[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Ducou [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Dorian du Couteu [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 20 years [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: The Undertaker, KUROSHITSUJI [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Chi [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Ducou, pronounced "Duke", is a sly and possibly dangerous looking fellow. He stands approximately 5 feet and 6 inches from the ground with a lean and athletic build and relatively pale skin. He looks more or less like a human with the exception from the pair of pointy ears sticking out, a racial trait from being an elf. A slightly point nose, soft lips, and a pair of a mischievous icy blue eyes decorates his face. Crowning his head is silver hair that extends down to his lower back with some bangs covering parts of his face. He usually has it tied together in a loose ponytail. He would be rather handsome if it wasn't for the scar he has moving across his face, starting from the mid corner of his right cheek, however it doesn't bother him at all. Ducou fancy himself a bit of a gentleman and therefore likes to dress like one, and the fact that he find elves to be a rather graceful race helps quite a bit as well. He's most often seen wearing coats in dark colors together with knee high boots, the clothes of a fencer some would say. Other than that does he keep his trusts dual swords at his side, one on each hip to be specific. In real life Ducou, Dorian du Couteu being his real name, is a bit of a geek. He and Ducou look a lot alike, but instead of the long silver hair does the real one have short black hair. Body wise they also look alike, but Dorian doesn't have the muscles that the avatar does. Also, the scar isn't there and he wears square glasses. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Sometimes people like to describe others' personalities with a single word. For Ducou, that word would be ”scroundel”. He is often seen as a mischievous young man that almost likes to get into trouble, be it through pure stupidity or curiosity, but somehow that never really bothers him. He cares little about what others think and isn't the best of teammates because of this and that he has a tendency to whatever he want. No need to say that he despises rules and follow the saying that rules are meant to be broken. Another trait of the so called scoundrel is that he likes to mess with people, be it through the means of flirting or pulling someone's pants down. Continuing down the line is his love for gold and loot, which is kinda like the cherry on the top for the scoundrel personality. However, he values knowledge as much as he values treasure! While Ducou is a bit of a douche and has a tendency to end up alone is he capable of being a really good friend, to the selective few anyway. In combat it's like Ducou turns into a completely different person, kinda. Combat is as serious as serious can be to him, but it may be hard to tell for bystanders as he wear the cocky grin he always wear. He's never the one to throw the first punch as he prefer to stay passive and gain information about his opponent before counter attacking, of course making him mad would end with different results. While he enjoy fighting he can still stay level headed and choose the path with the best result. A strategist some would say. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Dorian was born in the so called city of love Paris, France, where he lived together with his mother and father and a pair of younger sisters. As he was the oldest one of the three kids most of the responsibility landed on his shoulders, to take care of the family when his father wasn't around and to inherit the family business. Of course he didn't want to either as he felt that his siblings could take care of themselves and that working in a workshop simply wasn't something he wanted to work with for the rest of his life. You could say that he was the family's black sheep that always ended up in trouble with the authorities and got into fights. However, while being a mischievous prankster was he a loving brother that helped when they were in real need of help. The family wasn't poor by any chance, but they weren't rich either. They were middle-class citizens that didn't face too many problems through the years. That is until Dorian was in a car accident at the young age of 16. Fearing for his life, the parents did everything they could to make him get better and did everything that the doctors taking care of him said. Eventually he woke up from his coma, disoriented like a certain green haired pirate, and everyone was cheering in joy. But when he tried to stand up for the first time in a while, he fell to the floor face first. It wasn't until then that they realized that his legs had stopped working from his knees and down. While he could move them to some degree, he had completely lost his sense of touch in said region. He ended up in a wheelchair and this is when he began to play computer games and take an interest in the world of the internet. Dorian spent most of his time online and became a bit of a shut in, not that the rest of the family blamed him. While he wasn't unhappy with his new lifestyle or anything, he really missed being able to walk and run. This is when he found out about the game genre known as virtual multimass online gaming, where you played a character together with a lot of other people. It became his new social network and he love it. Gaining the ability to walk again was another lovely feature. Online gaming became his life and it's obviously that it's through this that he came to play the game Elder Tale. While he wasn't a beginner when it came to gaming, this was something else and he loved it. He created a character of the Swashbuckler class, completely different from was he was used to as he usually played a support class, a healer or similar. Now he was part of the DPS family instead and while it was different, he liked it. However, he didn't get far into the vast lands until he got stuck there, unable to log out. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Dorian du Couteu... - is paralyzed from his knees in real life. - is ambidextrous. - is nearsighted in real life. - love sandwiches. - dislike uptight and overly serious people. - likes cooking, but seriously fail at it. - is a rather good singer. - speaks fluent English, but with a silly light French accent. |

The user pierces the target in rapid succession, usually amounting to an initial five stabs plus an additional one every 20 levels. Sword Rain Flurry is an adapted version of the Swashbuckler's Dart-Tack Target, only performed with the intention of damaging the target rather than simply diverting its attention. Despite its name, this skill can be performed with any weapon type although thrusting-type weapons often perform most optimally. Each strike deals a moderate amount of damage, but the main downside is that the user is locked into this animation until the move is completed. This skill has a total animation time of 3 seconds. Its cooldown time is 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Blind Bet: Tier I Skill. Attempting to hit a pressure point, the Swashbuckler thrusts the weapon forward as its blade glows a faint blue color. This motion has an animation time of 2 seconds, 1 seconds each strike if dual-wielding. If it makes direct unguarded contact with an opponent, their vision becomes blurry for the next 10 seconds, resulting in an accuracy debuff. The degree of blindness is most effective at the moment of contact, clearing up as the debuff wears off. For single-weapon and throwing weapon users, the debuff is dependent upon a single weapon's hit. A dual weapon user must strike the opponent successfully with both weapons to ensure the maximum effect. Even still, they have two chances at hitting, so stability is sacrificed for consistency. Nevertheless, the cooldown of this technique is also 10 seconds, meaning that an experienced user can sustain the effect as long as they can manage to pierce the opponent's defense each time. [attr="class","skill"]Mirage Dealer: Tier I Skill. Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Transcription: Scribes are known for their ability to copy and examine documents carefully. This allows them to obtain the Adventurer skill [Mythic Script] as a Beginner-level skill without it taking up a skill slot. Their knowledge also allows them to use and read grimoires in the Ancient Text, allowing them to use grimoires without penalties and perform some basic magic attacks depending on their Magic stat. If the character can already use grimoires through racial or class bonuses, grimoire damage increases by 10%. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Rapier: A thin sword with complete emphasis in thrusting. A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
