Kaos walked along the coastline, following his memory to the house he had picked out. After a short walk he saw his new house appear in the distance. As he approached his house he stopped to breath in the salt air. He stared at the brown oak door that was centered on at the main structure, facing the path towards the hillside. On top of the door was a carved wooden octopus, its arms reaching around to frame the door. The white wood paneled and plastered walls stood out on the hillside, never mind the fact it was the only structure currently standing there. He walked up the dark wood steps and onto the porch as the walked to the door and touched the knob. A small text bubble popped up and said 'Welcome Home'. He smiled softly and opened the door. He stood in amazement as he gazed around the Living Room, light flooding in from the large windows at the back facing the sea. The inside of the building looked old and run down but there was no reason he couldn't work on it, starting with cleaning up the dusty old place.
He walked into the kitchen and looked around it. He had nothing besides an oven that Kaos was sure didn't work. He walked back into the living room and looked around, luckily it was large and would allow him to practice his sword play, at least until he got some furniture. He walked into the bedroom and lookd at the bed in the middle of room. It didn't have any linens and looked like it would break if he even laid on it. He opened the door to the bathroom and looked inside. Besides the dust, it looked put together and just as run down as the rest of the house. The bathtub looked like a couple of baths in it might give you tetanus however. Kaos sighed and opened the door to the laboratory then immediately slammed it.

Kaos heaved a heavy sigh as he walked towards the main Living Area. This place is a mess. First things first, I guess. I will clean it up and repair anything that needs it. I mean I should be able to do that much at the very least. After doing that I should then bring in some furniture and get that lab set up. He walked around his new home, Casa de Cthulhu, opening all the doors and windows to air out the old sea-side cottage. The last window he opened belonged to the dilapidated laboratory near the back of the house, the room that filled him with the most discomfort due to its poor condition. I will start with this room... it seems to need it the most.
He bent down and started picking up loose pieces of wood and glass off the floor along with other debris. As his arms filled with the debris he carried it out side and made five grouping - some of which were really just piles. On the far left were several stacks of salvageable wood, which were organized by size, followed by a pile of salvageable metals (which was currently made up of mostly nails) to the right. This pile was followed by a pile of glass that, if given to a skilled artisan, could potentially be re-purposed into something else. The fourth pile was simply a trash pile where anything that couldn't be saved was put, this was followed by a carefully arranged group of lab equipment.
After an hour or so of cleaning Kaos finally had all the debris out of the laboratory, causing him to feel a little better. He looked around the room, which now lay bare except for the pair of large cabinets on either side of the room. The cabinet doors were open and a layer of dust and dirt still covered every inch of the room but it was a start. Kaos then moved from the laboratory and into the hallway where he began repeating the same process as he did in the lab, this time it only took about 15 minutes to clear the hallway out along with the attached pantry. The piles were getting rather large but Kaos was happy with that as it looked like several floorboards might need to be replaced and there were some holes in the wall that would need to be patched up. He spent the next four hours clearing out the debris from the rest of the house.
Kaos grabbed the broom, dust pan, and duster that he had found in the hall closet along with a mop and bucket. He began in the kitchen, sweeping up a surprising amount of dirt and dust. After his initial sweeping he began to dust off the cabinets and after a few minutes gave up and grabbed a good cleaning cloth, which he dipped in a bucket of soapy water before scrubbing all of the cabinets and counter tops. After he finished that he swept again, picking up any new dirt and dust caused by his cleaning. In each room he swept then wiped down any surfaces he needed to then swept again. He walked around the house and swept all the dirt into the dustpan then dumped them into a large sack which he also added the pile of trash located on the side of the house to. He emptied the bucket of now dirty soap water and stretched. At least I got here early today... After my repairs it will be about time for dinner and then time to head of to bed. I guess I should wait to mop until after I fix the walls and floor, seeing as I'll just make more mess doing that. Here we go. He readjusted his glasses and rubbed his shoulders, readying himself to make repairs around the house before finishing cleaning.
