Three areas down… her original guess was that there was somewhere between five and six rooms to this place. “Half done…? Maybe…?” She again heard the chime of a distant bell. It was harder to hear now, but it sounded like it was 9 at night. Hopefully she would be free of this soon and could return to town to fill her tummy with warm deliciousness. Artemisia took in the view of the third hall and immediately noticed a plaque in view. Apparently the master of this manor had a thing for fancy signs…
She read the sign quietly to herself. It stated in clear, golden letters: Five people came to a party in the Purple Mirror Mansion. Little did they know that the party would be crashed by a number of field bosses. Can you identify who met which field boss, as well as the room of the encounter and the weapon they used to fend the monster off? It reminded her a bit of an old board game she had heard of before her time as Artemisia. If she recalled it properly, the name of the game was Clue.
Well, she knew what she needed to find out, now she had to figure out how to solve it… Unsurprisingly, the Mini Jack had joined her in this room too. She had this vague feeling that they were watching and reporting on her progress but that would be too crazy. Well, even if that was the case, she would simply show she was clever enough to pass these trials. Given the fact that the plaque mentioned rooms, she assumed that meant she would have to venture beyond the main hall here into the open doorways she could see ahead.
With the floating Mini Jack in toe, Artemisia made her way to the closest door and tossed open the door. This was taking her way too long! Whatever was behind this door didn't matter because she was getting that clue and getting out of here.

In the middle of the room there was yet another plaque. The room was darker than the other rooms. In the corners, she could see the faint glow of what she assumed was one of the pumpkin monsters she had been seeing all throughout the mansion. Thus far, they had not attacked her and things would go much quicker if it stayed that way. Determined, she strode over to the plaque and quickly read it. She repeated it aloud to herself three times and twice silently. It was a simple, straight forward line but she knew the clues coming later would serve to only make this one make less and less sense. She would need to keep this all straight in her head. If only she had a piece of paper to write it down on.
Careful not to make direct eye contact with any of the creatures lurking in the corners, she quickly exited the room. “One down…” She now had a clue about someone or thing named Toki. He had fought with a knife but not against the plant boss. Wasting not a minute, Artemisia stomped off to the next room. Her patience with these riddles was starting to grow thin. The second room was similar to the first. She was fairly certain she would not be attacked but she continued to hold her staff tightly, in case she offended something. The clue this time was about a centipede which quite rudely knocked over everything in the dining room. It was such a strange clue that she wouldn’t have any trouble remembering this one.
One of the Mini Jack swooped down, circling around her, as if trying to brighten her mood. It was true she was getting more and more agitated the longer this went on… She smiled at the little orange monster and walked back towards the hall. It was hard to continue to be curious about this when her gut was increasingly telling her things were heading in the worst direction possible. Shaking off her concern, Artemisia continued on to the third clue. Her green eyes absorbed the words on the plaque and she couldn't help but feel a bit confused. Now there was a library with a crocodile in it…? She scratched her head and dashed from the room, feeling uncomfortable with so many unfriendly eyes on her.

If she simply continued to enter the rooms and read the plaques, even these weird clues were sure to come together eventually. Probably… “No, they definitely will!” Artemisia said to herself, trying to boost her own confidence. “Although I guess I do wish I hadn't come here alone…” She knew few people in this world but surely if she had asked, one of them would have joined her. Was is possible they were here somewhere, wandering through a different part of the mansion than her? She couldn’t be the only one here… those rumors had piqued the interest of several dozen. Maybe she would eventually run into someone.
Clues four and five continued to only deepen her confusion. She could see the doorways to two more rooms ahead, meaning things better start coming together fast. Artemisia repeated the five clues she had already had over and over in her head, keeping them fresh in her mind. She blonde Sorceress quickly jumped into the sixth room, read the plaque, and hurried back out. The feeling of animosity from the on looking monsters seemed to only grow the longer she hung around in the room.
One more to go! She felt confident she could solve this with the last clue. She turned the corner and walked into the seventh and final room. The Mini Jacks danced ahead of her, circling around the final plaque. “Last one, last one~” She grinned widely to herself, feeling a bit more perky than she had even a moment ago. She trotted over to the plaque and read it over quickly. She nodded as she committed the final bit of information to memory before quickly scurrying back out into the hall.
At the end of the long hall, she saw a door. Assuming this hall would be the same as pretty much all the others, she walked up to it, yanked the handle, and activated the pop up screen which allowed her to declare her answers and unlock the door. She ran the clues through her mind once more, rearranging them and connecting the important bits before taking a deep breath and listing off each one.
A quiet click reached her ears, confirming she was correct. The door to the next hall was open to her and she took the invitation without hesitation, moving on to the next area.
