He swirled the mixture around for a while longer, since he could not see when the [Mana Fragment] completely dissolved. For some reason, he was reminded of a Chemistry practical session, where the teacher would often tell him to be extremely careful with the chemicals used and to only swirl once or twice so as to ensure that the test was fair, blah blah blah... To be honest, he had not really expected that he would be using that experience here. He had no intention of being a Chemist, though.
Once he deemed the mixture ready for the next phase, he moved on to phase two. He picked up the sliced and diced herbs he had already prepared beforehand, then fed it slowly into the flask containing the potion. As he did so, he saw no reaction from the mixture itself, the solution in question retaining its relatively light blue hue. This was, according to the recipe, normal. It would take several hours to work its thing, the rate determining step of the reaction apparently too slow for his preferences.
But there was nothing he could do for the moment. Ahh, should he consider this thing done and over with? Well, since he could leave the potion to prepare itself, in a sense, he supposed he had finally finished it. What should he do while waiting? Head to the library to review the lore? Explore the market for bargains? Or... just take it easy? He liked that last option. And thus he did just that, and with that ending, the long and arduous crafting session had finally come to an end.
For now.
