[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Morgan [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Siegfried Wulfram [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 19 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Male Robin, Fire Emblem: Awakening [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Blood [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Morgan modeled his in-game avatar to closely resemble his true person in the outside world, and as such, they share many qualities. First off, his face is thin and ascetic, with eyes that seem like they're always focused on something, even during the rare times that he seems to become distant and thoughtful. While usually set in a passive, calm expression, he tends to nods his head in a manner which makes his dark irises glint with a light. Most of the time, no one knows just what that light means. His pale-skinned body is free of blemishes, standing at a height of 175 centimeters, average in size. He usually stands in a strong, straight stance, a habit from many days of giving speeches at a podium. His build is not too lean, nor too thin, simply healthy. His hair is one of his main defining qualities. Windswept and feathered, it gives a carefree impression while remaining on the verge of messiness. Though a somewhat common look, the fact that it is a pure white still makes it stand out. An abnormality within a normality, the rare chance of the color is something he felt needed to be represented by his character even in the game. As a Half-Alv, he has a mark on his tongue, resembling a set of six eyes, pierced through by lines and intertwined. It is quite a curious thing, as are all Half-Alv marks. He, on happenstance, once saw a random cloak in a shop and immediately felt the need to buy it. After all, the weather that day looked dark and rainy, so it just made sense, didn't it? After that day, he never felt like going without one. He is always wearing a cloak, and should he not, you should be very afraid. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Morgan can be said to be a very complex character. His mindset is very different from most people, yet also human, quite human, in fact. He is enthralled by mystery and impossibility, being more spurred on to complete an impossible task than to complete a menial one. He would say, and this is a direct quote—“I would very much like to destroy the concept of being unable to do something simply because you feel you can’t. Ebr /> For him, doing the impossible is his magnum opus. It’s all he can will himself to do, all he live for. In that sense, it can be called his way to affirm his place in the world, as he has not met anyone thus far who held the same principles as him. At least, to the same extent. For all humans dream, do they not? And dreams, inherently, are impossibilities. Achieving one’s dreams—is that not a human goal? So, would he not be human? Perhaps even too human? He doesn’t know how to explain his views himself. Words are not a proper way to explain how one lives. Just as you move your arms freely, he seeks out situations where no plausibility can occur and makes them plausible. He usually thereafter loses interest, but the journey and adventure to deny those impossibilities was enjoyable enough. Though this all really depends on his mood. At times, he can be as bright and positive as a star, the next moment…believing that the world ought not to even be. He has deep inner issues with nihility and a lack of meaning. It is only through seeking out the end of his goals that he feels he is living, and when those fail, he is sent into despair. He has never asked for any help with it, nor does he want any. It’s an issue he must fix on his own. Though this does not usually interfere with his interactions socially. Even online, to strangers he would never know, he gladly was courteous and did his best to perform well in the few online games he had played before this. He often sacrificed himself to help others achieve their goals, simply because he was patient and knew he could most likely try again for what he wanted sometime later. A helpful, curious, and most certainly courteous fellow, there is nary a man on Earth who’s friendliness with Morgan can be doubtful. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]The life of Siegfried started as an odd one. His father impregnated his mother and left her a few months before, promising to make a return once his enlisting term was over. She was a bit distraught, the stress getting to her in critical stages, and that was probably what made Siegfried what he is today. Coming out with white hair when both parents had hair of color was not a very good sign. Though his mother was as loyal to his father as a nun is to her Lord, Siegfried was born with a pigment deficiency that left him with stark-white hair. His parents often compared it to a bird’s feathers. A few years passed, and in his unconsciousness, he was the normal babe, save for the snowy appearance. By the time he was lucid, his father had returned, though Siegfried had never even noticed him leaving. It wasn’t going to last, though. It was only a temporary leave—a short visit. But it was enough for Siegfried to love his father and recognize him as a figure he wanted to last in his life. As his father left, he had forgotten a gift. It was Yuletide, after all, and though he gave gifts to his wife and son, he still had friends in service he cared for as well. Despite being given many common toys that children would love, the mystery and interest that surrounded this mishap made Siegfried very curious. What was in the box? Nothing more than a simple chess set. But to him, it so much more than that. More than a chess set, it was something of his father’s. And that’s when something clicked in his head. Wars…used strategy, right? And chess was a strategy game. So, maybe, if he worked really, really hard, he could make a strategy that could being his dad back. He wanted to believe in that, so badly. So he practiced. All day, against himself, whenever he had the time. Over and over, he kept on one-upping himself, and eventually he became seven, and heading off to school. Though his time for games was lessened slightly by the work, he still made enough time every day for that game of chess. And then he realized something, after playing all night. He wasn’t improving. In fact, he was moving backwards. He was getting predictable. There were flaws in his stratagem that even his five-year-old self could easily see through. So he knew he had to become better—but how? It was simple. He hadn’t touched technology most of his life, preferring physical books and the like. He didn’t understand what an “internet Ewas, nor did he understand how to make use of it. He would have asked his mom, but she was usually too busy sleeping or something to help him. So he learned by himself. He only asked for help once—to get the password—and he was through. He taught himself to type efficiently, using the small fingers on his tiny hands, and immediately slammed “chess games Einto the Google, and suddenly things moved, and he was in. This wasn’t even his final form. He had yet to even begin, and yet wondrous things were happening. Over the course of a few days, he finally learned how to make an account, and immediately began playing online games of chess with people. Of course, he lost. He lost a bunch of times, really. More than he was before. But that was because he didn’t know about how people thought, before. Playing against yourself was a hard thing to do, but playing against others was a mire of both extremes. If you could tell what the other person was planning, it was a breeze. If you couldn’t, you lost. Simple as that. Over the course of three years of constant chess play, he finally had a respectable ranking on the site—only to have it shut down. Apparently there were issues about mental property or something of the sort. The worst part about it was that he didn’t really mind. Perhaps he valued the experience over the place itself? It was easy to just find another site to play on, but he doubted it would be exactly the same. He knew nothing would ever be the same or last forever, so he had to try enjoy it while he could. If everything was temporary—so was his interest in chess. He was a teenager now, skilled in the strategy and still believing that if he could create a proper strategy for the military, his father—no, a whole war could be stopped. That dream ended where it started. His father was gone. Forever. They get a letter in the mail and had a representative come to meet them. Apparently he had died taking the brunt of the damage for his battalion. Didn’t lessen the empty feeling he had in his chest. But the feeling wasn’t from sadness from a lacking father—it was because he no longer had a reason to really live. Sure, he didn’t have a reason to die, either, but at least he was living for something. The continual progress that he had been achieving halted itself right at that moment. Strategy—he wanted nothing to do with it. Just stop. No more. Never again would he make another move. And that’s how he lived for another two years. Simply repeating the cycle every day; wake up, eat, go to school, come home, eat, remove waste and clean self, do work, sleep, over and over again. He didn’t see any anomalies in that system, so he didn’t try to change anything. Until he met someone he had met a very long time ago, in real life. It was a member of the chess site he used to go to, until it was taken down. They came to him, since they had been in contact due to how close they lived to each other. Of similar age, they only noticed him due to his hair, which had been a staple of “Morgan”—his most commonly used username. He hadn’t worn a jacket to cover his hair that day, so it was a great coincidence. And after that, he once more got into gaming through this friend of his. Though it wasn’t any old chess game, no, it was something wholly new. The concept of MMOs confused Siegfried, but he caught on quickly enough. Moreover, his ability to properly gauge situations made him an ideal party member. He’d tell people how to move, where to go, how to attack—and before he knew it, he was strategizing again. This all passed by in a year. Then he heard of the new game, this massively-loved, Japanese game called Elder Tale. He knew of it faintly, just barely off of some comments on a thread of a forum he frequented. Apparently the system was a 1:2 ratio scale model of the world, meaning it was the most complex system to date. Of course he was interested—who wouldn’t be? He awaited the day of the game’s European arrival. He eagerly started…did he? He couldn’t even remember. The Apocalypse happened. And he forgot everything. He could not remember anything of his past, save for how to speak, how to act, and his own name. What was his name again? He could only remember it by bringing it up in the menu. Morgan; the name rung no bells for him. He would have to find it for himself, then. Find his reasoning for being in this world, find the reason for his name, and find a way out. Most of all, he had to find out, simply…why? [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]175 cm/63 kg/Type O-; all the same as in real life. His in-game appearance is virtually the same as his real life one. He has a thing for androgynity in girls. As the equipment bonuses and stats of the designated ally are not transferred over it generally deals weaker damage but even so, it would result in additional damage being dealt to the target enemy. If copying a summoner it can deal considerable damage. When used, there is a guitar-like SE and a shining effect. The copy attack will be a beat behind the original. [attr="class","skill"]Resonance Beat: Tier I Skill Attack skill | Imbues a tune onto a weapon, causing a shockwave on impact, causing a resonance effect with the enemy's body as a medium. Even after the attack is over the effects of the shockwave remains and if an additional attack is made, it will cause a resonance explosion dealing further damage. As 2 hits are needed, the damage dealt is very high. By the way, bards who use percussion instruments and repeatedly use Resonance Beat are called "Drummers" or "Taiko masters". [attr="class","skill"]Speed Sword Etude: Tier I Skill A lively song that makes one want to rush into battle. This tune causes all nearby party members' attack speeds to rise. [attr="class","skill"]Lullaby of the Mermaid in the Moonlight Tier I Skill Curse song, Special attack skill, Movement hindrance | A support song that puts the target enemy and those around it to sleep. It is set so that the difference in level between the target and caster will affect how long it takes for it to fall asleep so the effect is not instantaneous. And so you might be countered if the target can see through the time it has before the effect occurs and cause this lock "Hit right before effect occurs" then sleep -> (Get hit) Wake up -> Immediate Sleep (Rinse and repeat) a "Sleep lock". When used, an aqua-blue ripple effect will occur and an image of a singing mermaid will appear over the head of the caster. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface. An ensemble of coarsely stitched clothing, the creamy white shirt being rough and thick, and the similar white pants being tough and stiff to wear. The socks are scratchy and don't really fit well. The boots which go over the socks are somewhat thick, but quite unmoving and lack much ability in the area of protection. There is a small skirt of leather to help protect one's hip area and to part the area under the belt. The belt is thick and resembles a girder slightly, with many small fittings of leather made for holding plenty of items. There is a set of leather arm armor to be worn over the hands and forearms, a bit tight and not much of a protect against anything tougher than a low-level pig. In fact, the only part of this leather armor set which could be constituted as "fine" would most certainly be the cloak. The long cloak which reaches one's ankles is made of fine black stitching, over a layer of pliable leather. On the brims on the sleeve-ends, hood, and end of the cloak, there is a gold-colored pattern, giving one the impression of ancient desert culture. On the inside there are many pockets to hold and store possible materials, and the supple leather is quite soft. On the outside and back, there is a very unique and interesting pattern, sewn in a royal purple color. Resembling a set of six eyes and with lines running all across it in a random but symetrical pattern, it gives an air of mystery to whoever wears it.
