried to force her away from him. Telling her the things she already knew were true, so really, it had to be her heart, the one she was listening to, but why, why did she want to be close to him? The answer was there, but it was buried deep in her brain and because of the battle going on within it, she couldn't force the answer out. She wished she could, but it wouldn't come, but then again.. 'Are you really trying to figure this out, Ame? Will you like the answer when you do? YOU'RE CHASING A GOD DAMNED GHOST AND YOU ARE OKAY WITH THIS?!?!!?' Her subconscious, once again forced itself in, trying to make her realize that she would be more lonely if she took this road. The word, ghost, rang in her mind, making her look down at him. He wasn't a ghost, maybe his past and even some of his present led him to be as one, but he wasn't. He was a person. He wasn't cold, he was defensive. 'Who are you trying to convince, Ame? He's defensive? What the hell does that even mean? We are defensive, but we are also loving, and compassionate. We hide our self as to not get hurt, but this man, he does it-' She felt her teeth clench. She wanted to cry out to her own mind but she remained silent, keeping the battle withing. 'Shut up.. just.. shut the hell up! I get it! You don't want me to be with him.. You hate it.. But I've made my decision, so can't you just be there for me? Why am I internally fighting myself right now? What does it matter what road I choose to take? What does it matter that I want to fight for him?' Okay.. so, her mind shut itself off at that point, and she let out a soft sigh. Would it be a constant battle with herself like this always? She felt as though she needed an outsiders opinion, someone who would tell it to her straight because clearly, there were two of her, fighting against each other, and she couldn't stand it. The feeling made her feel sick and she wished she could curl up into a ball and hide under a rock for the remaining time that she was here. Of course she wouldn't, but she probably would have been better off.
As Ame heard him speak, she just listened, keeping her eyes on the clouds above. 'Is.. he.. trying to protect you?' Her subconscious twittered back in to her thoughts, thinking something that, for once, she questioned herself. Maybe he did care about her, if only a little, but that thought wouldn't linger. She couldn't let it sit in her head, especially because he had begun to speak again, but mainly because she didn't want to become disheartened. If she thought that he cared for her, even if he wanted to stay away from her to protect her, she didn't think she could stay away. Her mind was locked on him, so much so that when any thoughts came into her mind, her heart raced and pounded against her chest. What the hell was she going to do now.. As he continued to speak, however, she took her eyes from the clouds, and looked down at him. He covered his with his scarf and looked up at her. She felt her lips part as she stared at him, her head pacing in circles, trying to understand while her heart just wanted to tell him to shut up and let her stay. She definitely wouldn't say that, as he would probably lop her head off and parade around town with it implanted on a stick.. She let out a strange, awkward, scared, frightening smile.. Why the hell was she thinking that way? Who the hell was she? She thought she was this sweet Cleric, who loved to help people and who wanted to be with someone who could make her laugh and smile, and would dance with her and be merry, yet, as she looked at him, an image of him carrying her head around on a stick popped into her mind. Was she, like, sadistic or something. The worst part was, she had began to like him, even before they fought, before he stabbed her.. She thought that maybe she enjoyed pain? Nope, that wasn't it.. She hated pain, and her ribs and her back tensed as she thought about the daggers entering her body. She had hated that pressure, that searing pain.. Was she the kind of person who liked to be hurt, not physically, but mentally. Nope, she didn't like that either.. Did she like the fact that he was a lone ranger, did she want to change him? No, neither of those.. she didn't want him to be lonely, but she liked him the way he was. She breathed heavy as she continued to stare. She poofed all of her thoughts away from her mind and told herself to stop with the quizzical Q and A she was putting herself through.
With his next set of words, she sighed and gave her head a shake. No, she would never want to put anyone in danger, but then again, she would never make the mistakes that he had made. She wanted to stop him, tell him that he could stop making those mistakes, they could move away from this place and start new in another part of the world.. 'You want to run away with him?! Guys like this never change! He'll keep making the same mistakes for the rest of his life!' It took her all that she had not to take her fist, that had formed on the ground and punch herself in the head. Who was this other person in her head? And why did they insist on making her time here miserable with those kinds of thoughts. 'Can't you let me live in my own damn fantasy world?! Why are you always butting in?! Go. Away!' Well, that wouldn't happen, she was a persistent person and it was her subconscious she was dealing with. Being one in the same, they were both stubborn, causing the feud to continue, though she ignored it as he rolled his face away from hers, still laying on her thighs. With his last words, she reach out her hand towards his head, but she stopped before she reached it. She took it away and looked down at the ground beside her. His words played through her head, over and over. 'I would never be able to live with myself if something like that were to happen.' She let out a soft sigh and nodded her head. She really did think he was a sweet guy, especially with his last words, he just came across as an asshole.. She breathed in and began to speak. "You know, you come across as a real piece of shit, but, I think you're actually really sweet, in a strange, dark way.." She let out a small giggle and pushed her head from the ground to the sky. "Now, please, sleep Saber. Let yourself rest." She smiled up at the sky as her heart pounded at her chest. 'Ame..' She shook her head lightly. 'Not now..

Do you believe in ghosts? As the silence fell on his ears, Saber’s face curled into a frown. His eyes opened as his mind was filled with the vision of one of the people he knew being kidnapped. He imagined the door being kicked in, the woman screaming loudly as she was grabbed by several men, and the thought of no one coming to help her as she was carried off into some distant land. Saber could only imagine the fear the woman would feel, the hatred for him that would grow, and the pain that she would probably be put through. It made his stomach twist and his throat became tense, as if a clot had lodged itself within his windpipe. As he lay there, silent, he could only wonder to himself… what if he had followed a different life…?
What if… What if Saber just let all of his hate go? What if he let the world support itself and let all of his problems wash away? Would anything be different? What if he let himself smile, let himself enjoy the game without the idea that he was a protector or anything… What if he just let all of it go? Would anything change? Would he still be the same? Could he look at himself in the mirror again? Because right now he couldn’t. Right now, every time he looked at himself, Saber could only see a pained and tormented soul, hurt by all of the wrongs he had done. He had killed people in cold blood and slayed his fellow man, even if it was in a game he still did it. Did that make him wrong? Even if… Even if he had drawn his blade for the sake of protecting someone, did that justify his murders? Saber didn’t think so, because no matter what; he still sliced that player’s chest open, he still beheaded that other teenager, and he still tore off the arm of that one man… and he had done much more.
Though, just as his mind was sending itself into a spiral, he heard the voice of the woman whom was letting him user her lap speak. Her voice was a little harsher than before, but he could tell that she meant nothing by it. Yet, her words… They sank within his chest and stabbed into his core because she was right. Saber wasn’t a kind person, he wasn’t someone who he thought of as “friendly” or “approachable” in any sense of the word. No, he was the type of person the normal minded soul would avoid, the outcast, and he was someone who would usually be branded as a deviant, and it hurt him inside to know that. Not even Kitty’s compliment of calling him sweet could help, as Saber was already spiraling down far too fast to be stopped. With that in mind, the Assassin closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. Then, he lifted his head off Kitty’s lap and sat upright. He looked down at the ground and remained silent for a moment, letting it all just sink in. His shoulders sagged and his head hung low as he sat there. He rested his arms in his lap for a moment and just stared at his hands, his eyes painting them with blood. They were soaked with it.
“No… You’re wrong.” Saber’s eyes closed again for a second, and then they reopened just to drift towards his blade. He reached out to it and wrapped his fingers around its sheath. As he pulled it close, the Assassin forced himself to stand, even as fatigue and weariness wrapped itself around his body. Sleep tugged on his eyelids and his body showed no signs of being able to move much longer, yet he forced himself up. With the sword in hand, Saber made his body listen and stood upright.
“There’s nothing sweet about me.” With that, Saber placed his blade back onto his hip and looked over his shoulder towards the woman who was there. His eyelids dragged with every blink, but he allowed himself to look at her for a few more long moments before his lips pulled into a tight line beneath his mask. She was kind, very kind… but Saber was not. This woman was better than him, and he had no right to be in her presence or anyone else’s for that matter.
“I must go. I have something to take care of. It was a pleasure meeting you, Kitty.” As he spoke her name, the Assassin tore his eyes away and forced himself to step forward. He didn’t pay any mind to the flowers this time around and simply stepped through them, marching almost as he stubbornly walked towards the forest. Reaching up, the Assassin pulled his hood over his head and then pulled his cloak around his body, allowing himself to hide his body underneath the black cloth. Not only did he hide himself from being seen, but he pulled all of his emotions in with his cloak. It was like a barrier, and it protected him from everything in the world which wanted to hurt him. Yet, what was truly going to hurt him was what was inside him already.
Still, he pulled that clock in tight and his hood down low. The Assassin lowered his head and let himself walk away from the Blonde, making himself stride into the forest. There, he marched on, pushing through several bushes and passed dozens of trees. Every step began to become a blur, and time faded from his mind. Eventually, Saber forgot where he was going, and then forgot where he was… and then it all collapsed in on him. His eyelids could no longer resist; he collapsed onto the grassy floor.

She just couldn't keep her mouth shut. She constantly had to speak what was on her mind, well, most of it anyways. The things on her mind, however, were the things that would chase him away and she knew that, yet she just couldn't keep quiet. She didn't want to not tell him what she thought of him, but she knew the moment that she did, that was it and really, it was. As soon as she spoke, she knew she shouldn't have said it. She stared at the sky but looked at him as he sat up and clenched his hand to his swords hilt. She parted her lips to speak, but he was too quick to the draw. There it was again. 'You're wrong..' She sighed and lowered her head. She couldn't win, not this battle. How could she have even hoped to? She couldn't win in the actually fight so how could she hope to win any ways else? She shook her head, not at him but at herself. She knew her mind was right. She was casing something she shouldn't be. She should have just packed up at went back to the guild where Balore would greet her with a happy smile. She put her hands to her lips and brought her legs up to her chest. With his next set of words, her arms wrapped themselves around her legs and she looked up to him. She wouldn't argue, not this time, even though she thought that he was the one who was wrong.
As he said his goodbye, she just sat there, staring up at him. Upon hearing her name, she watched his back as he walked away and then put her forehead to her knees. She felt the tears come again, streaming her face, running down her legs, building up faster with each thought. She thought about the beginning, when she first came. She partied with a few adventures, one being apart of her guild. She liked him, he was really nice and he had taught her a lot about being a cleric, as he was one as well. Then she had met her greatest friend, Lavinia, who she took under her wing and treated as though she did her younger sister. She loved her with all of her heart. Upon that meeting, she met Balore. It was pretty much an instant attraction and she thought that he was handsome and powerful. He was a natural born leader and had lead their group to many great victories. She thought about how he had asked her out on a date and how excited she had been when she had said yes. She had lost her first kiss to him as the waves had pushed them together. The thought made her blush, even now. He really was a great guy. Then she had met her crazy dwarf mentor Tobin. He was crazy in a good way, even taught her animal training, and she had acquired two great pets from him. She couldn't remember one adventurer that had treated her badly, or had wanted to hurt her in anyway. She knew that it would come in due time, but, she never expected it to be like this.
She knew Saber didn't actually want to hurt her, she had pushed him, it had been her own fault. He had tried so hard to make her leave, to convince her that he wasn't a good person, to scare her away. Why didn't she want to be scared away? Perhaps she was too kind, but she preferred to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, give them a chance to show her their true color and though he had tried hard not to, he had let it out in small amounts. She had felt a connection to him, one too strong for her to break, too strong for her to want to break. She didn't understand it, but her heart was pushing her towards him. Her mind popped in with thoughts of Balore for a few moments, but it wasn't even love that had come, she had seen his glorious face, sad, upset, filled with anger. Was that her future? She would hurt that man because she had fallen for a lone assassin. She sighed and put her head up, letting herself fall back until her back hit the ground hard. What was she going to do? They were in the same guild, supposed to be a team, she had given him her first kiss and yet, with only one meeting, she wanted to take it back. She wanted Saber to have it. She wanted him to have her, but he wouldn't accept her, would he? She was hoping for so much, too much and it was going to break her. She sighed again and wiped the tears from her face. She stood, slowly pushing herself off of the ground and began to walk towards the gates of London. She didn't want to call to home, as that would take her to the guild, she just wanted to be alone. She didn't want to see her best friend, or the man she had been seeing lately, she didn't want to be with her guild mates or even talk to any Lander's. She wanted to be completely alone, so she would walk, and continue to walk. She wished she had a cape to hide under, cause life would have been a lot easier if she had had one too.
