Heretic - Apprentice - Alchemist ____________________________________________________
The morning sun blooms out as Widow glances out the window of the shop. She started picking up shifts here when Tessia had offered her an opportunity to earn money by being a diligent worker.
Widow possessed a passion for Alchemy, magic and sciene like none other. She had ideas for innovative research and different designs and concepts that were restricted within the realm of her mind while she spent so many years in prison.
It was her only solace that helped her keep her sanity. She would carve out her designs in the sand before engraving them into her mind. She had thousands of days built up to live out her dreams in her mind.
She etched these dreams in the stone of her heart and dedicated her time to them like a truly devoted Alchemist. She was intrigued to find another who had shared her spark of passion, though she learned the woman was from a foreign world.
Even better...
You aren’t bound to the conformity of this world...
Spread your wings and grow...
And discover things the world has yet to know....
She thought silently as she watched Tessia showing off her Mana Liner Shield to the other patrons that visited the shop.
It was Widow’s job to conjure up the base level materials as she worked from the inside. This sped up the process for the more adept Alchemist and shop owner to conjure up the higher grade items.
Though Widow had brilliant ideas and concepts stored within, she had been out of formal practice for quite some time. She still ha to go back over the basics and learn everything over again. She leaned back in her desk and began contemplating on what to do with her time.
She reached out and grabbed the list of materials that Tessia had needed before stroking her chin. She decided she would start by making [Reinforced Wire]. A simple item for the project she desired to work on. She walked over to the counter on the right which housed large crates of items that Tessia had shipped in bulk from other shops. Widow tapped her fingers against one another as her Emerald eyes scrutinized the contents of a crate labeled ‘Filaments’.
Good.
At least the girls organized.
This should make the process fairly simple...
Widow nods as she slides two [Filaments] outside of the box and holds one in each hand, inspecting them and infusing her mana with them to make sure they can get a charge. As they illuminate lightly, Widow smiles in satisfaction and begins to walk over to the table so that she may prepare her work. She patiently sits down and begins to work on both of the filaments, twining them together carefully. She exercises a deep sense of patience as she does so, being careful not to break them. It is a tedious task as she has to use some finesse to get them to stick together just right. Over the course of a few minutes she is able to do so and reclines back in her chair to daydream as she withdraws as [Mana Shard] from the palm of her hand and twirls it around her fingers.

Heretic - Apprentice - Alchemist ____________________________________________________
Widow begins to gaze out at the clouds outside. It had been seven long years since she embraced such a marvel. Something as simple as fresh air and the essence of nature. Enjoying a soft breeze on your neck or getting lost in the sky. These were privileges stripped from her and she was happy to finally have them back.
I wonder how long I’ll last...
Before somebody finally catches up to me...
I wonder if it’s fair to this woman...
Letting her house a fugitive, unknowingly...
I’m sorry, Tessia...
But this is the only way a girl like me can survive....
She sighs at the reluctant thoughts. Widow never harbored any malicious intent towards anyone. She was simply cursed to possess dark magics that incorporated a mass genocide of her kind.
She spent so much of her time hunted until they finally caught up with her and imprisoned her. She was grateful that her life was able to be spared. Even if it meant a large fraction of her life living as a slave to society above.
Even if she had to live out the next couple of years, held deep within the underground. She felt some days as if she would never return to the world above. Some days she would think of how maybe it was her fate to be sealed within the confines of the mine forever.
Her eyes drifted down to the ground as she gripped at her shoulder and tucked her chin into her chest. She was tough on the exterior, but on the interior she was falling apart. She was a vessel of fear that lived in terror.
Occasionally, she would look out the window in fear that one of the customers would be an experienced town guard possibly and that they would either find her or blow her cover.
For now however, she would try her best to steady her thoughts and would go back to preparing more reinforced wire.
She shifted back in her seat and placed a single [Mana Shard] upon the table and make her way back over to the crate. The crate was filled with many [Filaments] and she decided that it would probably be best to just grab at least eight more, that way she didn’t have to make multiple trips.
Carrying all of the filaments in the palm of her hand. She rested them upon the surface of the table and lined the up on the right. She set the mana shard in the center as a divider and placed the [Reinforced Wire] she had already made on the left. Examining the Filaments on the right side, she would begin to test them for their charge, then once satisfied she would begin the process of twining them together once more until it formed a piece of [Reinforced Wire]. She would then place it in an organized fashion next to the other.
She enjoyed the little hobby as it kept her mind of other things. Most of the time when she wasn’t keeping herself busy, her mind would drift into the painful past that she had lived and how it would be hard living a life on the run. She had great ambitions, but she knew that none of them would be able to bring her fame nor fortune.
She stared blankly at the wall as she withdrew another [Mana shard] from her palm, glancing at the crystal that infused with mana.

A puff of air blew out of Widow’s mouth as she glanced at the shard in skepticism, watching the jewel begin to emit light blue tendrils of energy bolts from within.
It’s unstable...
Just like the other one...
If only I was able to calm the storm of my mind...
Like I calm the storm within these shards...
Widow mumbles as she grasps the other one then looks between both of them and squints at each as she begins to slide them together then mumbles a light incantation.
“bragol alaa...” (Enlarge) She whispers as the two crystals begin to crackle with energy and begin to fuse together. Widow closes her eyes as to avoid the tension of the bright light.
The blue and red shard begin to glow and radiate a magnificent purple [Stabalized Mana Fragment]. Widow smiles and twirls the shard between her fingers as she begins to hum quietly an elvish tune.
She feels at peace as she works on the small scale projects. Her graceful side begins to show as she sings a elvish song and reflects upon thoughts of home in the Moon Dance Forest in the village of Pandora. She begins to contemplate about her father and mother, which in turn, only increases her sorrow.
The thoughts subtracted from her sense of inner peace as she longed to be with them. She missed being held in her father’s arms as a child and running her hands through his brown hair, or wrapping herself in his red velvet robe and giggling gently.
She chuckled at the thoughts of playing hide and seek with him and found herself smiling with pearly white teeth, the first time since she had been outside of her cell.
She enjoyed resting in fond memories of the village of Pandora and going fishing and hunting with her father. Her hands rested on the hilt of her blades as she remembered the times when he used to teach her the art of swordplay. She chuckled at the thought of how quickly he had knocked her off balance and disarmed her.
She licked her lips and began to channel another mana shard from her palms. This time she revealed a translucent white mana fragment, and she stared at it in curiosity. It wasn’t quite often that she was able to produce white ones, as most of the mana shards she made were often produced with a color matching her mood at the time. She thought maybe it had something to do with thoughts of her father.
She nodded gently, accepting the delightful notion and began to hold it out at the edges, and face it towards the clouds in the sky.
I know you’re out there father...
Watching over me...
I just want to let you know...
Your daughter’s going to be okay...
She smiled as she gazed at the sun that peaked softly over the clouds. She could hear the area outside begin to get busier and she simply kept quiet and occasionally peaked out to make sure Tessia didn’t need a hand. The Assassin was seeming to handle the place very well on the outside, so Widow kept herself busy on the inside as she glanced back over at the leftover filaments that lie on the table.

She grew tired of twisting the wire of the filaments together as shivered lightly as a cool draft blew from the window pane. She looked up towards the glass that began to have pelts of snow on it as the whether started to get colder and snowflakes began to descend from the clear blue sky. Widow watched as the white clouds hovered above and began to block out the sun temporarily.
She gazed out towards all the buildings in the city. She was slightly uncomfortable among such a largely populated area.
Everywhere she looked there were people of all shapes and sizes. Some wore tattered rags and were homeless. Others were more esteemed and magnificent in nature to behold. They were a wondrous flock of people with many varying personalities, ideals, and beliefs.
Widow was never one to care for status. They were all going to share the same fate in the end. There was no mount of gold that could offer you an escape from your fate. Unless, however, you were an adventurer, but that’s what intrigued Widow the most about them.
How they could walk so boldly in the face of battle put Widow at awe. She saw many of the courageous marauders storm dungeons with only a small number. Most of which were of much higher level than any lander she had ever scene. The whole idea made Widow wince with the slight essence of fear.
Day by day these adventurers grew stronger, whereas the landers in society could barely keep up at all.
It was discouraging to say the least. Widow felt somehow, inferior, to them in nature.
It was a feeling she got every time she crossed paths with them, which often triggered a defense mechanism from within. She shielded herself from them.
I wonder how long it will take...
For me to abandon you too...
I’m sorry, Tessia...
But I can’t let you share the same fate as I...
I’ll have to dissapear one day...
And be an erased stain upon your memory...
Widow clutches the pendant tightly to her neck.
The jewel is a gift of her mother’s. Though she is uncertain of the power it holds, she wears it daily across her neck.
Her slender fingers caress the outer glass and runs her skin over it’s surface as she begin to reflect upon how her mother would show her how she communed with the greater elements.
Her mother was a high elf among the council of Pandora, and because of this she had to journey to faraway lands often.
Widow missed her gentle smile and her graceful hands that where soothing to the touch.
Looking down and to the left, she tugged open a drawer and grabbed a pair of gloves to keep her hands cool. She tugged on the edges as they hugged tightly around her fingers she began to manifest her energy into producing yet another [Mana Fragment] this one was an earthy beige tone and it glowed dimly.
Widow stared a the fragment curiously and picked up the white fragment shard she had made when thinking about her father.
She placed the two together and smiled at the symbolism of marriage as she united them and let them merge into one.
The power that emitted was powerful yet volatile as she quickly kicked a bowl over from under the table and gently placed the [Unstable Mana Core] that was produced in the bowl. She raised her ash white eyebrows at the sight and chuckled lightly, placing the bowl on the table, far from the other ingridients.
"That was fun.."
